This paper deals with the term feminism in modern studies, its history, and the contributions of various western and Arabic writers to this trend, notably, Virginia Woolf and Nawal Al-Sadawi. The paper trace their personal careers that contributed greatly to the rise of feminism in their fictional writings. The paper focuses on two texts by these novelists; Woolf's An Unfinished Story and Al-Sadawi's A Female Doctor's Memoirs.

The book, “The Arabic poetry heritage bibliography from pre-Islamic era up to year 1000 A.H” was recently published by Nenava Printing House for the researcher Mohammed Ahmed Shehab, 1st edition, 2011 A.D- 1431A.H. It is a
good effort for the researcher in investigating what was published on Arabic poetry heritage (divans, collections, and correction) across years. The researcher divided his book into four chapters. The first chapter is about divans and
collections; the second one is about corrections; the third is devoted to poets of tribes, families, kings, and princes. The last is about orientalists’ efforts. This study is considered a critique, a commentary and a correction for what is reviewed in this book.

This study aims at explaining Motives of delight and pain in the Abbaside poet ,investigating their activity and recognizing their dimensions on the poets identity. The poet is swaying between delinght and pain. Befor Studging these motives, We Consider to expgin the concept ( delight and pain) to form a general idea about these two tendencies and to show similarities and differenas between them. Then we limit ourselves with tow main axes because they are important motives Which have a notable role ,that stimulates this dichotomy .This dichotomy
reveuleled the concealed and the deep behaviour in the poet,s identity and its dreams,wishes,worry and suffering .These two motives are nature and woman.

The Andalusian deaf Poet has depended on Other Senses in painting his poetic landscapes . Most of these landscapes are painted with the white and the black . It is as if he conueys a psychological philoso phy of the light and
darkness . The deaf canuot realize the light , but he lives inadeep darkness . The use of other colours was little as compared to the white and the black . The poet sought to affivm the use of these two colours to convey to the veceiver the endless sense of somow and painthat weve brought a bout by his impairment . Besidei , the poet used other colours to affirm his self –image the depth of his imagination

This research declares "Abu Hanifa Aldaynori", and highlights his place among the Encyclopedic Arab scholars in the third century AH, his abundant variable scientific production, and his book "Plant" which is the most famous among his books, and the most important to the scholars in hits field, until they considered it an advanced Arabic Encyclopedia Both scientific and linguistic. The researcher examines the sources of Abu Hanifa in the book, the narrators whom he took the names of plants in the Arabian Peninsula from and their properties, and presents
examples of his many evidences in his publication that included pieces that were found of it. He also shows the clear impact of this book among the books that he produced afterward like books of language and its lexicons.

This research talked about the morphology structure for the intransitive verbs and its semantics in "Al-Shawqieat" , Al-Shawqieat is a divan , collection of poems for the great Arabic poet and a prince of poets "Ahmed Shawqi" .
The research focus on the base and bonus verb's semantics , so it shoe the semantics and meanings some transitive and intransitive verbs , and mentioned the term of "Consent" for the modernists and ancients and we explained who fixed and denial opinions for this phenomenon besides our opinion . The research observance to exposure the facts which will presentation it and erase its ambiguous .

Addressed in this research substitution in the book of Al-Shafi defined by the terms of the language and terminology, saying that it is stipulated that the scientists, the purpose of it, and scientists who looked after him, due to the difference in the number of letters, and the division of scientists has two parts, and they were Divisional issues of substitution in the book of healing, At the time, I remember the Qur'anic verse-precious, or Hadith, which deals

Different sources remark that Darwin is the first who, in 1872 , attracted the attention to facial expressions indicating that they reveal the thoughts and intentions of people more truly than words because words may be falsified . What is said by Darwin was rejected first, but after more than a century it was accepted and proved by evidence
collected by some other scholars. This paper is intended to prove that Darwin's ideas are strongly supported by verses in Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem. Those verses highly emphasize the relationship between emotions and facial expressions before about one thousand and a half years. It is also intended to prove that what is lately uncovered through the facts of science is previously decided by the Holy Qur'an.

This paper discusses a problem or problems which occurs while using prepositions in English since there is no clear-cut logic in selecting them. It tackles some controversial points concerning prepositions, such as how and when they can form a pair or pairs with a given verb, whether or not they can come in isolation at the end of a sentence, and how to make other parts of speech not to occupy their position. The purpose of this paper is to show the perplexity of using prepositions especially for EFL learners including Iraqi ones.

The present study aims at studying the moon myth in Sylvia Plath's poetry. The presence of the moon in her early poetry was associated with nature according to her mood, emotions and senses. Plath had used Robert Graves's The White Goddess myth as her Moon –Muse to represent sterility, barrenness, rivalry, cruelty and indifference in her late poetry. The moon myth was always female and had a great connection to Plath's personal life as female to
represent her as a young girl, wife, pregnant woman, and mother, then after separation from her husband Ted Hughes

The prior goal of the study is to provide a rather comprehensive analysis of the variable negative forms and patterns manipulated in Alice Walker's The Color Purple as a trustworthy source of information about the distinctive features of the African American Vernacular English(AAVE henceforth). The study assumes that AAVE shows quite distinctive syntactic features that make it considerably different from other varieties of English. The most prominent among these features is the forms and patterns of negation that are employed heavily in Walker's The Color Purple .The study focuses mainly on forms like: negative concord, negative inversion, negative postposing, and so forth. The use of AAVE in the novel is intentional as it consolidates the identity of the AfroAmerican oppressed character. Walker insists that Celie , her main character in the novel, , uses AAVE even though her character has changed dramatically from a naive black woman into an independent one.

The present study attempts to analyze stress patterns of Iraqi Arabic, particularly, Hity Arabic, an accent spoken in Hit town 175 k.m. to the south west of Baghdad. The study is specifically concerned with the assignment of primary stress at the word level within the recent manifestation of metrical approach outlined in Hayes (1995).According to metrical framework, stress is a hierarchy of rhythmic patterns in which one syllable scores relative prominence with relation to an adjacent one. Metrical stress theory assumes that generating the correct stress patterns should be done taking syllable quantity, foot inventory, directionality and extrametricallity into consideration. The study assumes that metrical approach succeeds in predicting both primary and secondary stress patterns in Iraqi Arabic in a straightforward fashion

The present paper has been set up to investigate the phenomenon of ostensible speech acts in Iraqi Arabic(hence forth) depending on intonational perspectives. It aims at identifying the different intonational patterns associated to some ostensible speech acts in IA.The data of the study were tape recorded IA everyday life conversations gathered from different situations. The utterances obtained were categorized as serious and non-serious ones. An attempt was made then to provide a comprehensive description of the intonational forms associated to each utterance. The results indicated that IA speakers can be distinguished according to the degree of formality of speech acts and
depending on the intonational forms they adopt .These findings predict the hypotheses of the study as to the variety of tones used

This study aims at showing Eugene O'Neill's attempt to find a medium which satisfies his needs as a dramatist. At the beginning of his career, he began as a writer of realistic plays. But his attempts to find answers to all
the big questions in life made him believe that he should try to put in his plays exaltation and an urge towards life which is derived from dreamlike realms. Therefore, and without him knowing that, he produced anew dramatic trend that might be read in the context of magic realism. This study analyses O'Neill's The Emperor Jones (1920) and his adoption of non- realistic methods which disrupt the prevailing theatrical conventions and produce this new trend (magic realism) that might be found almost anywhere in the play. O'Neill has a gift to mingle expressionism with magic realism by using the fantastic form of dream to the extent that he verge, upon the stream of consciousness of the protagonist, Brutus Jones. He also objectifies the subjective experience of his hero by introducing the Jungian concept of the collective unconscious, which suggests the residual memory of African culture and the capitalism
of the hero. O'Neill's obsession with the underside of human experience is a revolutionary imprint in the modern theatre. Therefore, The Emperor Jones is a good representation of the issue of fear and the process of
Jungian individuation in both the personal and racial past of O'Neill's protagonist, which the heart of the matter in the magic realism.
