Nine Cyprinion macrostomum fishes had been collecting from fishermen that fishing by throw net from
Euphrates river Al-mussab city, it had been measured and weighted, its weight 8.5-46 gm, and its length 9.5-
16 cm respectively and then examined it, throughout looking for parasite infection, ciliated was arise, then
start measuring it and comparing it with what the taxonomy references and what other researcher find, it
look the seam with what Al-Musawi, (2016) recoded and what Warren, (1986) mentioned, then by e-mailing
Pro. Dr. F.D. Mhaisen, and after he checked his Index-catalogue, Mhaisen, F.T. (2019), the parasite
considered as a new intrusive on C. macrostomum fish and this fish as a new host for it in Iraq

The present study was conducted at in the Quail field of the Faculty of the Agriculture/University of Basrah
for the period from 21/9/2017 to 12/11/2017 to determine the effect of adding different levels of red ginseng
roots powder to feed on some physiological of the Japanese quail. A total of 240 Japanese quail birds aged one
week were used in this study. The birds were randomly distributed into four treatments (60 birds for each). Each
treatment was replicated three times (20 birds for each). (T1) fed a basal diet without feed additive (control), (T2),
(T3), and (T4) were fed a basal diet with adding red ginseng roots powder 250, 500 and750 mg/kg respectively. The
results indicated add the red ginseng roots powder has no significant differences between treatments on some
blood characteristics (RBCs, PCV and Hb) at 60 days of age in both male and female, while the T4 and T3
treatments were recorded highest value in WBCs and the lowest Value in (H / L) for both male and female
compared with the T2 and T1. In conclusion, the red ginseng roots powder has a positive effect to improve the
immune status of quails and reduce stress.

The content of heavy metals was appraised at paddy fields, from a total of 54 soil samples gathered from two
locations in Ranau, Sabah and one from the UKM experimental paddy plot in Peninsular Malaysia, during2014
and 2015. Through an appraisal evaluate of contamination using the Index of Geo-accumulation (I geo) it was
noted that Chromium and Nickel levels in Ranau field 1 came under grade 6 (I-geo > 5 is considered to be very
contaminated), showing that the soil was heavily tainted with Cr and Ni, whilst Cobalt was discovered to be at
the grade 3 level (medium to strong contamination). On the other hand, Ranau field 2's I-geo for other metals
came under grade 1(which means medium to no contamination), highlighting the fact that the soils in these
areas were tainted with the examined metals, while the control field was found to be grade 0 (no
contamination). Ranau field 1 showed strong levels of the contamination factor (CF) for Co, Cr, and Ni, and its
Pollution Load Index was(PLI) was> 1, denoting a steady degradation in the area, with high levels of pollution
compared to those in the other tested areas. The average monomial ecological risk for Ni was found to be
between (40 – 80), highlighting that Ni contamination was considered to be of medium danger to the
surrounding environment. Through the Potential Ecological Risk Index, it was seen that Ni was a likely hazard
and presented a substantial danger. The RI values for the test sites were as follows: season 2015 (2.89) <
control for season 2014 (3.18).

The study was conducted on laboratory mice with body weight of 20-25 g . The male mice was divided into
three groups (A, B and C) each group contain three replicate and each replicate contain 5 animals. A and B
group were treated orally with (1.8 and 3.6mg /kg/day) respectively, while C group used as control and orally
given 0.9 % normal saline and determined the histological parameters during ( 21 days) and the second part of
experiment was divided into 3 group from female mice each group consist of (6) female first the control treated
with (0.9%Nacl) while the (second , third group) treated with chlorpromazine (1.8 and 3.6 mg /kg/day for 14
days before matting and then all females they were gathered to mate with normal male for sixteen days.
The histological study showed In both doses of Chlorpromazine of liver and kidney was represent by necrosis,
vacuolization, hemorrhage, and complete cell membrane degeneration in hepatocytes and kidney cells, as well
as recorded the lymphocytes infiltration in treated group, While the control not showed any histopathological
changes during the study. The results of second experiment show all females of experiment except the third
group which treated with (3.6 )mg from chlorpromazine not conceive and delivered but the control group and
second group was conceive.

The performance of the movable boards ditch opener (MB) and the conventional ditch opener (CD)
was compared using the disturbed area as a comparison parameter to determine the best among the two
implements. The experimental factors were three operating depths (30, 40 and 50cm) for MB in the
cultivated and uncultivated soils, while for CD in the cultivated soil only, because it could not penetrate the
uncultivated soil more than (25cm), three angles between the boards of MB (45, 60 and 750
) and one angle
between the boards of CD (650
) (the angle between the boards of CD was constant because its boards were
welded together), three wings widths of the foot of MB (25, 35 and 45cm) whereas, one share width (35cm)
for CD (for MB the wings can be changed by another wings of wider width whereas for CD it was provided
with share permanently fixed at the lower end of the boards) and two soil conditions (cultivated and
uncultivated soils).
The results showed that DA (the disturbed area, the cross-section area of the soil manipulated by
the implements) for CD and MB increased with operating depth and it was higher in the cultivated soil
compared with that in the uncultivated soil for MB only. DA increased with increasing the angle between
the boards of MB whereas, for CD the angle was constant so that DA was constant. DA also increased with
wings width of the foot of MB while, for CD the width was constant also, so that the DA was constant.
The operating depth increased DA more than the angle between the boards, the width of the wings
of the foot and the soil conditions. Whereas the angle between the boards surpassed the width of the foot
and soil conditions in giving higher DA. However, the width of the wings surpassed the soil conditions in
giving higher DA. This means MB gave higher performance than CD in both soil conditions. It also
penetrated the uncultivated soil down to 50cm despite of its great resistance whereas, CD could not
penetrate this soil type more than 25cm. Thus the field performance of MB was better than CD. In
additional to that, it gave wider cross-section width ditches and deeper ditch in both soil conditions
compared with CD.

The plant of water hyacinth Eichhornia crassipesis an abundant floating aquatic weed that has great potential for
reproduction in Iraq especially at Thi-Qar governorateat last years, So the study was conducted on plant at three different
regions to know the differences on some phenotypic characters are ( plant high , root longs , number of leaves , leaf area and
the fresh and the dry weights of leaves ) . The results were revealed a clear difference at plant high , root longs , number of
leaves , leaf area , fresh and dry weights of plant shoots , also concentrations of chlorophyll , carotenoids , carbohydrates
and proteins were estimated . It was found that a clear difference on the concentrations of the components that were studied
.
The ability of plant for extraction and accumulation of some heavy metals ( Pb , Cd , Cu , Zn and Mn ) and its
concentrations on plant tissues , water and soils were studied . The results were showing that , concentrations of heavy
metals ranged between( 0.32 – 25.24 ) mg / gm on the plant tissues , whereas ranged between ( 0.09 – 2.40) mg /l on water
and ranged betwee ( 0.53 – 26.66 ) mg / gm on plant soil . From the results , it was noticed that , the high concentration of
