This experiment was estimated percentage of chromosomal aberration (CAs), micronucleus` (MN) and mitotic index (MI) in bone marrow cells of mie laboratory as a way to measure/e Albendazole (ABZ) ability of the above variables. This study divided according to times injection and concentration of ABZ (200 and 400 mg / kg). Mice were divided into three groups included negative control I&II ( I no treated & II treated with 0.2 ml of normal saline), positive control split into two groups (one of them injected with ABZ 200 mg / kg, second with 400 mg / kg for 24 hours) and treatment groups. These groups are dividing to the sixth category according to concentration and period of treatment. Groups I&II (I the mouse were treated with ABZ three days 200 mg/kg for every day and II same period, but dose400mg/kg). Groups III&IV (III the mouse treated with two injection of ABZ 200 mg/kg first dose at zero day, and the second at seventh day and IV same period but dose 400mg/kg). Groups V&VI (V the mouse treated with two doses ABZ 200 mg/kg first three days, with one dose/one day and after seven days repeat three doses one dose /one days and VI same period, but the dose is 400mg/kg). The results showed that the ABZ drug led to significant increase in CA, MN and decrease in MI at (p<0.05). This percentage increases in conjunction with the length of the treatment period.

Antibacterial effects of phenolic extracts of three medical plants: Plantago lanceolota(Pl.); Convolvulus arvensis(Ca.) and Euphorbia granulate(Eg.) leaves, in different concentrations (5mg/ml, 10mg/ml and 20mg/ml) were carried out as a part of search for new antibacterial substance against important human pathogens. Antibacterial activities were carried out against four human pathogens, two Gram positive bacteria: Bacillus subtilis; Staphylococcus aureus and two Gram negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeroginosa; Klebsiella pneumonia. By the standard procedures the zone of inhibition of the extract was compared with different standard antibiotic drugs like: Oxytetracycline, Streptomycin, Gentamycine, chloromphenicol and Ciprofloxacin. Observed results showed that phenolic extracted from three plants in a different concentrations possess effective antibacterial against all tested organisms.

This study was conducted to evaluate the prophylactic effect of multistrain probiotic in drinking water, prebiotic in diet and both of them (symbiotic) when afford with a diet containing ochratoxins and fed to broiler chicks from 1 to 35 days old. The criteria of evaluation include hematological and biochemical analysis, in addition to associated lesions. A total 150 Rose day old broiler chicks were separated into five groups that each one received different diets. Ochratoxicosis group showed significant (P<0.05) reduction in hematological parameters in comparison with probiotic, prebiotic, symbiotic and control groups. The biochemical analysis of ochratoxicosis group showed considerable (P<0.05) increase in the serum uric acid and creatinine levels with reduction in serum total protein, albumin and globulins. Pathological observations in kidney of broilers in groups 3, 4 and 5 revealed no pathological changes as compared with group 2 that showing necrosis of proximal renal tubules, severe congestion and lymphocytic proliferation. Spleen of ochratoxicosis group showing poor lymphoid tissue and depletion with necrosis of lymphocytes when compared with control and treated groups (probiotic, prebiotic and symbiotic) that appeared normal architecture represented by white and red pulp with mature lymphocytes, also there are germinal centers in symbiotic treated group. Normal thymus architecture in groups 3, 4 and 5 when compared with ochratoxicosis group that showed necrosis in the lymphoid follicles and hemorrhage. Finally, it was conducted that the probiotic, prebiotic and symbiotic are effective in the amelioration of toxic effects of ochratoxins. Symbiotic are more effect than probiotic or prebiotic alone.

Radiation can be either useful or harmful when human exposed to any kind of radiations. The effects of radiations on human blood samples were tested. In this study, blood was irradiated with Ra-Be (α, n) thermal neutron source. The effects on the components of blood (Red blood corpuscles, white blood cells, and hemoglobin concentration) examined and recorded. The work undertaken focuses on the analysis of the blood sample after they had been irradiated. Four cc (4cc) blood samples were gathered from 8 different volunteers (4 males and 4 females). After that each samples was divided into two equal parts (1cc each) and placed in different polyethylene tubes, with the first to be used as a standard. The other sample were irradiated also for six hour using thermal neutron source Ra-Be (α,n). Afterward, new samples were taken from some volunteers, and the process repeated with different lengths of exposure to the radiation (12, 18, and 24 hours). It was found that the number of red blood corpuscles, white blood cells, and hemoglobin concentration decrease the longer the samples are exposed to thermal neutrons. This trend was consistent with each volunteer's samples, and came regardless of whether they were male or female.

This study aimed to determine the incidence of human respiratory syncytial virus (hRSV) and metapneumovirus (hMPV) occurrence in asthmatic patients in Wasit province. Blood samples were collected for measure the total and differential white blood cells count (WBCs). Correlation results of total and differential WBCs count for neutrophils, lymphocytes, eosinophils and basophils count among studied groups were significant (P <0.001). Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique has been applied for detection of total-IgE antibodies. Results revealed that the highest total-IgE antibodies titer in sera were significantly difference (p < 0.01). A total of 80 nasopharyngeal swabs were immediately dipped in transport media and stored until using for the detection of suspected hRSV and hMPV patients group by direct fluorescent assay the results appeared 13 (16.25 %) and 11 (13.75 %) samples were given positive results for hRSV and hMPV, respectively. Results of hRSV in asthmatic patients were subjected to real time – polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) appeared 15 samples out of 80 samples (18.75 %) were gave positive result for this test.

Thirty two of thermophilic bacterial isolates producing lipase were selectively isolated from soil samples contaminated with used engines oil using Tributyrin agar medium. The qualitative assay of lipase activity was done on Tributyrin agar plates by measuring diameter of the clear zone. The isolates 6T, 14T and 29T of the isolated strains exhibited a greater zone of clearance than the others, indicating higher lipase activity. Secondary screening for lipase production was done using liquid basal medium with 1% (w/v) olive oil and pH 7. Results from quantitative assay showed that 6T, 14T and 29T isolates appeared highest ability to produce lipase enzyme 4 U/ml, 10 U/ml and 7 U/mlrespectively. Therefore, the 14T isolate was selected and identified based on their morphological and physiological characteristics which was subsequently identified and designated as Bacillus licheniformis. The effect of incubation time, temperature and pH influencing lipase production from Bacillus licheniformis14T isolate was determine. Results showed that the maximal lipase production was 11 U\ml after 3 day of incubation at medium pH7 and temperature 50 0C.

This study was established to test the cytogenetic parameter of sister chromatid exchange (SCE) in type 2 diabetic patients for its close relationship with mutations. In this study, cytogenetic analyses were done on peripheral blood lymphocytes obtained from 25 type 2 DM patients using short-term lymphocyte culture .Human lymphocytes have long been used to assess the gene damage occurring in vivo as well as in vitro. Results showed significant high frequencies of SCEs were scored in type 2 DM patients [2.25±0.08SCE/cell] compared with control [1.28±0.04SCE/cell] (P<0.01). We concluded that the DM patients have significantly more genetic damage (high SCE frequency), and there are no significant differences in diabetic patients in relation with demographic characteristics (age and gender).

Composition of Silybum marianum (L.) Geartn extract rich with flavonoid sylimarin which have antioxidant properties. Aim of this project study the effects of sylimarin on In vitro fertilization (IVF) and cleavage stages of embryos in mice. Fifteen adult males and females mice were divided into three groups , each group containing 5 mice , first and second groups were treated with (25 and 50 mg/kg body weight) of Silybum marianum (L.) Geartn extract (IP) while the third group treated with normal saline as control group . After 35 days of treatment the animals (male and female) were sacrificed and sperms isolated from tail of epidydymis were used for the following tests: Sperm motility, dead / live sperm, sperm abnormalities and serum was collected to assay testosterone. Isolation of oocyte from oviduct and serum blood to hormonal assay (FSH and LH) . Sperm and matured ova were incubated in TCM-199 media for insemination. The results showed increase in body weight and testes weight in groups treated with Silybum marianum (L.) Geartn. Significant increase in sperm activity and decrease in percentage of dead sperm and abnormalities in groups treated with Silybum marianum (L.) Geartn. The male testosterone and female FSH, LH increased significantly in groups treated with Silybum marianum (L.) Geartn. IVF study showed significant increase in percentage of maturation, fertilization and cleavage (2-4 cells). In conclusion sylimarin have benefits effect on IVF and cleavage stages of embryo development when injected before IVF by improve fertilization of males and females.

The activities of peroxidase (POD) in hot pepper pericarp and broccoli were evaluated using spectrophotometric method. The enzymes were extracted from the pepper pericarp and broccoli 5 g with 20 mL of 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution pH (7. 0). POD activities were determined using guaiacol as a substrate. The effects of the concentration of enzyme extract, substrate concentration, hydrogen peroxide concentration, pH and temperature were investigated. The highest activity of POD was at (2.5 mg /ml) and (2mg/ml) enzyme concentration for hot peper and broccoli respectivily .The highest activity of using guaiacol concentration of 100 mM and 16 mM for hot peper and broccoli respectivily. POD was maximal optimized with guaiacol and 24 mM H2O2. The optimum pH was 6.0 and 7.0 for POD for hot peper and broccoli respectivily . The optimum temperature was 40°C and 30 °C for hot peper and broccoli respectivily. These optimum conditions were used to determine the enzyme activities in hot pepper and broccoli sample.

The present study designed to diagnose the Entamoeba histolytica parasite from patients with diarrhea attended to Maternity and Childhood Teaching Hospital and General Education Hospital in Al-Qadisiya Province, Theirs ages less than one year to 14 years at the period from the beginning of May to the end of November 2014 . The number of samples that have been collected (100) stool samples, and the number of samples infected is (36) sample ; After samples were examined in direct wet smear method using normal saline, include the study to investigate and to emphasize the presence of virulence factors amoebapore and phospholipase in parasite using Conventional PCR Technique.
The result showed that the infection rate was 36% (100). The age group of l-5 years showed the highest rate of infection (41.6%), while patients aged11-14 years showed the lowest rate of infection (11.1%). The infection rate in male was higher (58.3%) than in female (41.6%). It was found that the majority of cases (61.1%) were from Urban areas.
DNA was extracted from positive from stool samples and then after amplified using special designed for primers E. histolytica virulence factors genes that called amoebapore &phospholipase and the amplified DNA passed in Electrophoresis apparatus for DNA. The results showed that the mentioned factor is present in all positive samples of E. histolytica.

In this research ten samples of Drinking water from AL-Kut city, were possess to measure the concentration of radon gas using Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTD) LR-115 type II .The result marks obtained are different from 213.2-760.3 Bq/m3, and these values are within the allowed limits, and exhalation dose from drinking water has been calculated which was different from 6.03-19.18 mSv/y with an average of 11.22 mSv/y.
