This study was carried out on the chemical extract of leaves of the plant of Al-Shinan and was aimed at the most important chemical components of plant leaves, and quantitative determination major phytochemicals then tested on laboratory animals to know the most effective dose in reducing the concentration of total cholesterol in the serum blood of experimental animals. The Chemical tests showed that the leaves contain alkaloids, clicosides, phenols, flavinoids, soap and tannins. On the other hand, the total value of the yield of the ethanolic extract was 18.92%. and the results also showed the extract contained 1.112% phenol, 0.393% flavonoids and 1.5225% soap. In order to extract the most effective dose of the extract of this study, thirty mature male rats were selected and divided into five equal groups. The first was considered as a control group and only the distilled water was administered and the other groups were given 100,200,300 and 400 mg of crude ethanol / kg body weight. For four weeks. After two and four weeks of treatment, the results of the total cholesterol concentration measurements of the animals' forbidden blood samples for more than eight hours showed that the 200 mg / kg B.W. dose caused the highest reduction in total cholesterol concentration.

Uterine fibroids represent the major public problem and the commonest benign tumors. This study.was intended to determine the role of SOX4 gene in induction uterine fibroids, for these purpose 25 patients aged 37-70 years with severe uterine bleeding followed hysterectomy were included in this study. Histopathological of biopsies findings confirm the incidence of uterine fibroids. According the body mass index, the SOX4 gene expression recorded a high significant increase (p> 0.01) :Normal weight =1.74, Overweight =2.94 and Obese=3.81 when compared to control group that recorded in Normal weight =1.08, Overweight =1.04 and Obese=1.04 respectively. On the other hand; the effect of age in SOX4 gene expression folding revealed there was a highly significant increase on (p> 0.01) in group aged less than 45 years (2.6209) when compared to control group (1.0769). In more than 45 years mean folding of SOX4 gene recorded (3.443) when compared to control group (1.020).

In this work, the study was studied: drinking water and salts, (electrical and turbidity). The quality of drinking water withdrawn from the distribution networks of drinking water was examined in several areas of Kut city: (ALHORA, ALKHFAAT, ALKHACHIA, AlZAHRAA, DHAMUK, ALMASHROW, ALSHARQIA, ANWAR ALSADR, TAMWZ and ALJAMEA DSTRICT), and the Locations were selected for sampling, from December 2015 to April 2016. The results of the study showed that it exceeded most of the studied values of the global and Iraqi standard determinants.

In this research, the hand lay-up method was used for the preparation of a Nano composite material consisting of epoxy resin as a matrix material, Nano iron oxide powder (Fe2O3) and Nano aluminum oxide powder (Al2O3) as a reinforcement materials with a different weight ratio of (0, 6, 10, 15) %, the effect of addition of Nanoparticles on mechanical properties was studied for both types. Some mechanical test was performed on the prepared samples (Tensile test, Hardness, and Impact strength), Results showed that the value of the hardness and elastic modulus (E) increases with increasing the Nano added ratio while Impact Strength is reduced as a result of the effect of Nanomaterial properties on the matrix material.

The study evaluated the effectiveness of the water and alcohol extracts of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnhardt leaves in killing of the 3rd-4th instar larvae of Aedes caspius pallas collected from Wheat and Barley fields in AL- Kut city, Wasit province / Iraq. During the period of five months ( November 2013- May 2014). The results from statistical analysis showed significant difference between alcoholic extract and the water extract and the concentrations of Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves (0.05) recorded high mortality rate in concentration 10000ppm with 100 % to alcoholic extract and mortality rate to water extract with 90 %. As well as the alcoholic LC50 and LC90 that were given to same species, were calculated and the results were (8, 2700 ppm) respectively. Whilst the water extract at the same lethal concentrations findings were (2500, 9900 ppm) respectively.

The study was entirely conducted in Basrah province which commenced from early of December 2017 until April 2018. Totally, seventy five samples were collected from the nasal passage of sheep’s that randomly selected from the farms and from the lung and liver of slaughtered sheep at the Al-Qurnah abattoir. Five antimicrobial susceptibility testing were performed in order to identify P. multocida. Twenty one isolates (28%) of samples were identified as P. multocida through using selective media (Clindamycin Gentamicin medium). The morphological characterization identification of these bacteria was achieved using additional biochemical tests of Api20NE system. The total isolation was 33.3% from apparently healthy sheep and (40%) from the infected lungs. The frequency of bacterial isolates was found to be slightly greater in female sheep (38%) than in male (29.1%). All isolates were observed to be resistant for three antibiotics comprised ampicillin, bacitracin, and penicillin.

The current study was conducted in an advisory Pediatric in Al Zahra Hospital and Al-Karamah Teaching Hospitals in the city of Kut. This study included determining the extent of Kala-azar disease in the Wasit Province using Real-time PCR reaction in the present study. We collected 70 samples of suspected cases infected by visceral leishmaniasis. The results were 50/70 [71%] were positive and 20/70 [29%] negative in real-time PCR reaction test. The most age that have ability to infect with donovani was under one year.

present study was conducted at Veterinary Medicine college_ University of Basra to evaluated the effect and activation of eques extract of Eucalyptus globulus plant on some blood and biochemical parameters as well as on body weight in laboratory white rats. The experiments was divided into three group each group consist of six animal, the first group treated with 0.2 ml of normal saline(0.9%) for 15 The days and the second and third group treated with(0.2 and 0.4 )ml from eques extract of Eucalyptus globulus for 15 days, the experiment showed that significant decrease (p≤0.05) in body weight ,red blood cell, hemoglobin ,packed cell volume and white blood cell as well as significant decrease in the level of glucose in the blood , the experiment showed significant increase in the liver enzyme ALT and AST and increase the level of urea and creatinine .

A new type of compound was prepared in this study (AML). It was infrared spectroscopy. Use the composite to remove the Pb + 2 lead ion from its Aqueous solution by adsorption at certain conditions of the temperature and weight of theadsorbent material and the acidity and contact time. The composite was found to be effective in removing the lead ion at an acid function higher than 7 and at 25 ° C and contact time (90 min.
