The eloquence of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) remains an inexhaustible spring, no matter how many seekers crowd around it, and an inexhaustible sea of ​​​​gems, no matter how many dive into it, captivated by the beauty of expression and the brilliance of imagery. With the rhetorical knowledge God has bestowed upon us, we must endeavor to approach the world of creativity and innovative creation of this creator, whom God has endowed with an eloquence unmatched by any human being, a quality embodied in his book (Nahj al-Balagha).

Financial corruption is one of the negative phenomena that emerged in the Islamic state after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). It was a natural result of the expansion of the Islamic state and the influx of large sums of money into its coffers. Umar ibn al-Khattab attempted to find a solution to this problem, but his solutions were incomplete and did not contribute to solving it. Rather, they exacerbated its complexity. The situation worsened after Uthman ibn Affan assumed the caliphate and began appointing members of the Umayyad dynasty to Islamic provinces.

Among the most prominent of what the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) left behind are his sermons, letters and wisdom, which Al-Sharif Al-Radi collected in the book (Nahj Al-Balagha). Its name is the best indication of its content, as it is truly Nahj Al-Balagha, and students of knowledge have drawn from its source, and they have tried to fathom its depths and discover its secrets, each according to his own orientations and specialization. I wanted to be one of these people and stand on one of the aspects of creativity that distinguished the Alawite thought. I chose (The Significance of Personification in the Sermons of Nahj Al-Balagha) for two reasons: First, because it has not been addressed - to my knowledge - before and no previous studies have been written about it. Second, because I wanted, through this study, for the reader to be informed of one of the methods used by the Commander of the Faithful in his speeches, which is the method of personification, in which he brings life to what is lifeless and describes it with human characteristics in order to achieve semantic purposes. The nature of the research required that it be divided into three paragraphs, preceded by an introduction in which I discussed personification linguistically and technically.

The research is titled (Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in the gatherings of Sayyid al-Murtada). It is a study of a distinctive scholarly work whose common academic name is “Amali al-Murtada” by al-Sharif al-Murtada, the scholar of guidance, Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Musawi, who died in the year (436 AH). “Amali” is the plural of “Imla’,” a style that was popular in the era of al-Sharif al-Murtada and before, and refers to what a sheikh dictates to his students in lectures or gatherings, or what he dictates in his own handwriting.

Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) is the father of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them all). He is a unique Imam who is to be emulated and whose fragrant biography is to be enlightened. His life is a school for generations, and his blessed biography embodies the hope of religious laws and civilizations. It is the duty of every Muslim to draw inspiration from his biography and chart his own path in knowledge and action in all areas of life. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) paid great attention to everything related to society, striving to build the human being and raise his level on all levels. Therefore, among his concerns was his attention to history, as a tool for educating the human being and developing his mental abilities by benefiting from his experiences throughout the ages.

Rhetoric in ancient and modern Arabic literature has constituted a distinct art form of Arabic prose. Rhetoric appeared among the Arabs in ancient times as a need and a means of expressing various kinds of emotional, psychological and intellectual feelings, which gave it a distinct presence in most forums of action and speech. The Arabs were able to present in this literary genre models that demonstrated skill, mastery and good choice in verbal expression that is based on premises and motives that gave birth to this genre of the art of speech, so it bore fruit and ripened. The types of this art have varied and diversified according to the context in which it was born.

The book (Nahjul Balagha) represents a rich tributary of the Arabic language. It is a book of utmost perfection, following the Sunnah and the Criterion, because it includes the words and rare eloquence of those upon whom the Qur’an was revealed. Therefore, no one can describe the arts of eloquence and aspects of rhetoric in it, because he rode the highest peak of them. Then, its compiler is considered one of the poles of Islamic thought, namely Al-Sharif Al-Radi, who emerged in Arabic literature, focusing on the study of the words of God, His Messenger, and the Commander of the Faithful, may God’s prayers be upon them and their family. Regarding the words of God, he discussed the issue of interpretation in a book he called (The Realities of Interpretation in the Ambiguous Revelations), about which it was said: (Al-Radi wrote a book on the meanings of the Qur’an, the like of which is impossible to find).

The family plays a fundamental role in upbringing, as a person spends a large portion of their life within it, shaping their spirit and personality. The first five years a child spends in a family are the foundation for shaping their personality, and the individual's future self is a reflection of that stage. A good family will produce good children.
