In this paper, we calculate the Brauer trees and the decomposition matrices of the symmetric groups Sn when n= 17, 18, 19, 20 for p=17 by using (r,r ̅)-inducing.

In this work, we interested in studying the geometrical properties of Vaisman Gray manifold, we've identified these properties by using vanishing pseudo projective. Where we found the components of this tensor in Vaisman Gray. Moreover, we established a relationship between Vaisman Gray and NK-manifolda and the necessary and sufficient condition in which aM is an Einstein manifold are found, as well as more related results were given.

The thermal diffusion of dopant impurity in multi-quantum-well heterostructures can be modeled with the second Fick’s law equation by using temperature dependent diffusion coefficient and equilibrium segregation coefficient at the interface between the layers of the heterostructures. The model adopted analytical methods by using the Laplace transform technique to solve the diffusion equation in different circumstances. The model has applied to practical structures such as InGaAs/InP detectors and InP/〖In〗_0.53 〖Ga〗_0.47 As/InP transistor. The results encourage to improvement the model to accommodate the complex types of heterostructure devices. The model may be a useful reference for a laboratory process controlling the dopant diffusion in multi-quantum-well heterostructures devices after future development.

Facebook has gained the popularity among postgraduate students around the world as a platform to get connected with other students. However, the studies on postgraduate students’ knowledge sharing behavior using Facebook are limited. The main aim of this study is to examine factors affecting postgraduate students’ knowledge sharing behavior on Facebook. This study was motivated by the concern to extend the use of Facebook to be used by postgraduate students not only for social activities but also to extends its usage to be an important platform for knowledge sharing. Two methods were adopted, which were an interview with three experts and survey to sixty students from the University of Basrah. Based on the regression analysis, the results indicate that knowledge sharing is affected only by Organizational Culture, Attitude toward Knowledge Sharing, Subjective Norms, and negatively affected by Enjoyment to Helping Others. Further, the Attitude toward Knowledge Sharing is affected by Expected Association, and adversely affected by Expected Feedback. This paper is one of the first studies to explore the study of knowledge sharing behavior of postgraduate students on Facebook. This study may help promote using Facebook as a knowledge-sharing platform and thus assist postgraduate students to take advantage of Facebook to improve their learning process. Finally, using Facebook as a knowledge-sharing platform will improve the problem solving of postgraduate students and run their research easily.

Model organisms are loadstar to the workers in the scientific field, because of its features such as small of chromosomes numbers or short life cycle, in addition it have a complete genomic map. Arabidopsis thaliana L. is a member of these groups. This plant is not its exists in Iraqi flora. And because of the difficult and costs of importing seeds from certificated suppliers, this study aimed to put a rapid and cost effective protocol for planting A. thaliana in Iraqi laboratories ambient and make it available for plant biology researchers. The plant seeds of A. thaliana ( Colombia 0 ) were cultivated in several growth media ; sand – peat moss mix 1:1(V:V), sand – peat moss mix, 1:2 (V:V) and Peat moss only, under growth room conditions; 25±2°C, 8000 Lux and 70% RH). In addition to Arabidopsis germination medium as compared medium. The results indicated that the growth medium of sand -peatmoss at the proportion of 1:2(v:v), was more significantly effective in all growth parameters through vegetative growth, flowering, pods and seeds production followed by sand-peatmoss1:1 (v:v). The second generation of seeds were collected and then tested to ensure its viability.

The current manuscript includes measuring the natural dose of emitted gamma-rays for the table salt (nature salt) taken from different locations, in the southern provinces of Iraq. The locations selected are Basrah (Fao (Al-maamir), Hamdan industrial area, and university (Germat-Ali), Al-Nassiriya (Suq Al-Shuyookh), Al-semawa (Sawa Lake) and Al-Amara ( Qalat Salih). After using two types of standard quality dosimeters lithium fluoride and Calcium fluoride which are made by Harshaw chemical company and after a series of tests conducted on them to make sure of their validity, it is found that the natural dose rate of gamma-rays in these locations is equal to 8.02, 8.25, 8.2, 7.65, 7.45 and 7.27 µrad/h respectively. The results also show that the natural dose rate of gamma-rays falls within the allowed limit which is 0.5 rem/year as far as the technique used and referred to above is concerned. This study technique is especially interesting because of its low cost, short response times. Furthermore, dosimetric material may be used for personnel dosimetry.

600 samples of vaginal discharge and urine were collected from women who visited Basrah Teaching Hospital, Basrah Maternity and Children teaching Hospital and Al-Faihaa Hospital in addition to some private medical clinics in Basrah Province, southern Iraq, during the period from January 2019 to December 2019.The diagnostic technique that was used for each sample is microscopic examination (wet preparation). Results revealed that 1.6% women were infected by Trichomonas vaginalis .The occurrence of the infection was only among married women. The highest rate of infection was recorded in non-pregnant women and it was found that there are significant monthly distribution differences in the infection of the parasite.The highest infection rate appeared in September was 3.44%, Nor significant differences in prevalences were found according to age, occupation, education, location and economic status, the differences were significant in terms of clinical symptoms and PH status.

The patients with different ABO blood types and Rhesus factor are different in their vulnerability to numerous diseases. The association between the ABO blood types and bacterial infections has been the dialectical subject which is still under investigation and research. Typhoid fever and urinary tract infections are one of a main public health problem in the world. Therefore, this study was conducted to recognize the relevance between blood types and bacterial diseases, particularly; typhoid fever and urinary tract infection (UTI) caused by uropathogenic Escherichia coli. A hundred eight of blood samples taken from people infected with typhoid fever and sixty nine of each urine and blood samples taken from people infected with UTI. The patients are from both genders and various age groups (12- 65) years. Agglutination assay was achieved to check the blood groups of all patients. Salmonella typhi was diagnosed by using rapid diagnostic test (RDT) for hundred and eight patients. On the other hand, the uropathogenic Escherichia coli for sixty nine patients were diagnosed by the Vitek-2 device. The results of typhoid fever study showed that a twenty eight individuals of A-type with a percentage of 25.92%, forty six individuals of B-type with a percentage of 42.59% and thirty four individuals of O-type with a percentage of 31.48%, whereas none of infected individuals belong to AB- type. It means that the blood B-type is carrying the highest rate of infection, O- type comes after and then A-type. Also, uropathogenic Escherichia coli study results showed that a thirty six individuals of A-type with a percentage of 52.17%, six individuals of each B&AB-type with a percentage of 8.69% and twenty one individuals of O-type with a percentage of 30.43%. It means that the A- type is carrying the highest infection rate, O-type comes after and then B &AB-types. In reference with gender factor, it was observed that the feminine morbidity is higher than masculine in uropathogenic Escherichia coli. While finding the opposite in typhoid fever.

The present study aimed to evaluate the preventive role of ascorbic acid in female laboratory mice treated with the methomyl Carbamate insecticide, The research included a study of physiological changes in the level of the sex hormone estrogen and the Phase Oogenesis and measuring of the antioxidant glutathione and catalase enzymes level . In the current study, 40 females mice of age (10-12 weeks) and weight (23-25 g) were used with sexual experience and were divided into five groups. Each group contained eight mice. The first group was injected with the physiological solution, The second group treated with low dose of the pesticide 1 mg / kg methomyl pesticide, the third group (with high dose of the pesticide) was injected with a concentration of 2mg / kg of methomyl pesticide, the fourth group was injected with a concentration of 200 mg/kg of ascorbic acid After being injected with the 1 mg / kg dose of the pesticide and the fifth group was injected with a concentration of 200 mg/kg of ascorbic acid after being injected with the 2 mg / kg dose of the pesticide. The results showed a significant decrease in the level of estrogen hormone in the serum of female laboratory mice with both doses treated with the pesticide. The injection of mice treated with ascorbic acid also improved the level of the hormone, which led to an increase in its level in the serum compared to its level in the two groups treated with the pesticide only (methomyl), as the statistical analysis showed that a reduction occurred significant number of Ovarian vesicles and the two doses treated with the pesticide, while treatment the mice with ascorbic acid recorded a distinct protective role in the process of Oogenesis. In addition, ascorbic acid preserved the levels of antioxidants in the serum of mice after it increased significantly due to treatment with methomyl only.

The current experiment was conducted in the Fish Laboratory of Aquaculture Unit-College of Agriculture-University of Basra to investigate the effects of fish weight and water temperature on feed intake of grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idella (Cuvier and Valenciennes, 1884). Five water temperatures (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30) oC and two fish weight (average weight 55 and 400 g) were investigated. Results of the current experiment showed that the highest daily consumed feed for large fishes was (9.44, 12.32, 17.76, 37.04 and 35.92) g, while the lowest daily consumed feed for small fishes was (3.68, 6.88, 4.64, 7.60 and 6.56) g in the temperature degrees, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 oC respectively. The average consumed feed and daily feeding rate by small fishes showed significant differences (P≤0.05) between water temperature 10 oC with 25 and 30 oC, while there were no significant differences (P>0.05) between water temperature 10, 15 with 20 oC, and between 15, 20, 25 with 30 oC. The average consumed feed for large fishes showed significant differences (P≤0.05) between water temperature 10 and 15 oC with water temperature 30 oC, while there were no significant differences (P>0.05) between water temperature 20 oC with other four temperatures. Statistical analysis of average daily feeding rate for large fishes showed significant differences (P≤0.05) between water temperature 10 oC with 25 and 30 oC, while there were no significant differences (P>0.05) between other temperatures. It can be concluded from these results that water temperature affected the daily feeding rate too much comparing with the low effect of fish size.

The current study was conducted for a full year (from December 2018 to November 2019) to study and determine the concentration of total petroleum hydrocarbons in the soft tissues of two species of Molluscs Snails Bellamya bengalensis and Clams Pseudodontopsis euphraticus whose samples were collected from four stations located on the Euphrates River in the city Nasiriyah, southern Iraq. The total petroleum hydrocarbon concentration was calculated in B. bengalensis, P. euphraticus, water and sediments using an ultra violet fluorescence apparatus, as it was found through the study that the highest concentration was recorded during the winter and the lowest during the summer, and the range from the average concentration of total hydrocarbons in B. bengalensis (1.52-12.96) µg /g dry weight , P. euphraticus (16.69 -1.46) µg/g dry weight , water (8.43-31.28) µg/l and for sediments(205-118) µg/g dry weight. The second and third stations also recorded the highest concentration .The lowest concentration levels in the first and fourth stations. It was noticed through the results that there is a seasonal and local variation in the concentration of total oil hydrocarbons in water, sediments and living organisms in the Euphrates river, as it was found that the highest concentration rate in the sediments followed by water, then P. euphraticus and B. bengalensis, was a percentage the TPHs in the study area are within the global and Iraqi determinant

In this work, a theoretical study has been accomplished to calculate the charge current through a single quantum dot coupled to two normal (non-magnetic) leads. This study is based on Anderson's single-impurity model to model QD with a single level hybridized with two leads. The system is in a thermal non-equilibrium regime due to the difference in the leads temperatures. The equations of quantum dot energy levels and the corresponding occupation numbers are solved self-consistently, then the charge current is calculated as a function of temperature difference in the presence and absence of the magnetic field. The results showed that the rectification and outward rectification with fixed bias voltage, take place by adjusting device parameters such as the correlation interaction and the magnetic field.

In this paper, described and analyzed Petrov-Galerkin finite element (PGFE) method for solving of Convection-Diffusion-Reaction (CDR) problem, proved two properties of the bilinear form a_PG (U,v), (continuity and ψ-elliptic). The stability and error estimate (semi-discrete and full-discrete) are proved and the approximate solutions are convergent with the error of O(h^2 ),O(h+τ), respectively. The numerical results of PGFE method show the convergence and accuracy of the method.

Determination of total proteins in human blood serum(HBS) by using a lab built semi-automated flow injection (FI) system. This technique consists of two types of microcontrollers (Arduinos) supplied with a home-made software program. The first one was (UNO) type used to manipulates the home-made injection-pump stopper-motor type and the other one was (Mega) type which was used as a data logger to record the results as a peak height by using Microsoft Excel program. The maximum absorption obtained at a wavelength of (551 nm). The linear calibration curve was applied in the range (2-8 g/l) with a regression coefficient of (R2 =0.9986) and the detection limit was (1.0 g/l). The R.S.D is (0.29 %) for 12 successive measurements of 4 g/L of albumin and the sample throughput was (120 sample / h). The recoveries of (95.2-104.7 %) and (74) serum samples of patients in range (40-78 g/l). This method is simple, sensitive, and convenient which was successfully applied to the determination of total proteins in different samples of human blood serum.

In this paper, a system of two nonlinear differential equations of the fourth order has been studied by using local method of the Lyapunov –Schmidt. We showed that the bifurcation equation corresponding to this system is given by a nonlinear system of two algebraic equations. The discriminate set of nonlinear algebraic equations has been found and geometrically described.
