This study aimed to identify the content of news coverage in Gulf newspapers regarding the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, specifically focusing on the Asharq Al-Awsat and Al-Raya newspapers, from December 20, 2022, to January 20, 2023. Content analysis was used, employing a descriptive survey methodology. The researchers conducted a comprehensive survey of 141 articles related to the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, divided into 73 articles from Asharq Al-Awsat and 68 articles from Al-Raya. The study yielded several key findings, most notably:

1. Both Asharq Al-Awsat and Al-Raya newspapers heavily emphasized sports-related topics in their coverage of the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, as these were considered the most relevant to the nature of the event, providing insights into the tournament's events and activities.

2. Both newspapers relied on their own sources (reporters and correspondents) during their coverage of the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, considering them the most accurate and credible source of news.

3. During their coverage of the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, both newspapers focused on interpretive reporting, aiming to explain and clarify the significance and implications of the event.

Our research mentioned above focuses on the role of laws,
whether general or specific, in providing the necessary protection for
the state’s revenues generated from its border crossings, preventing
waste and dissipation of the revenues generated from them, which
may be considered an essential resource for the state to rely on to
finance its annual budgets, and despite the fact that Iraq occupies an
important geographical location on The World Atlas makes it an
important link between the countries of the world in the field of
movement of goods and goods through its land and water ports.
However, we find that Iraq’s annual revenues resulting from this
constitute only more than 10% of its annual revenues, which put this
reality before the question: Are there deficiencies? Legislation can be
attributed to the reason for the decline in the state’s revenues through
its border crossings, so it was necessary to review the laws in force to
identify their shortcomings and address what could be addressed
