Manuscripts are an important part of the Arab-Islamic heritage,
which is a rich and diverse heritage in which scholars have put together a
summary of their ideas and experiences, and the West and the entire
world have benefited from it. The research included the importance of
investigating the mother manuscript in recording the heritage. This
expression is used to refer to the original manuscript written by the
author, and then I discussed The criteria for choosing the mother copy, the
problem facing the investigator during the investigation stage, the
methods for choosing this copy from among the rest of the copies, the
importance of determining its value, the need of the mother copy for the
rest of the copies, and among the most important recommendations that
the researcher reached is determining the copy that will become the
approved original in the investigation. More interest in verifying heritage
books, and the need for researchers to pay comprehensive attention to
the tools of the science of investigation, and to ask knowledgeable
professors who specialize in everything related to research in this field
