The issue of modern interpretation, which emerged in the late twentieth century, has occupied a wide space in the field of Islamic studies. It remains a subject of debate among scholars, as it calls the entire Qur'anic text into question. Among these scholars is Dr. Ahmed Khalaf Allah, who has raised disputes about the mythological nature of Qur'anic stories. Therefore, this article focuses on Ahmed Khalaf's opinion on the Qur'anic stories: Are the Qur'anic stories realistic? Are the Qur'anic stories fictional or mythical?
From Dr. Khalaf's perspective, language is a carrier of modernity and a medium that fosters contemporary meaning. The Qur'anic text is capable of infinite meanings, and therefore accommodates multiple readings. Therefore, it is necessary to liberate ourselves from the old interpretations to keep pace with the times and developments. The Qur'an is not a history book. If we treat the Qur'anic text as a literary text, not a historical one, it will avoid what we consider to be doubtful. This research examines the concept of arrogance (istikbār) in the Holy Qur’an from psychological, social, and ethical perspectives. Arrogance is presented as a destructive behavioral phenomenon rooted in human nature, manifesting in pride, self-deception, and rejection of truth. The study analyzes Qur’anic narratives of figures such as Iblis, Pharaoh, and Qarun to illustrate the individual and collective forms of arrogance and their devastating consequences for individuals and societies. Drawing on Qur’anic exegesis and modern psychological theories, the research highlights the psychological roots of arrogance—including narcissism, desire for domination, and ignorance—alongside social factors such as upbringing, cultural influence, and political authority. The findings demonstrate that arrogance not only disrupts individual mental well-being by fostering anxiety, egocentrism, and social isolation, but also undermines societal cohesion, justice, and civilizational progress. The Qur’an offers a comprehensive therapeutic framework, emphasizing worship, self-purification, humility, and social reform as effective means of preventing and countering arrogance. This integrative approach affirms the Qur’an’s relevance in addressing both personal development and societal harmony, linking timeless spiritual guidance with contemporary psychological and social insights.

This study explores the impact of religious assignment on how employees fulfill their duties in public service. It delves into the conceptual foundations of religious assignment, including its core elements and conditions, and examines the notion of public employment from both religious and legal viewpoints. Central to this examination are key professional obligations such as honesty, integrity, and justice. The research highlights how a sincere commitment to religious values, rooted in this assignment, shapes employees’ behavior by promoting greater discipline, productivity, job satisfaction, and a cooperative spirit within institutions. The findings suggest that religious assignment serves as an intrinsic motivator and a form of self-regulation, which together enhance the quality of job performance beyond what is achieved through formal administrative controls. The study also acknowledges practical and cultural obstacles, like the prevailing materialistic mindset and limited religious awareness, and proposes constructive strategies to address these challenges. This research studies the significance of the intermediate sounds in the syllabic texture of Surat Al-Hashr, in conjunction with the Quranic comma. The goal is to understand the syllabic sound structure and its expressive significance in the surah. A syllable is a complex sound, containing the sound and its pronunciation. The study of this sound and its significance is subject to a number of influences, such as the morphological nature of the sound and external factors, such as the time period of the speaker and the recipient.
We found a difference in the occurrence of each segment based on the punctuation that appears in it; this difference gives a specific indication, which calls for contemplation in order to grasp those meanings. The introduction included a definition of the Quranic punctuation and the audio segment, then we explained the types of Quranic punctuation and their impact on the segmental formation in the Quranic text, a matter that obliges the researcher and linguist to interrogate the text and unlock its complexities. Surah al-Kawthar is the shortest surah in the Holy Qur'an, yet it carries great meanings and profound messages that reflect God's favor upon His Prophet Muhammad and demonstrate the triumph of truth over falsehood.
The research begins with an introduction about the importance of the surah and its position in the Qur'an. It then examines the reasons for its revelation, particularly in the context of the harm the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was subjected to by the polytheists, who accused him of being "cut off." In its three verses, the surah demonstrates how God Almighty bestowed upon His Prophet the River of Kawthar, a symbol of abundant goodness in this world and the hereafter, and commanded him to pray and sacrifice in gratitude to God, while simultaneously indicating that the one who hates the Prophet is cut off from goodness and remembrance. The research also includes a linguistic and rhetorical analysis of the words and structures, explaining their powerful connotations in the context of responding to enemies and strengthening the Prophet's heart. The study highlights the surah's rhetorical miracle in terms of brevity, coherence, and powerful impact.
Finally, the research emphasizes the educational messages learned from the surah, including patience in the face of harm, gratitude for blessings, and the connection to worship as a means of drawing closer to God

The Islamic religion is unique with provisions and laws that distinguish it from others because the Holy Qur’an has clarified many of them, by explaining the stages of human life and his rights in each stage of his life, because the Almighty revived this human being who was created from clay and breathed into him from his soul, just as the Almighty revived His heart is with the light of faith and knowledge of the Creator, just as life and life are not specific to the worldly life only, but include even the afterlife, so this was the focus of the research.

The Qur’an is rich with numerous verses that embody social values aimed at refining human behavior and steering it away from any form of deviation from the right path and proper conduct. It presents optimal steps for human beings to realize the purpose of their existence. Through these social values, the Qur’an outlines a roadmap for effective behavior in life, enabling individuals to be conscientious and diligent in fulfilling their divine responsibilities and in interacting with both themselves and their social environment.
Unfortunately, there is a growing trend of denying the Divine Self and promoting what is known as the phenomenon of atheism, which has spread among individuals in various societies. This clearly indicates a departure from upright values. Therefore, the Qur’anic texts that confront such phenomena are of great importance. This study examines selected verses that address such moral and behavioral deviations, focusing particularly on the phenomenon of atheism. It provides a Qur’anic exegetical (tafsir) analysis that highlights the role of social values in addressing deviant behaviors and in guiding human conduct toward ethical integrity and social cohesion

The Qur’anic witness is of great value to Sibawayh (d. 180 AH), as it is the basic linguistic reference upon which he relies and is used as evidence to prove a grammatical or morphological phenomenon. He followed his own interpretive approach and wrote it down for himself, as commentators do when they attempt to interpret the noble verses. Thus, he attempts to interpret the words of the Arabs in the same way, and this research attempts to reveal the extent to which Sibawayh (d. 180 AH) employed the Qur’anic witness in nominal structures, while clarifying the extent to which this employment leads to revealing the intended meaning of the sentence, that is, revealing the interpretation of the meaning in the Arabic sentence.

This study addresses usurious dealings: an unlawful gain, explicitly stated in the Holy Quran, with no blessing, bringing misfortune and a loss of wealth and debt. It is a chronic disease that has spread throughout society, and the wisdom behind ill-gotten gains. Usury dealings are an abomination, condemned by sound minds and abhorred by divine laws.
In Islamic law, usury (interest on loans and funds subject to conditions) is strictly prohibited and considered a major sin. Usury is viewed as oppressive and exploitative of the poor and needy, and has significant negative effects on individuals and society. Usury leads to the concentration of wealth in the hands of a select few and widens the gap between the rich and the poor. In general terms, usury is any conditional increase in advance on the principal in exchange for a fixed term alone. It is distinguished from other sales by the conditional interest. The legal basis for prohibiting usury is that it is prohibited in all divine laws. Its prohibition in Islam is based on conclusive evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, consensus, and rational practice

This research aims to study the aesthetic guidance of the audio repetition in the short wall, as intensive models of the Quranic miracle, and the research starts from the deliberative framework that highlights repetition tool to influence the recipient, then deepens in the aesthetic dimension that reveals the energy of the Quranic rhythm in stabilizing the meaning and creating the psychological impact, and the research has dealt with a selected wall, such as Al -Fatihah, and sincerity, The separation, the people, and the rosy, indicating how the audio repetition transforms the Qur’anic text into an integrated auditory and spiritual experience, and the research concluded that repetition in the Holy Qur’an is a deliberate rhetorical system that is based on the audio balance, and contributes to renewing the horizon of aesthetic and faithful reception.

And after that... Self-harm is a topic extensively addressed in Islamic jurisprudence. When a person harms themselves, it can cause material, moral, spiritual, reputational, or property loss. As the Almighty says, "We have certainly created man in the best of stature..." (Surat At-Tin, verse 4). However, under the pretext that they control their lives and possessions and can make any decision regarding them, people sometimes harm themselves, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Yet, their decisions and actions concerning themselves are generally considered correct, and are in accordance with both reason and Islamic law. Therefore, the aim of this research is to study the levels of self-harm from the perspective of Imami jurists, using a contemporary example: cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery has become increasingly prevalent in our Muslim societies and can sometimes reach the highest levels of self-harm. The research comprises two sections, each with two subsections. The first section includes a definition of the terms in the title, the types of necessary and cosmetic surgeries, and the types of general and specific harm. The second subsection includes evidence from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (Prophetic traditions) on the prohibition of self-harm. The second section includes a subsection... for one reason or another, to divorce his wife. In this case, the wife finds herself in a difficult situation that she cannot bear. Among these cases are the cases where her husband is missing, or where her husband does not provide for her, or where her husband harms her. In these cases and similar cases, the woman raises her case to the Sharia judge, who in turn orders the husband, if he is present, or his guardian, if he is missing, to divorce or provide for her. If they refuse to do both, the Sharia judge divorces her at her request. After the waiting period ends, she is in control of herself.

Rituals have existed as a social phenomenon across generations, evolving from one generation to the next. What we focus on now is the significance of these rituals throughout history. The question posed is: What are the rituals in human societies, and what role does The Quran and its scientific authority play in modifying them? This article aims to highlight the most important functions of prevalent rituals in human societies through a descriptive-analytical approach, emphasizing the position of The Holy Quran as a supreme reference and an ultimate source for modifying common rituals over time. The research sheds light on several prevalent rituals across different eras and examines the role of The Quran and its scientific authority in this context. The results indicate that there are rituals with purely human origins, others that are human-based but supported by divine authority, and some that have a divine, non-human origin, justified by guiding and purposeful reasons. The Quran calls upon people to honor rituals, linking it to piety as a foundation for practicing any ritual, while also warning them at times and permitting them at others. Thus, the role of The Quran is crucially important regarding the aforementioned subject

This study examines the issue of determining the mode of revelation (shakl nuzūl) of Sūrat al-Insān as addressed by classical Qurʾanic exegetes, in light of the transmitted reports on the chronological order of revelation. This issue represents a significant exegetical step, as it contributes to uncovering the nature of the thematic and structural coherence between the sūrah’s internal sequence and the sūrahs that precede and follow it. The importance of this lies in its ability to enhance our understanding of how the Qurʾanic objectives and purposes interconnect within the sūrah’s contextual flow. Moreover, it strengthens the possibility of accurately determining the sūrah’s proper position and its chronological placement within the sequence of revelation.
The study further demonstrates that placing Sūrat al-Insān aft er Sūrat al-Raḥmān and before Sūrat al-Ṭalāq—based on the relevant reports on the order of revelation—directly informs the long-standing debate among exegetes regarding its Meccan or Medinan provenance. It also sheds light on the partial-revelation claims advanced by some commentators. The findings indicate that establishing the sūrah’s precise location and its chronological sequence, through a critical analysis of the nine major reports on the order of revelation—along with their chains of transmission and variant pathways, followed by an examination of exegetical opinions—provides strong support for the conclusion that the entire sūrah was revealed in Medina.

This study examines the position of Imam Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) on the doctrine of monotheism (tawhid), by analyzing a profound rational narration attributed to him in response to a skeptic questioning the knowledge of God. The narration reveals the Imam’s method in affirming the existence of God by negating anthropomorphism and corporealism, clarifying that God is “a thing unlike all things,” known through His signs, not His essence. His attributes are not separate from His essence; rather, they are identical to it. The research focuses on refuting doubts related to embodiment and modality, showing how the Imam employed rational and demonstrative reasoning to articulate a pure and undistorted concept of divine unity. It further highlights the importance of this narration as a doctrinal source in confronting deviant theological trends, proving that the School of Ahl Al-Bayt—through Imam Al-Ridha—offered a comprehensive and balanced approach to the knowledge and oneness of God, harmonizing text and reason with depth and precision.

This research aims to analyze criminal policy in the thought of the martyred Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr by exploring his profound vision of the relationship between religion, law, and society, and demonstrating how Islamic principles can be employed to build a just criminal system that achieves a balance between deterrence and reform, and between individual rights and collective interests. The researcher relied on the descriptive-analytical and deductive approaches, by studying Sayyid al-Sadr's texts in his jurisprudential and intellectual writings, and analyzing them in light of modern legal and criminal concepts. The comparative approach was also used to link al-Sadr's thought with positive criminal policies, to clarify the distinctive aspects of the Islamic perspective based on the values of justice, equality, and social reform. The research reached important conclusions, most notably that Sayyid al-Sadr's thought represents a unique model for reformist criminal policy based on Islamic doctrine, as he made religious values the focus of legislation and social justice the goal of every legal system. It also demonstrated that al-Sadr viewed crime as a social phenomenon that could be curbed through education and reform before punishment, and that, in his view, the state was responsible for achieving the economic and social balance that prevents deviance and achieves security and stability. The research demonstrated that Al-Sadr's thought transcended the traditional concept of punishment, making it a means of rehabilitating the individual and integrating him into society, based on the principles of mercy and justice that constitute the essence of Islamic law.

This study examines the recitation and reading of the Qur'an among the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). It begins by explaining the sources of reading and recitation among the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). These are among the practices that God Almighty encouraged the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). We illustrate this through hadiths that point to the great reward of reciting Qur'anic verses from the Mushaf.
