Abstract:
The words of Imām al-Riḍā (peace be upon him) astonishingly merge with the Qur’an, making one feel their thematic unity, as he clarifies, explains, and guides people concerning matters of their daily lives and their spiritual perfections through interpreting the words of the Qur’an, the sayings of the Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), and the words of his pure descendants. His speech carried the peak of eloquence, the wonder of style, and the beauty of meaning. Therefore, the researcher went on to study this Qur’anic merging and uncover the system of exegetical thought and its actual features present in his heritage. The book (Kalimat al-Imām al-Riḍā) by Grand Ayatollah the Martyr Sayyid Ḥasan al-Ḥusayni al-Shīrāzī (may his secret be sanctified) was chosen, and it was found to contain extensive scholarly material and varied subjects.
The researcher sheds light on these exegetical features, introducing the topic with an entry titled “The Relationship of Imām al-Riḍā (peace be upon him) with the Qur’an,” then moving on to trace those exegetical features in the various topics of the book: “Theological Matters,” “Prophethood,” “Devotional Allegiance,” “Doctrines,” “Ethics,” “Acts of Worship,” and “Legal Rulings.”
After examining the Qur’anic centrality and focus, a number of conclusions became evident, among them: the indication of the depth of Imām al-Riḍā’s (peace be upon him) connection with the Holy Qur’an and his great concern for it; his life was with the Qur’an day and night, morning and evening—reflecting on its meanings and subtleties, uncovering its truths and delicacies, and other sciences of the Holy Qur’an.

Abstract:

Uban ibn Taghlib was one of the prominent figures of Islamic history and a source of pride for the school of the Followers (al-Tābiʿīn); for he took from the springs of Islam, drew from the secrets of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), adopted their morals, and was adorned with their creed. His character was strengthened by their lofty principles, carrying their sciences and knowledge, and walking upon their path in establishing truth and refuting falsehood. This had a great impact on his acquisition of sciences and knowledge, as he left a clear influence in various fields, including the religious sciences, which I addressed in this study titled: “Indications of the Narrations of Uban ibn Taghlib (d. 141 AH / 758 CE) in the Religious Sciences — An Analytical Study.” I divided it into three sections in which I demonstrated the indications of these narrations that contributed to strengthening the social structure of the Islamic nation.

Abstract:
The prophetic establishment of the epistemological interconnection between the holy Qur’an and the purified progeny in general, and the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in particular, and the determination of his interpretive authority over the text through the mutual ma‘iyya (togetherness) between the Qur’an and Imam ‘Ali (peace be upon him), illuminated the epistemic path for understanding and interpreting the text and identified the locus of methodological engagement.
The rich Qur’anic heritage of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) contained integrated epistemological systems across various intellectual fields the ethical and educational, the economic and social and included what pertains to clarifying the epistemological premises necessary for interpreting and understanding the Qur’anic text in its doctrinal and practical dimensions, and for establishing a scientific methodology whose data must be adopted and whose outcomes must be adhered to, so that textual elicitation aligns with the intent of the Author of the text (Glorified and Exalted).

Hence, this study comes to analyze within its capacity the words of the “Speaking Qur’an” (peace be upon him), eliciting from them the recognition of that epistemological impact and adopting it as a foundational starting point in the pursuit of a reliable understanding of the Qur’anic text, relying therein on the attributes with which the Commander (peace be upon him) described the holy Qur’an attributes that warrant careful consideration through an analytical vision, to adopt them as essential premises by which the text may be understood.

Abstract:
This research studies a set of structures from the al-Ziyārah al-Jāmi‘ah al-Kabīrah attributed to Imam al-Hādī (peace be upon him), one of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) who are the interpreters of the Qur’an, in an attempt to highlight the Qur’anic influence in its Holy texts. And since the chain of transmission of this ziyārah is recurrently reported from the Imam (peace be upon him), the researcher relied on its text to identify the Qur’anic meanings of some of the verses included within it, clarify their referents, and determine what is intended by them.
He found that the Imam (peace be upon him) translated the Holy Qur’anic texts into rhetorical and supplicatory passages through which the servant turns to God, Blessed and Exalted, and which clarify the status of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), their knowledge of the Qur’an, their closeness to God, their superiority over all creation, and that they are among God’s chosen servants who devoted themselves sincerely to His worship. Consequently, God granted them, as a reward for that sincerity, that they be the gates of His mercy and His paradise.

Abstract:
The exegetical method represents the approach that the exegete adopts in presenting his interpretation in light of the methodology he follows. Exegesis may be sequential, or it may be thematic. It may rely on explanation and clarification, or it may delve deeply into identifying the referents. It may go further by investigating the inner layers of the Qur’an, and it may combine these approaches all of which can be observed in the exegetical narrations transmitted from Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The methods of the Infallibles (peace be upon them) varied for the purpose of clarifying Qur’anic concepts and their referents. This constitutes a complementary role to the holy Qur’an and represents one of the manifestations of the epistemic interconnection between the Qur’an and the ʿitrah, serving as one of their references in dealing with the Qur’an.
Another goal is to draw a path for anyone who seeks to interpret the Holy Qur’an, for no one knows the Qur’an in its true reality except the one addressed by it both theoretically and practically.

From here came the research titled “Thematic Exegesis According to Imam ʿAli (peace be upon him)”, to establish one of the exegetical methods in light of what has been transmitted from Imam ʿAli (peace be upon him) in narrations, whether at the level of theoretical formulation or practical application through interpreting some Qur’anic verses. This aims to reveal an approach considered among the most important exegetical methods through which one can reach an understanding of the Qur’anic perspective regarding a specific topic.

Abstract:
The knowledge of the prophecies of the prophets depended on the principle of presenting clear proofs through miracles. The holy Qur’an was the eternal miracle that confirmed the final prophethood. Faith in it was realized accordingly, and they believed in the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) regarding what he commanded and forbade. Among his most important commands was his advice to adhere to the Thaqalayn (the two weighty matters). From this, the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) paid attention to the study of Qur’anic miracles, because affirming the miraculous nature of the Qur’an necessarily leads to belief in the Prophet and faith in him and in the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) presented the manifestations of Qur’anic miracles in his sermons as one of the terms of the religious sciences of that time, in addition to their expression within the sciences of the Qur’an. This research attempts to examine his words (peace be upon him), based on a unique divine epistemological system exclusive to him, as the gate to God’s knowledge, the speaking Qur’an, and one of the firmest in knowledge and among the foremost pioneers of divine knowledge connecting heaven and earth. The research analyzes what relates to the scientific miracles of the Qur’an through two specifications: the first addresses the theoretical concepts of the epistemological system of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and the second addresses the topic of Qur’anic miracles and the reading of scientific foundations in uncovering the Qur’anic miracle, in order to highlight a small portion of his unique epistemological contributions that preceded contemporary science.

Abstract:
This study highlights the unique care that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) devoted to the interpretation of the holy Qur’an. Recurrent narrations indicate that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) did not leave the Book of God without interpretation and explanation; rather, he interpreted it himself and then entrusted its ta’wil to his Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Imam ‘Ali (peace be upon him) repeatedly emphasized that he is foremost in the interpretation of the Qur’an over others, and the rest of the Imams from his lineage (peace be upon them) confirmed this hereditary exegetical privilege, pointing out that the Qur’anic interpretation is not to be based on conjecture, but by those firm in knowledge, whom God has purified from impurity.
The study revealed, through precise comparison between the sources of the two schools, that the Companions were not known for methodical engagement with Qur’anic interpretation in the true and systematic manner found with the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), who were a continuous school of ta’wil, transmitting knowledge from generation to generation. This means that the exegetical care of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) was not a personal effort; rather, it is an extension of a divinely guided revelation and a direct spiritual connection with the divine meaning of the text, which distinguishes their interpretation from all subsequent human scholarly efforts.

Abstract:
The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) left us a rich scientific heritage, especially in the Qur’anic sciences, in the form of transmitted exegetical narrations. However, this heritage still requires the discovery of its features, and among the windows through which this vast heritage can be explored is its classification in an artistic manner. These transmitted exegetical narrations require classification suitable to the exegetical task, i.e., viewing the narrations attributed to him through the lens of the science of exegesis and ensuring the exegetical objectives. Furthermore, a considerable portion of the Qur’anic role of Imam the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is not expressed in the form of transmitted exegetical narrations, and it is clear that excluding this recognized portion from the exegetical domain leads to an incomplete image of his impact in Qur’anic interpretation.

The present article addresses the following question: What is the exegetical impact of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him)? The methodology adopted in answering this question is the analytical and ijtihādī method common in the prevalent usūlī approach in our seminaries, encompassing sources of derivation, rules, standards, and tools of intuitive and devotional proof, with emphasis on careful and precise engagement with the transmitted narrational evidence from the Commander of the Faithful and the method of extracting the underlying Qur’anic meaning.

Abstract:
This modest effort examines the evidences that establish the doctrine of Imamate and form its foundations, considering them as texts of exalted origin—namely the Holy Qur’an, the noble Prophetic hadith, and Nahj al-Balāgha. These are discourses that all groups of Muslims have studied and interpreted according to their own beliefs rather than according to the creed that these texts themselves generate. Thus, the cycle of interpretation, explanation, and justification has revolved according to differing inclinations and tendencies some completely missing the mark, some taking a middle stance, and some drawing from pure, refreshing water. The medium that carried all of this is language, and therefore it is essential for specialists in this field to study these discourses or some of them through effective linguistic methodologies that contemplate the components of the discourse from its earliest written formation, then trace its indications and context to approach the intent of its producer, thereby correcting an understanding or supporting an interpretation within the boundaries of the adopted methodology and within the expressive capacity and suitability of language. All of this remains the ijtihād of a researcher who relied in his reading of certain texts that established the doctrine of Imamate on analytical mechanisms agreed upon in linguistic studies.

The intellectual framework has produced various methodologies and theories that cannot all be mentioned here, but the study focuses on the approaches most closely related to its concept and application from the field of discourse analysis, stopping at them to the extent necessary to achieve its aim and open the path for the reader to grasp its trajectory. These are: structural analysis, pragmatic analysis, and argumentative analysis. The study dedicates a section to each approach, consisting of two main topics—the first presenting structural analysis, and the second presenting pragmatic analysis, which also includes argumentative analysis. Both are followed by a conclusion and a list of sources.
