Abstract
This research sheds light on medical waste, how to treat it, and what are the environmental effects resulting from it in Diwaniya hospitals, as waste generation in hospitals is affected by its clinical capacity and the number of hospitalized patients and the hospital's specialization. It caused serious environmental pollution on human health. The research includes four researches. The first topic is concerned with studying the types and quantity of medical waste in Diwaniya hospitals, while the second topic is specialized in studying medical waste treatment methods in Diwaniya city hospitals. As for the third topic, it focused on studying the environmental effects resulting from medical waste In Al-Diwaniyah city hospitals, the fourth topic focused on highlighting the most important problems facing hospitals in treating medical waste. The study reached a set of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is not relying on old technologies to dispose of medical waste such as incinerators as they are harmful to the environment and human health and work to increase and equip Hospitals with devices (shredder) and repair of unemployed ones. Thanks Recalling the need to set up treatment units for liquid waste in all hospitals and work to rehabilitate the discontinued treatment units, in order to ensure that no pollution occurs in water sources. And obligate the company equipped with non-stop (shredder) devices to work, provide an alternative device, repair faults, and equip hospitals with bags designated for sorting Waste according to color and allocate containers for this.
Abstract
يسلط هذا البحث الضوء على النفايات الطبية وكيفية معالجتها وماهي الاثار البيئية الناتجة عنها في مستشفيات مدينة الديوانية ، اذ تتأثر عملية تولد النفايات في المستشفيات بحسب سعتها السريرية وعدد المرضى الراقدين وتخصص المستشفى ، وقد وضح البحث الطرق غير الصحيحة المتبعة في جمع وخزن النفايات ومعالجتها بأستخدام المحارق التي تسبب تلوث بيئي خطير على صحة الانسان ويشتمل البحث على اربعة مباحث اهتم المبحث الاول بدراسة انواع النفايات الطبية وكميتها في مستشفيات مدينة الديوانية في حين اختص المبحث الثاني بدراسة طرق معالجة النفايات الطبية في مستشفيات مدينة الديوانية اما المبحث الثالث ركز على دراسة الاثار البيئية الناتجة عن النفايات الطبية في مستشفيات مدينة الديوانية واهتم المبحث الرابع بتسليط الضوء على اهم المشاكل التي تواجه المستشفيات في معالجة النفايات الطبية ، وقد توصلت الدراسة الى مجموعة من الاستنتاجات والتوصيات والتي اهمها عدم الاعتماد على التقنيات القديمة للتخلص من المخلفات الطبية مثل المحارق كونها مضرة بالبيئة وصحة الانسان والعمل على زيادة وتجهيز المستشفيات بأجهزة (shredder ) واصلاح العاطل منها .فضلاً عن ضرورة نصب وحدات معالجة للمخلفات السائلة في جميع المستشفيات والعمل على اعادة تأهيل وحدات المعالجة المتوقفة ، وذلك لضمان عدم حدوث تلوث في المصادر المائية .والزام الشركة المجهزة على عدم توقف اجهزة (shredder ) عن العمل وتوفير جهاز بديل واصلاح الاعطال وتجهيز المستشفيات بالأكياس المخصصة لفرز النفايات حسب اللون وتخصيص حاويات لهذا الغرض .
