Laboratory experiments were conducted to determine the effec-tiveness of plant extracts of vitex and rosemary in red rust flour bee-tle Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) control. Results showed a signifi-cant effect of extracts oncentrations in the percentage of larval stage mortality . concentration of 5%, caused the highest mortality rates in the larval stage reached to 71.11, 76.66, 83.33 % insects / plate after 24, 48 and 72 hours, respectively. The mortality rates were equal for both concentrations 2.5 and 5%, which amounted to 90 % after 72 hours. Vitex plant extarct was significantly superior to the rosemary plant Rosmarinus officinalis in the mortality rates for all concentrations and periods post application in this study.

The research was conducted in a Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Agricultural Research Department, Ministry of Science and Technol-ogy, from December 10/1/2019 to December 30/1/2021, to study the effect of adding auxin NAA at concentrations (1, 2, and 3) mg L-1, and interaction with Chitosan at concentrations (10, 15, 20 and 25) mg L-1, to the culture media MS, to determine the optimal concentra-tion in rooting the branches resulting from the multiplication of mi-cro branches of the Kumquat plants (Citrus japonica), produced from in vivo development of the stem nodes. The results of the study showed that the planting of Kumquat branches in MS media supple-mented with 2.0 mg L-1 NAA was a high significant response on rooting percentage (92.0%) and roots number (3.20 plant root-1), add-ed 15 mg L-1 chitosan to the culture media prepared with 2.0 mg L-1 NAA was a significantly increased in same parameters (rooting per-centage 80% and roots number 5.60).

The study was conducted to choose the best way to store the fil-lets of common carp fish. Samples were divided into five treat-ments (T1 control treatment), (T2 glazing with saline solution 2%), (T3 glazing with acid solution 2%), (T4 coating with fish ex-tracted Gelatin), (T5 normal polyethylene- packaging). These five groups (treat-ments) have been stored in freezing conditions at four periods 2,4,6,8 weeks respectively. The qualitative and sensory properties of fish fillets were studied and the best results was belonging to T4 (gelatin coating treatment). The study included the process of gela-tin extraction from fish waste as well.
