Abstract The study aimed to compared the effect of camphor ,glycin and prepared chemical base on the liver enzymes and blood proteins values .32malesand females of wister albino rats were used in the present study . randomly divided into 4 groups(n=8) . the control group was given olive oil only,3 experimental groups injected daily intraperitoneal injection of (75 mg/kg)from (glycin ,camphorand Schiff base )solutied in olive oil . All groups were kept in the same environmental conditions.At the end of 4 weeks all rats were killed and collected the blood serum for analysis .the glycin group significantly decreased in liver enzyme levels (AST,ALT,ALP)but significantly increased in blood proteins parameters levels(TP,GLU,ALB) compared with control group.study showed significance increased in both liver enzymes and blood protiens levels in groups which treated with (camphor & Schiff base )compared with the control group.The present study showed that used camphor and the new Schiff base haved the same effected on the liver enzymes and blood protiens.

AbstractIn this work we prepare, characterize and evaluatefloating microspheres of Clarithromycinby ionicgelation method with an aim of increasing the gastric residence time and for controlledrelease.Gelatin, polymeric mixture of gelatin and Hydroxy ethyl cellulose (HEC) were used aspolymers. Sodium bicarbonate was used as the gas-forming agent. The production microsphereswere characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC), and photomicrographs microscopy. The prepared floating microspheresevaluated by particles size distribution, floating behavior, drug content, entrapment efficency,morphology and in vitro release werestudied.The micros pheres diameters range322.49μm-584.64μm.The results the release rate decrease with increaseing coeting material concentration. Thefloating microspheres followed zero order kinetics and drug mechanisam releasedtoPeppas model.The microspheres exponential coefficient values between 0.559 and 0.911 that indicatied to nonfickian diffusion controlled release mechanism.

AbstractThe impact of annealing temperature on the electrical properties of Sbthin films, theSb films weredeposited on glass substrates at room temperature thermal evaporation technique with thickness (0.5μm), all samples are annealed in a vacuum for one hour. Abstract:The digenetic trematode Clinostomum complanatum is naturally parasitizes the throat andesophagus of piscivorous birds, used aquatic snail and fishes (rarely frogs and toads) as first and thesecond intermediate hosts respectively.The aim of this study was to investigate the possibility of infection of fresh water snail Lymnaeaauricularia with miracidium of Clinostomum because lacking the study on the life cycle of thisparasite in Iraq.Snails were collected from vegetation and debris in shallow water of Euphrates river and identifiedas Lymnaea auricularia, their eggs were isolated for production of new generation which used forthe infection with Clinostomum miracidium.Eggs of mature trematodes Clinostomum complanatum were isolated from the buccal cavity andesophagus of Bubulicus ibis and hatched to miracidium after 21 days of incubation, The fresh watersnails Lymnaea auricularia were experimentally infected with miracidium of C. complanatum. Themiracidium were ciliated with eye spot in the anterior third of body, the infected snails with thesemiracidium released cercariae after 30 days post infection. The cercariae of C. complanatum werefork tailed with two eye spots in the anterior part of middle third of the body.

AbstractThis paper was aimed to investigate the association between the ABO blood groups and H.pylori infection and to determine how much endoscopic findings are predict for the presence ofactive H. pylori infection. One hundred and twenty dyspeptic patients (as diagnosed by endoscopyand confirmed by histopathology) and sixty apparently healthy individuals were enrolled in thisstudy. All subjects were underwent ABO blood grouping and Rhesus (Rh) systems determination.The results reveals higher frequency present of blood type O and the lowest frequency present ofblood types A and AB among H. pylori patients compared to positive control group. The endoscopicfindings showed low sensitivity in the diagnosis of H. pylori associated gastritis. In conclusion, thereare considerable positive relationship between H. pylori infection and blood type O.

AbstractThe present study was conducted to determine the effect of a drug pentostam on laboratory animalsinfected with diabetes and Leishmania donovani, it is done through the use of criteria blood andtissue sections of the liver and spleen and the comparison group of negative control, mice treatedgroup showed the drug and substance alloxan and infected parasite that there was no significantdifference (p < 0.05) in the total number of red blood cells and a significant decrease (p < 0.05) inthe neutrophil and acidophilus and lymphocytes and recorded a significant decrease (p < 0.05), whilelymphocytes showed moral high (p < 0.05) in the total number of cells, white blood while onlymonocyte and basophil did not record any significant differences (p < 0.05) for all groups as well ashistological sections of the liver and a clear expansion in the Hepatic sinusoids with themultiplication of Cofer cells and infiltration clear of inflammatory cells of the type Eosinophil andPhagocyte showed Lama's spleen observed the amyloid gathered around the white pulp with amultiplication of red pulp with the disappearance septa within the lymphoid tissue and the presenceof giant cell nucleus and the exhaustion of a clear white pulp.

Chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) is a plant contains number of medicinally important compoundssuch as inulin,esculin, volatile compounds , coumarins, flavonoids and vitamins. In the present study,antifungal activity of the root extracts of chicory against pathogenic fungi (Dermatophytes) likeTricophytone tonsurans, Tricophytone verruscosum and Microsporum canis by in vitro agar welldiffusion method was don at two different concentration (100mg/ml ,200mg/ml) The aqueous rootextracts of chicory showed inhibition effect on dermatophytes . Root extracts showed moreinhibitory action on T. verrucosum with diameter of inhibition zone 3.50 cm while less inhibitionzone appeared for M.canis 1.25cm .There observed significant (p>0.05) effects of concentration of root extract on fungal growth andthere was significant differences (p>0.05) between fungal species in response to root extract

In several cases, it is important, or even necessary, for a device in the wireless sensor network to beaware of its location in the network. For example, the event detection process loses its importance ifthe wireless sensor network cannot provide any information about where the event occurred.However, site information cannot be manually configured on each device during deployment. It isalso futile to place the future of the Global Positioning System (GPS) at each node, due to physicaland publishing limitations (e.g. GPS does not work within the structure) and other limitations relatedto the power of the device. In this paper we proposed new methodologytodetermine the location ofnodes by using Genetic Algorithms(GA).GA consider an important technique in the search for thebest choice of a set of solutions available for a particular design. Through the results obtained usingthe proposed algorithm, this method can be considered more reliable and cost effective thantraditional methods.

AbstractThe aim of the present study was to detect the prevalence rate of IgG-antibodies specific for M.tuberculosis in dogs by application of indirect ELISA and confirming the infection in seropositivesamples by using a molecular test (PCR). For this purpose, 178 stray dogs were selected randomlyfrom some regions of Al-Qadisiyyah governorate / Iraq, for blood samples collection. The totalprevalence rate of seropositive was 11 (6.18 %) that subjected for culture, and the suspected sampleswere tested by PCR technique that revealed on 6 (3.37 %) positive samples. Also, the relationships,between the positive infections with sex and age factors, had been studied. The study revealed thatthe infection ratio in males and females was 5.41 % and 6.38 % serologically, and 2.7 % and 3.55 %molecularly, respectively. The proposed system improvesdata clustering algorithms by construct required fuzzy clusters. The proposed system showed a goodresult compared with clustering techniques in comparing with other clustering techniques in timeefficiency.

AbstractThis study has been designed to investigate the role of the (CD28IVS3+17C/T , CTLA-4+49A/G ) genes Polymorphisms and the extent to which they contribution in thyroid autoimmunedisorders at Thi- Qar Province. The current study included 240 people and who were among thethree groups by 80 people in each group. The first group (patients with hyperthyroidism ), thesecond group (patients with hypothyroidism) and third group are (healthy group) with no infectionof any disease of the thyroid gland . DNA was extracted from the two groups of patients and thehealthy group and then amplified genes (CD28, CTLA-4) using PCR technique. The RFLPtechnique used to detect the CD28IVS3+17C/T , CTLA-4+49A/G genes Polymorphisms . Theresults of the present study showed that there was no association between gene Polymorphisms(CD28 + IVS3 17T) and thyroid autoimmune disorders.On the other hand, the results of the study showed a correlation between the CTLA-4+49A/Ggene Polymorphisms and autoimmune disorders of the thyroid gland in patients compared to thehealthy group. The risk of hyperthyroidism is two time at the heterozygous (A/G ) in patientscompared to the healthy group ( OR=2.09;95% CI=0.946 – 4.624) , and four time at the homozygous(G/G ) in patients compared to the healthy group ( OR=4.11;95% CI=1.888 – 8.8.951). The risk ofhypothyroidism was one and a half time at the heterozygous (A/G ) in patients compared to thehealthy group ( OR=1.52;95% CI=0.701 – 3.329), and It is three times the presence of theheterozygous (G / G) in patients compared to the healthy group( OR=3.03;95% CI=1.415 – 6.456).

Toxoplasma gondiiis an intracellular protozoa, widespread throughout the world, and it has theability to infect many organs in the body such as the brain, eyes, liver and spleen.In this study, 56rats(28 males and 28 females) were divided into two groups, the first group28 rats(14 male and 14female) was inoculated with normal saline to serve as control,and the second group 28 rats(14 maleand 14 female)was infected intraperitonealy with placental fluid containing1×107tachyzoites ofToxoplasma gondii. After 2 months of infection, the infection was confirmed by using real-timePCR, and the animals were scarified. Brain, liver and spleen tissues were fixed in 10% formalin forhistological examination.The results indicated that the parasite invaded many tissues and causedmany histopathological changes. The parasite (tissue cyst stage containing bradyzoite and tachyzoitestage) were recorded in the braintissues of both males and females.The brain tissues also revealedmany histological changes included inflammatory manifestations and a wide areas of edema. Thegroups of laboratory rats which infected with T. gondii showed several histological changes in theliver tissue, included congestion of the central vein, expansion of the jaundice and accumulation ofthe inflammatory cells in several sites of the liver. The spleen of infected group showed hemorrhage,extra-medullary mega karyocytosis, necrosis, fibrosis and degeneration of spleen tissues.

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, comprising 23%of the 1.1 million female cancers that newly diagnosed each year.Aims: Investigate the existence of microsatellite instability (MSI) in breast cancer of patients.Settings and Design: Fifty female patients with invasive ductal breast carcinoma (IDC) collected.Inclusion criteria of subjects include female patients with diagnostic feature of breast cancer and agerange 26-42 years old untreated with chemotherapy or hormonal therapy.Methods and Material: DNA had be extracted from frozen tissue samples of breast cancer. Thisprotocol done according to the kit manufacture’s manual of QIAamp DNA Mini kit from Qiagen –USA. All samples tested for MSI bysingleplex PCR reactions using two microsatellite markers BAT25 and BAT 26.PCR achieved in a final volume of 50 μl and after thermal cycles, gel visualizationperformed.Statistical analysis used: The significance of differences in proportions was analysed by the Fisher’sexact testwith SPSS version 20 and P values equal or less than 0.001 considered statisticallysignificant.Results: PCR demonstrating microsatellite instability in 13 (26%) of the 50 breast cancer sample.Eight (16%) of 50 breast cancer sample were BAT 25 positive with a PCR product size of 124 bp,while 5 (10%) of 50 breast cancer sample were BAT 26 positive with a PCR product size 121bp.Conclusions: The result suggest strong evidence that microsatellite instability (MSI) at the BAT 25and BAT 26 and have involved in the pathogenesis of the great majority of breast cancers.

AbstractThe present study was designed to investigate the effect of aqueous extract of rosemary onsome organs such as kidney and liver of diabetic rats . Twenty eight adult male albino rats wereequally divided into four groups ; the first group gulped with distilled water which consider as thecontrol group .The second group administered the aqueous extract of rosemary , The third groupexperimentally diabetic by alloxan that induced many histological changes in the kidney and liverwhile the fourth group diabetic and treated with aqueous extract of rosemary .Histological changes were observed in kidney which included contraction of glomeruli ,enlargement of space Bowman's capsule , degeneration and necrosis of renal tubules , haemorrhage ,absence of glomeruli , aggregation inflammatory cells , degenerative and necrosis of glomeruli , thenthe histological changes was advanced to arrival to death of glomerulus , perfect closed to canal ofrenal tubules , hyperplasia and venous congestion . Diabetic caused in liver some histologicalchanges as aggregation inflammatory cells , edema in central vein , necrosis , degeneration ofhepatocytes, haemorrhage , enlargement of sinusoids , congestion of the central portal vein ,vacuolation of hepatocytes and fibrosis .Histopathological examination of the rat's organs confirmed this amelioration of healthshowing that using of aqueous extract of rosemary can reduce pathological changes in kidney andliver . This study clearly demonstrated that administration of aqueous extract of rosemary alleviatesthe harmful effects of diabetic induced kidney and liver damages .

stractWe investigate the effect of urban and the surrounding desert areas from the west and northern westside on the temperature of the city, and to find out the difference between them for both maximumtemperatures and minimum. It was based on the data of the Iraqi Meteorological Organization, andSeismology for both Al Hussein Station and Basra Airport station for the period from 1990 to 2012.The result was that the difference average in the maximum temperature between the two stationsvery low and did not exceed 0.3 oC. In some months, the maximum temperature of Al HusseinStation was higher than the maximum temperature of airport station. The difference average intemperature extremes was clear as it exceeded 3oC in July and October.

Possiblenonlinear optical characteristics in Linseed,Rose and Chamomile oils are investigated. Largethermal-induced third order nonlinear refractive index,n2,(10-7- 10-6)cm2/W has been obtained inrose and chamomile oilsat532 nm continuous wave (cw) laser radiation. Number of rings as well asthe diameter of the outer most ring in each ring pattern is found to increased monotonically withincreasing input power.Diffraction ring pattern resulted in Linseed oil by the simultaneous irradiationof the green andbluelight beamsat 532 nmand 473 nm respectively.

AbstractMercury compounds have been known as one of most heavy metals which cause adverse effect forboth human and animal. Nevertheless, several studies have been documented poison effect ofmercury in different aspects, but so far there are few reports related histopathlogical changes are notenough clear according dose-dependent. Therefore, our study focused on histopathlogicalexamination of kidney and lung tissues which were treated with two different dose of mercuricchloride to elucidate level of toxicity. Thirty male mice have been equally divided in to three groups.First group was treated with distilled water as control and other two groups were given two differentdoses of mercuric chloride; 1mgk.g and 4 mgk.g respectively. All animals have been administratedby intra-peritoneal injection for 60 consecutive days. At the end of experimental; all mice weresacrificed and eviscerated the target organs (kidney and lung) to prepare for histological processingsteps. Histopathlogical results have revealed that severity of low dose mercuric chlorideadministration was minor effect than high dose given in both kidney and lung. That was showingmoderate renal structures damages and pulmonary parenchyma destruction. Consequently, theseresults indicated that toxic activity of mercuric chloride was according to dose-dependent.Subsequently, the moderate damages have been occurred in renal and lung tissues due to long termexposure.
