We addressed the necessity of introducing new educational and teaching methods other than traditional methods so that they do not depend entirely on the teacher only in the method of obtaining knowledge, but we must give the student the opportunity to learn by himself instead of relying on the teacher, and the cooperative method in teaching provides opportunities for cooperation and synergy between members of the same group in achieving skills that lead to active interaction between members of the group "which affects the effectiveness of learning motor skills and the importance of the research lies in introducing this method to teach the skill of sending in volleyball and contributes to enhancing teamwork and facilitates reaching the required level of development for students, and the aim of the research was to identify the effect of using the cooperative education method in developing the level of performance for the skill of sending in volleyball. The researchers imposed teaching using the cooperative method with a positive effect in developing the level of performance for the skill of sending in volleyball. The research was experimental on (24) students from the second stage at the University of Basra for the academic year (2006-2007) and the results were processed using the law (T-test) and the results were presented, analyzed and discussed and they concluded that teaching using the cooperative education method contributed to developing the level of skill performance and recommended the necessity of following this method in teaching
