The study aims to demonstrate the relationship between light and moisture requirements in the cultivation and growth of fruit trees. It has been shown through the study that light has an important role in increasing photosynthesis processes, which leads to an increase in the size of trees and large fruits. The amount of light intensity determines the percentage of sugar and acidity in the fruits .Through its effect on the components involved in the process of photosynthesis, in addition to the fact that humidity affects the vegetative and fruitful growth of fruit trees, especially citrus and palm trees, as its decrease leads to the fall of the fruits before they ripen for all types of fruits.

تهدف الدراسة إلى بيان العلاقة بين متطلبات الضوء والرطوبة في زراعة ونمو أشجار الفاكهة، وقد تبين من خلال الدراسة أن للضوء دور مهم في زيادة عمليات البناء الضوئي مما يؤدي إلى زيادة حجم الأشجار والثمار الكبيرة، كما أن مقدار شدة الضوء يحدد نسبة السكر والحموضة في الثمار، من خلال تأثيره على المكونات الداخلة في عملية البناء الضوئي، بالإضافة إلى أن الرطوبة تؤثر على النمو الخضري والثمري لأشجار الفاكهة وخاصة الحمضيات والنخيل، حيث أن نقصانها يؤدي إلى تساقط الثمار قبل نضجها لجميع أنواع الفاكهة.

وتأتي الصفة لرفع الاشتراك اللفظي الذي يقع في المعرفة على سبيل الاتفاق، كما تجري في مجرى بيان المجموع، أو لاختزاله في النفيات، وقد تختفي القرائن، وتتعطل وظيفة السياق، فلا تفيد الصفة النص في رفع الاشتراك الذي يقع في الوصف، ولا تساعد المتلقي في تحديد الدلالة المطلوبة؛ لأنها قد تتردد في الرجوع إلى أكثر من واصف، فتتعدد المعاني وتتعدد الدلالات لكثرة الوصافات التي ترد إليها، وحيثما وجدت هذه الصفة غير المحددة كان هناك اختفاء.
وخلص البحث إلى أن الفصام ناجم عن أسباب متعددة، من أهمها:

إن حجب إحالة الصفة يرجع إلى وقوعها بعد صفتين توصف بهما،
وكثرة الإحالة إلى الصفة يرجع إلى كثرتها في الروايات المنسوبة إلى الصحابة،
والحجب يكون في رجوع الصفة إلى إحالة؛ وقد يرجع إلى تعدد القراءات.

The Sulaibate Depression is one of the important depressions located in the south of Iraq, specifically in the governorates of Muthanna and Dhi Qar, at a close distance from the course of the Euphrates River. Tectonically, the depression is located within the contact range between the stable pavement (the sedimentary plain) and the unstable pavement represented by the (Western Plateau). The region was affected by the tectonic movements that extended from the Tertiary eras until the Holocene of the Quaternary time, and the impact of these movements had a major role in the formation of the depression.

The document of Al-Jwahiri was mixed with an elevated art and a perfect well-formed language. He recorded history and participated in making history through subjective and objective methods. His poetry was imprinted in the imagination and thoughts of people.

It was Al-Jwahiri who called for solving the problems of Iraq which he suffered from till our time. Policy and struggle is what made his poetry a burning type of poetry and elevated his severe criticism and the political attitude is what made Al-Jwahiri an alienated loner wondering the countries of the world.

Abstract

The research study on the origins of tattooing, in its historical depth, revealed the emergence of this phenomenon in totemic religions. It was believed that the blood coming out during the engraving process makes the image of the totem blend spiritually and materially with its totem, so that it and the totem marked with it share the same characteristics.

- Tattoos are used for adornment purposes or to treat some tumors and pains, and they have to do with ideas of witchcraft, and tattoo marks help define a person and his affiliation to a particular sect or tribe.

A tattoo is drawing a specific shape that is engraved on a part of the skin of the human body with a needle prick and a dye of a certain color is sprayed on it, to interact with the blood oozing from the needle prick, leaving a permanent and unchanged effect on the skin. The tattoo engraved is part of the tattoo process and not the tattoo itself.

كشفت الدراسة البحثية حول أصول الوشم، بعمقها التاريخي، عن نشوء هذه الظاهرة في الديانات الطوطمية، حيث كان الاعتقاد السائد أن الدم الذي يخرج أثناء عملية النقش يجعل صورة الطوطم تمتزج روحياً ومادياً مع طوطمه، بحيث يشترك هو والطوطم الموسوم به في نفس الخصائص.

- يستخدم الوشم لأغراض الزينة أو لعلاج بعض الأورام والآلام، وله علاقة بأفكار السحر، كما تساعد علامات الوشم في تحديد الشخص وانتمائه إلى طائفة أو قبيلة معينة.

الوشم هو رسم شكل معين يتم نقشه على جزء من جلد جسم الإنسان بواسطة وخزة إبرة ورش صبغة بلون معين عليه، ليتفاعل مع الدم المتسرب من وخزة الإبرة، فيترك أثراً دائماً لا يتغير على الجلد، والوشم المنقوش هو جزء من عملية الوشم وليس الوشم نفسه.

Al-Diyaa magazine represented a state of intellectual openness regarding freedom of opinion and the other opinion during the period of its issuance from 1898 until its cessation in 1906, as intellectual and reformist trends emerged on its pages. A group of pioneers of the modern Arab renaissance movement worked on contributing to its writing and clarifying its contents, such as its owner, Ibrahim Al-Yazji, and Gerji. Relevance theory is a psychological model for understanding the cognitive interpretation of language, was developed by Dan Sperber and Deirdre Wilson in 1986 and republished in 1995. They argue that the thing that causes an input to stand out from others is its relevance to the receiver and that every utterance creates in the addressee an expectation of relevance. The underlying assumption of relevance theory is that in any given context, the addressee has to assume that what people say is relevant.

In this paper the problem of the cognitive principle of relevance theory presented by Sperber and Wilson is approached in its application to the posters painted by people who are opposing an American led war against Iraq. The analysis will be conducted to find out how these posters achieve a successful communication and how is that the audience recognizes that the designer of each poster has something to say that matters, something that is relevant and how the addressee understands the content of these posters and how he/she uses their cognition to interpret the posters’ contents and finds them relevant as they are apposing the war against Iraq.

نظرية الصلة هي نموذج نفسي لفهم التفسير المعرفي للغة، وقد طورها دان سبيربر وديردري ويلسون في عام 1986 وأعيد نشرها في عام 1995. ويزعمان أن الشيء الذي يجعل المدخلات تبرز عن غيرها هو أهميتها بالنسبة للمستقبل وأن كل لفظ يخلق لدى المتلقي توقعًا بالصلة. والافتراض الأساسي لنظرية الصلة هو أنه في أي سياق معين، يجب على المتلقي أن يفترض أن ما يقوله الناس ذو صلة.

في هذه الورقة يتم تناول مشكلة مبدأ نظرية الصلة المعرفية الذي قدمه سبيربر وويلسون في تطبيقه على الملصقات التي رسمها أشخاص يعارضون الحرب التي تقودها الولايات المتحدة ضد العراق. وسوف يتم إجراء التحليل لمعرفة كيف تحقق هذه الملصقات اتصالاً ناجحاً وكيف يدرك الجمهور أن مصمم كل ملصق لديه شيء مهم ليقوله، شيء ذو صلة وكيف يفهم المتلقي محتوى هذه الملصقات وكيف يستخدم إدراكه لتفسير محتويات الملصقات ويجدها ذات صلة لأنهم يعارضون الحرب ضد العراق.

Abstract

This paper deals with John Ashbery (1927 -), who is acknowledged as one of the \'\'greatest\'\' American living poets. Actually, his fanaticism towards \'\'art for art\'s sake\'\' leads him to distil his poetry from any social, religious or political issues. The present paper sheds light on the impact of painting on his poetry generally and on his masterpiece \"Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror\'\' in particular. It also focuses on how Ashbery follows the technique of Abstract Expressionism or The New York School whichAshberyforms its backbone. Like the Abstract Expressionist, Ashbery believes that the artist has the capacity to use art as a means to allow the unconscious mind to express itself. It can also be noticed that most of his works are nonobjective because they do not attempt to depict objects from the real world or portray figures from the visible world.

تتناول هذه الورقة البحثية جون آشبيري (1927-)، الذي يُعَد من أعظم الشعراء الأميركيين المعاصرين. والواقع أن تعصبه الشديد للفن من أجل الفن دفعه إلى استخلاص شعره من أي قضايا اجتماعية أو دينية أو سياسية. وتسلط هذه الورقة البحثية الضوء على تأثير الرسم على شعره بشكل عام وعلى رائعته \"صورة ذاتية في مرآة محدبة\" بشكل خاص. كما تركز على كيفية اتباع آشبيري لتقنية التعبيرية التجريدية أو مدرسة نيويورك التي يشكل آشبيري عمودها الفقري. ومثله كمثل التعبيرية التجريدية، يعتقد آشبيري أن الفنان لديه القدرة على استخدام الفن كوسيلة للسماح للعقل اللاواعي بالتعبير عن نفسه. ويمكن ملاحظة أن معظم أعماله غير موضوعية لأنها لا تحاول تصوير أشياء من العالم الحقيقي أو تصوير شخصيات من العالم المرئي.

Abstract

This study investigates a new category of word combination referred to as lexical bundles. Lexical bundles has been defined by Biber et. al. (1999) as " sequences of three or more words that show a statistical tendency to co-occur" (Ibid:183). The study aims at exploring the functions of lexical bundles in political speeches, finding out the types of bundles used in political speeches. The study adopts Biber (2006) model of classification to the analysis of lexical bundles in some British political speeches. The main finding of this study indicates that the referential function of lexical bundles has taken a priority over other types of functions in the political discourse.

تبحث هذه الدراسة في فئة جديدة من تركيبات الكلمات يشار إليها بالحزم المعجمية. وقد عرف بيبر وآخرون (1999) الحزم المعجمية بأنها "تسلسلات من ثلاث كلمات أو أكثر تظهر ميلًا إحصائيًا إلى الظهور معًا" (المصدر السابق: 183). تهدف الدراسة إلى استكشاف وظائف الحزم المعجمية في الخطب السياسية، ومعرفة أنواع الحزم المستخدمة في الخطب السياسية. تتبنى الدراسة نموذج بيبر (2006) للتصنيف لتحليل الحزم المعجمية في بعض الخطب السياسية البريطانية. تشير النتيجة الرئيسية لهذه الدراسة إلى أن الوظيفة المرجعية للحزم المعجمية قد أخذت الأولوية على أنواع أخرى من الوظائف في الخطاب السياسي.

Abstract

This paper deals with Caryl Churchill’s famous play, Top Girls (1982). The focus of this paper is directed towards Marlene, the protagonist of this play, and her surreal guests whom she invited to her dinner party. Discussing Marlene\'s success, her way of life, and her treatment to other women around her, this paper analyses Marlene as a character and how she can be compared to Thatcher, the British Prime Minister. The paper also discusses the stories of Marlene\'s guests and the way they consider themselves successful. The paper exhibits the success stories of these women and how they suffer to reach their success. Measuring the success and fame they reached, the paper explores how the success of these women can be regarded a failure for the feminist case as their success cannot be regarded as a landamark for success for other women nor other women should exactly follow their steps.

In addition to attracting customers is the use of technical words. Technical words help convince the reader that the product is of valuein addition to reflecting expertise that is considered the source of power.
