New Schiff base and their Mn(II),Co(II),Ni(II), Cu(II) and Hg(II) complexes formed by the condensation of O-phathaldehyde and ethylene diamine (2:1) to give ligand (L1) in the first step ,then the ligand (L1) with 2- aminophenol (1:2) to give ligand (L2) were prepared by classic addition through microwave method . These compounds (Ligands and complexes) have been diagnosed electronic spectra, FT-IR, 1H-&13C-NMR (only ligand), magnetic susceptibility, elemental microanalysis and molar conductance measurements. Analytical values displayed that all the complexes appeared (metal: ligand) (1:1) ratio with the six chelation. All the compounds appear a high activity versus four types of bacteria such as; (Escherichia coli), (Staphylococcus aureus),(Bacillus btilis), (Staphylococcus aureus) and (Pseudomonas aeruginosin).

Entomopathogenic fungi can be ideal for the biocontrol of cockroaches since it is environment-friendly microbial pesticide. Susceptibility of second and fourth instar of nymphs and adults of the brown banded cockroach, Supella longipalpa (F.) (Blattodea: Blattellidae) to the entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. at two concentrations 1x 107 and 1x 108 spore/ml was evaluated. Fungus was tested by using two different methods: bait and direct contact. Mortality was monitored after 3, 5 and 7 days’ post exposure. Direct contact of B. bassiana at concentration 1x 107 spore/ml produced mortality on adults 82.76% and for fourth and second instar of nymphs 82.76 and 93.10% after 7 days’ post treatment, respectively. When S. longipalpa was exposed to bait with B. bassiana the mortality percentage was 37.93% for the adults, and caused 64.29 and 58.62% mortality to the second and fourth instar of nymphs, after 7 days from treatment, respectively. Nymphs and adults of S. longipalpa treated by direct contact with B. bassiana at 1x 108 spore/ml, produced mortality on adults, fourth and second instar of nymphs 78.57, 93.10 and100% after 7 days’ post treatment, respectively. Method of bait the mortality for adults, fourth and second instar of nymphs were 51.72, 72.41 and 78.57% after 7 days’ post treatment, respectively. Results showed differences in susceptibility between nymphs and adults of S. longipalpa. Adult and nymph instars (fourth and second) mortalities due to direct contact by B. bassiana suspension (1x 107 and 1x 108 spore/ml) produce high mortalities (53.51, 93.10, 82.76% and 78.57, 100, 93.10%) respectively

The present study included experimental effect of Metronidazole drug and Alcoholic extract of Nigella sativa seeds on T. vaginalis that cultivated on i T i Results showed that the numbers of parasite began increasing during a period after 24-48 hrs then began decreasing after 72-96 hrs, so that 72 hrs from growth considered logarithmic phase of T. vaginalis growth. Present results showed poisonous effect of N. sativa alcoholic extract that was prepared in laboratory and imported at concentrations (450, 550, 650 and 750) mg/ml on T. vaginalis by observing gradual decrease of trophozoite numbers with concentrate increase of extracts during growth periods (24, 48, 72 and 96) hrs.
Different concentrations of Metronidazole were used as chemical therapy and control model, the results of the drug effects were followed-up daily, where current results showed (after 24 hours of concentration added) a high reduction in number and activity of the parasites at all concentrations of the drug were , p ci lly 150 200 μg/ l, th parasites disappeared completely after 96 hours, also the inhibitory concentration50 (IC50) of the parasit w 100 μg/ l ( ft r 48 h r incubation).
The inhibitory effect of N. sativa alcoholic extract on the number and activity of T. vaginalis parasite was noted that the concentrations (450 and 550 mg/ml) were approximated in their effect on parasite growth, while the concentrations 650 and 750 mg/ml were the best in their inhibitory activity for parasite growth after 96 hours of addition. The concentration that causes 50% of death inculture (IC50) was 550 mg/ml (after 72 hours of concentration addition).

This study was designed to show, the role of Carthamus tinctorius safflower aqueous extract against toxicity of nickel chloride (NiCl2). Twenty male, rabbits were used and divided into four groups (with 5 rabbits in each group); group (control group) received normal diet, group II received orally 100mg/kg NiCl2 for six weeks, group III received 100mg/kg NiCl2 and 100mg/kg extract six weeks, group IV received 100mg/kg NiCl2 and 200mg/ kg extract six weeks. Hematological parameters showed (RBC (Red blood cells), Hb (Hemoglobin), PCV (Packed cells volume) decreased and WBC (White blood cells) increased) significant changes (P < 0.05) compared with control group. Immunological parameters (IgG, IgA and IgM increased) and oxidative stress factors (MDA increased and GSH decreased) show significant changes (P < 0.05) compared with control group. While, safflower aqueous adverse the negative effects of NiCl2 and causing ameliorative effects on all hematological parameters, hematological immunological parameters and oxidative stress factors showed no significant changes (P < 0.05) compared with control group. It was concluded that flower extract of Carthamus tinctorius has been antioxidant role against nickel chloride toxicity in rabbits.

X-rays fluorescence technology was used to measure the concentrations of trace and toxic elements in tobacco smoke. One sample local and eight samples were imported selected from Iraqi markets. The results proved that tobaccos contain few concentrations of element (calcium, potassium, sodium, manganese, magnesium, chlorine, and sulfur), trace concentrations of element (aluminum, vanadium, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper and zinc), and toxic concentrations of element (arsenic, selenium, bromine, antimony, cadmium, mercury and lead). Results are proved the concentrations of elements of samples are lower levels with the other countries in few element like (calcium, potassium, sodium and manganese), while the other elements were highest than the other countries.

In the current study, we investigate the effect of (La) substitution instead of (Cu) on the properties of the superconductor compound (Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3-xLaxO10+δ) with (x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2). The samples were prepared by solid state reaction method(SSR). X-ray diffraction technique (XRD) was used to estimate the structural properties of the specimens which show an orthorhombic crystalline structure for all the specimens.
The results show that the change in ( La) concentration leads to decrease the concentration of (Bi-2223), increment in (Bi-2212 ) and(Bi-2201) with appearance of some impurities. Also decrease the critical temperature(Tc) with the increase of ( La) concentration.

New chlropheniramine maleate (CPM) selective electrochemical membranes were prepared by using chlropheniramine maleate -molecularly imprinted polymers. MIP was prepared by bulk polymerization using 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (2-HEMA) as monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a cross-linker and a benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as an initiator at 600C. Three CPM-MIP electrodes were constructed by using tri-tolyl Phosphate (ToCP), tris (2- ethyl hexyl) Phosphate (TEHP) and tributyl Phosphate (TBP) as plasticizers in PVC matrix.Electrode parameters including slopes, working concentrations ph. The interference effect in the presence of (Na+, Mg+2, Al+3, Glycine, Alanine, Arginine and Phenylalanine) was studied using the separated and mixed methods to determine the selectivity coefficient determination. NIP prepared by using the same composition of MIP molecularly imprinted polymer electrodes except the template (CPM). The slopes of CMP-MIP are 21.00, 21.50 and 19.08 mV/ decade, linearity range for the electrodes around. (10-5 -10-1) M, the stable at a pH range from 4.0 to 8.5 and lifetime ranged from 30 to 10 days. The suggested electrodes were successfully applied for the determine of CPM in some pharmaceutical preparations, which were given acceptable accuracy.

New chalcones of -{ - - - y - - hi di z e- -y he y - - e e- - e- - - substituted phenyl have been prepared from condensation of a new of 4-[5-(4`-tolyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-yl] benzaldehyde (which is synthesized by the reaction of 2- amino-5- (4`-tolyl) -1,3,4-thiadiazole and benzaldehyde) with 3- or 4- substituted acetophenones in alkaline medium. The physical, CHNS analysis and spectral data of the synthesized compounds were determined. The biological activity evaluated of new compounds showed that many of these compounds possess antibacterial activity.

The reaction of LAs-Cl8 : [ (2,2- (1-(3,4-bis(carboxylicdichloromethoxy)-5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-2-yl)ethane – 1,2-diyl)bis(2,2-dichloroacetic acid)]with sodium azide in ethanol with drops of distilled water has been investigated . The new product L-AZ :(3Z ,5Z,8Z)-2-azido-8-[azido(3Z,5Z)-2-azido-2,6-bis(azidocarbonyl)-8,9-dihydro-2H-1,7-dioxa-3,4,5-triazonine-9-yl]methyl]-9-[(1-azido-1-hydroxy)methyl]-2H-1,7-dioxa-3,4,5-triazonine – 2,6 – dicarbonylazide was isolated and characterized by elemental analysis (C.H.N) , 1H-NMR , Mass spectrum and Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) . The reaction of the L-AZ withM+n: [ ( VO(II) , Cr(III) ,Mn(II) , Co(II) , Ni(II) , Cu(II) , Zn(II) , Cd(II) and Hg(II)] has been investigated and was isolated and characterized by FT- IR , UV-Visible ,electrical conductivity, magnetic susceptibilities at 22 Co . Atomic absorption and molar ratio Spectroscopic evidence showed that the binding of metal ions were through the azide(μ-1,1-N3) Triazonine(3,5 –N3) and carboxyl moieties , resulting in a six – coordinating metal ions (Cr(III),Mn(II),Co(II),Ni(II) and Cu(II) ) .The VO(II) , Zn(II) ,Cd(II), andHg(II) were coordinated through azido (μ-1,1-N3) , triazonine(3,5-N3) only forming square pyramidal for VO(II) and tetrahedral geometry for Zn(II) , Cd(II) ,and Hg(II)β, ́ for Ni(II) , Cr(III) complexes were calculated too . The molar ratio and metal estimation showed , the ratio of L-AZ to metal ions was (10:1) ; (M/L)

The complexes of Pd+2 ion with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-dieıhyl aminophenol (BPADAP) were studied kinetically and spectrophotometrically in aqueous ethanolic solutions. The reagent forms 1:1, 2:1 square planer and 1:1 bridged shape binuclear complexes with Pd+2 ion. All these complexes (violet colour) absorb light in the same region at 540, 575 and 618nm. The band at 618 nm seems to be specific for complexes of Pd+2ion with BPADAP.
The rate constants of the growth in 93% H2O + 7% ethanol of 1:1 and 2:1 complexes at 575 and 618 nm were followed the first order kinetics and are quite of the same values , 0.495 and 0.463 min- 1 respectively. The rate constants of the decay of 2:1 complex at 618 and 575 nm were followed the first order kinetics; their values are 0.075 and 0.065 min-1 respectively which are slower than the rate of the decay of 1:1 complex. Whereas, the rate constants of the growth and decay of 1:1 bridged binuclear complex also followed the first order kinetics but they are much slower than those of 1:1 and 2:1 complexes: the values of the growth are 025min-1at 575 nm , and 0.16 min-1 at 618 nm. And the values of the decay are 0.0476 min-1 at 575 nm and 0.008min-1 at 61 8 nm.
It was found that BPADAP can identify and detect in ethanol at 575 and 618 nm less than one microgram up to more than seven micrograms of Pd+2 ion . The interference of UO2+2, Th+4, Pb+2 , Cd+2,Bi+3, Hg+2 and Zn+ 2 in the detection of Pd+2 ion at 575 nm ranges between (25.3 - 67)%. Whereas, the interference of these ions with the detection at 618 nm is only between (2.3 -3.9) %, so it is reasonable to suggest that BPADAP is a specific reagent for Pd+2 ion at 618 nm.

A simple, accurate and precise spectrophotometric method has been developed for the analysis of sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) in pure form and pharmaceutical preparation. The method involves a direct charge transfer complexation of sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) with sodium nitroprusside (SNP) in alkaline medium and the presence of hydroxyl amine hydrochloride. Variables affecting the formation of the formed orange colored complex were optimized following two approaches univariate and central composite experimental design (CCD) multivariate. Under optimum recommended conditions, the formed complex exhibits λmax at 512 nm and the method conforms Beer's law for SMZ concentration in the range of 5.0-150.0 (μg.mL-1) with molar absorptivity 1.139×103 L.mol-1.cm-1, and r = 0.9997. Analysis of SMZ pharmaceutical dosages shows a good agreement with the real amounts.

The precursor [W] [2-(2-(naphthalen-5-yl) diazenyl)-4-amino-3-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid] was synthesized from reaction of diazonium salt with 1-amino-2-naphtol-4-sulfonic acid. Then the tridentate Schiff base ligand type ONO was synthesized from the reaction of the precursor with salicyaldehyde in 1:1 mole ratio to produce the ligand H2L [2-(2-(naphthalen-5-yl) diazenyl)-4-(2-hydroxynaphthalen-3-yl)methyleneamino)-3-hydroxy salicyalene-1-sulfonic acid],the reaction achieved in methanol as a solvent under reflux. Spectroscopic methods IR, U.V, 1H,13C-NMR was used to characterize the ligand. Complexes of [CrIII, CoII, NiII and CdII] ions were also prepared through reaction of ligand with metal salts in 2:1 mole ratio at reflux, using KOH as a base, ethanol as a solvent. Chloride content, molar conductivity and melting point measurements along with I.R and U.V-Vis, atomic absorption (A.A) spectroscopy were used to characterize the complexes.1H-NMR spectroscopy was used to characterize Cd complex. Thermal analysis was used to insure the presence of crystallized H2O molecule in the complexes structure. The following formula was proposed for Cr complex: K[Cr(L)2]. H2O, while CoII, NiII and CdII complexes have the K2[M(L)2].H2O formula. The biological activity of the prepared compounds was studied. Fluorescence properties of the prepared compounds were studied (at room temperature) which indicate that the ligand may behave as strong fluorescent emitter. The complexes also showed fluorescence characteristic with the ligand. The ligand revealed high relative intensity and its fluorescence peak were also shifted to the lower or higher wavelength when compared with the complexes.

New complexes of first series of transition metals with P-amino benzene dithiocarbamate of the general formula [M(PABdtc)2] and [ M(PABdtc)2(L)n] M=Fe( ІІ ),Co( ІІ ),Ni( ІІ ) ,Cu(ІІ) and Zn (ІІ).

Physico chemical characterization of these complexes was applied using magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductance , Infrared and electronic spectra,
Metal content measurements, molar conductance indicate complexes of the type [M(PABdtc)2] and [M(PABdtc)2(L)n] are non-electrolyte while complexes of the type (R)4N[Ni(PABdtc)3] are 1:1 electrolyte. Magnetic moment and electronic spectra indicate that the complexes of the type [M(PABdtc)2] are tetrahedral geometry while the complexes of the type [M(PABdtc)2(L)n] and (R)4N[Ni(PABdtc)3] have octahedral geometry.

In this study, bauxite and modified bauxite /polymer, which were prepared as an adsorbent surfaces to adsorption of the tetracycline from aqueous solutions. A series of adsorption experiments were conducted to determine the equilibrium time and temperature effect on the adsorption process. The results showed that adsorption was agreed with the Freundlich equation model for the surface of the bauxite. As for the modified bauxite surface, the results were consistent with the Langmuir equation model. The values of the basic thermodynamic functions of the adsorption process were calculated, so the process of adsorption was founded spontaneous and endothermic.

New bidentate Schiff base ligand (L) namely [(Z)-3-(2-oxoindolin-3-ylildeneamino)benzoic acid] type (NO) was prepared via condensation of isatin and 3-amino benzoic acid in ethanol as a solvent in existence of drops of (glac. CH3COOH). The new ligand (L) was characterized base on elemental microanalysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR spectra along with melting point. Ligand complexes in general formula [M(L)2Cl2]. H2O, where: MII = Co, Cu, Cd, and Hg; L= C15H10 N2O3 were synthesized and identified by FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR (for Cd complex only) spectra, atomic absorption, chloride content along with molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility. It was found that the ligand behaves as bidentate on complexation via (N) atom of imine group and (O) atom of carbonyl group of five member ring. The electronic spectral data and μeff values (Co, Cu) of the complexes exhibited octahedral geometry around CoII, CuII, CdII, HgII metal ions. The results of antibacterial activity showed that only Hg(II) complex has high activity (35 mm) for staphylococcus aureas.

The research includes the preparation of two nano polymer ( , ) through a grafted nano ceramic material (aluminum oxide )(80 nm) by acrylic acid monomer. The latter was extended with two different ester monomers using free radical polymerization. The antibacterial activity of the prepared compounds) performed according to the agar diffusion method. All compounds (1, 2, 3, 4, NP1, NP2) showed inhibition against bacterial.

Corrosion behavior of aluminium in 0.6 mol. dm-3 NaCL solution in acidic medium ( ) was investigated in the absence and presence of different concentrations of amino acid, glutamic acid, as environmentally – friendly corrosion inhibitor over temperature range (293-308)K. The investigation involved electrochemical polarization method using potentiostatic technique and optical microscopy, the inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in inhibitor concentration but decreased with increase in temperature. Results showed that the inhibition occurs through adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the metal surface and it was found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Some thermodynamic parameters ( ) and activation energy ( )were calculated to elaborate the mechanism of corrosion inhibition. The polarization measurements indicated that glutamic acid is of mixed type. The surface characteristic of the inhibited and uninhibited metal samples were investigated by optical microscopy.

We described herein the synthesized and characterized of new bent and liner core compounds containing thiazolidin-4-one ring[XI-XIII] and [XIV-XVI] respectively. These compounds synthesized by sequence reactions starting from reaction resorcinol or hydroquinone with chloracetyl chloride to yield compounds [I] and [II] ,then the later compounds reactant with 4-hydroxybenzylaldehyde to product dialdehyde compounds [III] and [IV] .The Schiff bases compounds[V-VII] and [VIII-X] synthesized from reaction the compound [III] or [IV] with different aromatic amines, while the bent and liner core mesogens containing thiazolidin-4-one ring [XI-XIII] and [XIV-XVI] synthesized from reaction Schiff bases compounds[V-VII] or [VIII-X] with thioglycolic acid. In addition estrfecation of cinnamic acid with methanol to yield ester compound[XVII]which was converted to their acid hydrazid[XVIII] and the acid hydrazid reacted with glysine in phosphorous oxychloride to yield (5-styryl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) methanamine [XIX]. Then reactant the1,3,4-oxadiazol compound[XIX] with dialdehyde compound [III] or [IV] to product new Schiff bases compounds [XX] and [XXI] , afterword added thioglycolic acid to give new thiazolidin-4-one derivatives [XXII] and [XXIII], respectively.
The synthesized compounds were characterized by melting points , FTIR ,1HNMR and mass spectroscopy (of some of them).The liquid crystalline properties were studied by hot stage polarized optical microscopy (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).All the Schiff bases compounds [V-X] showed liquid crystals phases while thiazolidin-4-one derivatives[XI-XIII],[XIV-XVI]and [XXIII] didn’t show any liquid crystals properties except the compound [XXII] showed enantiotropic nematic phase.

New bidentate dithiocarbamate ligand (NaL) namely [Sodium-2-(((3-methyl -4- “(2,2,2-tri
fluoro ethoxy) pyridin-2”-yl) methyl) sulfinyl)-1H-benzoimidazole -1-carbodithioate] was prepared. This free ligand was synthesized from the reaction of a (RS)-2-([3-methyl -4-(2,2,2-tri fluoroethoxy) pyridin-2-yl] methyl sulfinyl)-1H benzoimidazole, CS2 and NaOH in methanol as solvent. From reaction of dithiocarbamate salt (NaL) with metal ions (M); Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pd(II)”, have obtained the DTC complexes at general molecular formula [M(L)2(H2O)2] and [Pd(L)2]. To characterize the ligand and its complexes, used different analyses methods such FTIR, UV-Vis, elemental microanalysis, atomic absoreption, magnetic susceptibility, conductance, melting points, 1H- 13C- NMR spectroscopy, thermal analysis and mass spectrum. These studies indicated the formation of DTC complexes which their geometries about metal centers are octahedral; except Pd-complex is square planer. The bacterial activity evaluation against investigated bacterial species indicated that the metal complexes are more active than the free ligand when compared them.

Let L be a commutative ring with identity and let W be a unitary left L- module. In this paper, we study modules which satisfies the ascending chain conditions (ACC) and descending chain conditions (DCC) on this kind of submodules.

The technique of integrate complimentary details from two or more input images is known as image fusion. The fusion image is more informational and will be complete more than any of the original input images. This paper Illustrates implementation and evaluation of fusion techniques used on the Satellite images a high-resolution Panchromatic (Pan) and Multispectral (MS). A new algorithm is proposed to fuse a Pan and MS of the low-resolution images based on combining IHS and Haar wavelet transform.Firstly, this paper clarifies the classical fusion by using IHS transform and Haar wavelet transform individually. Secondly proposition new strategy of combining the two methods. Performance of the proposed method is evaluated with the help of assessment parameter such as Mean Square Error and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio. Experiment results shows that the proposed algorithm has higher performance than the classical fusion by IHS transform.

Activity recognition (AR) is a new interesting and challenging research area with many applications (e.g. healthcare, security, and event detection). Basically, activity recognition (e.g. identifying user’s physical activity) is more likely to be considered as a classification problem. In this paper, a combination of 7 classification methods is employed and experimented on accelerometer data collected via smartphones, and compared for best performance. The dataset is collected from 59 individuals who performed 6 different activities (i.e. walk, jog, sit, stand, upstairs, and downstairs). The total number of dataset instances is 5418 with 46 labeled features. The results show that the proposed method of ensemble boost-based classifier overperforms other classifiers that were examined in this research paper.
