External Morphological study of species Saprinus discoidalis of subfamily saprininae from family Histeridae of the order coleopteran. The specements of the present study were collected from Salahdin Governor-ate (Beigi &Balad) and Governorate during May 2012. The present study included detailed description of most body parts (Head, Thorax, Abdomen and their appendages) identification and recognition of species study male genitalia. The species Saprinus discoidalis LeConte is a new record to Iraqi fauna of Coleoptera.

The experiment was carried out in the wooden canopy in the green garden of Biology Department , College of Education for Pure Science – Ibn AL –Haitham, Baghdad University, during the growing season of 2012- 2013 , to study the influence of foliar application of three concentrations of zinc (0,50,75)mg. L ¯¹ with four concentrations of boron (0, 25, 50, 75) mg. L¯¹ and their interactions on some growth parameters of vegetative part of chickpea plant. The experiment was designed according to Randomized Completely Block Design(RCBD)with three replications, results indicated that:- 1- Foliar application of zinc and boron caused a significant increase in the averaye of dry weight for the first harvest, No. of branches. plant¯¹, No. of flowers . plant¯¹ , the relative efficiency of fertilizer for the first harvest , the secondary productivity , the content of each nitrogen , phosphorus and calcium for the both harvests , percentage of protein for the both harvests and the content of total chlorophyll, compared with the control . 2- The interaction effect between the two elements was significant in the growth parameters and superiority of the treatment 75 mg . L¯¹ zinc and 75 mg. L¯¹ boron in giving the best value.

The morphological characters of Satureja L. species which is grown in Iraq were studied in detail ,starting from root,stem,leaves ,inflorescences ,flowers and fruits .The current study revelid that the characters of calyx and corolla have great important taxonomically ,besides the variations in the shape and size of leaves and bract ,figures were drawen ,schedules and plates have been prepared.The indumentums study showed that the trichomes have important taxonomically value of both glandular and eglandular hairs.

An experiment was conducted in the green garden of Department of Biology/ in College of Education for Pure Sciences Ibn-Al-Haitham/ Baghdad University for the grouth season (2012-2013) to study the effect of three concentrations of gibberellic acid (0, 50, 100) ppm and three concentrations of proline (0, 25, 50) ppm on micronutrients content (Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Manganese (Mn) and Copper (Cu) ppm) in addition to total chlorophyll content (µg. cm-2) for the green part of peas plant (Pisum sativum), pots of (8 kg) soil were used, the experiment was conducted according to complete randomized design (CRD) and three replicates, whereby the experiment included (27) pots, the significant variations were compared between means using least significant difference- LSD test. The results have represented that the concentrations (100) ppm of gibberellic acid and (50) ppm of proline led to significant increase of iron and copper contents and total chlorophyll content, whereas the concentrations (50) ppm of gibberellic acid and (50) ppm of proline led to the higher significant contents of zinc and manganese .

The species Cyclops varicans G.O.Sars (Which was recorded for the first time in Iraq ) was chossen to study the effect of photoperiods on the species reproduction growth . The chossen photoperiods were 0:24 , 12: 12 , and 24 : 0 L.D. The data showed obvious statistical effect of photoperiods specially 24 : 0 L.D. on the mean of clutch size , produced eggs , no. of nauplei , transformation time of nauplius I to copepodid I and transformation time of copepodid I to adult stage . The data also showed uneven effects of photoperiods on the number and maturation period of both males and females . Temperature , transparency , PH , and electrical conductivity also have been studied for the adoption as ideal condition in the laboratory for the growth and reproduce of this species .

In this paper, design computationl investigation in the field of charged-particle optics with the aid of numerical analysis methods under the absence of space charge effects. The work has been concentrated on the design of three-electrode einzel electrostatic lens accelerating and decelerating operated under different magnification conditions. The potential field distribution of lens has been represented by exponential function. The paraxial-ray equation has been solved for the proposed field to determine the trajectory of charged-particles traversing in the lens. From The axial potential distribution and its first and second derivatives, the optical properties such as the focal length and the spherical and chromatic aberration coefficients have been computed, the electrode shape of lens has been determined by using SIMION computer program . In this research , design electrostatic einzel lens three-electrode accelerating and decelerating L=2mm, 20mm operated under different magnification conditions (zero, infinite, finite). The electrode shape of the electrostatic lens was then determined from the solution of the Laplace's equation. The results showed low values of spherical and chromatic aberrations which are considered as good criteria for good design

BaCoxTixFe12-2xO19 (x=0.1, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.7) were prepared using powder technology technique . X-ray diffraction with diffractometer CuKα radiation analysis and Rietveld refinement of the samples were studied and showed a single phase of hexagonal structure with SP63/mmc space group . Lattice parameters, cell volume , crystallite size and x-ray density were determined .The hexagonal structure was represented by using PowderCell program showing the atomic positions of Co ,Ti, and Fe ions.

This paper addresses the substrate temperature effect on the structure, morphological and optical properties of copper oxide (CuO) thin films deposited by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method on sapphire substrate of 150nm thickness. The films deposited at two different substrate temperatures (473 and 673)K. The atomic force microscopy (AFM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and UV-VIS transmission spectroscopy were employed to characterize the size, morphology, crystalline structure and optical properties of the prepared thin films. The surface characteristics were studied by using AFM. It is found that as the substrate temperature increases, the grain size increased but the surface roughness decreased. The FTIR spectra showed strong band at about 418 cm-1and 530 cm-1related to CuO. From the UV-VIS transmission, the energy band gap decreased from 2.2eV to 1.7eV as the substrate temperature was increased 473 and 673K

The rotational model symmetry is a strong feature of 1d shell nuclei, where symmetry breaking spin-orbital force is rather weak. The binding energies and low-lying energy spectra of Mg (A=20,22,28 and 30) even-even isotopes have been calculated. The interaction used contains the monopole-monopole, quadrupole-quadrupole and isospin dependent terms. Interaction parameters are fixed so as to reproduce the binding of 8 nucleons in N=8 orbit for Z=12 isotope.

The calculated neutron yields from (α, n) reactions are very important in analyzing radiation shielding of spent fuel storage, transport and safe handling. The cross sections of 63Cu (α, n) 66Ga and 65Cu (α, n) 68Ga reactions are calculated for different α-energies using different sets of programs using Matlab language. The values deduced energy is from threshold to Eα= 30 MeV and to Eα= 40 MeV for 63Cu (α, n) 66Ga and 65Cu (α, n) 68Ga respectively. The weight average cross section was then used to calculate the neutron yields y0 (n/106α) for each reaction .The empirical formula was then suggested to calculate total neutron yield to each isotope.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the thickness of the compressed breast in mediolateral oblique (MLO) and craniocaudal (cc) mammograms to relate these thickness and breast patterns to mean glandular dose (MAD) in Iraqi women and to evalualat radiology's recommendation for Iraqi women. The study of population consists of 20 paired MLO and CC mammograms obtained on one mammograms unit .The digital read out of compressed breast thickness MGD was calculated by multiplying entrance skin exposure by the exposureto-absorbed dose conversion factor for the range of breast thickness which was 7.1 ----7.4cm in cc mammograms with a mean breast thickness of 7.2 cm and 7.3 ------7.5 cm in MLO mammograms with a mean breast thickness of 7.52 MGDs in cc and MLO mammograms were 1.89 mGY and 1.99 mGY per view respectively. According to our initial trial, the MGDS OF IRAQI women are lower than recommended by the American collage and UK of radiology.

The formulations and the properties of the Zinc Polycarboxylate Dental Cements are reviewed then new cements of this type are prepared with modified solid part of the cement. High silica glass powder with different particle sizes is prepared and added with different weight percentages to the zinc oxide. The liquid part of the prepared cements was merely 44% concentration of the polyacrylic acid. Accordingly, the usual and expensive additives to the liquid and solid part of the cement are eliminated. The working and setting times, compressive strength, flexural strength and modulus are measured according to ADA specifications. The formulated cement has long working times without much lengthening of the setting times. In addition, the mechanical properties have noticeably improved as compared with the original cements

This study is a try to compare between the traditional Schwarzschild’s radius and the equation of Schwarzschild’s radius including the photon’s wavelength that is suggested by Kanarev for black holes to correct the error in the calculation of the gravitational radius where the wavelengths of the electromagnetic radiation will be in our calculation. By using the different wavelengths; from radio waves to gamma ray for arbitrary black holes (ordinary and supermassive).

A dynamic experimental study of thermal decomposition of low density polyethylene has been carried out with two different heating rates .As usual , we can determine the activation energy of any polymer using( 3 - 6 ) TGA experiment as minimum , but in this work , we estimate the activation energy of LDPE using two of TGA experiments only

In this research, we prepared a hybrid composite material of polymeric matrix hand cast method, composite material has been attended from epoxy resin EP as matrix materials reinforced woven roving fiber jute is constant volume fraction (13%), PVC fibers and woven glass fiber with different fraction on the properties of prepared composite materials to PVC fiber and glass fiber, some of mechanical tests were done at room temperature (impact test and banding test). Result shows that the values of (modulus bending elastic and fracture toughness) increase fraction of fiber with the increase of PVC, E-glass, there include (thermal conductivity and dielectric constant). Also experimental result indicated that the (thermal conductivity and dielectric constant) increase with the increase of fiber volume fraction.

Extended calculations for sputtering yield through bombed Iron – target by ( H,D ,T ,He ) ions plasma are accomplished .The calculations include changing the input parameters : the energy of ( H,D ,T ,He ) ions plasma, the hit target angle of Iron, change atomic mass of incident ion. The program TRIM is used to accomplish these calculations. The results show that sputtering yield is directly dependent on these parameters. It can change the incident angle of ( H,D ,T ,He ) ions and energy lead to a significant change in sputtering yield on the other hand. The sputtering yields are highly affected by changing of incident ion mass at fixed other target parameters. It can be shown from calculation that whenever increased incident ion mass increase sputtering yield, increases with incident ions energy and then begins to decline, sputtering will not occur , at incident ion energies below the threshold energy . In this study we found that the sputtering yield depends on incidence angle, incident ions energy and atomic mass of target.

Undoped and Al-doped CdO thin films have been prepared by vacuum thermal evaporation on glass substrate at room temperature for various Al doping ratios (0.5, 1 and 2)wt.% . The films are characterized by XRD and AFM surface morphology properties. XRD analysis showed that CdO:Al films are highly polycrystalline and exhibit cubic crystal structure of lattice constant averaged to 0.4696 nm with (111) preferred orientation. However, intensity of all peaks rapidly decreases which indicates that the crystallinity decreases with the increase of Al dopant. The grain size decreases with Al content (from 60.81 to 48.03 nm). SEM and AFM were applied to study the morphology and to estimate the surface roughness of the obtained films. All films were homogeneous and smooth, with a characteristic spherical grain size depending on Al content. The (RMS) roughness of the films increases with the increase of Al dopant. The improvement of the structural and surface morphology properties of Al-doped CdO has potential applications for different optoelectronic device applications.

This work includes the synthesis of some new five- seven heterocyclic rings derived from benzenesulfonylhydrazide as starting material. Its condensation with 4-methoxy and 4nitro benzaldehyde gives the Schiff bases (1a,b). Schiff bases were reacted with cyclic anhydrides given Oxazepine, Thiazepine derivatives(2,3,4 a,b)(seven membered ring) and with 2-mercapto benzoic acid gives thiazine derivatives (6a,b)(six membered ring) finally with thioglycolic acid give thiazolidine ring(five membered ring) scheme(3). The synthesized compounds have been characterized by melting points,FT-IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy ,13CNMR and Elemental analysis. some of synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonous aureous and Escherichia coli .The results showed good efficacy against these types of bacteria.

Endometriosis, an autoimmune disease is among one of the most challenging of the 21 st century that affects women in reproductive age. The aim of the present study is to highlight the role of IL-36γ, and its relationship with other cytokines (Ang-2 and TNF-α) in the pathogenesis of endometriosis . Seventy five (75) consecutive women patient of reproductive age (25-40) years were enrolled in this study , Patients were divided into three groups , group 1 (G1) included (25) newly diagnosed endometriotic patients , that were not given any treatment related to Gynecology or anti-inflammatory medications . Second group : group 2 (G2) consists of (25) endometriotic patient who were treated with zoladex for 3 to 5 months , they received zoladex injection every 28 day in the first day after diagnosis. The third group: Group 3 (G3) involved (25) patients with recurrent endometriosis , they were post treatment of zoladex and diagnosis revealed recurrence of endometriosis. Patients groups were compared with two control groups , with matched age with patients’ groups. The first control group (C) included (25) healthy women , and the second control group or pathological control group (PC) involved (25) women suffering from infertility caused by gynecological disorder unrelated to endometriosis.IL-36γ , Ang-2 and TNF-α were estimated in sera of studied groups. The results from this study revealed that IL-36γ levels were highly significant increase (p<0.001) and significant increase (p<0.05) in G1 comparing with groups C and PC respectively. While high significant decrease(p<0.001) was found in G2 comparing with G1. Also , there are no significant differences (p≥0.05) shown in G2 comparing with C group and in G3 comparing with G1.On the otherhand , Ang-2 levels were highly significant increased (p<0.001) and significant increase (p<0.05) in G1 comparing with groups C and PC respectively. While significant decrease (p<0.05) was found in G2 comparing with G1. Also , there are no significant differences (p≥0.05) in Ang-2 levels shown in G2 comparing with C group and in G3 comparing with G1 Our results also implied that TNF-α levels were highly significant increased (p<0.001) in G1 comparing with C group. While no significant differences (p≥0.05) was found in G1 comparing with PC group and in G3 comparing with G1. Also there are significant differences (p<0.05) shown in G2 comparing with G1 and C group. Our findings for endometriotic patient groups. A high significant difference was found between Ang-2 and TNF-α levels with IL-36γ for G1 , G2 and G3. The conclusion of this study reveals that IL-36γ could be considered a novel biochemical marker in endometriotic patients. Conclusion could be drawn from the results that endometriosis may be influenced on the cytokines secretion such as IL-36γ beside Ang-2 and TNF-α in G1 and G3 , suggesting that inflammatory / immunological factors associating with angiogenesis responses play crucial roles in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Also, the results showed the role of zoladex in alteration immune responses as shown in G2

In this study new derivatives of O-[2-{''2-Substituted Aryl (''1,''3,''4 thia diazolyl) ['3,'4b]-'1,'2,'4- Triazolyl]-Ethyl]-p- chlorobenzald oxime (6-11) have been synthesized from the starting material p-chloro – E- benzaldoxime 1. Compound 2 was synthesized by the reaction of p-chloro – E- benzaldoxime with ethyl acrylate in basic medium. Refluxing compound 2 with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol absolute afforded 3. Derivative 4 was prepared by the reaction of 3 with carbon disulphide, treated of compound 4 with hydrazine hydrate gave 5. The derivatives (6-11) were prepared by the reaction of 5 with different substitutes of aromatic acids. The structures of these compounds were characterized from their melting points, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and 1HNMR (some of them). Compounds (6-11) were exhibited biological activity against E- coli bacteria. Compound 9 exhibited higher degree of activity than the other. Two different approaches, univariate and multivariate (simplex method), have been used to obtain the optimum conditions for the quantitative Spectrophotometric determination of Eu3+ using Solochrome violet RS (3-Hydroxy-4-(2-hydroxy phenyl azo) naphthalene -1sulfonic acid) (SVRS) as a chromogenic reagent. The investigation shows that Eu3+ ion forms a wine-red complex with SVRS in alkaline buffer solution having a maximum absorbance at 464 nm against reagent blank. Calibration graphs obtained under univariate and simplex were found to be linear in the range of (0.30-8.0) µg/ml with detection limit 0.061µg/ml and molar absorptivity of 9877.66 L/mol.cm and (0.40-10.0)µg/ml with detection limit 0.055µg/ml and molar absorptivity of 10759.05 L/mol.cm respectively. The stoichiometric composition of the formed Eu-SVRS chelate complex is 1:4 (Metal:Ligand). Effect of the presence of some metal ions as interferences was studied and the method has been applied successfully to the determination of cited ion in synthetic sample.

Two arylenedisuccinamic acids, namely 1,4-phenylene-disuccinamic acid and 4,4'biphenyl-disuccinamic acid were prepared from the reaction of two moles of succinic anhydride with one mole of 1,4-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride and beinzidine respectively.Dehydration of arylenedisuccinamic acid in the pressence of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and catalytic amount of concentrated.H2SO4,gives N,N'-arylenedisuccinimidesPVAcomposite polymers. Dehydration of arylenedisuccinamic acid (without PVA) in the pressence of catalytic amount of conc. H2SO4 gives N,N'-arylenedisuccinimides. Arylenedisuccinamic acid and arylenedisuccinimides characterized by CHN-analysis,FT.IR and 1H,C13-NMR.Spectral analysis

We study one example of hyperbolic problems it's Initial-boundary string problem with two ends. In fact we look for the solution in weak sense in some sobolev spaces. Also we use energy technic with Galerkin's method to study some properties for our problem as existence and uniqueness

Let R be a commutative ring with unity, let M be a left R-module. In this paper we introduce the concept small monoform module as a generalization of monoform module. A module M is called small monoform if for each non zero submodule N of M and for each f ∈ Hom(N,M), f ≠0 implies ker f is small submodule in N. We give the fundamental properties of small monoform modules. Also we present some relationships between small monoform modules and some related modules

M is called a hollow module if every proper submodule N of M is small (N ≪ M), i.e. N + W ≠M for every proper submodule W in M. A δ-hollow module is a generalization of hollow module, where an R-module M is called δ-hollow module if every proper submodule N of M is δ-small (N δ  M), i.e. N + W ≠M for every proper submodule W in M with M W is singular. In this work we study this class of modules and give several fundamental properties related with this concept

It is frequently asserted that an advantage of a binary search tree implementation of a set over linked list implementation is that for reasonably well balanced binary search trees the average search time (to discover whether or not a particular element is present in the set) is O(log N) to the base 2 where N is the number of element in the set (the size of the tree). This paper presents an experiment for measuring and comparing the obtained binary search tree time with the expected time (theoretical), this experiment proved the correctness of the hypothesis, the experiment is carried out using a program in turbo Pascal with recursion technique implementation and a statistical method to prove the above hypothesis. Search time is estimated by the number of comparisons needed.

This paper determined the difference between the first image of the natural and the second infected image by using logic gates. The proposed algorithm was applied in the first time with binary image, the second time in the gray image, and in the third time in the color image. At start of proposed algorithm the process images by applying convolution to extended images with zero to obtain more vision and features then enhancements images by Edge detection filter (laplacion operator) and smoothing images by using mean filter ,In order to determine the change between the original image and the injury the logic gates applied specially X-OR gates . Applying the technique for tooth decay through this comparison can locate injury, this difference may be tooth decay or a broken bone , cancerous cells or infected gums, The X-OR gate is the best gates uses in this technique. Simulation program using visual basic has been in order to determine final results.
