This research aims to collect the rest of the poetic output of a great poet of Transoxiana, Ibn Matran al-Shashi in the metropolis of Bukhara, the capital of the Samanid king who owed allegiance to the Abbasid Caliphate.

Ibn Mutran al-Shashi has a poetry collection known in his time, but he did not reach us, even if he collected the rest of his poetry, he informs us about the life of poetry in the country beyond the river, and its general characteristics, and reveals to us aspects of social, economic, and cultural life there, as well as my desire to Shedding light on the poets of Transoxiana, who hardly drew attention to them and their poetic output; For these and other reasons, I collected the poetry of Ibn Matran Al-Shashi, and the research plan was divided into two parts: the first section included a study of the poet’s biography and his poetic purposes, and the second section included Ibn Matran’s poetry according to the sober scientific investigation method.

The research aims at the judiciary in Islam and that it has gone through historical stages, it developed according to the political and social conditions that the Islamic caliphate went through, starting from the era of the Prophet (peace be upon him), in which the judiciary was characterized by simplicity in line with the simplicity of the Islamic society. This study is a part of a continuous examination to assess students’ perceptions concerning teaching English at the primary stage. This study aims to examine the students’ perception towards Smart Board used in teaching English language in improving and incorporating the four skills of English language teaching. In such kind of setting, the instrument previously mentioned is applied as a teaching technique. The study employs a test that is carried out for students with participants of a total number of (120) in the sixth stage, selected from (6) primary schools (3) are private schools and (3) are public ones in Mosul city, Iraq. The findings showed students’ preference of Smart Boards classes as compared to old-fashioned method of traditional oral teaching using white- board and a marker in teaching English language. Students as well showed an encouraging attitude towards such a mode of teaching. As a consequence, this study fits into earlier studies that are intended to locate the effectiveness of this technology within academia. The researcher recommends the need to initiate the same studies on higher educational levels to ascertain the efficacy of such a form of technology that contributes to the wholesome fruitful consequences.

No matter how simple a text might look in addressing young readers, still it is not free from ideology. Ideologies are socially shared systems of beliefs that are systematic, intentional, and controlled by the domination and power of a group within a particular society. Ideologies can not only be represented by verbal modes of communication but even by other kinds of semiotic modes such as visual images. Consequently, the following study tries to explore the way ideology could be represented through visual images in the front covers of AL-Mizmar, an Iraqi children magazine, during two highly disturbing periods of the Iraqi socio-political ruling state history, the 1970s and 1980s. The researcher argues that the way visual images used in the front covers of Al-Mizmar magazine reflects an explicit representation of the ideology adopted by the ruling state. What is more, it is also argued that there is a more drastic shift in ideology representation observed in the use of visual images in Al-Mizmar front covers throughout the 1970s than it is the case in the 1980. It is found that this shift is due to the foundational changes of interest and power of the Iraqi ruling state at the period under consideration. The analysis of the data revealed rather interesting and likely crucial findings that assert the researcher's initial arguments regarding the controversial relation that holds between political ideology and media in its visual mode.
