;52.8% ; 4T5% ; 49.3 %and 46.1% in years between March 19'99 tq December 2006 respectively (except 2QOJ), and for int c:tion with: G: lami}lia wer 2 .3% ;20% · 15 ,GiJio ;13.6% ·23% ;17.2% and 2 .4% in years from March 1999 to December 200'6 respectivelY {Except

2003).

The hi_ghest rate of infection \Â¥ith E. hisroljHica was 52.!)% in

.:2002and for G.lantblitiwas (23.4), % ii1 2:096. The highest rate· of

Fifty isolates of Psel.ldomonas aeruginosa were obtained from

(170) isoiates of ctlinical cases. Sensitivity of the isolates t() antibiotic leveled showed a high resistance to cefotaxime, ceftazidime, gentamicin and tobramycin. To less extent was the resistance to· amikacin and ciprofloxacine. All isolates of Pseudomonas aeru,ginosa were highly sensitive tocefepime and imipenem.

Eighty six percent oJ the isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced protease enzyme .The isolatt;: Number (2) of Pseudomonas cterugirwsa gave the highest production of this enzyme. This. isolate

was selected for protease purifica:tiort, using ammonium sulfate precipitation and ion exchange, DEAE cellulose and gel filtration with sephadex G-100.

Enzyme activity was affected by some antibiotics. The

activity :was reduced with incre ing concentratiohs of these

antibiotics..

Five species of Legion.ella :Were identified, these were Legionella pneumophlla, legionella dumoffii , Legionella Jordans, Legionidla oeakridensis, Legiviiella micdadei.

Legion(!/la - pneu-mophila were predominant followied' by

L.micdadei.

The perc.ent.a.ge occurancc of species were differe during any month of the, year. It was found that the p(!rcentage of occurance of

spccie:s in the summer is more than the other season, and the

percentage of occurance Qf species differs between Jan 2004 and Dec

2005.
