Al-Anbar Medical Journal (AMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly by the College of Medicine, University of Anbar. The journal serves as a global platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in all fields of medical and biomedical sciences. AMJ welcomes a wide range of manuscript types, including editorials, original research articles, review articles, case reports, clinical images, and letters to the editor. As an open-access journal, AMJ ensures free and unrestricted access to its content for both researchers and readers worldwide, fostering the exchange of scientific knowledge and promoting medical advancement.
Journal Scope
Al-Anbar Medical Journal (AMJ) publishes a wide range of high-quality articles that reflect recent advances in both clinical medicine and basic biomedical sciences. The journal welcomes contributions from diverse medical and scientific disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Clinical Medicine: Internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, dermatology, hematology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and other clinical specialties.
- Basic Biomedical Sciences: Pharmacology, biochemistry, parasitology, infectious diseases, microbiology, virology, immunology, epidemiology, chemotherapy, community medicine, public health, and related fields.
AMJ publishes various article types, including original research, review articles, case reports, editorials, images in clinical practice, and letters to the editor. The journal has a broad readership, with wide circulation among clinicians, researchers, and biomedical scientists in Iraq and neighboring countries.
The primary mission of AMJ is to advance the dissemination of scientific knowledge, foster collaboration among clinicians and biomedical researchers, and promote high-quality research in both clinical and basic medical sciences. The journal is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of research ethics and aims to provide valuable scientific content to the medical and scientific community.
Open Access Policy
Al-Anbar Medical Journal (AMJ) is committed to publishing fully open access articles. This means that all articles are immediately available online to all users upon publication, ensuring that the research is easily accessible worldwide. The journal\'s editorial team is always prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary to maintain the integrity of the content.
Articles published in AMJ are subject to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows users to:
- Read, print, and download articles.
- Redistribute, translate, and reuse portions or extracts from the article in other works.
- Perform text and data mining using the article content.
All submitted manuscripts undergo similarity checks using iThenticate to ensure originality and are rigorously peer-reviewed by international reviewers to maintain the quality of the published content.
