Propagation of sugarcane Saccharum officinarum (L) Plant via in vitro by callus production through the culture of shoot tips on MS medium supplemented by 2,4- D 3 mg/L. Organogenic callus were produced by culturing callus on MS medium contained BA and kinetin at 0.5 mg/L for both of them. Incubation of culture was at 25 c and photoperiod at 16 hr and darkness for 8 hrs. Adventitious shoots were cultured on rooting medium contained MS salts at half concentration and NAA 0.5 mg/L , BA 0.5 mg/L and incubated for 8 weeks. Then plantlets were produced and successfully acclimatized.

A laboratory experiment was conducted to investigate the replacement of soybean meal with moringa, Moringa oleifera (Author's name and year) leaf meal (MLM) in the formulated diet of common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Eight aquaria, two for each treatment, were used for the current experiment conducted at the Laboratory of Live Food- Aquaculture Unit- Agriculture College. Four treatments which were control (C) (0% MLM), T1 (5% MLM), T2 (10% MLM) and T3 (15% MLM) were used in feeding common carp. This experiment lasted 56 days and fishes were fed six days a week using 5% of fish weights as feeding ratio. Statistical analysis of weight increments and daily growth rate proved that there were significant differences (P≤0.05) between T3 and other treatments, while there were no significant differences (P>0.05) between C and both T1 & T2. Best feed conversion rate (3.13) achieved by fishes fed on feed with 5% moringa leaf meal (T1), while the worst feed conversion rate (7.50) was achieved by fishes fed on feed with 15% moringa leaf meal (T3). In conclusion that better growth and feed conversion rate achieved by fishes fed on feed with 5% moringa leaf meal and increasing the ratio in the feed will affect adversely the results

This study dealt with measuring the concentrations of radioactive radon gas emitted from (35) water samples taken from selected areas of the marshes of Basra Governorate – southern Iraq, to determine the concentrations of the radon gas 222Rn emitted from the selected and newborn samples of the radioactive element Radium 226R resulting from the decay of isotope uranium 238U in (July) 2020. Fast electronic technology has been adopted by the RAD7 device. The results showed that the highest concentration of radon gas in water was 15.531 ± 1.067Bq. L-1 in the sample from am alsanadiq of funds in the marshes of Basra city, and the lowest concentration rate was 0.034±0.002 Bq. L-1 in a water sample from Qurna among the studied samples. The effective annual dose of water was calculated at the highest concentration rate and found to be 0.843mSv.y-1 and this value is higher than the internationally recommended limits by specialized international organizations of 0.1 mSv.y-1. In general, it was found that the radon gas concentrations in some of the water samples selected from the marshes of Basra Governorate–southern Iraq within the study were higher than the permissible values of 11.1 Bq. L-1 according to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and that they may pose a risk to the health of the population in those areas in If no necessary action is taken.

Some reproductive characters of Himantura walga (Müller, 1841) male were studied. The fish were catching from the Iraqi marine waters in the northwest of the Arabian Gulf during the period from January to December 2017. Samples were obtained by fishing boats in the Iraqi marine waters, and 102 males were collected by trawls. The gonadal somatic index was studied in males and were highest in May and September (10.048 , 9.97) respectively, and it decreased in the months February, July and August (0.452 , 0.654 and 0.664) respectively, the results showed that there were four groups of disk width, the male clasper was also dissected as well as the canal or siphon. The appearance of matures males were observed in May and September, indicating the existence of breeding periods for the studied fish. The relationship between body weight and the disc width of the fish were estimated by formula: T W= 0.00031× (DW) 2.595 as well as the length of the clasper and the disk width of the studied fish.
