Syriac and Arabic sources are rich in information about many villages in Mosul's countryside. Those villages were thriving economically and scientifically during the Middle Ages, but now some of them have been consigned to oblivion, and there are just ruins and archaeological hills bearing their old names remaining. The names suffered from corruption of the letters of words and from attributing names to some sites wrongly, and the reverse is true. Nonetheless, the description of their geographical position on the Tigris banks and both Zabs the Greater and the Lesser or their positions in their Kawars and their multitude of districts made the picture clearer and contributed to pinpointing their position according to geographical and historical texts, besides the researcher's views and conclusions.

Professor Emeritus Dr. Taha Khudor Obaid of is regarded as one of Pioneer Professors at the University of Mosul. He is specialized in History and Islamic Arab civilization in addition to Byzantine history. He has clear fingerprints in Byzantine and Islamic studies. His published books amount (13) books. He also published about 50 researches. Further, he is interested in the history of Mosul City, particularly in the during of the Abbasid Period. His last book (Studies on Mosul in Abbasid era) confirms his Love and affiliation to the city of Mosul.

The aim of the research is to measure the level of the non-adaptive cognitive schemas among the students without a father, to know the significance of the differences in the non-adaptive cognitive schemas for the middle school students in Hamdania according to the male/female gender variable. Measuring the level of non-adaptive cognitive schemas among ordinary students. The researcher relied on the five fields identified by Jeffrey Young in the year (2003). The researcher carried out the apparent validity and structural validity, and the discrimination sample was withdrawn by (400) of both sexes, and the scores were arranged from the highest degree to the lowest degree, so the discriminatory power of the paragraph was calculated using the t-test for two independent samples, and it was found that the calculated T-value ranged between (0.944-12.235). (10) paragraphs were deleted, so the number of paragraphs in the final form became (65) paragraphs, and the retest reliability coefficient was calculated, whose value was (0.80) and Cronbach’s alpha, whose value was (0.84), so the scale is ready to be applied to the basic sample, knowing that the highest degree is (325), the lowest score (65), and the hypothetical mean (195). The basic sample amounted to (58) male and female students who lost their father, and (58) male and female students from the ordinary students.

The current research aims at measuring the scale of the parental image for the students of Al-Hamdania University,as the parental image is the set of qualities, ideas, and traits that a student has who excels his parents as a result of the methods of socialization (interest, empathy, tolerance, trust, academic status, contradictory treatment) followed by parents since childhood until now with their child, and this image formed by the student may be real. or exaggerated and imaginary
The researcher used the descriptive method in her research and adopted a scale of the parental image by relying on the original version of the scale prepared by (Musa: 2016). The sample numbers amounted to (400) male and female students from the scientific and human it departments (computer - history - Arabic language - mathematics - geography - physical education and sports sciences). The scale consists of five domains (interest and sympathy - tolerance image - trust image - academic image - contradictory image), and the number of items was (28).
The apparent validity of the scale was calculated by presenting it to a group of experts in education and psychology, and their number was (20) experts, and some items were modified, and the percentage of agreement was 80%.
The researcher also calculated the discriminatory power of the scale items, and the distinction was calculated using the T-test for two independent samples, if no item was deleted from the scale, and the highest score on the scale was (84) and the lowest score was (28) with a hypothetical average of (56) and thus the scale is ready for application
The study concluded that the students of Al-Hamdania University enjoy a greater level of the hypothetical mean in the parental image

The research presents an applied model for how to identify the level of design thinking among students of distinguished schools in the city of Mosul. The study aimed to identify the differences in the level of design thinking according to gender differences (males - females) and the stage (fourth - fifth). The research sample consisted of (284) students A student from the distinguished schools of both sexes (males and females) who n a
random manner, the design thinking tool that was built by the researcher was applied to them, and then the psychometric properties of the scale were verified, such as the apparent validity, which reached (90) and the stability of (86), and it was verified through the discrimination statistic. Applying it to the sample showed results that showed that students in general have a high level of design thinking and that there is no significant difference between the gender variable for (male-female)
Based on the findings of the researcher, the researcher recommends the following:-
1- The necessity of paying attention to thinking programs in all educational institutions that would systematically develop mental processes
2- Urging students to participate in all activities in all respects and to benefit from all experiences, especially design, by focusing on everything that exists in the environment.
3- Organizing training courses for design thinking processes, the results of which are likely to flow into the development of the country through investing energies and exploiting them in the appropriate places.
The results also resulted in a number of suggestions, including conducting studies on:
1- Design thinking and its relationship to cognitive motivation
2- The effect of an educational program according to design thinking in developing cognitive methods
3- Design thinking among outstanding school students

The study aims to present the concept of alienation and its types and the problems that result from it, whether social, political, religious and psychological problems that the research focused on as the most important and most common manifestations of alienation such as anxiety, tension, psychological depression, rebellion, and internal and external conflicts between him and others, where feelings of alienation increased and multiplied for the nature of The life that a person lives, which is characterized by contradictions and successive changes, middle school students in government schools in the city of Mosul, morning study for the academic year (2021-2022). The research sample consisted of (800) male and female students. The city of Mosul and identifying the significance of the differences in light of the level of psychological alienation among the fourth preparatory grade students according to the gender variables (males, females) and the academic branch (scientific and literary). Psychological behavior among fourth year middle school students due to the gender variable (males and females) in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences in the The level of psychological alienation among fourth-grade students of middle school is attributed to the branch variable (scientific - literary) in favor of the literary. The study recommended the necessity of paying attention to lectures, seminars and holding student meetings to achieve social interaction among students who suffer from the problem of psychological alienation and providing the necessary mechanisms or means to overcome their psychological alienation.

he research aims to build an assertive behavior scale for the students of the University of Mosul, where the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, and the research community consisted of (23051) students for the academic year 2021-2022. A stratified random sample of (920) male and female students was selected at a rate of 4%. The scale of assertive behavior was built for the students of Mosul University, which includes five alternatives (very highly applicable, highly applicable, moderately applicable, little applicable, very little applicable) and includes four domains (leadership and direction, social, The field of autonomy, the field of defense of rights and feelings), For the purpose of extracting the psychometric properties, the scale was presented in its initial form to experts in educational and psychological sciences to extract the apparent validity, the building validity of the scale was extracted as well, and calculating the discriminatory power of the items, the calculated T values ranged between (2.340-8.652), which is greater than the tabular value of (1.96), and thus all the items of the scale are distinguished, also the internal consistency was calculated, as the values of the correlation coefficients for the degree of items and the total degree of the scale ranged between (2.209-15.268), As for the values of the correlation coefficients related to the degree of items and the total degree of the domains of the scale ranged between (3.185 - 12.789), and the number of items of the scale in its final form became (48) items. The stability was also extracted by the test and re-apply of the test, and the value of the correlation coefficient in this way was (0.84), and Cronbach's alpha equation value was (0.80), Thus, the highest expected score for the individual on the assertive behavior scale is (240) and the lowest expected score is (48) with a hypothetical average (144). The data was processed by the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) and the statistical methods that were used in the research are (one-sample t-test, two independent samples t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha equation).
The research came out with a number of recommendations and suggestions, including:
1- Recommendations:
- University’s professors support students and encourage them to adopt assertive behavior in their daily dealings.
- Organizing specialized courses by the university on how to use assertive behavior because of its positive results for society and the individual.
2- The suggestions include conducting a study on the following:
- Assertive behavior and its relationship to some variables such as (self- efficacy, personality style, decision-making).

- What is the level of strategic decision-making among the heads of departments of the colleges of the University of Mosul from the point of view of the Lecturers according to the variable of the scientific title (professor - assistant professor / teacher - assistant teacher)?
The paper was limited to a sample of Lecturers in the faculties of the University of Mosul for the academic year 2021-2022. The research sample consisted of (400) teachers who were chosen from (8) faculties, including (4) scientific faculties and (4) humanities faculties, making up a percentage of (10%) from the research community.
As for the research tool, the researcher used the scale of the level of strategic decision-making among the heads of the departments of the colleges of the University of Mosul, which was built by the researcher depending on the procedures of an exploratory study, and reliance on some of the literature and standards that he reviewed. The scale may be in its final version of (30) paragraphs answered by By choosing one of the five alternatives indicated for each item (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never) according to Likert scale, after finding the significance of the apparent validity and construct validity of it, and finding the scale’s stability, the test and retest methods were also adopted, the alpha-Cronbach equation and the subjective validity. Scale stability according to these methods (0.81 - 0.85 - 0.90), respectively.
