Place occupies a distinguished position in postmodern novels. According to some critics, it is the new hero in the literary text. Abstract

ABSTRACT
This study, titled "The Transformations of the Poetic Image in Abbas ibn al-Ahnaf," examines the use of poetic imagery within the context of Abbasid literature. Its objective is to analyze the poetic images employed by the poet in order to understand the artistic transformations reflected in his poetry.The significance of this study lies in shedding light on how Abbas ibn al-Ahnaf expressed his emotions and human experiences through poetic images, as well as offering a new perspective on the influence of the social and cultural context in shaping these images. The central issue of the study is to explore the factors that influenced the transformations of poetic imagery. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach to evaluate the poetic texts. The results reveal that the poetic imagery in Abbas ibn al-Ahnaf's poetry reflects the depth of his emotions and his connection to the surrounding social environment . The study concludes that Abbas ibn al-Ahnaf serves as a prominent example of how poets can express cultural and social transformations through the use of rich and effective poetic images.
Encouraging further research on this topic may contribute to a deeper understanding of Arabic literature and enhance its value as part of human heritage.

تتناول هذه الدراسة "تحوّلات الصورة الشعرية عند العباس بن الأحنف" في سياق الأدب العباسي، حيث تهدف إلى تحليل الصور الشعرية التي استعملها الشاعر لفهم التحولات الفنية التي شهدها شعره.
تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في تسليط الضوء على كيفية تعبير العباس بن الأحنف عن مشاعره وتجربته الإنسانية من خلال الصور الشعرية، فضلا عن تقديم رؤية جديدة حول تأثير السياق الاجتماعي والثقافي في تشكيل هذه الصور. تمثل إشكالية الدراسة في البحث عن العوامل التي أثرت في تحولات الصور الشعرية، حيث اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لتقييم النصوص الشعرية. أسفرت النتائج عن توصل الباحث إلى أن الصورة الشعرية في شعر العباس بن الأحنف تعكس عمق مشاعره وارتباطه بالبيئة الاجتماعية المحيطة به. تخلص الدراسة إلى أن العباس بن الأحنف يمثل مثالًا بارزًا على قدرة الشعراء في التعبير عن التحولات الثقافية والاجتماعية من خلال استعمال صور شعرية غنية وفعّالة. إن تعزيز الدراسات المستقبلية حول هذا الموضوع يمكن أن يساهم في فهم أعمق للأدب العربي

ABSTRACT
This research monitored the phenomenon of Assullam al-Taratubbi (The Hierarchical Ladder) in the sermon of Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf Al-Thaqafi when he was appointed governor of Iraq, which formed part of his argumentative language. Because Al-Hajjaj has a linguistic strategy that derives its dimensions from the conditions accompanying the requirements of the speech, it is no wonder that these requirements have an impact on the structure of the argumentative ladder during the discourse in order to continue in this regard between the addressees to achieve the desired goals of the argument, which are represented in influencing the recipient and pushing him to accomplish a specific action through the content of the speech, and the gradualness of speech is what most distinguishes the argumentative speech and makes the arguments presented in this hierarchy directed towards the result that is wanted to be got in order to convince and influence, and Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf succeeded in arranging his arguments in his sermon and achieving his goal, as he depended, in his sermon, on the descending argumentative ladder where he started his sermon on the strongest argument, which is mentioning his attributes to prove his existence and distinction from others who preceded him in ruling. After that he moves to the weaker argument, then the more weaker one, until reaching the result he looked for to achieve by convincing the people of Iraq to go out to fight the Khawarij.

رصد البحث ظاهرة التراتبية السلّمية في خطبة الحجّاج بن يوسف الثقفي حين ولي على العراق، والتي شكلت جزءا من لغته الحجاجية، مسلطا الضوء على كيفية بناء الخطبة وفق متدرج من الأفكار والحجج. يكشف البحث عن استراتيجيات الحجاج في الانتقال من الترغيب الى الترهيب ومن الاقناع الى التهديد وما يعزز الأثر الخطابي ويحقق أهدافه السياسية والاجتماعية، والتدرج في الكلام أكثر ما يميز الخطاب الحجاجي ويجعل الحجج المقدمة بهذه التراتبية متجهة نحو النتيجة التي يراد الوصول اليها من أجل الإقناع والتأثير، ولقد نجح الحجّاج بن يوسف في ترتيب حججه في خطبته وتحقيق مبتغاه ،إذ اعتمد في خطبته على السلم الحجاجي التنازلي حيث بدأ خطبته بأقوى حجة وهي ذكر صفاته لإثبات وجوده وتميزه عن غيره ممن سبقه في الحكم وبعدها ينتقل الى الحجة الأضعف فالأضعف وصولا الى النتيجة التي رام في تحقيقها بإقناع أهل العراق بالخروج لمحاربة الخوارج.

Abstract

There is no doubt that not believing in an afterlife will lead to behaviors that are different from the lifestyle of those who believe in God and the Last Day. This intellectual difference leads to dividing people into different categories, including the followers of Epicurus, whose main concern was to make himself happy as much as possible and to spread love between himself and his followers whose philosophy was similar to his philosophy, which did not believe in resurrection and an afterlife. As a result, Epicurus was in constant pursuit of everything that would give him joy and free him from sadness and pain. The research dealt with the remarkable similarities between the philosophy of a group of poets of the pre-Islamic era and the Epicurean philosophy, focusing on revealing the manifestations of this philosophy in their poetry, which was manifested in raising the status of women and making them one of the causes of moral joy and sensual ecstasy that they cannot do without, and in venerating the status of wine and making it a ladder to happiness and psychological pleasure, and some poets revealing the pillars of their lives and the reasons for their adherence to life and their love of remaining in this world, which was manifested in making wine, women, manhood, and leading armies the most important components of their lives and their adornment. The poets of the Epicurean philosophy lived a life that was concerned with making the soul happy in the present time and ignoring the sorrows of the past and the fear of what would happen to them in the future.

ليس من شك في أنَّ عدم الإيمان بحياة ما بعد الموت سوف يؤدي إلى سلوكيات مغايرة لأسلوب حياة مَنْ يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر، وهذا التباين الفكري يؤدي إلى تقسيم الناس على شيع مختلفة، منها أتباع أبيقور الذي كان شغله الشاغل جمع شتات ثوب السعادة من أطرافه ونشر المحبة بينه وأتباعه الذين تتشاكل فلسفتهم وفلسفته التي لا تؤمن بالبعث وحياة ما بعد الموت؛ وتبعًا لذلك كان أبيقور في سعي دائم وراء كل ما يهبه الغبطة والحُبُور ويخلصه من الشجون والأوجاع.

Abstract

Shajari enthusiasm is considered one of the important sources of Arabic poetry throughout four eras (the pre-Islamic, the Islamic, the Umayyad, and a large part of the Abbasid era). In it, Ibn al-Shajari selected many texts for diverse purposes, in which he followed the example of Abu Tammam and al-Bukhuri, and did not differ greatly from their approaches, as he The number of its poets is three hundred and sixty-five, in addition to the unknown ones who were not named, and its compositions amounted to nine hundred and forty-four pieces.

Abstract

Dr. Munjed Mustafa is known for his valuable scientific efforts in research and study on Andalusian literature. It is no secret what methods and applications he adopted on Andalusian literature, whether poetry or prose, have been transmitted by critics and specialists in their studies. It was found that the doctor was interested in the context in which he emphasized the resonance and strength of the rhetorical images influenced by metaphor, metonymy, and simile that equated the literary texts between truth and metaphor. Munjed Bahjat made the connection between the rhetorical arts with each other a close connection that was not separated from other arts, but rather came linked to the linguistic styles that depend on the multiplicity of situations and contexts; therefore, he noticed that the rhetorical images have multiple meanings, with the multiplicity of situations and their purpose and the symbolic and suggestive meanings they carry. It requires linguistic capabilities to be able to produce the largest possible number of expressive means, through the use of constructive and imperative linguistic styles represented by the imperative, interrogative, and prohibitive styles; As it enables the production of a literature that is united in its aspects, integrated in its images and language. It is able to form an artistic form that is interconnected.

لقد عرف الدكتور منجد مصطفى بأنه صاحب الجهود العلمية القيمة التي بذلها بالبحث والدراسة حول الأدب الأندلسي، ولا يخفى ما اعتمده من أساليب وتطبيقات حول الأدب الأندلسي، شعرًا كان أم ونثرًا، وقد تناقلها النقاد والمختصين في طيات دراساتهم، وقد وجد أن الدكتور اهتم بالسياق الذي أكد به صدى وقوة الصور البيانية المتأثرة بالاستعارة، والكناية، والتشبيه التي استوت النصوص الأدبية بين الحقيقة والمجاز، وجعل منجد بهجت ارتباط الفنون البلاغية فيما بينها ارتباطًا وثيقًا لم تنفصل عن الفنون الأخرى، وإنما جاءت مرتبطة بالأساليب اللغوية التي تعتمد على تعدد المواقف والسياقات؛ لذلك لاحظ أن الصور البيانية تكون ذات دلالات متعددة، بتعدد المواقف ولمقصديه وما تحملها من دلالات رمزيه وإيحائية.
تحتاج الى إمكانيات لغوية، لتكون قادرة على إنتاج أكبر عدد ممكن من الوسائل التعبيرية، من خلال توظيف الأساليب اللغوية الإنشائية، والطلبية المتمثلة بأسلوب الأمر، والاستفهام، والنهي؛ إذ إنها تُمكن من إنتاج أدب متّحد الجوانب، متكامل الصور واللغة؛ إذ يتمكن من تشكيل فني مترابط الأطراف.

Rhetorical techniques are diverse and vary from one individual to another, from one situation to another, and across different circumstances. These rhetorical methods often evoke emotions, utilizing poetic imagery that includes explicit, figurative, and complex expressions. The pre-Islamic poet employed a variety of rhetorical techniques to convey his diverse emotions and fluctuating sentiments, simultaneously captivating and engaging the audience through these emotional shifts. Additionally, the poet crafted richly symbolic, aesthetic, and noble poetic images, shedding light on emotional and sentimental dimensions. The poet relied on rhetorical techniques through the use of beautiful and powerful compositions, delivering messages with profound meanings directed toward the audience. Such techniques include maintaining appropriate rhythm, soft vocal tones, and other methods that varied depending on the poet’s circumstances and experiences.

تُعد أساليب البلاغة متعددة، وتختلف من شخص لآخر، ومن موقف لآخر، ومن ظروف لآخر، وغيرها. وتشمل أساليب البلاغة التي تؤثر في المشاعر من مثل استعمال الصور الشعرية التي تتضمن هذه الصور الصّريحة والمجازية والمركبة، وقد لجأ الشاعر الجاهلي إلى استعمال عدد من الأساليب البلاغية للتعبير عن مشاعره المختلفة وانفعالاته المتباينة، وفي الوقت ذاته؛ إذ تثير هذه التقلبات والتغيرات في المشاعر إعجاب المتلقي واهتمامه. وغير ذلك من الصور الشعرية المفعمة بالرمزية والجمالية والنبيلة. كما يسلط الشاعر الضوء على الجانب الشعوري والوجداني. ووظف الشاعر الأساليب البلاغية معتمداً على التراكيب الجميلة والقوية، وذلك لما تتضمنها من رسائل تحمل جوانب معنوية موجّهة إلى المتلقي. ومن هذه الاساليب المحافظة على الإيقاع المناسب، والنبرة الصوتية الناعمة، وقد اختلفت تلك الاساليب المستخدمة من حالة إلى حالة اخرى تبعاً إلى المرحلة التي يعيشها الشاعر.

Abstract

The application of Islamic economics has often been marked by confusion, largely due to political changes and the difficulty of interpreting what is found in Islamic legal sources. In line with this trend, we chose a book that is not typically associated with economics, but rather with the study of rare language and hadith. This book, Majma' al-Bahrain wa Matla' al-Nayrayn by al-Turayhi (d. 1085 AH), contains various economic and financial reports. Our study focuses on a very important aspect of economics transactions due to their relevance to people's livelihoods and commerce. This motivated us to examine the economic and commercial information related to people's lives found in the book, as it has been of significant interest to the Islamic legal system due to the numerous economic laws and regulations it encompasses.

The ancient Iraqi civilization had a clear impact on various civilizations in the world, especially in the field of religion, as it was a major motive for these human civilizations and the main reason for accomplishing political, artistic, literary, intellectual and other tasks, as religion is the belief in the existence of an invisible higher power that controls the feelings, choices and actions related to humans. The images of the gods that the ancient Iraqis depicted in their decisions and discussions reflected the reality in their lives, as they looked at the gods with admiration, gratitude and hope to achieve their desires and considered them a role model in organizing their lives, so they worked to please the gods and avoid their anger. The gods resemble humans in all their qualities, from eating, drinking, and fornication. Still, they are distinguished from them by immortality, as the role of the gods was to interfere in their daily affairs, protect them from demons and evil spirits, and organize their lives in various aspects of life.

كان لحضارة العراق القديم التأثير الواضح على مختلف حضارات العالم وفي مجال الدين خصوصا, فقد كانت دافعاً رئيساً لهذه الحضارات الإنسانية, والسبب الأساسي في إنجاز المهام السياسية والفنية والأدبية والفكرية وغيرها؛ إذ إن الدين هو الاعتقاد بوجود قوة عليا غير مرئية تتحكم في المشاعر والاختيارات والأفعال المتعلقة بالبشر, وكانت صور الآلهة التي صورها العراقيون القدماء في اتخاذ قراراتهم ومناقشاتهم تعكس الواقع الموجود في حياتهم, فقد كانوا ينظرون إلى الآلهة بإعجاب وامتنان وأمل في تحقيق رغباتهم, واعتبروها مثلا أعلى في تنظيم حياتهم, فعملوا على إرضاء الآلهة وتجنب غضبها, فالآلهة تشبه البشر في كل صفاتهم من أكل وشرب ونكاح ولكنها تتميز عنهم بالخلود؛ إذ كان دور الآلهة أن تتدخل في شؤونهم اليومية وتحميهم من الشياطين والأرواح الشريرة, وتنظم حياتهم في شتى المجالات الحياتية المختلفة.

Abstract

Ports are of utmost importance to Libya, its economy and national security, as they work to develop cities and surrounding areas, roads and facilities that connect the port to the city. The research aims to demonstrate the role and importance of Barqa ports in African-European trade exchange, so it sheds light on the following axes: The first axis presented the historical and geographical framework of the Barqa region, while the second axis highlighted the definition of Barqa's ports and commercial cities, including the port of Benghazi, which is the second most important port in Libya after the port of Tripoli, the port of Tobruk and Derna, and its most important cities represented in the oases, including Awjila, Ajlo, and Kufra, and the most important commercial markets that played a major and prominent role in activating the movement of commercial ports through their traditional markets, as there were several types, including permanent markets, seasonal markets, and temporary markets. As for the third axis, it unveiled the most important African exports to Europe through its ports, especially ostrich feathers, slave trade, leather, elephant ivory, and other goods, as well as touching on the customs duties imposed by the Ottoman government on those goods.

Abstract

The research talks about the role of the state in supporting economic organizations in the period of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, which is an of the Islamic State in its early age. These organizations were primitive in their economic sense, and not all of its features were as clear as they are today, and they formed the economic theories that countries followed. At its various organizational levels, important economic theories were established in which the Dalwah sponsors those theories and applies them to reach the optimal economic situation in the country to secure its economies. However, in the early part of the life of the Islamic State, we see that the economic concept was based primarily on ideological legislation that took into account the economic level of the individual. Muslim and took it into consideration, so the main goal of these texts was to secure the people’s livelihood and ensure its security. These legislations were primitive in their concept, but they witnessed great expansion during the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, who sought to develop these texts and accommodate the change taking place in the entity of the state in terms of its expansion and the large number of people entering it, so there became an urgent need to regulate these financial institutions in a way that is commensurate with the state’s new situation, so The research seeks to trace that development and shed light on it.

يتحدث البحث عن دور الدولة في دعم التنظيمات الاقتصادية الإسلامية في فترة الخلفاء الراشدين (11-41هـ/632-660م)، وهي فترة مهمة في عمر الدولة المبكر، فقد كانت تلك التنظيمات بدائية بمفهومها الاقتصادي، ولم تكن كل معالمه واضحة، فأسست نظريات اقتصادية مهمة ترعى فيها الدولة تلك النظريات وتقوم بتطبيقها للوصول إلى الحالة الاقتصادية المثلى في البلد لتأمين اقتصادياته، ولكننا في الجانب المبكر من عمر الدولة الإسلامية نرى أن المفهوم الاقتصادي قد ارتكز بالدرجة الأساسية على تشريعات عقائدية بالدرجة الأساسية راعت المستوى الاقتصادي للفرد المسلم وأخذته بالحسبان، فكان الهدف الأساسي من تلك النصوص تأمين قوت الناس وضمان تأمينه. فكانت تلك التشريعات بدائية في مفهومها، لكنها شهدت توسعاً كبيراً في عهد الخلفاء الراشدين الذين سعوا إلى تطوير تلك النصوص واستيعاب التغير الحاصل في كيان الدولة من حيث توسعها وكثرة دخول الناس فيها، فصارت الحاجة ماسة لتنظيم تلك المؤسسات المالية بما يتناسب مع وضع الدولة الجديد؛ لذا فالبحث يبحث في تقفي ذلك التطور وتسليط الضوء عليه.

Abstract

Thunderstorms are an Atmospheric Ahenomenon that occurs as a result of instability in the atmosphere. The research aims to study the hourly weather conditions associated with the recurrence of thunderstorms in Iraq, as thunderstorms are accompanied by sudden weather fluctuations in the rates of (atmospheric pressure, wind speed, temperature, rain, and hail) The study was based on hourly recordings at meteorological stations from the beginning of the recurrence of thunderstorms during the fall, winter and spring seasons, and the study was carried out by relying on (8) stations (Mosul, Kirkuk, Rutba, Baghdad, Diwaniyah, Al-Hay, Nasiriyah and Basra) for the period (2013-2023). The total number of thunderstorms recurred during the study period was (1263) recurrences. The study revealed a variation in the weather elements accompanying the recurrence of thunderstorms during the months, according to the seasons, and according to the place. The average atmospheric pressure accompanying thunderstorms was (1010.3) millibars, and the average temperature accompanying thunderstorms was (22.6) °C. As for the wind speed, the wind speed accompanying them was recorded at a rate of (7.7) m/s. As for the frequency of rain and hail accompanying thunderstorms, it was (458, 241) for each.

العواصف الرعدية ظاهرة جوية تحدث نتيجة عدم الاستقرار في الغلاف الجوي , يهدف البحث الى دراسة الظروف الطقسيه الساعية المصاحبة لتكرار العواصف الرعدية في العراق , إذ يصاحب العواصف الرعدية حدوث تقلبات جوية مفاجئة في معدلات (الضغط الجوي وسرعة الرياح ودرجة الحرارة والأمطار والبرد ) فقد تم الاعتماد على التسجيلات الساعية في مَحطات الرصد الجوي من بدأية تَكرار العواصف الرعدية خلال فصل الخريف والشتاء والربيع , وتَمت الدراسة بالاعتماد على (8) مَحطات هي ( الموصل وكركوك والرطبة وبغداد و الديوانية والحي والناصرية والبصرة ) للمُدة (2013-2023) , بلغ مَجموع تَكرار العواصف الرعدية خلال مدة الدراسة (1263) تَكراراً , واتضح من خلال الدراسة وجود تباين في عناصر الطقس المصاحبة لتَكرار العواصف الرعدية خلال الأشهر وحسب الفصول وحسب المكان , بلغ معدل الضغط الجوي المصاحب للعواصف الرعدية (1010.3) مليبار, ومعدل درجات الحرارة المصاحب للعواصف الرعدية (22,6) مْ, وبالنسبة لسرع الرياح سُجلت سرعة رياح مصاحبة لها بمعدل(7,7) م/ثا, أما بالنسبة لتَكرار الأمطار والبرد المرافقة للعواصف الرعدية فبلغ ( 458, 241) لكل منهما.

Cities worldwide undergo residential mobility between their neighborhoods due to population growth and urban expansion. Therefore, residential mobility is considered one of the key factors driving economic, social, and spatial changes in urban areas, both at the individual and collective levels. Many researchers argue that such mobility significantly contributes to changes within residential areas, as frequent relocations impact population density, demographic composition, and patterns of commuting.
This study aims to examine the volume of residential mobility (whether between neighborhoods—represented by 24 residential neighborhoods in the city of Al-Hayy—or within the same neighborhood) and identify the main factors influencing it. Additionally, the study explores the demographic, social, and economic characteristics of the relocated population. It focuses on the reasons behind residential mobility, as these factors play a critical role in motivating residents to relocate.

Abstract

The oil industry holds significant importance in our lives due to its strategic role in fostering industrial development and supporting the national economy. Dhi Qar Governorate enjoys substantial economic importance, as it hosts oil fields and downstream industries, including refining and gas filling. Data for this study were obtained from governmental institutions within Dhi Qar Governorate, utilizing a descriptive methodology to describe the collected data and a statistical approach to analyze certain indicators.
The study aims to identify the main oil industries in the governorate, examine their spatial distribution, and analyze key indicators of their development. The findings reveal the presence of five productive oil fields: Nasiriyah, Gharraf, Siba, Rafidain, and Block 10, with a total of 131 wells. The refining industry is represented by a single refinery, the Dhi Qar Refinery, employing 382 workers.
Additionally, the governorate has 12 gas filling plants distributed unevenly across its districts, with varying production capacities. A deficit in gas cylinder production was identified, amounting to 3,876 cylinders, necessitating the establishment of an additional plant to meet this shortfall. While refining and gas filling industries are not highly localized in the governorate, they remain operational. تحتل الصناعة النفطية أهمية كبيرة في حياتنا؛ وذلك لأنها لها أثر استراتيجي مهم في تطوير التنمية الصناعية، كما أن لها أثرا مهما في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني، وتحظى محافظة ذي قار بأهمية اقتصادية كبيرة؛ لما تحتويه من حقول والصناعات التحويلية المتمثلة بصناعة التكرير وتعبئة الغاز, تم الحصول على البيانات من المؤسسات الحكومية التابعة لمحافظة ذي قار, وتم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي لوصف البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها, والمنهج الإحصائي في تفسير بعض المؤشرات, وتهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد أهم الصناعات النفطية في المحافظة, ودراسة توزعها المكاني, ودراسة بعض مؤشرات تطور هذه الصناعة.
بينت الدراسة وجود 5 حقول منتجة، وهي حقول الناصرية، الغراف، صبة، الرافدين، والرقعة العاشرة، وبلغ عدد الآبار 131 بئرا، وتتمثل صناعة التكرير بمصفاة واحدة هي مصفاة ذي قار، وبلغ عدد عمالها 382 عاملا.
كما يوجد في المحافظة 12 معملا لتعبئة الغاز موزعة بشكل متباين على أقضية المحافظة، وبطاقة إنتاجية مختلفة فيما بينها، وتبين وجود عجز في إنتاج أسطوانات الغاز، وهذا يتطلب وجود معمل إضافي لتغطية العجز والبالغ 3876، كما أن صناعة التكرير وتعبئة الغاز غير متوطنة بالنسبة للمحافظة، ولكنها قائمة، بينما تحظى الصناعة النفطية التحويلية بأهمية كبيرة، وتركز عال في المحافظة، أكثر منها بالنسبة للدولة.
بينت مؤشرات تطـور الصناعة النفطية في ذي قار أن عدد منشآت التكرير سيصل الى خمس منشآت، وعدد معامل تعبئة الغاز إلى 20 معملا.

Abstract

Education is one of the fundamental pillars of human development and, indeed, its core. It is therefore prioritized in the hierarchy of development objectives. As an outcome, education enhances the population’s capacity for innovation, progress, and active participation in production, investment, and the advancement of societal conditions, lifestyles, and living standards in response to emerging challenges. Given this significance, the present study examines the Education Index in Al-Kut District, the administrative center of Wasit Governorate, by analyzing all its educational institutions, from preschools to higher education, for the academic year 2023–2024. The study is structured into four sections, addressing the current state of the Education Index in Al-Kut, its measurement within the Human Development Report, the gross enrollment ratio across educational stages (primary, secondary, and higher education), adult literacy rates, and projections for the future of the Education Index in the district. The findings indicate that high population growth rates have contributed to disparities in human development indicators among administrative units within the district, including the Education Index. Consequently, variations are observed in both the Education Index and the Deprivation Index. The study concludes with a set of recommendations and proposals aimed at addressing the challenges and obstacles hindering human development progress in the district.

This study aims to develop a comprehensive plan for the utilization of waterfronts by optimizing land use and distribution while integrating natural, economic, and human resources. The objective is to maximize the potential of these areas and revitalize waterfront spaces to enhance their role in urban life.

The truth is that the free and democratic parliament is the pillar of the democratic system and one of its most clear determinants for its members in Iraq. The problem seems greater because of the parliamentary experience that went through two stages in the Republican era, the stage before 2003, when the House of Representatives was merely an official government institution that did not detract from directives and directives. The head of state, its legislation was merely the implementation and formulation of the government’s legislative program, while Al-Raqbi did not go beyond merely supporting and supporting the government and its president.
The importance of this study stems from the prominent position of the Speaker of Parliament in the Iraqi and Lebanese constitutions, especially those that entered into force in 2005 and the Lebanese Constitution of 1926, as he presides at the top of the pyramid of legislative and Lebanese authority. It gives broad powers in constitutions because some of them believe that this constitution favors legislative power over executive power, they feel it is necessary to restore the balance between these two powers.The research aimed to reveal knowledge of the concept of jurisdiction, executive authority, and the individual and shared powers of the Speaker of Parliament within the framework of the Iraqi and Lebanese constitutions. To achieve the research, the researcher identified in the first section the basic elements of the research, which are the research problem, its importance, its objectives, and the definition of its terminology. As for the second section, it dealt with the individual and joint powers of the Speaker of Parliament within the framework of the Iraqi and Lebanese constitutions, and concluded the research with a conclusion that included the results and recommendations of the research.

تنبع أهمية هذه الدراسة من المكانة البارزة لرئيس مجلس النواب في الدستورين العراقي واللبناني ، لا سيما تلك التي دخلت حيز التنفيذ عام 2005 والدستور اللبناني لعام 1926 ، إذ يترأس قمة هرم السلطة التشريعية واللبنانية. يمنح صلاحيات واسعة في الدساتير؛ لأن البعض منهم يعتقد أن هذا الدستور يفضل السلطة التشريعية على السلطة التنفيذية ، يشعرون أنه من الضروري إعادة التوازن بين هاتين السلطتين.

التوريق هو عملية مالية يتم فيها إصدار صكوك تحمل قيمة أصول تدر عائدا وتباع بعد ذلك إلى المستثمرين. يمكن أن يكون التوريق تحويل أقساط القروض طويلة الأجل إلى سندات وبيعها في سوق الأوراق المالية بهدف الحصول على قيمتها فور إصدارها, هذا يتيح للشركات المصدرة توفير سيولة تمكنها من التوسع في تقديم مزيد من القروض دون انتظار مواعيد سداد الأقساط، ودون تحميل ميزانيتها مصروفات تمويلية مثل الاقتراض البنكي.
تمثلت إشكالية البحث في القصور التشريعي في معالجة هذا النوع من الشركات فضلا عن وجود عدة تساؤلات يمكن إيرادها, أبرزها: مدى سماح البيئة العربية القانونية في تبني هذا النوع من الشركات؟ وهل يمكن العمل بها فعلا؟ وإنها تحتاج إلى معالجات تشريعية متعددة الجوانب.
لم يعالج المشرع العراقي هذا النوع من الشركات وهو ما يدعو إلى بيان أهم التشريعات المقارنة التي عالجت هذا النوع من الشركات وأبرزها المشرع المصري.

Abstract

A criminal judgment is typically issued against an employee accused of abusing their authority, particularly when such abuse constitutes a crime harmful to the public interest. However, exceptions may arise that lead to the suspension of the enforcement of such judgments, including general and special pardons. It is well-established that a general pardon may be granted to an Iraqi individual sentenced to death or other penalties, or subjected to measures restricting liberty, regardless of whether the judgment was issued in absentia or in person, or whether it has reached finality. This does not negate civil, disciplinary, or administrative liability.
There are also laws that stipulate the application of pardon provisions to both the original punishment and any associated supplementary or secondary penalties. This enables employees who have abused their authority and are covered by a pardon to return to their positions.
The research aims to explore the concept of judicial pardon and to clarify its implications for employees and its impact on administrative disputes. To achieve this, the researcher outlined the general concepts in the first section, while the second section examined the conditions of judicial pardon and its effects on administrative disputes. The study concludes with findings and recommendations.

وهنالك قوانين أخرى تنص على سريان قانون أحكام قانون العفو على العقوبة الأصلية وما يلحق بها من عقوبات تبعية وتكميلية ، وبذلك يستطيع الموظف المستغل لنفوذه الوظيفي الذي يشمله قانون العفو العودة إلى الوظيفة .
وقد هدف البحث الى الكشف عن مفهوم العفو القضائي, وكذلك تبيان العفو القضائي للموظف وأثره في المنازعات الإدارية .

Abstract

The research aims to identify the role of social media sites "Tik Tok" in digital advertising on a sample of TikTok users in Thi Qar Governorate, as well as to identify how advertisements affect the purchasing decisions of TikTok users and explore the factors that motivate them to interact with the brand. Thus, the survey approach was relied upon and the research tool represented by the questionnaire was used. Through this, a sample of respondents consisting of (100 respondents from Thi qar Governorate) was tested. Thus, the research reached the following results: The results showed that the majority of respondents, at a rate of (58%), were females, and the largest age group of the research sample was (18-24 years). This indicates that TikTok is very popular among young people, and that 46% of respondents prefer to cooperate with influencers. Thus, we conclude that influencers on TikTok have become new directors of digital advertisements, as they design content that attracts audiences more effectively than traditional advertisements, because their role goes beyond promoting services to become innovative content makers who determine market trends. These findings highlight that TikTok provides a powerful and effective platform for advertising, especially since it benefits from collaboration with influencers to create engaging and interactive creative content that increases audience engagement with brands.

يهدف البحث الى التعرف عن دور مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي "تيك توك" في الإعلان الرقمي على عينة من مستخدمي موقع تيك توك بمحافظة ذي قار ، وكذلك التعرف على كيفية تأثير الإعلانات على قرارات الشراء لدى مستخدمي موقع تيك توك واستكشاف العوامل التي تحفزها على التفاعل مع العلامة التجارية، وبذلك تم الاعتماد على المنهج المسحي والاستعانة بأداة البحث المتمثله بالاستبانة من خلال ذلك تم اختبار عينة من المبحوثين المتكونة من (100 مبحوث من أفراد محافظة ذي قار ) ، وبذلك توصل البحث الى النتائج الآتية : بينت النتائج أن غالبية المبحوثين وبنسبة (58% ) هم من الأناث وكانت الفئة العمرية الأكبر من عينة البحث هي من (18-24 سنة) وهذا يشير الى أن تيك توك يحظى بشعبية كبيرة بين الشباب ، وأن ما نسبته 46% من المبحوثين يفضلون التعاون مع المؤثرين؛ وبذلك نستنتج أن المؤثرين على موقع تيك توك أصبحوا مخرجين جددا للإعلانات الرقمية؛ إذ إنهم يصممون محتوى يجذب الجماهير وبشكل أكثر فعالية من للإعلانات التقليدية لأن دورهم يتجاوز الترويج عن الخدمات ليصبحوا صناع محتوى مبتكر يحدد اتجاهات السوق ، هذه الاستنتاجات تسلط الضوء على أن موقع تيك توك يوفر منصة قوية وفعالة للإعلانات وخاصة من أنه يستفيد من التعاون مع المؤثرين لخلق محتوى إبداعي جذاب وتفاعلي يزيد من ارتباط الجمهور بالعلامات التجارية.

Abstract

study aimed to identify the extent of youth reliance on Iraqi electronic newspapers and shaping their thinking towards sustainable development issues، through a field study on a deliberate sample of electronic newspaper followers consisting of (400) young Iraqis aged between 18 and 35 years. The study used media dependence theory.
Research results confirmed that the high rates of reliance on electronic newspapers with regard to sustainable development issues، and Al-Zaman newspaper came at the top of the newspapers that the researchers relied on. The most prominent motives for relying on electronic newspapers to know the news are entertainment، filling leisure time، and escaping from the daily routine. Energy issues came at the top of sustainable development issues that the study sample respondents are keen to follow in electronic newspapers. Regarding the nature of the impacts resulting from the reliance of Iraqi youth -the study sample- on news and information published in newspapers and websites، it was found that the most important impacts are behavioral impacts، then cognitive impacts، then emotional impacts. Results showed a moderate positive correlation between the degree of youth dependence on electronic newspapers to obtain information about the sustainable development goals and the motives for their use of Iraqi electronic newspapers. In addition، A direct and positive relationship was found between the degree of youth reliance on electronic newspapers to obtain information about sustainable development goals and the impacts resulting from their reliance on electronic newspapers (cognitive impacts - emotional impacts - behavioral impacts).

وتوصلت النتائج إلى زيادة معدلات الاعتماد على الصحـف الإلكترونيـة نحو التنمية المستدامة، وجاءت صحيفة الزمان في مقدمة صحف يعتمدها المبحوثون، ومن أبرز دوافع الاعتماد للشباب على الصحافة وخاصة الالكترونية في التسلية وشغل أوقات الفراغ والهروب من الروتين اليومي، وجاءت قضايا الطاقة في مقدمة الموضوعات التي يحرص مبحوثو العينة للدراسة على قراءتها بالصحافة الإلكترونية، بالنسبة لطبيعة التأثيرات الناتجة عن اعتماد شباب العراق على فنون الصحافة المنشورة في الصحافة والبوابات الإلكترونية تبين أن تأثيرات السلوك حلت في الأولويات، تليها التأثيرات المعرفية للمستوى الثاني، ثم تأثيرات وجدانية كمرتبة ثالثة، فيما وجودت علاقة ارتباطية متوسطة في درجة الاعتمادية للشباب على الإعلام الرقمى بالحصول على المعلومات حول أهداف التنمية المستدامة ودوافع استخدام المبحوثين لصحف العراق الإلكترونية فضلاً عن وجود العلاقة الارتباطية الطردية بين اعتماد الشباب على الصحافة الإلكترونية وذلك للوصول لمعلومات وأهداف التنمية؛ وبين تأثيرات ناجمة عن اعتمادهم على صحف إلكترونية لتأثيرات "معرفية، وجدانية، وسلوكية".

Abstract

This study analyzed the framing of economic issues in the online platform of the Iraqi newspaper Al-Sabah during the period from August 1 to November 1, 2024. Employing the analytical media survey method, the study utilized a content analysis form to monitor and analyze the published economic content. The research focused on economic issues, their framing, and the mechanisms of their coverage, with an emphasis on framing theory as the theoretical foundation.
The analysis revealed a clear focus on investment and development issues (23.7%), followed by topics on electronic payment and digital transformation (16.9%), and industry and foreign trade (14.7%). The newspaper primarily relied on government officials as information sources (43%), followed by economic experts (27.1%). News reports dominated the coverage (44.1%), with in-depth analyses accounting for 27.1%.
The coverage was characterized by reformative and developmental frames, emphasizing objectivity and comprehensiveness. It maintained a neutral tone in 47.9% of the articles, while 30.5% adopted a positive tone.

Abstract

تناولت الدراسة تحليل أطر المعالجة الصحفية للقضايا الاقتصادية في الموقع الإلكتروني لصحيفة الصباح العراقية خلال المدة من 1 أغسطس إلى 1 نوفمبر 2024. اعتمدت الدراسة على منهج المسح الإعلامي التحليلي، مستخدمة استمارة تحليل المضمون لرصد وتحليل المحتوى الاقتصادي المنشور. وركزت على دراسة القضايا الاقتصادية وأطر معالجتها وآليات تناولها، مع التركيز على نظرية تحليل الأطر الإعلامية كإطار نظري للدراسة.
كشف التحليل عن تركيز واضح على قضايا الاستثمار والتنمية بنسبة 23.7%، تلتها موضوعات الدفع الإلكتروني والتحول الرقمي بنسبة 16.9%، ثم الصناعة والتجارة الخارجية بنسبة 14.7%.
اعتمدت الصحيفة بشكل رئيس على المسؤولين الحكوميين كمصدر للمعلومات بنسبة 43%، يليهم الخبراء الاقتصاديون بنسبة 27.1%. وغلب الطابع الإخباري على التغطية بنسبة 44.1%، مع وجود تحليلات معمقة بنسبة 27.1%.
تصدرت الأطر الإصلاحية والتنموية التغطية، مع التركيز على الموضوعية والشمولية في المعالجة. واتسمت التغطية بالمحايدة بنسبة 47.9%، والإيجابية بنسبة 30.5%.

The Effectiveness of Influencer Marketing and the Level of Audience Engagement on Social Media: A Field Study

Abstract

The research problem focuses on examining the relationship between the effectiveness of influencer marketing and the level of audience engagement on social media. It addresses the observed variation in the impact of influencer marketing campaigns and their ability to establish sustainable relationships with the target audience.
The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of influencer marketing in building connections with the target audience, identify factors influencing purchasing decisions for advertised products, and explore the nature of audience interaction with content presented by influencers.
A descriptive-analytical approach was employed, utilizing an electronic questionnaire to collect data from a stratified random sample of 100 social media users in Iraq, aged 18–45.
Key findings include:
•The age group 20–30 years constituted the largest proportion of users at 42%.
•Instagram emerged as the most used platform (38.1%), followed by TikTok (30%).
•Entertainment and leisure were identified as the primary motives for following influencers, with a mean score of 3.86.
•86% of participants reported making purchases based on influencer recommendations, with 62.7% describing their experiences as positive.
•Analysis revealed a strong correlation between trust levels and repeat purchases, with independent variables explaining 48.2% of the variance in purchasing behavior.Credibility and honesty were highlighted as the most important audience expectations (38.8%).

تمثلت مشكلة البحث في دراسة العلاقة بين فعالية التسويق عبر المؤثرين ومستوى العلاقة مع الجمهور في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، فقد تم ملاحظة تباين في مستوى تأثير حملات التسويق عبر المؤثرين وقدرتها على بناء علاقات مستدامة مع الجمهور المستهدف.
استهدف البحث التعرف على مدى فاعلية التسويق عبر المؤثرين في بناء علاقات مع الجمهور المستهدف، وتحديد العوامل المؤثرة على قرارات الشراء للمنتجات المعلن عنها، والكشف عن طبيعة تفاعل الجمهور مع المحتوى المقدم من المؤثرين.
اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، مستخدماً أداة الاستبانة الإلكتروني لجمع البيانات من عينة عشوائية طبقية مكونة من 100 مفردة من مستخدمي منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في العراق ممن تتراوح أعمارهم بين 18-45 سنة.
وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج أبرزها:
- شكلت الفئة العمرية (20-30 سنة) النسبة الأكبر من المستخدمين بواقع 42%
- تصدر إنستغرام المنصات الأكثر استخداماً بنسبة 38.1%، يليه تيك توك بنسبة 30%
- برز الترفيه والتسلية كأهم دوافع المتابعة بمتوسط حسابي 3.86
- قام 86% من المشاركين بالشراء بناءً على توصيات المؤثرين، منهم 62.7% كانت تجربتهم إيجابية.
- كشف التحليل عن علاقة قوية بين مستوى الثقة وتكرار الشراء، فقد فسرت المتغيرات المستقلة 48.2% من التباين في سلوك الشراء
- برزت المصداقية والأمانة كأهم تطلعات المتابعين بنسبة 38.8%

Abstract

The research seeks to know the effects of digital social engineering on the dimensions of the value system of society, and to identify statistically significant differences in the items of the scale of the effects of digital social engineering on the dimensions of the value system of society according to the variables of gender, age, and academic achievement of the respondents. This research is considered one of the descriptive and analytical research that relied on Using the social survey method using a purposive sampling method for (400) respondents, and a simple random sample in distributing the questionnaire electronically in order to obtain integrated responses to the items of the scale prepared by the researcher according to six dimensions of the value system and with (24) items, as the items of the scale were subjected to statistical tests. In order to ensure the integrity and suitability of the items to measure what they were prepared for, the research reached several results, including: Digital social engineering has more positive effects on the value system, according to the responses of the sample members, than its negative effects, especially since the positive items of the questionnaire appeared in the higher ranks of responses, as it was found. The study showed that there were statistically significant differences for most of the scale’s items according to the variables of gender, age, and academic achievement of the respondents.

يسعى البحث لمعرفة تأثيرات الهندسة الاجتماعية الرقمية على أبعاد المنظومة القيمية للمجتمع، والتعرف على الفروق المعنوية ذات الدلالة الإحصائية في فقرات مقياس تأثيرات الهندسة الاجتماعية الرقمية على أبعاد المنظومة القيمية للمجتمع بحسبِ مُتغيرات الجنس والعمر والتحصيل الدراسي للمبحوثين، ويُعد هذا البحث من البحوث الوصفية التحليلية التي عمدت إلى استخدام منهج المسح الاجتماعي بطريقةِ العينة القصدية لـ(400) مبحوثٍ، والعينة العشوائية البسيطة في توزيعِ الاستمارة بنحوٍ الكتروني بُغية الحصول على استجابات مُتكاملة عن فقرات المقياس الذي أعده الباحث وفقَ ست أبعاد للمنظومة القيمية وبواقعِ(24) فقرة، إذ تم إخضاع فقرات المقياس للاختبارات الإحصائية بُغية التأكد من سلامة ومُلاءمة الفقرات لقياس ما أُعدت من أجلهِ، وقد توصل البحث لعدةِ نتائج منها: إن للهندسة الاجتماعية الرقمية تأثيرات إيجابية على المنظومة القيمية بحسبِ استجابات أفراد العينة أكثر من تأثيراتها السلبية لاسيما أن نتائجَ الفقرات الإيجابية للاستمارة قد ظهرت بالمراتب العُليا من الاستجابات، كما توصل البحث إلى وجودِ فروق معنوية ذات دلالة إحصائية لأغلبِ فقرات المقياس بحسبِ مُتغيرات الجنس والعمر والتحصيل الدراسي للمبحوثين.

Abstract

The current research aims to identify visual thinking and visual learning and the relationship between them among primary school teachers, and to identify statistically significant differences according to the gender variable (males - females). The research sample consisted of (250) male and female teachers from primary schools in the Shatra District Education Department in DheQar Governorate for the academic year (2022-2023) for morning studi, with (125) males and (125) females, chosen by the equal stratified random method. The researcher adapted the (Al-Badri, 2015) scale to measure the concept of visual thinking on the research sample. The visual thinking scale consists of (35) paragraphs, and the visual learning scale consists of (30) paragraphs. The five-point Likert scale was adopted by placing (5) alternatives for the answer, which are (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never). Validity and reliability were also calculated. For paragraphs, the researcher used statistical methods that were calculated by the automated computer program (SPSS): Chi-square test (Ka2), T-test for one sample, T-test for two independent samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, Alpha-Cronbach equation for internal consistency, simple regression analysis, and the most prominent results were as follows: The research sample has visual thinking, there are statistically significant differences between (males - females), and in favor of males in visual thinking, the research sample has visual education, there are no statistically significant differences between (males and females) in visual thinking, there is a positive correlation relationship with a good degree between the research variables (visual thinking and visual learning).

يهدف البحث الحالي للتعرف على التعلم المرئي والتفكير البصري والعلاقة بينهما لدى معلمي المدارس الابتدائية، وللتعرف على الفرق ذي الدلالة الإحصائية تبعا لمتغير الجنسِ (ذكور- إناث)، تكونت عـينـة الـبحث من (250) معلما ومعلمة من المدارس الابتدائية في قسم تربية قضاء الشطرة بمحافظة ذي قار للعام الدراسي (2022–2023) للدراسة الصباحية، بواقع (125) ذكرا و(125) أنثى، اختيروا بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية المتساوية، قام الباحث ببناء مقياس التعلم المرئي الذي يتكون من (30) فقرة، وكذلك تكييف مقياس (البديري، 2015) لقياس لتفكير البصري على عينة البحث، ‌وتكون مقياس التفكير البصري من (35) فقرة، وقد تم تبني تدرج ليكرت الخماسي بوضع (5) بدائل للإجابة وهي (دائما، غالبا، أحيانا، نادرا، أبدا)، كما تم حساب الصدق والثبات للفقرات، واستعمل الباحث الوسائل الإحصائية التي حسبت بواسطة برنامج الحاسوب الآلي (SPSS) هي: اختبار (كا2) مربع كاي، الاختبار التائي لعينة واحدة، الاختبار التائي T-Test لعينتين مستقلتين، معامل ارتباط بيرسون، معادلة ألفا- كرونباخ للاتساق الداخلي، تحليل الانحدار البسيط، وكانت أبرز النتائج كما يأتي: إن عينة البحث لديهم تفكير بصري، توجد فروق ذات دلاله إحصائية بين (ذكور- إناث)، ولصالح الذكور في التفكير البصري، إن عينة البحث لديهم تعليم مرئي، عدم إيجاد فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين (ذكور وإناث) في التفكير المرئي، وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية دالة بدرجة جيدة بين متغيرات البحث (التعلم المرئي والتفكير البصري).

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of corporate governance in mitigating the phenomenon of audit opinion shopping in the Kurdistan Region. To achieve this goal, two main hypotheses were adopted to test the relationship and impact between the study variables. The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, using fieldwork to collect data, and applied simple regression analysis and path analysis through (SPSS.20) on data obtained from 42 questionnaires. These questionnaires were collected from a sample of external auditors working in auditing firms and offices operating in the Kurdistan Region to test the study’s hypotheses. The study reached several findings, most notably the existence of a strong, statistically significant correlation between corporate governance and audit opinion shopping in the Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, the results demonstrated a significant effect of corporate governance in limiting the phenomenon of audit opinion shopping. On the light of findings, the study presented several recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity for supervisory and regulatory bodies to establish rules and procedures for monitoring the audit quality of audit firms operating in the region to reduce audit opinion shopping. Additionally, it suggested imposing strict penalties on firms violating these regulations, with continuous follow-up on the enforcement of such penalties by the Kurdistan Association of Accountants and Auditors.

يهدف البحث إلى بيان أثر حوكمة الشركات في الحد من ظاهرة تسوق رأي المدقق الخارجي في بيئة إقليم كوردستان، وبغرض تحقيق هدف البحث تم تبني فرضيتين رئيسيتن لاختبار العلاقة والتأثير بين متغيرات البحث، وقد اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال الاسلوب الميداني لتجميع البيانات وعن طريق تحليل الانحدار البسيط وتحليل المسار وباستخدام برامج SPSS20 لبيانات (42) استمارة استبانة تم الحصول عليها من عينة البحث المكونة من مدققي الحسابات الخارجيين في مكاتب وشركات التدقيق العاملة في بيئة إقليم كوردستان؛ وذلك لاختبار فرضيات البحث. وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج كان أبرزها: وجود علاقة ارتباط قوية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين حوكمة الشركات وظاهرة تسوق رأي المدقق الخارجي في بيئة إقليم كوردستان، كما أثبتت النتائج وجود تأثير ذي دلالة معنوية لحوكمة الشركات في الحد من ظاهرة تسوق رأي المدقق الخارجي. وقد قدم البحث عددا من المقترحات كانت أبرزها: ضرورة أن تقوم الجهات الإشرافية والمنظمة للمهنة بوضع قواعد وإجراءات متعلقة بمراقبة جودة التدقيق لمكاتب التدقيق العاملة في الإقليم للحد من ظاهرة تسوق رأي المدقق الخارجي، فضلاً عن وضع عقوبات صارمة على المكاتب المخالفة لتلك التشريعات والقوانين، وأن تكون هناك متابعة لتنفيذ تلك العقوبات من قبل الجمعية العلمية لمراقبي الحسابات في الإقليم.

يتنأول البحث الرؤية التشكيلية في صناعة ( الإنيميشن) إذ يتأتى التشكيل الصوري من خلال الأبعاد التشكيلية بين المحاكاة والواقعية والخيال والتقنية المعرفية التي تولد عوامل قياسية في بناء مجموعة الأجزاء التي تدخل في تكوين كلي تتدرج منه بنية تركيبية لتلك الرسوم ، وما لها من انعكاس وأثر في تغيير مسارات التفكير عند الأفراد والمجتمع على وفق شكلية ودلالية وكذلك جمالية وما تفرزه وظيفيا من معرفة فكرية وآلية صناعتها بين الحقيقي والمستنسخ؛ إذ يهدف البحث الى كشف متحققات التشكيل الصوري من خلال بنية التركيب للإنيميشن والفارق بينه وبين الرسوم المتحركة ، وقد قسم البحث على خمسة فصول ، الفصل الأول تنأول مشكلة البحث وأهميته وأهدافه ، وحددت المصطلحات من خلال الحد الموضوعي لأفلام الإنيميشن والحد المكاني في العراق من عام (2017- 2023) وحددت مصطلحات (الإنيميشن ) وكل ما يحيط به ، أما الفصل الثاني فكان الإطار النظري في مبحثين ، الأول مدخل الى مفهوم الإنيميشن ، والثاني تنأول ملامح بنائية الرؤية لفن الإنيميشن ، وكان الفصل الثالث لمنهج البحث : تنأولت فيه منهج البحث ومجتمعه فضلا عن العينات وتحليلها، ثم خرج الفصل الرابع بالنتائج والاستنتاجات فضلا عن التوصيات والمقترحات ، بعد ذلك كانت قائمة بالمصادر التي أطرت البحث .

Abstract

The unprecedented popularity of the After series by Anna Todd has prompted a space for conversations surrounding popular contemporary romance fiction for young adults and the factors guaranteeing its success. This research paper sets out to explore how the popularity of After must ring certain alarm bells for the contemporary feminist discourse since it directly undermines everything that the feminists criticize when it comes to representations of women by male authors. The analysis section reveals how despite being a woman herself, Todd has penned her novel from an internalized male gaze that divests the female protagonist Tessa of any agency and reduces her to the position of spectacle for the male character’s masochistic fantasy. In doing so, Tessa unwittingly and self-detrimentally adopts the role of “the three women” that Giles Deleuze speaks of in his seminal text on masochism. The paper affirms the need for a criticism of the internalized male gaze amongst women authors in contemporary feminist discourse to combat such derogatory representations of women and promote more nuanced and agential portrayal of women in future contemporary romance literature.

Abstract

Anthropomorphism is giving human qualities and characteristics to non-humans, whether they are animals or plants, as in children’s stories. Because animals play an essential role in literature, this study examines the social and political aspects of anthropomorphism in The Jungle Book. Using animals in their real environment to represent stories directed at specific groups of people, instead of using humans to represent them, inevitably has great reasons and importance. Anthropomorphism gave these animals in stories abilities and characteristics related only to humans, including the ability to speak and other human qualities such as empathy, hatred, and friendship, as in the novel The Jungle Book. Enabling non-humans to speak, for example, opens new horizons for children and adults alike to learn about the behaviors and lifestyles of animals in their real environments and their relationships with other animals and humans alike. It also enables adults to obtain a broader and more comprehensive understanding of the writer’s messages about human societies, their types, behaviors, and political orientations by representing them in the form of animal groups. The study uses an objective approach by adapting the views of Adam Weitz and other theorists to analyze these aspects. The study concluded that giving human characteristics to non-humans, especially in literature, enables the writer to instill moral and cultural values and customs in the hearts of children by making the characters their beloved animals. On the other hand, anthropomorphism allows drawing a picture in children's minds of human behaviors and feelings such as love, hate, love of power, and establishing friendships by embodying them with talking animals. Last but not least, anthropomorphism gives the writer a real opportunity to avoid directly presenting controversial and critical topics and representing them with non-human characters.

Abstract

The research includes a literary analysis of the novel Wuthering Heights by the English writer Emily Bronte, where the details and various human feelings, difficulties and conflicts that the characters went through. In this story, the author narrates, a mix of reality and imagination for the characters from the arrival of Heathcliff until his death in Wuthering Heights. The characters witnessed all the horrors, slavery and its suffering, as the novel presented the lives of the characters from childhood until adulthood and then death, since Heathcliff’s arrival from Liverpool and his relationship with Catherine and Hindley, then moving on to the events of the love relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine, and her decision to marry Edgar Linton to help Heathcliff to obtain freedom, as well as the lives of the characters of the second generation. This novel presents an extraordinary fate of Heathcliff and Catherine, who were in turn prisoners of an imperfect relationship between an adopted person and a girl from an aristocratic family. This study aims to analyze Emily Brontë's characters. The research deals with the different narrative stages in the novel. The research also focused on dealing with the phenomenon of mandatory, will, and freedom that Bronte dealt with, taking into account the opinions of Hegel and Sartre.

The Flouting and Violating of Cooperative Principle in Miller’s “Death of a Salesman”

Abstract

This study presents a pragmatic analysis of Arthur Miller’s play “Death of a Salesman”. The study sheds light on Grice’s “Cooperative Principle”, its four maxims namely (Quality, Quantity, Relation, and Manner), and the violation and ﬂouting of them. The reason behind selecting this play is that in this play, the writer criticizes the idea of capitalism in American society. Miller shows that American people are victims of capital society and its values. Consequently, the hero of the play, Willy Loman is always depicted living in his imagination and dreams far away from reality which makes him flout and violate the maxims of the Cooperative Principle. The study aims to know how the maxims of the Cooperative Principle are flouted and violated by the main characters of the play and which is mostly flouted and violated. A qualitative method has been used to analyze the speech of the main characters to get the aim of the study. After analyzing 15 selected quotations from the play, it has been concluded that the hero violates and flouts the four maxims in a very obvious way. The maxim of relation is the most one which is flouted and violated because of the hero, Willy Loman, is seen talking about irrelevant matters and issues because he lives in his illusions.

Abstract

This article investigates the framing, and narrative strategies employed by BBC, and CNN in their coverage of the Gaza and Ukraine conflicts, focusing on terminology, tone, and framing. Based on a qualitative content analysis of 12 articles, published between October 2023, and October 2024, the research uncovers, significant disparities in how these conflicts are portrayed. While Ukrainian fighters, are consistently framed as \"defenders\" engaged in a justifiable struggle for sovereignty, Palestinian fighters, are often described using mixed or negative terminology, highlighting their association with violence or humanitarian crises. Coverage of Gaza, emphasizes large-scale civilian victimization, and humanitarian crises, with critical framing of Israeli military actions. In contrast, Ukraine coverage highlights resilience, and legitimate defense against Russian aggression, with detailed casualty reporting and an emphasis on geopolitical threats. These findings, reveal inherent double standards, and geopolitical biases in Western media coverage, offering critical insights for journalists, and policymakers seeking to foster balanced, and ethical reporting of international conflicts.

A Cognitive Analysis of The Israeli Narratives of Victimization in Gaza Wars

Abstract

Victimization narratives are a significant factor in the Gaza war. Israel, with all military power, shows itself as a victim in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Fake Stories, whether intentionally created or inadvertently spread, can significantly impact international public opinion. They affects policy decisions, influence public support, and contribute to the perpetuation of the conflict. The researcher employs a cognitive model in a mixed method to analyze ten Israeli narratives that were presented in media reports, TV stations, and social platforms during the period from 6 June 2017 to 15 February 2024. Recognizing the cognitive semantics of victimization narratives helps observers determine reporters' goals and reduces potential adverse effects. The use of qualitative and quantitative analysis has found that the Israeli victimization narrative has specific aspects of cognitive semantics following Lakoff & Johnson's conceptual metaphor theory (1980) and Kövecses (2020). It also has found that Israel gained different goals throughout the victimization narratives; the most frequent goals are to shape public opinion, attain emotional response, justify the war against Gaza, Enhance Jewish identity, marginalize Palestine, and prejudice Hamas

تشكل سرديات الاعتداء عاملاً مهمًا في حرب غزة. تعرض إسرائيل، بكل قوتها العسكرية نفسها ضحية في الصراع الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني. إن القصص الزائفة، سواء نُشرت عمدًا أو انتشرت عن غير قصد، يمكن أن تؤثر بشكل كبير على الرأي العام العالمي، وتؤثر على قرارات السياسات، وتسهم في استدامة الصراع. تعتمد هذه الدراسة على نموذج معرفي في تحليل مختلط، إذ قامت بتحليل عشر سرديات إسرائيلية وردت في التقارير الإعلامية، والبرامج التلفزيونية، ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي خلال المدة من 6 يونيو 2017 إلى 15 فبراير 2024. يكشف فهم دلالات سرديات الاعتداء المعرفية عن أهداف المراسلين, ويسهم في تقليل الآثار السلبية المحتملة. وجد التحليل النوعي والكمي أن سرديات الاعتداء الإسرائيلية تظهر جوانب دلالية معرفية محددة، وفقًا لنظرية الاستعارة المفاهيمية لكل من لاكوف وجونسون (1980) وكوفيجز (2020). كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن إسرائيل حققت أهدافًا متعددة من خلال سرديات الاعتداء ، من أبرزها تشكيل الرأي العام، والحصول على استجابة عاطفية، وتبرير الحرب ضد غزة، وتعزيز الهوية اليهودية، وتهميش فلسطين، وإثارة العداء تجاه حماس.

Abstract

One of the most effective nonverbal communication tools is body language, which can disclose a person's innermost sentiments and ideas. Body language is a vital technique for understanding human communication since it can reveal concealed emotions. By studying gestures, an individual can gain insights into real impulses and emotions. Sigmund Freud famously referred to body language as "Freudian slips", where unconsciousness influences body movements, exposing latent ideas and emotions towards someone or something. With the ability to read body language, individuals can uncover an individual's true awareness and intentions. Most human communication, according to researchers, heavily relies on gestures, positions, and distances to reveal the covert thoughts. This suggests that a person can use body language analysis as a scientific way to understand and influence the innermost thoughts of others and, in turn, their own. In her collection of short tales Trash, Dorothy Allison employs body language to reveal the innermost thoughts and sentiments of her characters towards objects and people. She conveys the stories behind the story she tells.

The Influence of AI on Improving Translation Skills: A Survey Study

Abstract

In the development of the digital world, translation is considered an integral part of communication among nations and cultures. This study aims to shed light on the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on improving and enhancing the skills of the 4th-year students in the Department of Translation. It seeks to analyze how AI-powered translation software, such as Google Translate, DeepL, Microsoft Translator, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc., enhances linguistic proficiency and ability to translate texts accurately and effectively. The descriptive analytical approach is adopted by using a questionnaire distributed to a sample of fourth-year students in the Department of Translation/University of Basrah. Likert scale is employed to evaluate students' responses regarding the efficacy of modern technologies in improving their skills. The study focuses on several aspects, including methods for searching vocabulary, translation accuracy, and the challenges students face in using AI applications. The results indicate that there is a tangible improvement in some aspects of translation when using AI applications. However, there are still challenges related to accuracy and cultural context. In addition, integrating traditional education with modern technologies plays a major role in enhancing students’ capabilities and developing their translation skills.

تُعد الترجمة جزءا لا يتجزأ من التواصل بين الأمم والثقافات خاصة في ظل تطور العالم الرقمي اليوم. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على تأثير الذكاء الاصطناعي (AI) في تحسين وتعزيز مهارات طلبة السنة الرابعة في قسم الترجمة. تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل كيفية تعزيز البرمجيات المعتمدة على الذكاء الاصطناعي، مثل Google Translate وDeepL وMicrosoft Translator وGemini و ChatGPT شائعة الاستخدام حاليا، للكفاءة اللغوية والقدرة على ترجمة النصوص بدقة وفعالية. تم تبني المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال استخدام استبانة تم توزيعها على عينة من طلبة السنة الرابعة في قسم الترجمة/جامعة البصرة. تم استخدام مقياس ليكرت لتقييم استجابات الطلبة بشأن فعالية التقنيات الحديثة في تحسين مهاراتهم. كما ركزت الدراسة على عدة جوانب منها أساليب البحث عن المفردات، ودقة الترجمة، والتحديات التي يواجهها الطلبة عند استخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي. أشارت النتائج إلى وجود تحسن ملموس في بعض جوانب الترجمة عند استخدام تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي، إلا أن هناك تحديات ما زالت قائمة تتعلق بالدقة والسياق الثقافي. فضلا أن لدمج التعليم التقليدي مع التقنيات الحديثة أثرا كبيرا في تعزيز قدرات الطلبة وتطوير مهاراتهم في الترجمة.

A Pragmatic Analysis of Emotional Blackmail in the American Movie No One Would Tell (2018)

Abstract

Emotional blackmail is generally defined as manipulating others' emotions for personal gain. It is a type of manipulation that damages healthy relationships among people and turns them into toxic relations leaving the victim in a state of depression and under stress of losing something s/he holds dear. This study aims to identify the pragmatic techniques of emotional blackmail used by both blackmailers and victims in "No One Would Tell" (2018). To do so, the researchers developed an eclectic model comprising Forward and Frazier's (1997) emotional blackmail, Searle’s speech acts (1979), Brown and Levinson’s politeness strategies (1987), Culpeper’s impoliteness strategies (1996, 2005), and Mayfield's taxonomy of fallacy (2007). A qualitative approach is followed in the analysis of the data by focusing on the pragmatic strategies used in the discourse of emotional blackmailers. The findings of the study show that the type of blackmailer identified is the punisher and the type of victim is the anger-avoider. The analysis also shows that punisher blackmailers tend to be impolite, use directive speech acts, and rely on fallacy strategies to justify their position in their arguments. On the other hand, the victims' speech reflects a high degree of politeness strategies to avoid confrontations with blackmailers. The victims tend to use representative speech acts more commonly without employing impoliteness strategies.

Deconstructing the Ideological Frame of President Vladimir Putin’s Rhetoric: A Socio-Cognitive Analysis

Abstract

This paper investigates the world of politics, focusing on the ideological frames that President Vladimir Putin used in his exclusive interview on NBC News in December 2024. The paper aims to explore Putin’s framing of Russia's political agenda and policies and investigate the strategies he employs to deconstruct his ideological frames. The data is limited to the transcript of President Vladimir Putin’s interview with the host Keir Simmons on NBC News in which three extracts are analyzed. The analysis is carried out through the qualitative content analysis approach based on an eclectic model including Van Dijk’s (2006) Socio-Cognitive Theory, Fairclough's (1995) Three-dimensional model of discourse, and Goffman’s (1974) Frame Theory. The paper concluded that President Vladimir Putin uses “Us” versus “Them” as a cognitive framing tool to justify his foreign and domestic policies. Moreover, he positions Russia as a stabilizing actor rejecting interference and calls for legality, reasonableness, and cooperation highlighting mutual benefit dialogues and compromise among countries.

The Role of Women’s Education in Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Emile

Abstract

This paper examines Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s novel Emile (1763), which provided an ideal system of women’s education in France and Europe. Shortly after its publication, Emile was banned partly because of its political and religious contents and partly due to its controversial ideas on women and their status in male-dominated societies. This paper questions Rousseau’s philosophy of the perfect educational system intended to form a blueprint for envisioning a better future for both men and women. I contend that ‘the ideal’ women’s education, as the book describes it, fails to place the female anywhere other than being a wife or a mother, creating a gender-biased ideal society where intellectual endeavors, particularly for women, are considered trivial or even inappropriate. As the research proceeds, it shows how the female protagonist’s right to education underlines another agenda to fulfill her duties toward the male character, regarding women’s intellectual aspirations as inconsistent with conventional social norms.

Abstract

This research aims at exploring the theme of time and existential agony in Thomas Stearns Eliot’s (1888-1965) Ash Wednesday (1930). It highlights how Ash Wednesday marks Eliot's deep examination of both time and mortality, uncovering the deep aspects of his existential reflections. Through placing this poem within a broader literary and spiritual perspective, this research illustrates Eliot’s "chromophobia" fears and meditations on progress in age, loss, and spiritual ascent; not only does it mirror his personal struggles but also engage with philosophical questions about existence and the mortal condition. Therefore, this study contributes to understanding Eliot's poetic career and highlighting how it deals with time that informs his pursuit for meaning and improvement in a fragmented world.

Exploring Cultural and Personal Trauma in Heather Raffo’s Play Noura

Abstract

The paper delves into the examination of trauma portrayals in Heather Raffo's “Noura” (2019). Raffo examines the challenges faced by two Iraqi women, Raffo and Maryam, in relation to parenthood following the capture of Iraq by “ISIS”. The paper is concerned with the various depictions of trauma that Raffo accomplishes in the text then delves in the way she cocooned her characters’ identity in order to recover their traumas. Initially, Noura is a trauma tale, illustrating the recurrent and repetitive nature of trauma from mother to daughter. The narrative reflects the interactions and dynamics between the mother and daughter and their function as substitutes for memory and recounting personal narratives. Moreover, examining the capture of Mosul by “ISIS” highlights Noura's account as a portrayal of historical trauma. Subsequently, Noura is analyzed via the lens of cultural trauma, shedding light on the several personas that Raffo adopts throughout the story. As each character has their own unique perspective on how the fall of Iraq affected their life, Raffo has used a variety of identities to show how trauma can take many forms depending on cultural context. The personal anguish portrayed by Raffo, as well as her own connection to both Iraqi and American identity, which is explored through the main character and the storyline, is also revealed. This analysis sheds light on the experiences of Iraqi women in America, highlighting how their cultural affinity with these stories serves as a catalyst for creative expression.

Abstract

Popular fiction is a mass-market genre with a commercial focus that focuses on re-contextualised relationships, love, pride, prejudice, and profound meanings to probe for human experiences reflected through characters and their small gestures. The current study investigates ten extracts taken from two collections of popular fictions; 'The Darcy Monologues' edited by Boyd and (اشياء صغيرة/ The Little Things) written by Samira Azzam. Using Aristotelian appeals (ethos, pathos, logos) and Gee’s (2017) discourse tools, the research explores emotional vulnerability and societal expectations portrayed in each text. Thus, the key questions of the study are: How do popular stories represent diverse cultural identities and ideologies? How can dramatic monologues and relatable human feelings and experiences, especially when viewed through the prism of cultural identities and ideologies, reflect and question power dynamics? How do the selected texts employ Aristotelian appeals to convey their messages? How do the primary tools of Paul Gee's discourse analysis model and Aristotelian appeals reveal the construction of personal narrative and social commentary in the selected stories? The study concludes that analyzing texts from different linguistic and cultural contents enriches the readers’ understanding of universal human experiences, particularly love, self-perception, and societal pressures. This study also demonstrates the value of integrating discourse analysis tools with rhetorical appeals in linguistic and literary studies.

A Semiotic Analysis of Numbers in the Holy Quran

Abstract

This study conducts a semiotic exploration of four numbers in the Holy Quran, aiming to deepen the understanding of the divine messages within its texts. Unlike previous studies, which have mainly focused on the mathematical or linguistic dimensions of Quranic numbers, this research addresses their semiotic meanings. Specifically, it analyzes the numbers: one, seven, ten, and one thousand, to uncover their symbolic significance. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the study gathers, analyzes, and interprets data, supported by a statistical table to clarify and validate the results. The theoretical foundation is rooted in Charles Peirce's (1939) TRIADIC model of semiotics, providing a framework for interpreting these symbols. The findings indicate that each number is closely associated with themes of divine justice and oversight, extending beyond their literal value to convey deeper moral and existential meanings. This approach sheds light on how Quranic numerology offers insights beyond numerical and linguistic interpretations.

A Critical Discourse Analysis of Power, Agency, and Resistance in Malcolm X's Speech The Ballot or the Bullet

Abstract

This paper critically analyzes Malcolm X's The Ballot or the Bullet from a CDA perspective to examine how power, agency, and resistance are constructed in the sociopolitical context of America in the 1960s. Guided by Fairclough's analytical framework to CDA, this study explores linguistic features, discursive practices, and social practices to illustrate the way Malcolm X criticizes the system of oppression, furthers Black Nationalism, and places African American struggles within global anti-colonial movements. The findings reveal Malcolm X's mastery in deploying rhetorical strategies to mobilize marginalized communities and to redefine the civil rights movement as part of the larger human rights struggle. Contributions to the variegated strands of CDA and to rhetorical studies are made by this research since the orientations of Malcolm X's discourse are put into use even today in struggles for justice and equality.
