Great importance of communication in our lives at all levels, including
the press as one of the communication to the press a variety of roles and
functions, and function of journalism is to help individuals and to facilitate
them in order to escape from the tension and alienation, and one of the
important functions that are emotional or of the individual functions of the
press and the media, it is depends on the individual's sense of itself and by
individual, so one of the important functions of the press about the people,
while living in the community of more than competitive, economic and
technological rise of political conflicts in the world and the changing needs of
daily life, as well as the pressures of society and the family, which presents
the individual ongoing tensions and alienation, so people resort to the media
to reduce the state of alienation in which they live, and this gives us a clear
role of the press, the press has become a large, multi-role attitudes in our
lives.
Study is divided into five chapters n the first chapter contains a
presentation of the problem and the importance of research and its goals, and
limitations and terms used, Chapter II discusses previous studies, and
Chapter III presents the research methodology and steps followed to choose
the study sample and the community, and building the tool and its sincerity to
the test, and statistical tools used , and Chapter IV examines the results of the
study through statistical tables that have been drawn, and the percentage that
gave us clear answers to specific questions about the study, and achieved its
objectives, and Chapter V reviews the discussion of the results of the analysis
and draw conclusions, and make recommendations in this study by the
researcher may contribute to the development of the work of the press in this
aspect.
The study of qualitative research based on a study of the phenomenon
and to collect all the facts and information relating thereto, and the formation
of hypotheses and theories to the study, and the study is divided into two
parts, the first section included the theoretical study, and the second section
to ensure the study process was the preparation of a questionnaire consisting
of 22 questions asked and the kind of closed which contains the specific
answers, and distributed to a sample survey of 200 people from the male and
female, were taken into account that the sample from a variety of age groups
in order to give greater opportunity for the emergence of trends vary
depending on a variety of respondents read newspapers exclusively, and the
final result shows that readers turn to newspapers as a way media away fromtheir problems and the pressures of life around them that cause them stress,
so the press will help them escape from the tension and alienation through
Matkdmh their subjects who need them.

Throughout his distinctive use of mystery and suspense techniques, Dickens
asserts himself to be an original writer. This technique might have worked for 19
century people with nothing better than to read, but it doesn't look suitable for a 20
century person.
Dickens's originality lies in his distinctive use of these techniques, which
attract even a 20 century person. He divides his story into episodes and this little
scheme might work for television serials in which the viewer has a whole week
between episodes to think about possible out-comes. Dickens also allows his
characters to be general, and uses the theme of doubles. In this way, Dickens paves
the way for detective fiction. He seeks to penetrate the mystery of appearances.
Accordingly, Dickens reveals hidden truths about the universe throughout his
characters and also reveals at the same time moral and spiritual conditions.
The research attempts to study Dickens's use of mystery and suspense in his
two novels A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations, since both novels show a
distinctive use of these techniques.

the problem of this study arises from the fact that most students are not quite
able to identify theme in narrative texts.
Poor students need more explanation in how they can identify theme, therefore the
researchers proposed teaching the story grammar by using related key words(because,
as a result, since, then, after, before, next, same as, as compared, different from,
unlike, but,…etc.)for facilitating theme identification.
In order to find out the results, the following null hypothesis has been posed:
There are no differences between the achievement of the good students and the
poor students after teaching the latter the story- grammar to identify the narrative
theme.
In the experimental group, the poor students have been taught the elements of story
grammar and how they can use the fore mentioned key words in theme identification.
After that both the experimental group and control group sat for a test of theme
identification to find the differences between them.
The findings of this study indicate that there are no differences between the two
groups, in other words the teaching of story grammar helps the poor students to
become better in theme identification.
In the light of the findings of the present study, several conclusions,
recommendations and suggestions for further study have been made.

This research analyses the nature of sophism poetry in Arabic civilization,
especially in poetical works of the poets: Al-Hallaj, Al-Sahrawardy, and Ibn Al
Faredh, from particular perspective, which is, figuration of poetical image.

In this paper, we have solved the electrochemical machining problem (ECM)
by using the collocation method based on Bernstein polynomials.
This paper is divided into three parts, in the first part we introduce a simple
overview about the two-dimensional ECM problem (in polar coordinate system),
while in the second part we consider the Bernstein polynomials (including its
definition and properties). Finally, the third part consists of evaluating the
approximate solution of the mathematical modeling related to the ECM problem.

From this point of view: it was to provide research coverage of the theory to
the issue of regional development policy and its role in the emergence of
Settlement human, to be in the hands of those interested in different
categories.

In this paper we introduce a method based on vertical and horizontal
histogram threshold to overcome the problem of detection the huge number of
multichoice questioner sheets, where the manipulating, checking, find duplicate
answer, and produce the result manually take a lot of time from human and also errors
may be occur.
The proposed algorithm work into two main steps first detect the grid found in
each sheet by applying vertical and horizontal histogram, then detect the selected cell
by also applying vertical and horizontal histogram depend on threshold value.
The values of sheets stored in a data base to process it and the results printed
either in word or excel form.
We test this work on the evaluation supervisor questioners sheet for 50
students.

Language is not merely a combination of words that by collecting their total
meaning the whole phrase significance can be guessed. Idioms are defined as fixed
phrases which contain a number of words carrying a meaning that cannot be predicted
and understood from the total sum of the meaning of the individual words. Idioms are
very useful to the writers who want to catch and use what the natives actually say.
Linguists try to classify idioms in terms of the types of components that they may
carry, like color idioms, numbers idioms, animals idioms etc.
This paper tries to explore a syntactic reality of importance to Iraqi learners of
English as a foreign language. Idiomatic expressions often pose problems for those
learners. This paper realizes itself in terms of a fieldwork survey, which concentrates
on the body parts idioms that contain the names of body organs with their significance
in idiomatic language. Fifty body parts idioms were selected and first year students of
the Department of English, the academic year 2006-2007, were exposed to this long
list of idioms and were asked to use them in their composition writings. The results
are apt to show that when those learners find counter parts/ equivalents in their own
language and/or culture, they both recognize and syntactically operate these idiomatic
expressions. Among the recommendations the researchers have come up with is to
suggest some supplementary material that brings the students closer to the heart of the
culture of English to be taught in conversation, composition, comprehension, etc

Arabic language is an active, surviving, and evolving language. It has
all the elements of being alive and it is one of the six global languages of the
world confirmed by the Security Council. It is the oldest natural language on
earth. Arabic linguists have worked hard to develop it and restore and improve
whatever needed to be improved in it since early times. Mostly, these trials of
restoring language took the shape of a conflict between the old and the new.
Therefore, the linguists who believed in reserving the language with all its
structure, spelling, and vocabulary confronted those who believed in restoring
and developing movement in it because it is newly found or born.
They were trails to enlarge and widen the language rage by adding
new terms for the new ideas and findings in science and arts, therefore the
scientific council had played their role in employing the efforts to find new
terms. Other efforts were employed in the domain of translating from other
languages, such as translating scientific and literary books that were needed.
Their work was extended to producing new dictionaries for terms and scientific
dictionaries and translating what is necessary to society.
They had their efforts in restoring grammar and structure. These efforts
were old in writing simplified text books for the students, in addition to modern
efforts in simplifying grammar and structure for student sin books and
syllabus.
Efforts also were put to restore good writing and spelling in Arabic, and
a mong the first names who worked in that field was Abo AL Aswad Al Du'ali
(died in 69 H) who was the first to use and invent the inflection markers (dots).
In modern Age, the new trails in finding new methods to restore the
Arabic letters and simplified it for usage in purifying and finding the proper
ways to make it easier in computer systems and while printing.
