The study falls in Five chapters as follows:
Chapter One : definition of the Study including:
1. The problem of the study: the current study tries to answers two questions;
First: the effectiveness of the performance of the applicants in the department of Quran
Sciences and Islamic Education in the colleges of Education according the point of view of
their supervisors.
Second: what is the future vision for teacher training according to the assessment of the
performance of the applicant students?
2. The importance of the study: the application or the field training is of an important role
in the process of training the students for teaching; as it is considered the real scale of
success in the processes of academic and professional preparing of the students. Through
which it is possible to assess the success of the students and the college in the process of
training.
If it is well prepared and carried out, the program of application is going to be a great
opportunity to achieve what the students have studied I the stage of training as the skills
and information and tendencies. It is a chance to perform the operation and living the
reality on hand and the training for the future profession in the near future on the other
hand.
The researcher believes that the importance of the study, ( the evaluation of the applicantstudents
according to the point of view of their supervisors in the colleges of education in
the university of Baghdad), lies that the profession of the teacher in the modern developing
education that is expected for the 21st century that is distinguished with change. The role of
the teacher is going to change too. Therefore the training of the students and preparing
them inside the educational organization and outside it is a very important and necessary
for developing the students' competence and skills to help them be ready to deal with the
challenges and the innovations successfully.
Hence, comes the importance of presenting a future vision to the process of training
teachers. Rather than being a kind of a prophecy, predicting the future is a kind of turning
the ground for the good seeds that might grow to good plants tomorrow. It is important to
understand that the life of the future would never be like today's life exactly like future
education that would never be like of today's. The look for the future and the try to
participate in forming its picture is the desire of Man since eternity. The educational
process in general is the preparation for the future leading to the saying "any educational
system can never raise upper than the standard of its teachers."
3. The objectives of the study:
1. The evaluation of the applicant- student of the department of Quran Sciences and
Islamic education in the colleges of education in the university of Baghdad
according to the point of view of their supervisors.
2. Presenting a new future vision to train the teachers of Iraq according to the first
objective.
4. The limitation of the study:
1. the students of the fourth stage as applicants in the departments of Quran Sciences
and Islamic education in the colleges of education in the university of Baghdad in
2008-2009 who are going to teach the subject of the Holy Quran and Islamic
Education in the intermediate and secondary schools.
2. the scientific and educational supervisors in the colleges of education an the
headmasters of the schools ( the school administrative) in which the students are to
do their practical application ( the sample of the study).
5. The terminology limitation: the researcher clarifies the terms used in the title and the
practical term in it.
Chapter Two : former studies: the researcher points out many of the former studies that
approaches the current study especially those related to the structure of the tool of study
and explaining the results.
Chapter Three: the study method and its procedures: the study depends on the analytical
and descriptive method to achieve the tow objectives of the study following a group of
procedures represented in specifying the society of the study and its sample. The sample is
of the fourth stage of the department of Quran Sciences and Islamic Education in the
colleges of education in the University of Baghdad of (189) female and male students,
among which 48 are chosen to be the sample of the study, with a rate of 25% of the
society. The researcher believes that the above rate is a good one to represent a small
community of (!-500) of which it is possible to take a sample between (20-25%). The
researcher depends on the open questionnaire and taking information from former studies
and reviewing literature. The researcher has checked the validity and reliability of the
method. The chapter includes also the statistical aids used in analyzing the results.
Chapter Four: the results of the study and their analysis; the study depends on a detailed
style in stating the results according to the point of view of the educational supervisors first
and then according to the scientific supervisors, third according to the headmasters field;
according to the field and items of each domain. The analysis of the results has concentrate
on the first and the last item of each field. In addition to that, the study compares between
the results of the opinions of the educational and scientific supervisors and finds no
differences with any statistical significance in them.
Chapter Five: conclusion, recommendation, and suggestions: according to the results the
study presents a number of conclusion:
1. The practical application is an essential part in training teachers, as it is a basic
element and a corner rock to fill the gap between the theoretical side and the
field work or practical side.
2. To ignore the practical side by the responsible people in the educational and
scientific field can be a big challenge that faces education in Iraq.
3. Therefore, it is a very urgent necessity to review the programs of training
teachers to cope with the rapid changes in the field of educational economics
and technology.
The study presents a number of recommendation:
1. Make use of former experiments of the world in the process of training teachers.
2. Confirm the principle of balance between the program and the items related to
educational, scientific, and cultural training.
3. Confirm the importance of the practical performance in the process of training
teachers starting form the first year up to the end of the program of training.
The current study presents a number of suggestions:
1. Evaluating teacher training programs according to the point of view of the
applicants students.
2. Studying the problems and difficulties that face the applicant students in the
departments of Quran Sciences in the colleges of education in Iraq and their
tendency toward the profession of teaching.
3. Initiating a program for training teachers of Quran Sciences and Islamic
Education in the light of the needs of the applicant students

Somal is considered one of the unstable and restless African Arabian country in
comparison with other Arabian. It has been exposed to division and separation by
European colonization process that worked hardly on dividing this country according to
Berlin conference (1884-1885). Even after obtaining its independence during the sixties
and being led by civilian organizations which were unable to solve the problems of
Somalian society after obtaining the independence.
Somal continued its suffering even after the military rule under the leadership of
Mohammed Sayad Beree.
During Beree's rule, Somal suffered from the War with Ethiopia, as well as it
witnessed an economical Crisis. It suffered also from the tribal policy through giving
leadership roles to his tribal men, depriving other tribes from these roles, a matter which
led the Somalian people to end his regime and as a result to civil war that opened the door
for political and Islamic movements. At the beginning, the Islamic movements appeared as
courts and institutions and then they united together to be Islamic courts.
In addition to that, it witnessed the emergence of other Islamic parties that played a
great role in the Somalian situation because each one has its aims and wanted to apply it on
Somal.
Perhaps, the different aims of those movements caused this separation and division
in Somal, a matter that has been profiteered by neighbors, especially Ethiopia which
caused instability in the whole country

The research tries to discuss the European attitude towards the Iranian nuclear
activities withen its ambitious nuclear program. It studies the European endeavor to settle
this problem peacefully or to solve it by exerting economic and diplomatic pressures on the
Iranian leadership so, it will give up its nuclear ambitions.
Germany exerts single efforts and others withen the European Troika to follow up
the Iranian nuclear case attempting to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapon which
gives Iran a distinguished regional status. Thus , this situation will lead the current regional
equivalence become unbalanced as well as it is conducive to dangerous consequences , to
endanger the security of Israel is the most important one.
Germany endeavors to increase its economic and commercial interests in Iran to
ensure its presence singly or withen the framework of European Troika in the region in a
way that will enhance its role and that of the European Union.
In fact, Germany aims to play an active and influential role in addressing international
events.
In spite of its efforts that aim to appeasement in dealing with the Iranian nuclear
dossier through dialogue or negotiation .
Its attitude will be unaccepted if the doubts concerning Iranian intentions and having
capability to produce nuclear weapon in a way that will endanger Israel security will be
ensured. In this case Germany will support the western attitude that refuses the Iranian
ambitions.

According to Bowens Family systems theory self – differentiation defiance as a
construct that consists of two interrelated abilities : the first is an intrapsychic
ability to distinguish between the thoughts and feelings , and an inter personal
ability to maintain connections with others while achieving an autonomous self .
The present research concerned in testing the hypothesis of marital similarity
(people married persons with the same level of self – differentiation).
The present research aimed to:
1. Measures self – differentiation of university officers .
2. Measures self - differentiation of sample husbands' .
3. Measures self - differentiation of sample wives .
4. Acquaint to the relation between self – differentiation for husbands and self
– differentiation for him wives.
To achieve this aims it should used instrument to measure self – differentiation
that is ( Al – kabee , 2007 ) scale , this was build depending on ( skowron &
schmith , 2003 ) inventory in penns lvania university , the face validity obtained
for this inventory in this research also internal consistency ( alpha coefficient at
value ( 0.84 )
The research result was obtained through applying the inventory on a sample
consist of (44 ) couples ( husbands and wives ) which mean ( 88 ) university
officers from Baghdad university .
The result was :
1. The total level of self - differentiation of university officers is moderate.
2. The total level of self – differentiation of males (husbands' ) is high ,while the
total level of self-differentiation of females(wives) is moderate but there are no
statistically significant differences in self-differentiation between them.
3. There are a positive , high statistically significant relationship between self –
differentiation for husbands and self – differentiation for him wives that’s indicate
to marital similarity in self – differentiation for the sample of present research , this
represent supporting for the marital similarity hypothesis in self – differentiation in
Iraqi society .

The roots of the philosophical concept of place in the old human thought
extended from his realization to the place he is being in, becomes the exsisting
things that he noticed, form a space in the place. Since here the place is concedered
as a container for these bodies.
The initial (primitive) human being, through his concept of the place
indicates the sensible phenomena of the concept of the place. Therefore, the
concept of the sensible place, is the prevailing though during that period.
Therefore, they distributed the world as (heaven, earth, and the sensible world)
where (goods, human beings and the dead).
The platonic concept to the idea of time is a circular concept depends on the
absolute religious movement, because it is the movable image. So, the concept of
place in the ancient human being's thought is prior to their concept of time and
movement, because bodies cannot be found unless in a place determined by it's
temporal moving nature. The Greek philosopher are the initial ones who discussed
the concept of place according to the philosophical view of their age.
This research includes four chapters: The first chapter is about the
methodical fram which includes the problem of the research, its importance, goal
and the definitions of terms. The second chapter includes the theoretical from and
the previous studies. While the third chapter deals with the procedures of the
research. Chapter four includes the results and the conclusion. The research ends

The book of Alphendidad is considered as an important part of the holy book of
Avesta in the Zoroastrian religion. It is a religious and urbanization book that consists of a
number of chapters dealing with the creation. The book includes 22 chapters, mostly edited
as a dialogue between Ahuaramzda the god of goodness and his prophet Zoroaster. The
biggest chapter deals with the rules of purification of vices of the devil and dismissing it of
the places around, hence it is the book of law of Zoroastrian about the important animals,
birds , insects, and reptiles and their categorization according to their creation; creatures of
the spirit of goodness and creatures of the spirit of evilness.
Some of these creatures are included for their influence upon the life, nature, and
other creatures, in addition to their influence upon the religious life. This is the focus of the
current study that sheds light on the identity of these creatures and their effect on the
mentality and the Zoroastrian belief.
1. The Alphendidad is considered as the important idiosyncratic legislative part in the
book of Avesta, in which there is a lot of the legislations and laws that rule the
individual and social life and the consequences of the deeds of man as a reward
and punishment.
2. The study tries to concentrate on a specific part of the book of Alphendidad and
study it. It surveys the most important creatures in the book, especially animals,
birds, insects, and reptiles – according the Zoroastrian belief -. The Zoroaster
divides theses creatures into two types according to the creation and impotence.
The blessed creatures of goodness that created by the god of goodness,
Ahoramzda; and cursed creatures of evilness created by the god of evilness,
Ahrimn.
3. The ideas, points of views, rituals, and worships included in the book of
Alphendidad disagree with the common sense and any logical thinking. This is a
defect against the Zoroastrian belief and thinking. The legend and myth is the only
means by which events are explained especially the creation and the view of the
world that is ruled by these two forces; the force of goodness and its creatures and
the force of evilness and its creatures.
4. The human mind tends more to believe in myth and legend to explain mysterious
phenomena. Along history, Persians tend to weave legendry events in literature
resulting from their worshiping of natural phenomena that are difficult to be
explained in another way. They have found that the clear blue sky, light, fire, air,
and water are divine and good creatures. They have even called the sun and the eye
of god and light as the son of god. And darkness, drought, and sickness are divine,
cursed, and evil creatures.
5. The creation is focused on the good creatures especially livestock, small and big
animals, dogs, and birds as the creatures of goodness. the study concentrates also
on how to work on protectin and mentaining these creatures as the means of
victory for the god of light, Ahoramzada against the cursed creatures of evilness.
Therefore, Zoroaster imposes on his followers that they should sanctify these
creatures and never harm them or killing them with no right.
6. The Ancient Persian thinking has missed the fact that this world and its creatures
are the creation of one sole God. The question that raises here is weather the
Zoroastrian religion is a multiple-god or standard religion. Researches disagree to
answer this question. Some of them see the world with its two forces of goodness
and evilness are but two conflicting forces of the same God, and others believe that
Zoroaster is standard theologically and philosophically he is a multiple-god
religion.
7. The categorization of the animals, birds, insects, and reptiles into two types
according to the Zoroastrian belief is an evidence of ignorance and lack of
awareness. All creatures are the creation of the One sole God. The Zoroastrian has
divided these creatures into two types according to their features, work and their
effect on nature among other useful or harmful creatures. The religion imposes the
mythical and legendary view picturing these creatures as animals, birds, insects
according to their importance.
8. The Zoroastrian religion exaggerates the importance of these creatures. It sanctify
and blessed the useful creatures and its remnants, as it considered the cow as a
very important creature by Ahoramzda. Its importance lies in the fact that the cow
is the source of their food, a means of cultivating their lands. Cow is considered as
the capital of the farming communities, and since the Parisian is an old agrarian
society, the cow and ox are important supplements. Yet there is a great deal of
exaggeration in dealing with the cow to an illogical extent of considering its urine
as a sacred thing for purification of sins instead of holy water, which a thing that
goes against proper and common test.
9. The study signifies a group of animals described by Zoroaster as creatures of
goodness as they have good and useful features according to the god of goodness,
Ahoramzda. These animals are: Cow, Awl, fox, ox, camel, donkey, sheep, horse,
bird, dog, goat, and eagle).
10. The study also identifies a group of creatures that are considered as harmful –
according to Zoroastrain religion – that affects the good creatures and affects the
nature and spoil it. Zoroaster has allowed the destruction and killing these
creatures and its harm to support the force of goodness over evilness. It also
considered the destruction of these creature as part of the important religious
rituals of the Zoroastrian belief to purgation of sins and evils and to get nearer to
the god of goodness Ahoramzda. These creatures are: rats, locusts, snakes, flies,
wolves, turtles, frogs, spiders, scorpions, lice, ants).

In a controversy between the intellectuals and doctors of Legal and Islamic
scholars, about the legality of medication organs and human parts, comes this
study, in order to reveal the controls of Islamic in that issue above, and to show the
effectiveness of Islam and its role, and the extent needed in the treatment of
problems intractable, and the resolution of the controversy in the case above, in
order to preserve the human dignity and the right integration of physical, and
prevents from Aptmalh, and included in the financial contracts, and to achieve that
goal, presented the study to the issue of the rule of medication and look to Islam to
him, and the rule of therapeutics in human organs, and the views of Almjizin and
Almanaan for that and their evidence, and the balance between those views, and
indicate the most correct of them. The study concluded that reducing the
permissible tolerance in organ medication, and the prohibition of sale or gift of
human organs.

The revolution of technology in the 21st century has changed radically the
climate of opinion concerning second language education. In order to excel in
today’s world, teachers and learners need to adopt new roles and be equipped with
new skills and competencies that go beyond the basic ones of listening, speaking,
reading, and writing; skills that cannot be gained if teachers teach mere academic
subjects, and students are evaluated on how well they have learnt the minute sub
skills in those content areas.
This session will touch upon several skills which may be considered the
new basics of the 21st century. Among these skills are: autonomy, active learning,
critical thinking, cooperative learning, and digital learning (AACCD). Digital
literacy with its opportunities and challenges will be the core of this session due to
its novelty which makes it worth studying. It will also explore university teachers’
attitudes towards using digital learning. The session will end up with some
suggestions for consideration if teachers and educators are truly looking forward to
excellence in the ELT profession

Many approaches of different complexity already exist to edge detection in
color images. Nevertheless, the question remains of how different are the results
when employing computational costly techniques instead of simple ones. This
paper presents a comparative study on two approaches to color edge detection to
reduce noise in image. The approaches are based on the Sobel operator and the
Laplace operator. Furthermore, an efficient algorithm for implementing the two
operators is presented. The operators have been applied to real images. The results
are presented in this paper. It is shown that the quality of the results increases by
using second derivative operator (Laplace operator). And noise reduced in a good
range by using mean filter for smoothing before applying Laplace operator.
Moreover, thresholding is used for image in both cases to see results in clearer
manner.

This study deals with the orthographic processing ability of homophones
which can account for variance in word recognition and production skills due to
phonological processing. The study aims at: A)Investigating whether the students
can recognize correct usage and spelling comprehension of different homophones
by using appropriate word that overlapped in both phonology and orthography.
B)Assessing spelling production word association to the written form of the
homophone in the sentence comprehension task. To achieve these aims, two tests
have been conducted and distributed on 50 students at first stage at the College of
Education(Ibn-Rushd) for the academic year 2010-2011. The two tests are exposed
to a jury of experts for the purpose of ascertaining their validity. The split-half
reliabilities (Spearman-Brown corrected) from this task were .93 and .82,
respectively to calculate their reliability coefficient. The results show that there are
statistical differences between the two tests: the recognition test and the production
test show that the testees have achieved better performance in the recognition
test(75%)than in the production test (25%)

The cuneiform images need many processes in order to know their contents
and by using image enhancement to clarify the objects (symbols) founded in the
image. The Vector used for classifying the symbol called symbol structural vector
(SSV) it which is build from the information wedges in the symbol.
The experimental tests show insome numbersand various relevancy including
various drawings in online method. The results are high accuracy in this research,

Large – Almusseiyab soils survey project in mid Mesopotamian plain have
been chosen , because of its variation in soil series and reiteration map units, to
calculate the roundness of map units and roundness sorting values, in order to use
them as a pattern of map units shapes which help in interpret the distribution and
shapes of map units, which they were (18) soil series in (141) reiteration. Calculate
each map units roundness have been done and its value ranged between (0.09) to
(0.51), The average of roundness ranged between (0.250) for each MM1, MW5
soil series ,and (0.317) for DW45 . 99.30 % of samples were not good roundness
and with many sineuosity. The second group was a largest percentage 38.88 % with
range of angles 6 – 7. The less value of Circularity four factor was (0.11) in MM11
soil series, when the high value was (0.83) in DW56. The unit MM11 was
considered as a key map unit that appears in the soil of Large - Almuseiyab project,
which may be used to expect another map units existence in area of that project,
which is considered an important in soil survey works and management of soils
their. All soil series appeared with poor roundness sorting ranged between (2.04) in
DM115 soil series to ( 8.27 ) in MM11 . There was high correlation (0.871)
between roundness sorting, area and reiterations soil series. High coefficient of
variation of roundness sorting was (0.471), then (0.449) for Circularity four factor,
finally of roundness (0.343).

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between narcissistic
personality and altruistic behavior for a subject of (307) gifted high schools
students, including (139)male and (168) female students ,both the scale of
narcissistic personality and the scale of altruistic behavior (Hameed ,2002) were
checked for its validity and reliability ,and both the level of narcissism and the
level of altruism for the students were measured in compare to the medium average
and approved to be statistically significant at (0.05) level.
Results showed that there were no significant differences in the altruistic
behavior between males and females ,results showed significant differences in
narcissism levels between males and females for the favor of the males ,finally the
results also showed that there was no significant relationship between narcissism
and altruistic behavior .

detection level of ambition, the following specific question? What is the relationship between the psychological
stability level with the ambition among the students of the university?
The importance of the current research through the role of university students in community-building and
progress forward, therefore, must maintain their mental health would like to be more ambitious in order to
achieve the goals of the university and the community.
ResearchObjectives:
The objective of this research is to identify the psychological stability and level of ambition of the
university students and to identify statistically significant differences in the psychological stability and level of
ambition according to the gender variable, as well as to identify the correlation between emotional stability and
the level of ambition.
The research sample
It is consisted of 200 students from the University of Baghdad and in the academic year (2010-2011), while
the search tools have been preparing a measure of psychological stability by the researcher, and the adoption of
a measure the level of ambition .

The results of the research
showed the enjoyment of the research sample psychological stability and level of ambition, and the presence
of statistically significant differences in psychological stability depending on the gender variable in favor of
males. And there is no difference in the level of ambition according to the gender variable, and the results
showed the presence of significant correlation between emotional stability and the level of ambition appeared
