The present work born of a concern by the Spanish in Iraq at the college level teaching especially to some structure that Arab students in general and Iraqis in particular, are in their learning process. Our first thought was, therefore, a direct and close to the student as subject of learning, as well as what the student produces as a result of the same attention. In this paper we intend to equip students of linguistic knowledge to be able to interact in a variety of situations and deal with everyday problems, in a way that develops the communication skills that enable him to establish a successful communication during the learning of Spanish as a foreign language that is the use of the structure \\"Como si\\". Although we are aware that it is foolish to provide clear-cut solutions to what all agree as one of the most important syntactic issues, and where you can see a huge contradiction of the different theoretical proposals. Thus, our work is an attempt to enable the students to be able to use and recognize this structure, especially in the early stages of learning.

This research consists of two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The first part provides a general description of idioms and idiomatic expressions. The definition of the idiom depending on different points of view and theories, its composition and types according to different standards and criteria, and the relation between the idiom and other linguistic phenomena were given in detail. To give a simplified and complete image about idioms and to pave the way to the second part of the research, which focuses specifically on one type of idioms \\"idioms from numbers\\", all aspects regarding the idiom should be clarified in detail. The reason for choosing this kind of idioms is the absence of studies that tackle it well, particularly in Iraq ,and this type represents the core of the second part of present research .This part refers to the importance and role of idioms from numbers in comprehension English at various levels such as syntactic, semantic , vocabulary and context. To achieve the purpose of this research, two tests (pre -test and post- test) have been constructed and presented to a group of specialists to verify their validity and reliability. Then, the two tests were applied to a sample consisting of 40 undergraduate students and a lecture dealing with the subject of research has been delivered to the sample. The results of the two tests have been analyzed statistically and compared with each other in order to show the progress of achievement of the sample at various levels of the language which were mentioned above . In the light of the results of the study, several conclusions were inferred, one of them, the important and effective role played by idioms from the numbers in teaching English as a foreign language for Iraqi students.

The current paper is titled Uncertainty of theme in the postmodernist fiction: The case of Pynchon\\'s Entropy. It aims at clarifying how features of postmodernist text have an impact on theme production. Language is alienated as it does not refer to the conscious world. However, it refers to unconscious world which is characterized by cryptic and it does not make a sense of the world. The scope of the study throws light on the features of postmodernism to show how psychological factors are employed in the text and the functions of its stylistic features. It is hypothesized that damage in man\\'s psyche has influenced postmodernist short story. The paper consists of four sections; the first section discusses the term Postmodernism as a concept. It explores how postmodernism views history and culture. The second section discusses the psychic elements employed in the short story to project man’s psyche under the pressure of conflicting great powers. The third sheds light on the stylistic features, writers have used at variance with the ones used in realist and modernist texts to gain particular needs. This led to frustrate the farmers which adversely affected the export. The dates society has made great efforts to address some problems during the late tears of the study, as they took it upon themselves to contract for the sale of dates deals directly and get rid of intermediary companies which have long burdened the farmers. It also took care of the means of dates manufacturing and refining it. The reconstruction council played an important role in reducing some of the problems that threatened the date trade in Iraq, especially floods and the spread of epidemics and work to combat them.

The study dealt with the problem of noise pollution in most of the Iraqi cities, if not all, but the noise of generators in the center of Al Mansouriya area, which occupies an area of ​​331969 dunums and located in the northern part of the district of Khalis in Diyala province, 34.23) and between longitudes (44.39) and (45) east.This is due to the random distribution of the civil generators in the research area, as they were concentrated in the old neighborhood without any other residential neighborhood. This explains the reason for the rise in noise In the residential district and not compared to the population of the search area, reaching (19870) people for the year 2016 after it was (10338) for the year 2009. The study concluded that the maximum noise level was recorded at the birth site (14) with a noise level of (108.7db) for the summer of 2016, while the lowest noise level was at (17) with a noise level of 82.5 db for the winter of 2015, While the levels of noise increased significantly in the summer of 2016 compared to the winter of 2015. The researcher attributed this rise to the effect of temperature and speed and direction of wind in the search area, where the noise levels for the summer of 2016 ranged between (91.4db - 108.7db) , While the noise levels of the winter of 2015 ranged between (82.5db - 97.1db), exceeding the pain threshold for ear, hearing and (80.74bb) for the winter of 2015 and summer 2016.
