Abstract
على الرغم من الأهمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لقطاع الطاقة (النفط والغاز)، كسلعة ستراتيجية للعراق,إلا إن هناك وجاً آخراً سلبياً لهذا القطاع المهم, وما يترتب عنه من أضرار جتماعية وخسائر اقتصادية . من هنا فان دراسة وتحليل التكاليف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لهذا القطاع تبين حجم الخسائر الاقتصادية والمعاناة الاجتماعية. ويثير اهتمام المسؤولين لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للحد من مثل هذه الاضرار والخسائر. عليه استهدفت هذه الدراسة قدير الخسائر الاقتصادية الناتجة عن استغلال هذا المورد في العراق للمدة 2000-2013 وتم تقسيم التكاليف للنفط والغاز فى العراق إلى : ( تكاليف اقتصادية وأخرى إنسانية)
واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي لتحقيق أهدافها,إذ جمعت البيانات والمعلومات من مصادرها , وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود التكاليف الاقتصادية للنفط والغاز العراقي
وركزت أيضا على التكاليف الاجتماعية وتأثيرها الخطير.
