The present study seeks to identify and analyze the influence of the Holy Quran on the word and content of Kumail prayer. Imam Ali taught this mystical and romantic prayer with its long themes to Kumail Ibn Ziad Nakhai. This research is the descriptive-analytical or analytical-documentary method. Hence، first، the theoretical issues are expressed and finally، the intertextual relations of Kumail prayer (present text) with the Holy Quran (absent text) are analyzed and studied. The intertextual approach of Kumail prayer with the Holy Quran puts a new horizon in front of the reader so that he can find the meaning of it and enjoy it more. Imam Ali in Kumail prayer using the word of revelation has strengthened the spiritual capacity of this prayer. The findings of this study confirm that the intertextual relationship between Kumail prayer and the Holy Quran is often lexical and in the form of "parallel and partial negation". The deep connection between the words of Imam Ali (AS) and the absent text indicates the important issue that the Imam in addition to using the words of the Holy Quran، has also established a conscious interaction and communication with the content of the verses.
