This study aimed to explore the relationship between teachers’ creativity and their
ability in designing Multiple Choice Questions. Moreover, it attempted to investigate the
relationship between gender and the amount of flaws in designing Multiple-Choice Questions
(MCQs). To this end, 100 EFL Iraqi teachers who were teaching English at high schools of
Najaf were randomly selected. They included 50 male and 50 female. Creativity questionnaire
was given to the EFL teachers to rate their creativity. Then, they were asked to design at least
five (MCQs) about specific passage to discover is there any flaw in designing MCQs, if yes
what is the amount of each group (males/females) and the difference between them. After
gathering the data, the researchers calculated the creativity of each person and recorded all
required information in SPSS software. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to test the
assumption of the normality of the variables. Pearson Correlation was used to test the
correlations between the variables. The results indicated that there was no significant
relationship between the variables. Moreover, results portrayed that there was no significant
relationship between Iraqi EFL teachers’ gender and the type of flaws in designing MCQs.
The findings also demonstrated that the role of teacher's creativity has no association with
their ability in design flawless MC items. The findings concluded that there were several
problems in the designed MCQs by Iraqi teachers.

This paper presents an attempt to explore the analytical potential of five corpus-based
techniques: concordances, frequency lists, keyword lists, collocate lists, and dispersion plots.
All are packed in WordSmith Tools Version5.0 which is the basic quantitative program that is
utilized throughout this paper . The basic question addressed is related to the contribution that
these techniques make to gain more objective and insightful knowledge of the way literary
meanings are encoded and of the way the literary language is organized. How far can corpus
linguistics provide researchers with quantitative techniques that help them figuring out the
cyclic relation between corpus-stylistics and literary description. Three sizable English novels
(Joyc's Ulysses, Woolf's The Waves, and Faulkner's As I Lay Dying) are laid to corpus
linguistic analysis. These novels are quite controversial and heatedly debated by critics for
their exceptional forms and contents. It is only by virtue of corpus-based techniques that huge
amounts of literary data are analyzable. Otherwise, the data will keep on to be not more than
several lines of poetry or short excerpts of narrative. The corpus-based techniques presented
throughout this paper contribute more or less to a sort of rigorous interpretation of literary
texts far from the intuitive approaches usually utilized in traditional stylistics. Certain
intuitive critical judgments about the three novels are undertaken and then checked and
verified by the five techniques. It is the objective contribution of corpus linguistic description
that verifies or falsifies the traditional ways of literary appreciation.

What would motivate a first-rank poststructuralist philosopher to engage suddenly

that Foucault's focal interest in Iran was totally misunderstood. He had nothing to do with the
Islamic government, rather he sought after a genuine understanding of the rudimental issues
that united the majority of Iranian people. Working methodically through Foucault's
fragmentary writings on Iran as 'historico-philosophic' archives, a new understanding of their
technologies, knowledge, discourse, politics, and practices is sought.

The aim of this study was to investigate the self-confidence and educational
motivation of the under-graduate male English department students and the effect of these
attributes on their oral translation quality. One hundred BA undergraduate male students
from two different universities in Iraq, University of Kufa in Najaf and University of Karbala
were selected for this research. They received Namni’s self-confidence questionnaire (2007),
(with reliability 0.88 and 0.81 validity) Harter’s motivational scale (1981) (with reliability
0.79 and validity 0.88) and oral translation test of about 60 words driven from the English
news from the Voice of America (VOA). They scored by oral evaluation rubric method
proposed by Clifford (Psychometric validation and interpreter certification). The 100 students
underwent the self-confidence and the motivational questionnaires after that they stood up in
front of five experienced raters and the VOA special English report was selected and played
to the students in order to test their oral translation ability and quality. After the statistical
analysis was taken, it is found that; a) there were significant positive correlation between the
self-confidence and oral translation quality of male English translation students, b) there were
significant positive correlation between the motivation and the quality of oral translation, c)
self-confidence has more influence and was more closely correlated with oral translation
quality.

The primary objective of the present study was to explore the extent to which the
reading comprehension items in IELTS can be answered correctly by test takers in passage
out condition, that is, the passage independency of the items. Furthermore, the study made an
attempt to investigate the role of different kinds of intelligences and the use of test-taking
strategies in successful reading achievement of test takers in two conditions of the test (when
the passage is present and when the passage is absent). The target participants of the present
study comprised 175 male and female EFL students who were selected from three private
EFL institutes of Mashhad. The instrumentation in the present study consisted of two
questionnaires and two tests. As the result shows, there is a significant difference between the
passage-out, and passage-in conditions in terms of IELTS reading comprehension

Muthanna to identify the spatial distribution of 2015, and the reasons and demographic

important of which were the number of crimes of narcotics recorded in Muthanna
Governorate for the year 2015 (298). These crimes were spatially divided into (11)
administrative units. Of the total drug crimes recorded in Muthanna province in 2015. The
study found that the most age groups for drug offenses in Al-Muthanna Governorate are the
youth group (18-25 years) . (45.4%) of the respondents were convicted of these crimes. The
study showed that the most common reasons that lead individuals to commit drug crimes are
economic reasons, which accounted for (74.4%)

Salman Rushdie’s fiction has often been investigated with regard to its depiction of

supposed. This paper argues that because his novels, especially Midnight’s Children, portray

an effect of multiple racisms. Attempts by his characters to transcend race and escape racethinking prove invariably incomplete and provisional because of a conjunction of biopolitical
state operations and the racism of those members of the population who perceive the
racializing biopolitical state as guaranteeing their freedom, security and species.
Michel Foucault’s foundational analysis of how biopower and race, especially his

by which regimes of biopower seek to securitize themselves by constructing subraces. His

By analyzing some formal political speeches made by a number of former members of Iranian
Parliament when they discussing the impeachment of the then-minister of the Iranian
'Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance' and the subsequent statements made by him to
defend his policies, this paper has identified, categorized, and elaborated on the linguistic
forms (i.e., pronominals and verbal expressions, in this case) reflecting each of the abovementioned politeness strategies in the realm of formal political discourse. The frequency of
occurrence of the exponents bearing on each of the two strategies in question has also been
computed. Finally, as such politeness strategies seem to be language-specific, i.e., unique to
the Persian language, the probable implications for the field of TEFL also have been
discussed.

concentration of air pollutants of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons,
nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide those results from burning kerosene fuel.
What is the possibility of detecting the spatial variation of these concentrations within a
specified period through the use of propagation and dispersion models in the city of
Diwaniyah?

The hypotheses respond to these questions that the extent of the contribution is

quality as well as the nature of climatic conditions. The emission factors can be used to
estimate the concentrations of gases emitted from those furnaces and bakeries.
Furnaces and bakeries are specific emission sources (pointers), based on this
characteristic, a model can be simulated to simulate the movement of its emissions by
means of Gaussian mathematical equations that depend on wind speed, direction, air
temperature, gas type, emission time and surface nature. Thus,
Maps that represent the spatial limits of the spread and dispersion ranges can be then
mapped for a selected time period.
The research methodology is based on the analytical descriptive approach, and the
methods of automated analysis are used in GIS.
One of the most important tools that is used Aermod View v8, which is used to model
furnace and bakery emissions, a program approved by the US Environmental Protection
Agency. Arc Gis 10 is also used for automated analysis and some calculations of interest
to the search as well as the final output of the maps.
The research reveals that the emission levels of the furnace chimney are distributed
at a distance of up to 100 meters, depending on the type of pollutant. The most
concentrated levels appear after a distance of 2 meters to 30 meters of this chimney.
The highest pollutant emissions take a bow-like shape in January, which in fact indicates
the more frequent wind trends.During the month of July, the arc form of these
contaminants also appears, but it is almost reversed in its direction with the arch
formed in January and is formed for the same reason.

observation of interaction between 'al-hal' function , and the other function of 'al-nasb' , and
turned out to that the 'alnasb' element is function of indication , usage ,attraction , and
openness to the near fields give it another attraction , the research discover that the interaction
in the indication increase the limitation or rules of 'al-hal' to interact with 'almansobat' , and
give it a variation in the indication and usage. The research was in three axis , this axis are the
most apparent of the interacted positions of 'alnasb' , and were discussing according to their
prevalence in al-mutanabbi poetry . The first axis was the interaction between functions of 'alhal' and 'altameez', The second was the interaction between the function of 'al-hal' and 'almafa'aol min ajlih' ,the third was the interaction between the function of 'al-hal' and
'almafa'aol al-mutalk' .

This study aimed at exploring The relationship between Styles of
Conflict Management and quality of life among Students of University of Al-Qadisiyah.
Current research was done among 300 University students from University of Al-Qadisiyah .
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used scale of styles of
conflict management which consists of 35 items, and scale Ryff for quality of life which
consists of 34 items. The researchers find out that the conditions of analyzing the items,
validity and reliability . The results of the study refers that university students using
collaborating style, they have of quality of life, and there are positive relationship between
collaborating style and quality of life among university students.

the cultivation of this crop in the province significantly, Therefore, it is proposed to encourage
agricultural investment in this area and facilitate the production of its crops to farmers through
the provision of good seeds and fertilizer by the agricultural people in the province to be a
good initiative in the development of the local economy as well as the proposal to establish a
drying plant and canning the product of tea Gujarat to facilitate the storage process and
appreciation to other provinces or out of Iraq.
