Ecological impacts of exotic and marine migratory species on the fish's composition assemblage in East Hammer marsh/south Iraq.

Abstract

The fish assemblage of East Hammer marsh was studied seasonally from Autumn 2018 to Summer 2019 from three stations (Al-Sada, Al –Mansory, and Al-Burkha). The marsh fish assemblage during the study period consisted mainly of non-native species, marine migratory species formed (43.4 %) followed by tilapia species, other exotic and ornamental species included (34.7 %) in the third rank was native freshwater while in the species (21.9%). The highest and lowest diversity values of Shannon and wiener (2.11) (1.20) was recorded in autumn and spring, respectively. Brillouin diversity values fluctuated between the highest (2.09) in summer and the lowest (0.43) in winter margalef richness index scored the highest value1.95in spring, and lowest (1.1) in winter both at Al-Sada station evenness values of Pielou scored the lowest value(0.24) in spring and the highest(0.67) in autumn. Jaccard Species similarity index attained the highest value (88.8 %) in spring between Al-Mansory and Al-Burka stations and the lowest (58.3%) between Al-Sada and Al- Burkha in spring Species dominance by Burger- Parker reached 90.0% in winter. The lowest 0.29% in autumn kwak and Petersom individual dominance scored the highest value (93) in winter. The lowest (58) in autumn, respectively, lamp intactness values reached 212.9 in 2019 nine species considered resident seven. Five species were seasonal and rare, respectively.

موسميا 2018 إلى صيف 2019 في ثالث محطات )السدة ، المنصوري ، البركة(. تألف ً تم دراسة تجمعات أسماك هور شرق الحمار من خريف
تجمعات أسماك المستنقعات خالل فترة الدراسة بشكل رئيسي من األنواع غير المحلية ، حيث شكلت األنواع البحرية المهاجرة )٪43.4( تليها
أنواع البلطي ، أما األنواع الغريبة وأنواع الزينة األخرى المدرجة )٪34.7( ـ أما في المرتبة الثالثة فكانت مياه عذبة محلية )٪21.9(. تم تسجيل
أعلى وأدنى قيم تنوع لشانون ووينر )2.11( )1.20( في الخريف والربيع على التوالي. تذبذبت قيم تنوع برلوين بين اعالها )2.09( في الصيف
وأدنى )0.43( في الشتاء . سجل مؤشر غنى مارجالف أعلى قيمة 1.95 في الربيع ، وأدنى )1.1( في الشتاء على حد سواء في محطة السدة،
بينما أدنى قيمة للتكافؤ )0.24( في الربيع وأعلى )0.67( في الخريف. سجل مؤشر تشابه أنواع الجاكارد أعلى قيمة )٪88.8( في الربيع بين
محطتي المنصوري والبركة وأدنى )٪58.3( بين السدة والبركة في الربيع. بلغت قيمة دليل برجر باركر ٪90.0 في شتاء. وسجلت أقل نسبة
٪0.29 في قيمة سيادة كواك وبيتيرسوم في الخريف و أعلى قيمة )93( في الشتاء. سجلت أدنى قيمة )58( في الخريف ، على التوالي . بلغت
قيم intactness lamp 212.9 في عام 2019 تسعة أنواع تعتبر سبعة منها مقيمة. خمسة أنواع كانت موسمية ونادرة.

Abstract

Monthly of some ecological factors from the Iraqi estuarine and marine waters were
studied for the period January 2018 to December. Three stations were chosen, the first station
Shatt Al-Arab estuary, the second station the intermediate part between Iraqi marine and
estuarine waters while the third station the Iraqi marine waters. The ecological factors that have
been estimated includes air and water temperatures, transparency, turbidity, salinity, pH,
dissolved oxygen, total phosphorus, sulphate, calicium, sodium, potassium, chloride carbonate
and bicarbonate. the maximum water temperature recorded value was (35.4, 33.2, 37.2ºC)
during June in the three stations respectively, the highest salinity concentrations were recorded
during July, reaching (47.3) ppt in the first station and in September it reached (45.7) ppt in
the second station and in October it reached (43.1) ppt in third station, the highest values of
transparency were recorded in the third station with a maximum value of 240cm during
February. And to know the physical and chemical properties of marine water due to the lack
of environmental studies

اشتملت الدراسة الحالية بدراسة العوامل البيئية غير الحياتية في مصب شط العرب والمياه البحرية العراقية للفترة من كانون
الثاني 2018 ولغاية كانون االول واختيرت ثالث محطات للدراسة االولى مصب شط العرب والثانية مياه متوسطة بين مياه
المصبات والمياه البحرية العراقية والثالثة مياه بحرية خالصة ، العوامل البيئية غير الحياتية التي تم قياسها تتضمن درجة

للماء وبلغت )35.4 ، 33.2 37.2، ( م ˚ خالل حزيران في محطات الدراسة الثالثة بينما بلغ تركيز الملوحة خالل تموز
وبلغت )47.3( جزء باأللف في المحطة االولى وفي ايلول وبلغت )45.7( جزء باأللف في المحطة الثانية وفي تشرين
االول وبلغت )43.1( جزء باأللف في المحطة الثالثة وبلغ اعلى قيمة لشفافية الماء في المحطة الثالثة وبلغت 240 سم خالل
شباط ،وتهدف الدراسة الى معرفة الخصائص الفيزيائية والكيميائية لماء البحر نظرا" لقلة الدراسات البيئية .

Abstract

An assessment of the level of noise produced by sound generating machines was carried out in
Basrah. Acoustical measurements were made using a digital sound level meter 814 SL model,
range:40dB -130dB. Measurements were made at intervals of 100cm from each source and a
total of five machines were investigated to determine the noise generated and its level at each
of these distances. Results show that the average ambient noise levels around these machines
were lowest for source S2 (air compressor) which had between 84.5dB at 600 cm and 98dB at
100cm and highest for source S5 (Hammer drill) which had between 125.5dB at 600cm and
130dB at 100cm. This result indicates that people working around source S5 are more exposed
to noise and hence more prone to noise associated health effects. The results in S5 exceed the
recommended noise level of 90dB for an 8-hour exposure by OSHA. A confirmatory analysis
of annoyance, general discomfort, and temporary hearing impairments indicated that people
around these areas are already being ignorantly affected by these sources of noise.

تم تقييم مستوى الضوضاء الناتج عن أجهزة توليد الصوت في البصرة. تم عمل القياسات الصوتية باستخدام جهاز قياس
مستوى الصوت الرقمي SL 814 ، المدى: )130 - 40 ديسيبل(. تم إجراء القياسات على مسافات 100 سم من كل
مصدر ، وتم فحص ما مجموعه خمس آالت لتحديد الضوضاء المتولدة ومستواها في كل من هذه المسافات. أظهرت
النتائج أن متوسط مستويات الضوضاء المحيطة حول هذه اآلالت كانت أدنى لمكبس أو مضخة الهواء المصدر )2S )
الذي كان يتراوح بين 84.5 ديسيبل عند 600 سم و 98 ديسيبل عند 100 سم وأعلى للمصدر 5S( المثقاب المطرقي
او مطرقة الحفر( التي يتراوح بين 125.5 ديسيبل عند 600 سم و 130 ديسيبل عند 100 سم تشير هذه النتيجة إلى
أن األشخاص الذين يعملون حول المصدر 5S أكثر تعر ًضا للضوضاء وبالتالي أكثر عرضة للتأثيرات الصحية المرتبطة
بالضوضاء. تتجاوز النتائج في 5S مستوى الضوضاء الموصى به وهو 90 ديسيبل من أجل التعرض لمدة 8 ساعات
بواسطة OSHA. أشار تحليل تأكيدي على اإلزعاج واالنزعاج العام وضعف السمع المؤقت إلى أن األشخاص حول
هذه المناطق يتأثرون بالفعل بجهل من مصادر الضوضاء هذه.

Abstract

One of the results of industrial oil activity in Iraq is the high rates of pollution with heavy metals
associated with this activity. Heavy metals pollution has a serious environmental problem as a result of
the threat it poses to natural water resources, thus they become very dangerous to both aquatic and
terrestrial life. Heavy metals have slow and non-infinite toxicity to the environment, as they are not
biodegradable; therefore, the bio-adsorption technology using agricultural waste products such as Corn
Husk and Corn Cob waste products becomes contemporary aspirations. The experiments of adsorption
of lead ion by the Corn Husk and Corn Cob were done in the batch experiment and different influencing
factors, such as (time, mixing speed, pH, and temperature) was studied for getting the optimum condition
in the adsorption process. The adsorption studies showed that the capacity of the Corn Cob to adsorbed
lead ions from the industrial wastewater samples more than the capacity adsorption of the Corn Husk
that was 2.7042 mgg-1
, 79.05% under optimized conditions 20 minutes, 100 rpm, pH 5.5 and 55ºC, while
the adsorption capacity of the Corn Husk was 0.7109 mgg-1 , 55.38% under optimized conditions 30
minutes, 100 rpm, pH 4.5 and 15ºC. A characterization study using the Fourier-transforms infrared
spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) indicated a good ability of Corn waste
products to adsorb Lead, where they have many functional groups can help in adsorption and they
showed morphological changing after adsorption of Lead as indicated by SEM images.

Abstract

يعد التلوث بالمعادن الثقيلة في العراق من أبرز المشاكل المرتبطة بالصناعات النفطية. ان تلوث المياه بالمعادن الثقيلة يعتبر من
المشاكل البيئية الخطيرة وذلك نتيجة" لما يسببه من تهديد لمصادر المياه الطبيعية والذي بدوره يشكل مصدر من مصادر الخطورة لكل
من الحياة على اليابسة والحياة المائية. ان للمعادن الثقيلة تأثير سمي المتناهي وبطيء على البيئة كونها غير قابلة للتكسير الحيوي وبذلك
تعتبر تقنية االمتزاز الحيوي باستخدام البقايا النباتية كبقايا كل من كالح الذرة واوراق الكالح من الحلول المعاصرة كونها غير مكلفة
وصديقة للبيئة ومتوفرة بكثرة وسهولة تطبيقها. في الدراسة الحالية تم اجراء تجربة امتزاز ايونات الرصاص بواسطة كل من كالح الذرة
واوراق الكالح في ظروف مختلفة تحت عوامل متعددة شملت )الزمن، سرعة الرج، الدالة الحامضية، ودرجة الحرارة( وذلك للحصول
على الظروف المثلى بالنسبة لعملية االمتزاز. بينت النتائج ان قابلية كالح الذرة المتزاز عنصر الرصاص أكبر من قابلية ورق الكالح
-1mgg حيث سجلت قابلية امتزاز
2.7042 ونسبة مئوية %79.05 للرصاص من مخلفات المياه الصناعية الملوثة تحت الظروف المثلى
لالمتزاز لتلك العوامل المدروسة حيث كانت كالتالي: الزمن المثالي 20 دقيقة، سرعة الرج 100 دورة /دقيقة، الدالة الحامضية لالمتزاز
-1mgg كانت عند االس الهيدروجين ،5.5 درجة حرارة المثلى 55 درجة مئوية. بينما سجلت قابلية ورق الكالح
0.7109 ونسبة مئوية
%55.38 المتزاز عنصر الرصاص من مخلفات المياه الصناعية تحت الظروف المثلى لالمتزاز كالتالي: الزمن المثالي 30 دقيقة،
سرعة الرج 100 دورة /دقيقة، الدالة الحامضية لالمتزاز كانت عند االس الهيدروجين ،4.5 درجة حرارة المثلى 15 درجة مئوية.
وباستخدام التقنيات الحديثة كطيف االشعة تحت الحمراء)IR-FT )والمجهر االلكتروني )SEM )حيث بينت قابلية جيدة لبقايا نبات الذرة
المتزاز ايونات الرصاص، ذلك من خالل وجود العديد من المواقع الفعالة يمكنها المساعدة في االمتزاز كما وبينت وجود تغيرات مظهرية
بعد عملية االمتزاز أليونات للرصاص وذلك كان واضحا" من خالل صور المجهر االلكتروني.

Abstract

During 2018, a study has been carried out to determine the distribution of aliphatic hydrocarbons in
the sediment of five locations in Al-Hammar marsh which are (Lusan Harer, Almusahab, Almultaka,
Alnakara and Alburka) respectively. Analyses were done for the determination of N-alkanes
concentrations by using gas chromatography. The total n-alkane concentration ranged between (6.176)
μg/g dry weight at (Alburka) to (8.835) μg/g dry weight recorded at (Almusahab). The main sources of
N-alkanes were anthropogenic according to CPI, while the sources according to pristine/phytane were
pyrogenic value at all sites.

تناولت الدراسة الحالية قياس وتوزيع المركبات األليفاتية )األلكانات( في رو اسب هور الحمار ولخمسة مناطق هي )لسان
حرير والمسحب والملتقى والنكاره والبركة( خالل فصل الشتاء من عام ,2018 حيث تم قياس تركيز األلكانات االعتيادية باستخدام
جهاز كروماتوغرافيا الغاز )GC), ووجد أن تركيز االلكانات قد تراوح من )6.17 مايكروغرام للغرام الواحد( في البركة إلى )8.835
مايكرو غرام للغرام الواحد( كوزن جاف في منطقة المسحب، وبينت الدراسة أن المصدر الرئيسي لهذه االلكانات غير طبيعي نسبة إلى
قياس معامل التفضيل الكاربوني )CPI)، كما لوحظ أن بعض التراكيز تعود إلى مصادر طبيعية نسبة إلى البرستين والفايتين )phy/pri).

Abstract

The water quality of East Hammar marsh was evaluated using Principal Component Analysis (PCA)
and Water Quality Index (WQI) of the Canadian Council of Environment Ministers (CCME), water
samples were Collected monthly from three different stations of the marsh for the period from January
to December 2018. The samples were analyzed for 15 physiochemical parameters of water quality:
temperature, concentration of Hydrogen ion (pH), salinity, dissolved oxygen, BOD, COD, total
hardness, calcium, magnesium, sulfate, phosphate, nitrate, sodium, bicarbonate. The result of the
evaluation was that the quality of water in the East Hammar marsh, was poor in terms of protection of
aquatic life, irrigation and drinking. The general index value was 31, 29 and 25 for the three stations
respectively.

تم تقييم نوعية مياه هور شرق الحمار الذي يعد أحد اهم اهوار جنوب العراق الرئيسية من ناحية صالحيتها للحياة المائية وللري باستخدام
تقنية تحليل المكونات األساسي )PCA )ودليل نوعية المياه لمجلس وزراء البيئة الكندي WQI .CCME- جمعت عينات المياه شهريا
من ثالث محطات متفرقة من المنطقة للمدة من كانون الثاني لغاية كانون األول عام 2018 وتم تحليل 15 من المعايير الفيزوكيميائية
لجودة المياه وهي: درجة الحرارة ، تركيز أيون الهيدروجين (pH(، الملوحة، األوكسجين المذاب، ال BOD، ال COD، العسر الكلية،
الكالسيوم، المغنسيوم، الكبريتات، الفوسفات، النترات، الصوديوم، البيكربونات. نتيجة التقييم كانت هي ان نوعية مياه هور شرق الحمار
ضعيفة بالنسبة لحماية الحياة المائية وللري وللشرب وكانت قيمة الدليل العامة 31 و29 و25 للمحطات الثالث على التوالي اعتمادا على
دليل النوعية وبذلك صنفت المحطات الثالثة ضمن فئة فقيرة Poor طيلة مدة الدراسة
