Iraqi Journal of Bioscience and Biomedical (IJBB), is a biannual peer-reviewed scientific journal (since 2024) issued by the College of Biotechnology / Al-Nahrain University. It publishes scientific research in the following fields:

Publishing Instructions

Do not submit before checking you stick to the journal guideline before submitting and fix the title of the file you submitting as text file or the short title of the manuscript otherwise the journal rejects the submission or ignored it. The journal requests a certification of improving of English language (cta-editing@orokom.org).

These instructions contain three sections, namely: (research template, writing references, instructions for authors), and as below:

Do not submit without ensuring that you adhere to the journal\'s pre-submission guidelines and specify the title of the file you are submitting as a text file or the short title of the manuscript, otherwise the journal will reject or ignore the submission. The journal requests the linguistic auditor’s report (Arabic and English) after the research paper is accepted by the reviewers.

These instructions contain three sections: (research template, writing references, instructions for authors), as follows:

1- Manuscript template:

– The manuscript must be written in English with an Arabic abstract only.

-An abstract must be submitted in Arabic (200 to 300 words) with the names and affiliations of the authors.

-Prepare text using MS Word 2010 or later.

Paper size: A4, margins must be 0.8 inches in all directions (top, bottom, right, left). The submitted manuscript contains only one column.

- Font type: Times New Roman.

-Title: font size 16, bold, medium.

-Names of authors: font size 10, bold, medium.

- Author titles: font size 10, must include the email address and mobile phone number of the main author.

-Emails and ORCID websites of all authors must be included in the manuscript.

- Main titles of the manuscript (abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion, references): font size 11, in bold.

-Keywords are written under the summary (five to six keywords) in order and according to the alphabet using English letters.

- Manuscript text: font size 11.

- The word “shape” is used in its entirety as a title under the shape or what it represents and is used anywhere in the text

-The tables and figures in the results are placed in the aforementioned sequence and not at the end of the manuscript.

-All numbers are written in the Arabic numeral system (example: 1,2,3,.....)

- Authors can separate the results or combine them with the discussion.

- -The spacing between lines and paragraphs should be 1.15

2- Writing references

References are numbered in sequential order in the text, table, or figure. Arabic numbers are placed when mentioning the reference. For example, one number indicates the first reference used in the written manuscript and is included as the first list of references at the end of the manuscript.

- References are written in English only (nature style).

-20% of references are published in journals indexed by Scopus.

-80% of the references are recent and fall within the last 5 years.

*Note*: The author must cite at least two research papers published in the journal
