Abstract
This study has been carried out on six samples of local and imported cement to determine concentrations
of Rn-222 and U-238. The study showed that the minimum concentration of both Rn-222 and U-238 was
in the cement of Hamam- AL Aleel with 17.9kBq.m-3
( 15.93 Bq.kg-1
) and 1.29 ppm respectively, while the
maximum concentration was in the Turkish cement with 60.3kBq.m-3
( 53.6 Bq.kg-1
) and 4.342 ppm
respectively. The obtained results were within the range of the allowed values and have no influence on
the health and environment.

أجريت ىذه الد ا رسة عمى ستة أنواع من السمنت المحمي والمستورد المستعمل في محافظة نينوى لمكشف عن ت ا ركيزال ا ردون) Rn-222 ( واليو ا رنيوم ) U-238 ( في ىذه النماذج . ووجدت الد ا رسة أن اقل تركيز لم ا ردون واليو ا رنيوم كان في سمنت حمامالعميل وىي 15.93 Bq.Kg-1 ) ) 17.9kBq.m-3 لم ا ردون و ppm 1.291 لميو ا رنيوم وأعمى تركيز كان في عينة السمنت التركيوبمغت ) 53.6 Bq.kg-1 ) 60.3kBq.m-3 لم ا ردون و 4.342 ppm لميو ا رنيوم وىذه القيم جميعيا مسموح بيا عالميا ولا تؤثر عمىالصحة أو البيئة
