The present study investigates the impact of Post and Brennan strategy in Teaching Animal Physiology in developing Mind Habits and the 21st Century Skills for biology students.
The study sample consisted of (56) male and female biology students, Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences Al Muthanna University, who have studied subjects in Animal Physiology in the first semester, academic year 2016-2017.
The tools of the study included both the scale of Mind Habits, which was limited to measuring the habits of (Persisting , Managing Impulsivity , Striving for Accuracy and Precision , Thinking about Thinking ); and also a scale for the21st Century Skills of (Communication and interpersonal skills, Decision Making and Solve Problems, Academic Skills ) .
Both scales were pre- and post- applied on the study group. The study conclude ed the following:
1.The existence of statistical significance in differences (at the level of significance
( 0.05) between the average of both pre-performance and post-performance in the experimental group in the Mind Habits scale in favour of the experimental group performance.
2.The existence of statistical significance in differences (at the level of significance
( 0.05) between the average of both pre-performance and post-performance in the experimental group in relation to the 21st Century Skills scale in favour of the experimental group performance. Also, the study concluded at some recommendations and suggestions.

Novel low-cost Polyaniline (PANI)-single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT or SWCNT) nanocomposite - based hole transport materials (HTMs) as substitutes to the expensive HTM Spiro-OMeTAD have been synthesized and designed for the applications in solid-state dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSCs). The HTMs were prepared through a facile steps reaction from cheap starting material. These HTMs exhibit good solubility and charge-transport ability. The DSSCs based on PANI-SWNTs achieved power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 1.55% under air conditions, that is comparable to the cells employing the normally used Spiro-OMeTAD (1.827%). For DSSCs, we found that the solar cells synthesized based on vertical ZnO nanowire arrays by using a mixture paste of PMII, LiI and solid iodine as electrolyte SWNT enable better photovoltaic performance than that of pure PANI. These results show that easily synthesized PANI-SWNTs- HTMs have great prospect to replace the expensive Spiro-OMeTAD for DSSCs.

Breast cancer is presently the greatest common malignant disease detected in women worldwide. The breast cancer occurs as a result of transformations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 when the cells injured, by chemicals in tobacco, exposure to radiation and infected with oncogenic viruses such as a Human papilloma virus, BRCA1 and BRCA2 are human genes which make tumor silencer proteins. This study was carried out to investigate the presence of mutation (5382insC and 6174delT) in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, respectively (to determent the effect of HPV of human genes) by gene polymorphism amplification-refractory mutation system-PCR (ARMS-PCR) technique. The ARMS-PCR assay was performed for detection BRCA1 (185delAG) and BRCA2 (6174delT) gene mutation in breast cancer blood patients infected with HPV. The ARMS technique which revealed that out of 32 malignant breast tumors 5 (15.6%) cases carry a 5382insC mutation in BRCA1 gene, and no 6174delT mutation was recorded in BRCA2 gene. The 5382insC polymorphisms recorded in BRCA1 gene, and the HPV may induce it, while no evidence of the BRCA2 6174delT polymorphism, This may indicate that there is no correlation between this mutation and HPV.

The present work is a theoretical study of the electronic properties of alloyed double metal ring (ADMR) threaded by magnetic flux. The system that takes into account in the study is consisting of two rings connected parallel, with two different types of atomic sites. This work having; two parts. The first part a calculation of the energy spectrum, persistent current, Drude weight and low-field magnetic susceptibility of ADMR by the tight-binding method. While the second part is a is a computation of electronic properties of the alloyed double metal ring by density functional theory (DFT). The latter part is considered as a simulation of what was studied in the first part. The results, of our proposed work show that the on-site energies for both types of atoms, inter-ring coupling strength and hopping strengths play an important role in controlling the electronic properties.

the hazardous materials are among the materials that have received the attention of the iraqi legislator and most of the countries of the woeld because of the damage caused by these materials to the environment and the human being that may coutinue for many years, which necessitated the appropriate administrative intervention in order to regulate the method and mechanism of dealing with it in criminal terms, the legislator did not lose sight of the criminal protection of those articales, wich are no longer adequately regulated by the administrative organization, in order to prevent their grave harm, which led to the development of an integrated framework to provide balanced legal regulation to protect against hazadous substances hazardous materials as well as specify the means of dealing with them and the illegal dealings and accordingly determine the penalty that the legislator considers appropriate to commit the crime of dealing with hazardous materials. The criminal legal organization for dealing with hazardous materials is a step forward from the criminal legislator. Current and subsequent generation through the provision of a healthy and appropriate environment for human life as created by god almighty and guided and ridiculed to man.

The present study showed some histological properties of skeletal muscles in Gymnura micrura belong to the family Dasyatidae, specimens of fish collected from the AL-Fao area in Iraqi territorial waters with assistance from a fisherman. The results declare two types of cartilage that can be distinguished: hyaline cartilage, which constitutes a large percentage of the cartilage mass, in addition to the presence of another type, the elastic cartilage. The results showed that the diameter of red muscle fibers alternated between (22.30 - 37.17 microns), while it alternated between (44.61 – 104.09 microns) of the white muscle fibers diameter in studied fish, this difference possibly attributed to the functional role of white and red muscle fibers and their effect in the mechanics of movement.

As a result of existence of optical defects at the center of radius of curvature such as tilting and decentering because of non accuracy of processing after polishing and cementing operations. Theoretical and analytical studies depending on Liou and Brennan model (LBME) was done in addition to design and construct a system to test the effect of tilting and decentering on the MTF of the system with pupil diameter of 3 and 4.5 measured in (mm). The geophysical testing is increasingly being employed in many geotechnical applications. It is preferred in monitoring the mechanical characteristics of the ground because of its economy, not time consuming and non-destructive nature. Seismic wave test is one of the geophysical methods which showed a potential in observing the general behaviour of the reinforced soil with stone columns. Findings in most cases showed that the seismic wave measurements was integrated with or compared to the conventional tests such as standard penetration test or cone penetration test. There was a noticeable success in identifying the enhancement achieved to the ground upon the strengthening with the column, specifically when the associated surveys can produce a clear image of the underground which interprets the variation in the soil properties not prior to the soil treatment only, but even after the treatment occurring. However, from practical point of view, there were still some restrictions with applying such a method, specifically relating to the extent of data gathered, technical concerns and the difficulty of measuring the waves or interpreting results with the presence of ground water. This paper summarizes the recent publication work concerning this technique with a key focus on advantages and limitations within this type of ground improvement.

The seismic force has very important effects in the response of offshore structures and it is considered as applied dynamic forces. The seismic must be taken in consideration in designing stage due to their high effects on the safety of platform under earthquake. In this paper a comparison in response between offshore structures with fixed support at sea bed and with embedded piling support. AL-Basrah oil port (ABOP) is taken in consideration as a case study where two models are used, in the first model the pile –soil interaction (PSI) is neglected and the fixed support is used in the level of sea bed however in the second model, the effect of pile –soil interaction is considered. For two models the finite element analysis was performed in linear behavior for piles and deck while the soil is treated as nonlinear. The results are shown that the natural frequency for fixed support is more than for structure with piling support and the responses are more influenced by the near in frequency between structure and seismic action .

This article deals with the Suq al-Shuyukh uprising in 1935,which erupted against the Yasin al-Hashimi government policy towards Suq al-Shuyukh region on 9 May. the uprising had been supported by the Sheikh Kashif al-Ghita, But the government had succeeded in eliminating the uprising.
The article divides into an introduction and two sections and a conclusion which included the most important conclusions of the article. The first section deals with addresses the political situation in the Suq al-Shuyukh (1921- 1935), and singled out the two section and the latter for uprising Suq al-Shuyukh in 1935, and the conclusion includes the causes and developments in the Suq al-Shuyukh uprising in 1935, as well as the reasons of its failure.

Hematological and serum parameters are a prerequisite to understand the normal functioning of the system and to confirm the nontoxic nature of the administered crude drug. Hematological parameters such as mean platelet volume (MPV) and RBCs count are associated with the increased risk for cardio vascular diseases CVD. Octacosanol is the major effective component of policosanol forming about (62.9%), it has antioxidative, lipid lowering, antithrombotic (antiplatelet) effects and provides protection against free radical associated diseases. Statins are the inhibitors of hydroxymethyl glutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA) reductase. They are mostly used to treat hyperlipidaemia. Statins such as atorvastatin and some of medical plants have shown their beneficial effect on the cardiovascular disease (CVD) by virtue of their lipid lowering, antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. The present study was designed to compare some of hematological parameters after treatment of extracted octacosanol and atorvastatin in female Norwegian rats. Thirty two females rat with (10-12) weeks old-and weighting (200-250 gm) were used in the current study. Policosanol was extracted from sugarcane that obtained from Mesan province. Octacosanol is determined in this extraction by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Animals were divided into 4 equal groups: G.1 (n=8) (Control) : only 0.5 ml/ animal of Dimethyl Sulphoxide (DMSO). G.2 (n=8) animals treated with (0.02 mg/ animal) of standard octacosanol . G.3 (n=8) animals treated with (0.02mg/ animal) of octacocosanol extraction, G. 4 (n=8) treated with only (0.02mg/ animal) of atorvastatine. The treatment continued for 30 days. All animals were then sacrificed and blood samples were collected in EDTA tubes for measuring of hematological parameters. Results: all hematological parameters (RBCs, Hb, MCV, MCH and MCHC) in group treated with extracted octacosanol were nearby the control group except platelet count and MPV level were lower than those of control group, while platelet count and MPV were higher in extracted group than those in the Atorvastatin group (all P≤0.05). In conclusion: The antiplatelet activity of the extracted octacosanol is more than atorvastatin and without side effects. So the extracted octacosanol successfully used in prevention of platelet aggregation and thrombosis in patients with CVD.

The plants represent one of the important sources that can produce antimicrobial agents. So, this study was designed to evaluate the ability of the local Conocarpus spp leaves to detect their bioactivity against some microbial pathogens. The filtrate produced by soaking the dried methanol pulverized leaves in the distilled water revealed a bioactivity against three clinical pathogenic isolates were Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans recorded 25, 15 and 31 mm of the inhibitory zones respectively. The isolates besides Streptococcus mutans were inhibited by the crude chloroform extract of the filtrate in which the inhibitory zones were 16, 19, 28 and 15 mm respectively. The GC-MS analysis revealed that the crude chloroform extract contains seven compounds besides DMSO as solvent were [ethanone,1,1'-(1,4-phenylene)bis-], [benzene, 4-methoxy-1-nitro-2-( trifluoromethyl)-], [cholan-24-oic acid, 3,6-bis(acetyloxy)- methyl ester (3,alpha., 5.beta., and 6.alpha)], [terephthalic acid, isobutyl 2-phenylethyl ester], [1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amine, 5-(4-bromophenyl)-], [1H-indole, 5-methyl-2-phenyl-], and [benzo [h]quinolone, 2,4-dimethyl-].

The objective of this study is concerned with clarification of the impact of the adoption of the activity-based costing system in private hospitals in Basrah Governorate because the Activity-based costing system, if adopted, will contribute to reduce the cost of health services. It will also facilitate the measurement of the cost health services and the identification of obstacles that may arise and impede its application in these hospitals. For the purpose of the study, six private hospitals were chosen as study samples; they are (Al-Nour, Ibn Al-Bitar, Saadi, Rahma, Mowasat and Moussawi) for the period from April to July 2018. The researcher conducted a questionnaire survey in the aforesaid hospitals to collect data and information, adopting the descriptive approach in his study to fathom the impact of the adoption of the cost-based system of activity in maximizing profitability of private hospitals. He also used the inductive method to test the hypotheses of the study, distributing (96) forms of questionnaire and (16) regular forms among the study members, who responded to the questions in the questionnaire and the returned forms represented (100%) of distributed forms. He also used the statistical package program (SPSS) to analyze the results that the study reached at, where frequency, percentages, computations, standard deviations, simple regression testing and analysis of mono-variance were also used. The researcher concluded that reduction of expenses and costs of services would positively contribute to the maximization of profitability as considered one of the most important indicators of the measurement of success. The study also came out with the fact that senior management of the private hospitals in question did not believe in the feasibility of implementing the cost-based accounting system because it is very costing or because the management did not have the wish to apply it. However, all participants in the study agreed on the importance of an active cost accounting system in pricing of health services, which in turn leads to maximize profitability because the traditional cost system is unable to address the allocation of indirect costs of various activities in the performance of private hospitals, and to make proper decisions such as pricing decisions for health services

The study aims at identity of the efficiency of the quality of the water in the province of Dhi Qar according to the concentration of TDS and Turbidity as one of the most important indicators in the assessing of environmental and health quality of water. This was done through the data obtained from concerned Government Departments, as well as the field work by collecting four samples for both the raw water and the supply waters and water after the purification, during Summer (July and August) and the same for the winter (January and February) of 2017, distributed within 20 administrative units of the province of Dhi Qar, a total of 480 samples. The results showed significant spatial differences in the water quality among the administrative units in the study area on the one hand, and a significant increase in concentrations of TDS and Turbidity of the piped waters, as well as exceeding their concentrations of the recommended guideline.

This research, entitled "The Effect of Meaning in the General and Specific rules in Arabic Syntax'', aims to identify the impact of meaning in the general rules of inference in theory and practice. It also aims to prove that the effect of meaning in this kind of rules is considered a basic pillar on which the specialists in syntax depend in foundation of Arabic syntax.
