Escherichia coli is a facultative anaerobic Gram-negative bacterium from the Enterobacteriaceae family that colonizes the gastrointestinal tract. Teucrium polium L is a medicinal plant growing in the western Mediterranean region. Different studies aim to determining the stages at which E. coli growth is more sensitivity to certain concentration of medicinal plant like Alcoholic and aqueous extract of Teucrium polium and their effective concentration based on the zone of inhibitions on plate that previously inoculate with Escherichia coli and the plant extracts and utilized to monitor growth of bacteria. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of plant extracts on E.coli growth.

This study investigates the use of agricultural byproducts of plants (Phragmites australis) as low-cost adsorbents for the removal of Cu2+ and Mn2+ from their aqueous solutions through the production of (AC). The results showed that the adsorption equilibrium time for both ions was 30 minutes. The results obtained showed that pH=5, pH=6 for Cu2+ and Mn2+ respectively were optimum to adsorption for these ions. The study showed that the weight (0.5 g) of the adsorbent was ideal to achieve the best adsorption and the ability of the adsorbents to adsorb metal ions was as follows: Cu(II) > Mn(II).

This study includes the manufacture of two sets of composite materials consisting of polymethyl methacrylate reinforced with natural fibers. The first (R) group included eight layers of cotton with one layer of hair in the middle, and the second (O) group included six layers of cotton with three layers of burlap in the middle. The thermal conductivity of the two groups was checked using a Lee disc to identify the thermal conductivity (K), of group R 0.0771 w/m.c, and of group O 0.0754 w/m.c. These values are considered good as the material has good thermal insulation due to its low thermal conductivity values and is therefore suitable for use in prosthetic limbs as it can preserve the body temperature from external influences.

The study area is located on both limbs of Himreen South Mountain, approximately 150 km northeast of Baghdad city alongside Baghdad- Kirkuk main road. Injana Geoheritage sites are interesting to consider for this study's geological conservation. It includes five national geological sites. The first interesting site of vertebrate fossils that showed the significance of the evolution of life. It also includes twenty-one species of vertebrate fossils within a pebbly sand bed in the Mukdadiya formation in late Miocene-Pliocene. The second interesting volcanic activity showed the significance of structural features. That involved feature showed volcanic ash deposited in the Mukdadiya formation during the late Miocene–Pliocene. The third interesting depositional environment showed the significance of ancient environments. The third site includes some ancient environments, such as a closed lagoon in the Fatha formation, fluvial in the Injana formation as well as fluvial or lacustrine environments in the Mukdadiya formation. The fourth interesting economic deposit showed the significance of rock types. That contains some industrial rocks and building materials such as gypsum in the Fatha formation and gravel and sand in the Mukdadiya formation and in the Quaternary sediments. The fifth interesting burnt hill showed the significance of surface and subsurface features. That contains unaltered and baked sediments capped by fused rocks. The suggested study areas are perhaps protected as a national geoheritage sites because of the inventory characterizations of geosites criteria, besides it is considered the first study on the national geoheritage in Iraq.

In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on nanomaterials, particularly in the realm of medical applications. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are widely recognized as a significant class of oxides of metals due to their inherent structural stability, little toxic effects, and ability to maintain cellular integrity. One of the most important medicinal uses of zinc oxide is medication administration. Twenty-four male albinos’ rats were randomly separated into four groups. Control group, diabetic group, diabetic group treated with insulin, and diabetic group treated with ZnO NPs loaded with insulin. The rats were given medication for 28 days. Diabetes mellitus was induced in the rats with blood sugar levels more than 250 mg/dL by administering alloxan intraperitoneally at a dose of 120 mg/kg. The nanoparticles' physicochemical properties were investigated using a variety of analytical techniques, including UV-Vis spectral analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM). The data revealed significant increases in glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride and total oxidative stress (TOS) as well as a notable decrease in body weight and catalase levels, in the diabetic control group compared to the healthy control group (P< 0.05). Compared to control groups, ZnO NPs loaded with insulin lower total cholesterol, triglycerides and TOS on the other hand increase body weight and catalase levels. The results of our study indicate that the use of photo-synthesized ZnO-NPs in combination with insulin showed noteworthy antidiabetic benefits when compared to the control groups.

Pesticides can be define as any substance or mixture of substances, which used to control damaging pests such as insects, When pesticides applied, the impacts begin to appear on human, plants, or animals, these toxic compounds (pesticides) have been engaged in various disorders and diseases including cancer In this study, new strain of bacillus species were identification in Iraqi environments and test their ability to degrade the pesticides that was used usually in agricultural fields. The samples taken from agricultures areas in Al-Zubaydiya, Wasit Governorate and cultured on agar, three temperatures 25, 30, and 35 °C were chosen. Also, three pH values of 5, 7, and 9 for this purpose, three concentrations of spinetoram pesticide 600, 1200, and 1800 ppm were used. The results at a temperature of 35 ° and pH 9 and 7 were the optimum conditions with removal ratios of 99 %, 97 % or 94 % respectively at 600 ppm of spinetoram
