The ports of the Arabian Gulf in general, and the ports of Bahrain in particular, have enjoyed flourishing trade since ancient times and the Islamic era. Bahrain›s commercial port, the Port of Darain, was an important port that helped support Bahraini trade, represented by the famous Dari musk, pearls, and other minerals. تمتعت موانئ الخليج العربي بشكل عام، وموانئ البحرين بشكل خاص بازدهار التجارة فيها منذ العصور القديمة والعصور الإسلامية، فكانت موانئ البحرين التجارية - ميناء داريـن- من الموانئ المهمة الذي ساعد على رفد التجارة البحرينية متمثلتًا بالمسك الـــــداري واللؤلؤ وغيرها من المعادن التي ذاع صيتها، فضلا عن تأثيرها في الجوانب الدينية ( دخول الإسلام) والجانب السياسي فيها على مختلف العصور.
