This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic adaptation among a sample of gifted students in intermediate and high schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The study also seeks to examine the differences between group means in emotional intelligence and academic adaptation due to demographic variables (gender and school level). In addition, the study aims to examine the role of emotional intelligence in predicting the level of academic adaptation. The researcher performed the descriptive, correlational, predictive, and comparative approaches to collect the data from a sample comprised of (309) gifted students using the emotional intelligence scale developed by Bar-on (2000), which was translated by the researcher, and the academic adaptation scale developed by Alabdalat (2008). The study findings showed a medium level of emotional intelligence and academic adaptation among the study sample, and no correlation was found between emotional intelligence and academic adaptation. In addition, the findings revealed statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence between males and females in favor of females, and between students’ school level in favor of secondary school. Moreover, there are statistically significant differences in academic adaptation between males and females in favor of males, and no differences were found due to school level. The findings also indicated that emotional intelligence had no role in predicting the level of academic adaptation. In light of the study results, the researcher recommends developing appropriate counseling programs to improve gifted students’ emotional intelligence, which may play a positive role in their academic adaptation.

The aim of the research is to measure the change in the impact of the factors of the Corona pandemic on psychological sensitivity and COVID-19 phobia in a sample of Bisha University students and to detect the differences in the phobia (phobia) Covid-19 among the sample members in the measurement before the ban and after the ban was opened, in addition to the differences in psychological sensitivity of The sample has between sizes before and after the spread of the Corona pandemic, as well as the differences in them according to the gender variable (male, female). The researcher relied on the comparative approach. The scale of psychological sensitivity and COVID-19 phobia was applied to a sample of (62) male and female respondents. The results revealed significant differences in COVID-19 pre-post-phobia in favor of post-measurement, there are no differences found between pre-post- in reactive and emotional sensitivity. In addition, there are no significant differences in these dimensions regarding gender

This study aims to identify the teaching problems that teachers of students with intellectual disabilities face, in addition to exploring the solutions suggested by them in order to overcome such problems or challenges. The researchers used a qualitative approach in order to understand the teachers' perceptions about these problems in a more in-depth way. The interview tools (in-depth and semi-structured interviews) were used to collect data from (3) female teachers from special education programs in the Asir region. The results revealed a number of themes including problems related to students, teachers and the teaching methods they use, curricula, school environment, and school administration. Moreover, the results indicated that family can be involved in some issues and problems related to teaching their children. According to the results, the researchers provided and discussed suggestions and recommendations.

The current study aims to develop a proposed educational program based on augmented reality (AR) technology, in addition to assessing its effectiveness in developing research and historical imagination skills of the Humanities Track's female students at the secondary stage, as well as assessing the correlative and predictive relationships between the amount of growth for the two dependent variables. To achieve this, a secondary school in the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah was chosen, and an available random sample of (30) female students from the study population was selected. The quasi-experimental approach was followed by this study, particularly one group design. In addition, two tools were used to collect study data, namely: a test of situations for historical searching skills, and a classroom observation card about historical imagination skills. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data of the study by using SPSS. The results of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤0.01) between the mean scores of the study group in the pre and post-applications in the test of situations for historical searching skills, and classroom observation card about historical imagination skills on the side of the post application. In addition, the results showed that there was a significant (high) impact of the proposed educational program on the study sample, as the coefficient of impact for the two dependent variables reached (4.94, and 5.07) respectively, and the Black coefficient of the two independent variables reached (1.32،1.30) respectively, which can be indicative of the high effectiveness of the two dependent variables of the educational program. At the significance of (a≤0.01) between the two dependent variables, a strong positive correlation was proved by the findings, as the correlation coefficient mounted to (0.850). Furthermore, a liner predictive correlation was revealed by the findings, as the value of (b) reached (19.204, 038.) respectively at the significance of (α ≤0.01) between the two dependent variables for searching and historical imagination skills, which raised each of them to the other one's level. Study results led to a number of conclusions, as well as recommendations and proposals that were appropriate.

The study aims to investigate the degree of student teachers at Sultan Qaboos University acquired skills in teaching Arabic via a virtual micro-teaching lab, as well as to reveal the difficulties they faced and their development proposals. To do this, the researchers developed a questionnaire divided into four dimensions: planning, implementation, evaluation, and
ethical values for the teaching profession, in addition to two open-ended questions to identify difficulties and suggestions. It was administered to (30) student teachers. The results revealed that the average degree of student-teacher acquisition of skills was high in its four dimensions. It ranged between (39.2) to (82.2), while the overall average was (56.2).
It also showed that the most difficulty faced by student teachers was in implementing classroom situations. It was (44%) represented in loss of direct communication with students, where the training suggestions got the highest percentage (9.46%). The research concluded with a set of recommendations,
including continuing efforts in training student teachers on interactive applications for distance learning and increasing teaching lab hours, where student teachers can repeat practical applications.

This study aims to identify the degree of Arabic language teachers at the secondary stage possessing the teaching competencies necessary to develop the skills of literary savor among their students from the perception of educational leaders in Bisha Province. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used by adopting a comprehensive survey method. The study sample consisted of (48) school principals and Arabic language supervisors in Bisha Province who supervise the teaching of Arabic language at the secondary level in Bisha Province. The necessary data was collected using a questionnaire. The results of the study revealed that the evaluation of the study sample for the degree to which Arabic language teachers at the secondary stage possess the teaching competencies necessary to develop literary appreciation skills among their students was medium. In light of this result, the study recommended holding training courses for male and female teachers to raise the level of availability of the teaching competencies necessary to develop their literary savour skills, to encourage them to apply these competencies in the reality of teaching Arabic literature classes and to evaluate their performance.

The current research aims to determine the requirements of Trends of International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS 2019) and to find out the extent to which the content of science textbooks for grades (1-4) in the Sultanate of Oman includes the requirements of (TIMSS 2019). Only the content dimension has been taken into account when conducting the content analysis. The study population includes all science books from the first to the fourth grade for the academic year 2021-2022. The study identified and organized the requirements in the study tool, which is a list of requirements of (TIMSS 2019). The results showed a general deficiency in all grades (1-4) in the content dimension including many main topics, subtopics, and objectives (performance indicators). The results also showed that only 22.80% of TIMSS 2019 requirements have been covered in grade 1, 40.35% in grade 2, 36.84% in grade 3, and 45.61% in grade 4. Additionally, the study discussed the percentage of inclusion of TIMSS 2019 standards in all books cumulatively and found amazingly that the percentage included is close to some extent for each of the three domains to the percentages specified by (TIMSS 2019) but over the course of the four years and not over a period of one year only, which means that the lack of inclusion in a field in one class has been compensated for in another class. The research recommends the need to review the content of science books for grades
(1-4) to make sure that they include the requirements of the TIMSS test that are not available in the content of the books and suggests conducting an analytical study of the same books for the dimension of cognitive processes.

Volunteerism is an element included in many human cultures. It represents a positive cooperative act between individuals and groups. It expresses the social value systems. As a social phenomenon, it develops in societies according to innumerous circumstances and conditions. This study uses a functional approach that assumes that volunteering performs six functions for volunteers. Namely, we assume that volunteering (1) creates a sense of protection (2) meets significant cultural values (3) improves professional status of volunteers, (4) strengthens their social relationships, (5) helps them achieve a better understanding of life, and finally, (6) enhances their outlook and self-esteem. The central aim of the study is to discuss these functions theoretically and then measure them statistically among a sample of students of the American University of Madaba within their social relations of family, friends and colleagues. The study found a set of results, the most important of which are: (1) The above functions range from high to medium, the highest being reinforcement, followed by protection, then occupation, then social dimension, then understanding, and finally values.

Students at secondary school, particularly at the beginning of their academic lives face many difficulties and problems in various psychological, educational, and social fields, which require them to make many decisions and solve problems that may confront them while maintaining their optimism and positivity for life in general and for academic life in particular. Thus, the current study aims to investigate the academic optimism of distinguished students and identify the differences in academic optimism in terms of gender. The researcher applied the scale to a sample of (336) students, (145) males, and (191) females, who were chosen randomly from distinguished schools. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the academic optimism scale (McKinnon, 2012), which consists of (27) items distributed over three domains (collective teacher effectiveness, trust of faculty members in parents and students, and academic focus). The results showed that the distinguished students have academic optimism. There are no statistically significant differences in terms of gender. The researcher came up with a number of conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions. The teaching staff should spread a culture of academic optimism among students.

The research aims to identify the level of Agentic thinking among a sample of male and female undergraduate students for both disciplines (scientific, and humanities). The researcher targeted the third and fourth stages for the academic year
(2021-2022). The study sample is (382) male and female students who were selected randomly from the University of Baghdad. To achieve the above-mentioned study aims. The researcher has developed a scale of Agentic thinking consisting of (25) items distributed over three domains. The results showed that the study sample has a high level of Agentic thinking. There are significant differences in agentive thinking in terms of gender in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences in Agentic thinking according to the specialization. There is no significant correlation between the two variables (gender and specialization).

This study aims to answer the following question: Is a student who attaches to the social group strongly affected by social interaction and social status? The population of the study included a group of medical students at the University of Al-Kufa. To collect the required data, a scale of Social Group Attachment consisting of (25) items was administered to a sample of (600) students, (257) male students, and (343) female students. The results revealed that students do not have a high level of attachment to the social group and they have a fear of that. There are no significant differences between the levels of attachment between males and females. There are no significant differences regarding colleges, the four academic levels, and social status.

The study aims to explore the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on internet addiction among university students. The experimental method was used. The study population consisted of (100) university students (50 males, 50 females). The Research sample included (13) University students at Baghdad University addicted to the Internet (9 males, 4 females), divided into two groups: a control group consisting of (6) individuals (4 males, 2 females) and an experimental sample consisting of (6) individuals (4 males, 2 females). The Scale of Internet Addiction by Young (1996), which was translated and modified into the Arabic language by (Moegel and Prism, 2016), was administered to the study sample. The sample was subjected to two sessions per week that lasted for one month and a half, the time of each session was (45) minutes. The results revealed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group before and after applying the treatment program in favor of the post-measurement. The study came out with a set of recommendations and proposals.

The aim of the research is to design educational software based on Web Quests and to measure its effectiveness in developing information search skills of students at the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The research is experimental in nature using pre-post measurement. The research sample consisted of (91) male and female students from the second grade in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, they were divided into two equal groups; the experimental group consisted of (47) students who adopted the educational software as a studying method, and the control group consisted of (44) students who follow the traditional method. The researchers prepared a list of skills for searching information and they designed an educational program based on Web Quests. The results of the research concluded that the students of the experimental group outperformed the students of the control group in both the cognitive and practical tests of skills for searching information. The results confirm the effectiveness of educational software based on Web Quests in developing information search skills.

The study is concerned with the problem of the earthly identity of kindergarten children by verifying its aims in identifying the earthly identity of the first level of kindergarten children and the earthly identity of both levels of the kindergarten. The research also aims to identify the earthly identity of male and female kindergarten children. The study population is represented in public and private kindergartens on both sides of Baghdad city, Karkh & Rusafa for the academic year (2022-2023). The earthly identity test in its final form consisted of (10) items. The test was administered to a sample of (400) children in public and private kindergartens, who were selected randomly. The results showed that kindergarten children have a good earthly identity. There are no significant differences between males and females in earthly identity according to the two levels of kindergarten. The research came out with a number of recommendations and suggestions.

The current research aims to reveal the strength of education and the direction of the relationship between the formal thinking and learning methods of Kindergarten department students. To achieve this objective, the researcher developed a scale of formal thinking according to the theory of (Inhelder & Piaget 1958) consisting of (25) items in the form of declarative phrases derived from the analysis of formal thinking skills based on a professional situation that students are expected to interact with in a professional way. The research sample consisted of (100) female students selected randomly who were divided into four groups based on the academic stages, the results revealed that The level of formal thinking of the main sample is moderate. The sample was distributed among learning methods in different percentages and in the following descending order (convergent 30%, adaptive 27%, divergent 24%, absorptive 19%). There is a significant difference in terms of the academic levels in favor of the fourth stage. There is a weak negative correlation between the two variables. The research came out with a set of recommendations, including holding training workshops for teachers about the importance and detecting students’ preferred learning methods.

The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral counseling in reducing symptoms of social anxiety and improving social skills among a sample of intermediate school students in the city of Souq Al-Shuyukh at Dhi Qar Governorate. The sample consisted of (40) female students, their ages ranged (14-15). They were selected based on their high scores on the social anxiety scale. The sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group, and a control group, equal in number (20) students in each group. The researcher used the social anxiety scale and the social skills scale. In addition, he used the cognitive-behavioral counseling program, consisting of (11) counseling sessions, with a rate of (45) minutes per session. The contents of the program included the following techniques: cognitive restructuring, relaxation, role-playing, problem-solving, modeling, and gradual immunization. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre-measurement and the mean scores of the post-measurement in social anxiety and social skills among the members of the experimental group in favor of the post-measurement. There are significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in reducing symptoms of social anxiety and improving social skills in favor of the experimental group. There are no significant differences between the post and deferred measurement in social anxiety and social skills among the experimental group members. Thus, the researcher presented a set of suggestions and recommendations based on the results of the study to reduce the level of social anxiety and improve the social skills of intermediate school students.

The current research aims to determine the necessary linguistic competencies for Arabic language teachers of the preparatory stage (fourth grade preparatory), which were five main competencies: Arabic grammar competencies, literary competencies, cultural competencies, rhetorical competencies, and expression competencies. To achieve the objective of the research, the researcher developed a questionnaire as the main tool for collecting data based on literature, it consists of (28) items including the five main competencies. The questionnaire was administered to (60) male and female teachers at Al-Karkh's first Education Directorate in the city of Baghdad. The findings of the research indicated that Arabic language proficiency got the highest percentage compared to the other competencies. Thus, the researcher presented a number of recommendations, including a list of linguistic competencies in the courses of methods of teaching the Arabic language for teachers in the preparatory stage indicating the importance of their acquisition of it.

The current research aims to identify the achievement of goals and the significance of the differences in achieving goals according to the variable of gender (male-female), specialization (scientific-human), and the stage (Master-PhD) for postgraduate students. To achieve the goals of the current research, the researcher developed a scale of achieving goals that was built according to the theory of (Lock & Latham 1990), which was applied to a sample of (257) male and female students who were selected randomly with a proportional distribution for the academic year (2021-2022). The scale of achieving goals consists of (30) items. The current research found that the research sample of postgraduate students has achieved their goals in general, but according to the gender variable (male-female) and the stage (Master-PhD), there are no differences between them. As for the specialization, it was found that there are differences between them in favor of students of scientific specialization. ‏In light of these results, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggestions, as shown in the fourth chapter.

The present study aims to identify the effectiveness of deductive group patterns in developing the creative thinking of second-intermediate-grade pupils in history discipline. The current null hypothesis has been investigated: There are no statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the scores mean of the experimental group pupils who were taught according to the deductive group pattern and the scores mean of the control group pupils who were taught according to traditional method in creative thinking testing. the study sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group of (30) female students and a control group of (31) female students. The two groups are equalized based on the variables of age, the scores of the first course in Islamic history, intelligence, pre-test of creative thinking, and parent educational level. The researcher identifies the teaching content as the fourth and fifth sections selected from the Arabic Islamic history text of the second intermediate grade for the academic year (2015-2016). According to the content, the researcher put (83) behavioral objectives: (44) for the fourth chapter and (39) for the fifth chapter. The researcher adopted the Torrance creative thinking test which was modified by alseid Keerallh (1981). The tool is modified by the researcher to suit the content and ensure its validity and reliability.
