The current study tests the relationship between the leadership style of the team leader and the type of conflict and the effectiveness of the team in a sample of government banks, including (12) branches of Al-Rasheed and Al-Rafidain banks. The study was identified by three main hypotheses, the first was the existence of a correlation between leadership styles and team effectiveness, and the second indicated a correlation between the types of conflict and the effectiveness of the team, while the third indicated a correlation between leadership styles and types of conflict. As a number of statistical methods were relied upon, such as the arithmetic mean, Standard deviation and simple correlation coefficient (Pearson) to prove the validity of the above hypotheses. The results showed the validity of the three hypotheses and the formulation of a set of recommendations in this regard, perhaps the most prominent of which is the interest in strengthening the structure of the work of teams and the adoption of leaders for the style of participatory leadership.
