Abstract
Scientific knowledge has a great importance as one of the scientific
bases through which the teacher's scientific capability can be determined
according to criterion that suit his/her capability and in a way that goes
with the changes of physical sports. Following-up the teacher ways to
get information is important to know what information he has that will
help him in performing his duty in a proper way. It is important to test
these information according to the scientific standers that keep pace with
the evolution. Also, it is important to test them according to the physical
achievements that schools seek to achieve and that is considered as
part of the scientific competition in recent years. The research aims at
making comparative study of Scientific knowledge among teacher of
physical education in Diyala governorate.
The researcher uses the descriptive method. He uses two ways to
fulfill his aims. The first one is the survey method to suit the nature of
the problem. The other one is the use of Aayeed A. Aun's standard for
scientific knowledge of teachers of physical education. This standard is
composed of 76 items. The researcher conducts an exploratory
experiment on a sample of 30 teachers of physical education. Those
teachers have been chosen randomly to check the appropriateness of
the used standard. The items of the checklist are clear for the sample.
Then a study is conducted on the main sample 235 teachers who are
chosen randomly. After collecting the data of the two samples, a
statistical analysis has been conducted using the following statistical
means( mathematic mean, standard deviation and t test. The results
show no significant differences in scientific knowledge among men and
women teachers in Diyala governorate
