The Toxic Activity of Furfural on Three Biocontrol Agents (Trichoderma harzianum , Trichoderma viride ,paceilomyces lilacinus)

Abstract

This research concentrated upon studying the effect of the plant extract of
green tea on the performance of alloy steel type (316) used in surgical the human body
Ringer salution under similar conditions of the human body in terms of temperature and
function acidic pH (7.4) approximately. The rate of addition of the test carried out by
using of the extract in average of 0.1ML a solution of liquid body volume of (1L),
these tests conducted by potentiostatic system model ( M Lab 200) Germany
origin.Furthermore microscopic examination of the sample to determine the changes in
the surface of the sample using an optical microscope, showed that the results of
addition of the extract to the liquid body gave positive results which indicated
improvement performance of the alloy inside the body.

Internet Worm Detection Algorithm Based on its Behavior

Abstract

Internet worm are spread automatically and can spread on its the hosts in a very
short time. Worms may cause congestion in the network, which leads to large queuing
delays, and high packet loss. The Internet is an influential function in the economy and
reckon mainstay to life. Once the internet is broken down, it will cause a huge economic
loss. Internet worm itself to another computer, this way generates a lot of failure
connections. The average of failure connections is the main factor that the research
technique depends on in detecting Internet worm. In this research the reswlts showed
that proposed algorithm can detect a new types of worm that were fast or slow spread.
Moreover, this research showed that proposed algorithm detection result was faster than
traditional algorithm for detecting the worms.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to use Ultrasound waves in decreasing the pollution with
Coliform bacteria in the wastewater which have the ability to kill bacteria exist in the
clay. Thirty samples were collected from wastewater station in Baghdad
University\\Science Collage for Women. Samples exposed to ultrasound waves for
diffrent times, the results showed decreases in the total coliform count with increasing
time of exposure compared with samples before exposure, except exposure to(10)
minutes that showed increases in total coliform count because of releasing bacteria
from clay as a results of particles disintegration by ultrasound waves. other exposure
times showed kill rate as follows:
(15)min./(6.66%),25min./(13.33%),35min./(33.33%),45min./(64.28%),50min./(86.64
%),60min./(90.21%),80min./(93.18%),90min./(97.81%),100min./(99%),120min./
(99.97%). These results showed that using ultrasound waves has the ability to rednce
wastewater pollution with the colifom and can be used with other treatment methods
to reduce chemical material that be used to kill bacteria.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of the seeds germination and some
growth parameters enhancement by Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus which isolated
from soil Rhizospher of okra plant ( Abelmoschus esculentus L.) under lab. and greenhouse
conditions. The experiment was conducted according to RCBD design, and the recorded were
the percentage of seeds germination, plant length , fresh and dry weight of root and shoot
systems. The results of soaking seeds in three concentrations (1× 103, 1 × 104 and 1 × 105 spore
/ ml) for 72 hours showed signification superiority for all tested concentrations in increasing
seeds germination as compared with the control treatment(using D water for seed soaking only)
with signification superiority of 1 × 105 spore / ml in comparison with all tested treatment.
Greenhouse results revealed that all inoculating levels (1, 2, 3 and 5) g / (pot 1 kg soil) were
significantly increased the percentage of seeds germination as compared to the control
untreated treatment. The treatment 2 g / pot 1 kg soil of Aspergillus flavus showed the best plant
length after 45 days of planting, fresh and dry weight of root and shoot systems, while
Aspergillus niger showed that the inoculating level of 3 g / pot 1 kg soil was the best of all
tested growth parameters

Abstract

The bacterial pollution for hazardous medical wastes produced by autoclave
shredder was studied in some local hospitals in Iraq. A modulation has been
introduced to the treatment process which is the use of Ultraviolet light on the
medical wastes after producing from the autoclave shredder in different retention
times in the density of 254 nm, to control and full killing of all kind of microbial life
in the produced medical wastes, therefore , treated as municipality wastes according
to the environmental limits. Results show the ability of pathogenic bacteria to re
generate in the produced medical wastes within the periods of 72 hours that reaches
up to 20 cell / ml, while the use of UV light in a retention time of 15 min. was able
to destroy all bacterial growth in the same period of 72 hours.

Abstract

This research aims to use the mobile device to access the applications and web
services which are available on E-government portal by using private local network
(intranet). Mobile network, mobile devices and mobile services are developed which
construct the M-government in order to extend the horizon of online government
services and maximize benefits from e-services. The suggested m-government used
Wimax Technology as media based the framework of open source operating system.
The main targets of our work are to provide more power security for the information
that exchange through intranet, the cost of infrastructure will reduced against that is in
ordinary E-government and the added value of our work to support peoples those are
live courtyard to uses e-services. In the practical side we design a prototype of m
PORTAL and MSC (mobile switching center) to prove our concept.

Abstract

Measurements of the critical frequencies, foF2, obtained from ionosonde DPS-4 at
a mid latitude station in Rome (geographic coordinates 41.8°N, 12.5°E), Italy, have
been compared with the International Reference Ionosphere (IRI-2007), (IRI-2012)
models using Comite’ Consultatif International Des Radio Communications (CCIR) and
Union Radio-Scientific Internationale (URSI) coefficients, during low and high solar
activity. The data coverage hourly seasonal values of foF2 for low and high solar
activity years 2008 and 2012. By comparing the results of IRI models and measured
values of foF2 at Rome, it was found that (1) generally, the foF2 obtained from the
(URSI and CCIR Coefficients) for both IRI models are closely follow observed foF2
values. (2) In low solar activity year 2008, both IRI-2007 and IRI-2012 (CCIR and
URSI Coefficients) give foF2 values close to the ones measured at Rome. (3) In high
solar activity year 2012, the results of IRI-2012 give foF2 values with smaller range of
deviation than IRI-2007 results from measured values. The comparative study gives
feedback for new improvements of IRI-2012 model.

Niger which isolated from soil contaminated with crude oil in biodegradation of crude
petroleum oil and hsing Gas chromatography technique to determine efficient of
biological treatment. The results of this study show that the efficiency of fungi
Aspergillus Niger to degrade petroleum oil hydrocarbon was 89% after 30 days of
bioremediation treatment.

Abstract

Two-dimensional (2D) electrical resistivity imaging (ERI) method was used to
detect the contact between sediment and bedrock some regions of south Iraq. ABEM
Terrameter LS used for data collection, using three 2D electrical resistivity profiles. For
the fieldwork, two-dimensional surveying carried out along three profiles using Dipole
dipole array with 8 m electrode spacing. The maximum depth of investigation was 50
m.
The data analyzed and explained 2D inversions by the RES2DINV software.
The obtained data analyzed, and 2D models of the subsurface generated. The resistivity
data were inverted into subsurface electrical sections using the least-squares inversion
technique. Then, the contact between the bedrock and sediment was observed.
Our results indicate well-defined boundary in the resistivity structure that can be used to
estimate the quantity of sediments covering bedrock.

Abstract

The influence of preparation condition on the structural and optical properties of
Cadmium Selenide (CdSe) thin films deposited onto glass substrates was studied. The
structural investigations performed by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique showed
that the films have polycrystalline, hexagonal structure, Moreover, the AFM study showed
that the film of uniform nano-grain size about 10nm. Transmission spectra in the spectral
domain (200-1200nm), were investigated. The values of some important parameters of the
studied films (absorption coefficient, optical energy band gap and refractive index) were
determined from these spectra. The values of the energy gap, Eg (allowed direct transitions),
calculated from the absorption spectra, ranged between 2 and 2.2eV.

Bioavailability of Ellagic Acid in Plasma of 20 Healthy Volunteers Using HPLC Technique.

Abstract

Ellagic acid (EA) and hydrolysable ellagitannins (ETs) were extracted from
white flesh pomegranate; the ellagic acid was implicated with potent antioxidant,
anticancer and antiatherosclerotic biological properties. ellagic acid act as excellent
scavenger for chemical causing cancer , It form a layer on DNA to prevent free radicals
damaging
The concentration –time curve was constructed after administration of 80 mg ellagic
acid to 20 healthy volunteers (14 male and 6 females) . The calibration curve for
quantification of EA was linear (r2 = 0.9998) over concentration range from 400 to 6.25
ng/ml. the maximum concentration of ellagic acid (C max) was achieved in plasma of
volunteers after 1 h (T max). the mean serum elimination half life was about 6.21 ± 1.35
h . The recovery of ellagic acid in plasma at different concentration from 50-400 ng/ml
were between 101-117 % .
