Managing urban expansion using smart growth strategies

Abstract

Urbanization growth and expansion are linked to the over-urbanization phenomenon and to a greater extent than the ability of devices and tools to contain it, leading to chaos and confusion that can only be controlled through dynamic plans that have the ability to keep pace with the changes in urban societies.
The research problem is the lack of a clear perception of the phenomenon of urbanization and smart growth strategies in managing this phenomenon and reducing the negative effects of unplanned or random expansion or what is called urban sprawl. The research assumes that smart growth represents the most important strategies that achieve sustainable urbanization. The research deals with the most important literature and concepts related to growth, expansion and urban sprawl and the most important literature on smart growth, and then the most important experiences related to urbanization are addressed and come out of them with a set of indicators which achieves the smart and sustainable expansion of cities. The research then comes out with a set of conclusions and recommendations.

يرتبط النمو والتوسع الحضريين بالإفراط في ظاهرة التحضر وبشكل اكبر من قدرة الاجهزة والادوات على احتوائها ،مما يؤدي الى فوضى وتخبط لا يمكن السيطرة عليهما الا من خلال خطط ديناميكية لها القدرة على مجاراة التغيرات للمجتمعات الحضرية.
تتمثل مشكلة البحث في عدم وجود تصور واضح لظاهرة التوسع الحضري واستراتيجيات النمو الذكي في إدارة هذه الظاهرة والحد من الاثار السلبية للتوسع غير المخطط او العشوائي اوما يطلق عليه بالانتشار الحضري. يفترض البحث ان النمو الذكي يمثل اهم الاستراتيجيات التي تحقق التوسع الحضري المستدام. يتناول البحث اهم الادبيات والمفاهيم الخاصة بالنمو والتوسع والانتشار الحضري واهم الادبيات الخاصة بالنمو الذكي ومن ثم يتم التطرق الى اهم التجارب الخاصة بالتوسع الحضري ويخرج منها بمجموعة من المؤشرات والتي تحقق التوسع الذكي والمستدام للمدن. ومن ثم يخرج البحث بمجموعة من الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.

Using the Sharpe model to measure the performance of an international investment portfolio

Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the performance of the investment portfolio using the risk-adjusted return scale according to the Sharp index for the period (2017-2020), and the research problem was based on the question "How to use the Sharp model to measure the performance of the international investment portfolio by applying it to some investment portfolios in the international financial markets?" For the purpose of answering the question and reaching a goal, it was based on a research hypothesis that "measuring the performance of the international investment portfolio results in achieving the best results and the best trade-off between return and risk" and for the purpose of testing the research hypothesis, 21 stock indices were selected as the research sample, and to address the problem of the stock and test its hypotheses, financial and statistical analysis was relied on, using a set of descriptive statistical tools such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, covariance, and correlation coefficient, the subject of the research by application. on Evews12.

يهدف البحث الى تقييم لأداء المحفظة الاستثمارية باستخدام مقياس العائد المعدل بالمخاطرة وفق مؤشر شارب لفترة (2017-2020)، وارتكزت مشكلة البحث في التساؤل القائل "كيف تستخدم نموذج شارب لقياس أداء المحفظة الاستثمارية الدولية بالتطبيق على بعض المحافظ الاستثمارية المتواجدة بالسواق المالية الدولية؟" ولغرض الاجابة على التساؤل والوصول الى هدف تم الاستناد على فرضية بحثية مفادها" يترتب على قياس أداء المحفظة الاستثمارية الدولية تحقق أفضل نتائج وأفضل مبادلة بين العائد والمخاطرة" ولغرض اختبار فرضية البحث تم اختيار 21 مؤشر السهم كعينة البحث، ولمعالجة إشكالية الد واختبار فرضياته تم الاعتماد على التحليل المالي والاحصائي، باستخدام مجموعة من الأدوات الاحصائية الوصفية كالوسط الحسابي، الانحراف المعياري، التباين المشترك، ومعامل ارتباط، محل البحث بالتطبيق على برنامج Evews12.

Foreign companies played a role in the emergence of the public works and oil sectors in Ottoman Iraq from 1850 until the First World War, and this role continued in Iraq occupied by British forces after 1914 until 1925, where these companies established a ground for the emergence of the public sector in Iraq in the fields (public works and oil), but the role of these companies in the emergence of the public sector in the two mentioned fields changed its strategy according to the political changes that followed 1925 (1925). لعبت الشركات الأجنبية دوراً في نشأت قطاعي الأشغال العامة والنفط في العراق العثماني منذ عام 1850 وحتى الحرب العالمية الأولى، واستمر هذا الدور في العراق المحتل من قبل القوات البريطانية بعد عام 1914 ولغاية عام 1925 حيث اسست تلك الشركات لأرضية نشأت القطاع العام في العراق في ميداني (الأشغال العامة والنفط)، ولكن دور تلك الشركات في نشأت القطاع العام في الميدانين المشار لهما قد تغير استراتيجيته بحسب التغيرات السياسية التي اعقبت عام 1925 (عام الانتداب)، وما ركز عليه هذا البحث هو المدة من 1850 – 1925، حيث نشط الدور الأجنبي بالحصول على الاستثمار النفطي، سيما تقديم المشورة والدعم للحكومة العثمانية في مجال الخدمات البلدية .

Climate change and its impact on the variation in vegetation cover in Najaf Governorate

Abstract

The study includes two types of variables that enter into the process of statistical analysis of the data, so that they were distributed over time intervals, namely 1966-2020 for the summer and winter seasons.
The following is a description and coding of these variables, including the independent variable, which includes climatic factors (actual solar brightness, temperature rates, maximum and minimum thermal averages, relative humidity, evaporation rates, rainfall, and dust storms).
The adopted variable represents the drought area of the indicators (NDVI) for each semester and for the five climatic cycles in the study, and with the help of statistical techniques and programs to achieve the goal of the study in a sober scientific method, the correlation coefficient, the regression coefficient and the interpretation coefficient were adopted and tested by the T test at the level of significance (0.05) and the standard deviation and the rate of change were used to know and determine the differences and spatial and temporal variation of the study variables .

إنَّ توظيف النصوص الشعرية لدى هلال الصّابي لمْ يكن شيئاً طارئاً , بلْ ينمُّ عن قصدية تامة وواعية مِن قبله ؛ لأنه يشفُ عن كل ما يحيط به مِن انفعالات نفسية وحوادث تاريخية وتحولات اجتماعية وسياسية ، كذلك يبينُ قدرته الإبداعية والتعبيرية في التعامل مع النص الشعري بوصفه مرجعاً ثقافياً مهماً يكشفُ تعالقاً كبيراً بينه وبين النص النثري الذي ينتجه الكاتب معتمداً على ثقافته واطلاعه وموهبته وذكائه ، وقد انقسمت المرجعيات الشعرية عند الصابي ـــ في طريقة استحضار النص وآلية توظيفه ــــ على قسمين , هما: المرجعية الشعرية المباشرة وغير المباشرة .

Abstract

Abstract

اكتسبت ريادة الأعمال أهمية كبيرة بسبب حداثة موضوعها من جهة وأهميتها الاقتصادية في تحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية بالإضافة الى الاهمية الاجتماعية من جهة أخرى.
وقد تناول البحث نوع جديد من الابتكارات والابداعات لرواد الاعمال وهي ريادة الاعمال ، وقد تناول هذا البحث هذه النوع من الافكار لأهميته الكبيرة، فطرحها الباحث في خطة جديدة ومعالجة جديدة على نطاق خطة مبتكرة تضمنت احدث الافكار القانونية مع محاولة الباحث الاجتهاد وتوضيح حلول جديدة في ظل قانون براءات الاختراع رقم 427 لسنة 1999 الكازاخستاني، وقانون براءات الاختراع والنماذج الصناعية والمعلومات غير المفصح عنها والدوائر المتكاملة والاصناف النباتية العراقي رقم 65 لسنة 1970 المعدل بموجب امر سلطة الائتلاف المنحلة رقم 81 لسنة 2004، وقانون حماية حقوق الملكية الفكرية المصري رقم 82 لسنة 2002 ، وقانون الملكية الفكرية رقم 597 لسنة 1992 الفرنسي.

Abstract

The research aims to identify the self-awareness of the students of private colleges, as well as the statistically significant differences in self-awareness among the students of private colleges according to the variables of gender (male and female students) and the study specialization (scientific-human), for the academic year (2021-2022), and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on the following:
1- Using the (Descriptive-Relational Method) to Reveal Self-Awareness among Students of Private Colleges
2- Building a Self-Awareness Scale among Private College Students According to Goleman's Theory (2000)
To complement this, the researcher applied the tool to the statistical analysis sample of (300) male and female students, and the psychometric characteristics of the tool were extracted, while the sample of the final application reached (400) male and female students.

يستهدف البحث التعرف على وعي الذات لدى طلية الكليات الاهلية، وكذلك الفروق ذات الدلالة الإحصائية في وعي الذات لدى طلبة الكليات الاهلية حسب متغيري نوع الجنس (طلاب – طالبات) والتخصص الدراسي (العلمي – الإنساني)، وقد تحدد البحث بطلبة الجامعة الاسلامية الصباحية في محافظة النجف الاشرف حسب متغير الجنس (طلاب – طالبات) والتخصص الدراسي (علمي– انساني), للعام الدراسي (2021-2022)، ولتحقيق أهداف البحث اعتمدت الباحثة على ما يأتي:
1- استخدام (المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي) للكشف عن وعي الذات لدى طلبة الكليات الاهلية
2- بناء مقياس لوعي الذات لدى طلبة الكليات الاهلية وفق نظرية جولمان (Goleman,2000)
واستكمالاً لذلك قامت الباحثة بتطبيق الاداة على عينة التحليل الاحصائي البالغة (300) طالب وطالبة وتم استخراج الخصائص السيكومترية للأداة, في حين بلغت عينة التطبيق النهائي (400) طالبا وطالبة.

Abstract

The study deals with the subject of financial innovations according to the FinTech model, which is one of the basic tools that help to advance and develop the reality of the banking sector, so the aim of the study was to provide a clear idea of the application of this model in order to help Iraqi banks develop their business according to the latest financial and technological innovations.
The study population included the Iraqi banking system for the period (2017-2021), and the main hypotheses were analyzed and tested through the use of the statistical software (SPSS), and the study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that the trend to use modern payment methods such as advanced payment systems and software is sufficient to meet the needs of customers and attract the largest number of them, as well as that the best indicator of financial innovations according to the (FinTech) model is the index of access to electronic banking services, followed by the index of ease of use.

تتناول الدراسة موضوع الابتكارات المالية وفق نموذج FinTech، والذي يعد من الأدوات الاساسية التي تساعد على النهوض بواقع القطاع المصرفي وتطويره، لذا كان الهدف من الدارسة تقديم فكرة واضحة عن تطبيق هذا النموذج من اجل مساعدة المصارف العراقية على تطوير اعمالها وفق أحدث الابتكارات المالية والتكنولوجية.
وتضمن مجتمع الدراسة الجهاز المصرفي العراقي للمدة (2017-2021)، وقد جرى تحليل واختبار الفرضيات الرئيسة عبر استخدام البرنامج الاحصائي SPSS))، وتوصلت الدراسة الى مجموعة من الاستنتاجات اهمها ان التوجه لاستخدام وسائل الدفع الحديثة من أنظمة دفع وبرمجيات متطورة كفيلة بتلبية احتياجات الزبائن واستقطاب أكبر عدد منهم، وكذلك ان أفضل مؤشر للابتكارات المالية وفق نموذج (FinTech) هو مؤشر الوصول للخدمات المصرفية الالكترونية يليه مؤشر سهولة الاستخدام.

Abstract

This study seeks to show the relationship between geopolitical visions and Turkish behavior towards the Eastern Mediterranean region and the military intervention in Libya, as many actors have adopted some geopolitical concepts in their strategies, as part of their search for status, for example, the United States, Britain, and Germany in the twentieth century, relied on geopolitical theories that rely on the use of geography in shaping their foreign policies to enhance their power and position in the global arena. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Turkey has employed geopolitical concepts in its policy, hence the AKP theorists have sought to employ geopolitics concepts in building intellectual perceptions with geographical dimensions to urge Turkey to pursue an active foreign policy that revives its historical status and influential power. It caters to its vital and growing interests.

تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى بيان علاقة التأثر والتأثير بين الرؤى الجيوبوليتيكية والسلوك التركي تجاه منطقة شرق البحر المتوسط والتدخل العسكري في ليبيا, إذ تبنت العديد من القوى الفاعلة, بعض المفاهيم الجيوبولتيكية في استراتيجياتها, في إطار بحثها عن المكانة, فعلى سبيل المثال اعتمدت الولايات المتحدة وبريطانيا والمانيا في القرن العشرين, على النظريات الجيوبوليتيكية التي تعتمد على توظيف الجغرافيا في تشكيل سياساتها الخارجية لتعزيز قوتها ومكانتها في الساحة العالمية. وفي تركيا كانت لبعض هذه المفاهيم الجيوبوليتيكية أهمية في تصورات ورؤى منظري حزب العدالة والتنمية, فمنذ بداية القرن الحادي والعشرين, وظفت تركيا المفاهيم الجيوبوليتيكية في سياستها, ومن هنا سعى منظرو حزب العدالة والتنمية إلى توظيف مفاهيم الجيوبولتكس في بناء تصورات فكرية ذات أبعاد جغرافية لحث تركيا على انتهاج سياسة خارجية نشطة تحيي مكانتها التاريخية وقوتها المؤثرة, وتلبي مصالحها الحيوية المتنامية.

Abstract

Poetry is one of the ancient-modern terms that occupied a wide space in the studies of contemporary critical and literary approaches, and one of these approaches is the formal approach, which delved into its study by developing a modern poetic theory, this research moved to identify the most important elements that formalists relied on in determining the poetics of the literary text, especially that they went beyond the issue of the text's connection to reality or the surrounding context, and made the text unique from other contexts. In the preface, the research dealt with the foundations of formalism and the premises of its formation, and in the first topic, the research focused on the poetic language of the formalists, then the second topic that moved in the search for the concept of form and content among the formalists, while the third topic stood on the concept of Westernization, on which formalism relied greatly, and then a conclusion and a list of sources.

تُعدُّ الشّعريّةُ من المصطلحاتِ القديمة _الحديثة التي شغلت مساحةً واسعةً في دراسات المناهجِ النقدية والأدبيّة المعاصرة، ومن هذه المناهج المنهج الشكلي، الذي تعمّق في دراستها واضعاً نظريةً شعريّةً حديثةً ، تحرّك هذا البحثُ للوقوف على أهم العناصر التي اعتمد عليها الشكلانيون في تحديد شعرية النص الأدبي ، لاسيما أنّهم تجاوزا مسألة ارتباط النص بالواقع أو السياق المحيط ، وجعل النص منفرداً عن السياقات الأخرى من هنا أولت الشكلانية عناية فائقة للشكل وجعلت منه وحدة ديناميكية ملموسة ذات معنى، فجاء البحث في تمهيد وثلاثة مباحث، في التمهيد تطرّق البحث إلى الوقوف على أسس الشكلانية ومنطلقات تشكيلها، وفي المبحث الأول وقف البحث عند اللغة الشعرية عند الشكلانيين، ومن ثمّ المبحث الثاني الذي تحرّك في البحث عن مفهوم الشكل والمضمون عند الشكلانيين ، أما المبحث الثالث فوقف عند مفهوم التغريب الذي اعتمدت عليه الشكلانية بشكل كبير، ومن ثم خاتمة وقائمة بالمصادر.

Effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on TRIZ theory in future thinking among second-year middle school students

Abstract

The study aimed to find out the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on the theory of ( TRIZ) in future thinking among second-grade intermediate students, by verifying the hypothesis of the study that states (there is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the students of the experimental group that studied according to (the proposed strategy) and the average scores of the students of the control group that studied (in the usual way) in the Future Thinking Scale. The researcher identified the study (randomly) from the students of the second intermediate grade (Al-Sadiq Intermediate for Boys) affiliated to the Directorate of Diwaniya Education - Governorate Center) for the academic year (2022-2023) for the first semester of the subject (Physics) Second Intermediate, and a scale was prepared for future thinking of (five skills) with (25) items for the total scale, where each skill contains (five items), and its apparent honesty of the scale, its constructive honesty, the discriminating power of the paragraphs, and the calculation of consistency (Cronbach's alpha) was verified. The data for the study were processed using the statistical package (SPSS).

هدفت الدراسة لمعرفة فاعلية استراتيجية مقترحة قائمة على نظرية (تريز TRIZ) في التفكير المستقبلي عند طلاب الصف الثاني المتوسط , بالتحقق من فرضية الدراسة التي تنص (لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0,05) بين متوسط درجات طلاب المجموعة التجريبية التي درست وفق (الاستراتيجية المقترحة) ومتوسط درجات طلاب المجموعة الضابطة التي درست (بالطريقة الاعتيادية) في مقياس التفكير المستقبلي , حدد الباحث الدراسة (عشوائياً) من طلاب الصف الثاني المتوسط (لمتوسطة الصادق للبنين) التابعة (لمديرية تربية الديوانية- مركز المحافظة) للعام الدراسي (2022-2023) للفصل الدراسي الأول لمادة (الفيزياء) الثاني المتوسط , وتم اعداد مقياس للتفكير المستقبلي من (خمس مهارات) وبواقع (25) فقرة للمقياس الكلي حيث كل مهارة تحتوي على (خمس فقرات) , وتم التحقق من صدقه الظاهري للمقياس وصدقه البناء والقوة التمييزية للفقرات وحساب الثبات (الفا كرونباخ) , وتم معالجة البيانات الخاصة بالدراسة باستخدام الحقيبة الإحصائية (SPSS).
