Abstract
During a survey on mycobiota associated with grapevine plants exhibited decline in several vineyards in
Salahaldin province , several interesting pathogenic and saprophyic fungi were encountered . fiese include
Cadophora spp. Clonostachys rosea , Doratomyces microspores , Lasiodiplodia theobromae , Melanospora
pascuensis and Neocytalidium dimidiatum . Cadophora tagerb.& Melin and Clonostachys Corda are newly
recorded genera in lraq . Species such as C.rosea , D.microsporus and M.pascuensis are new addition to Iraqi
mycobiota , whereas , L.tleohromae and N.dimidiatum are newly reported pathogens on grapevine in middle
lraq. Brief descriptions along widr photographic illustrations are provided for 0re newly recorded taxa

There is an increasing demand for diagnostic testing for Giardia intestinalis (G. lambtia),with a priority being
placed on obtaining diagnostic results in an efficient and timely manner. Several commercial companies have
developed rapid diagnostic tests that are simple to perform and can be completed in less time than traditional
methods for detecting Giardia larnblia. We compared one of these rapid tests, MERIFLUOR direct fluorescentantibody (DFA) test, and zinc sulphate flotation technique with microscopy ofdirect double wet preparationson
310 stool samples, taken from children below 12 years in Kirkuk city fiom I't December 2012 to 30ft ofJune
2013. The all rate of intestinal parasitic infections was 51.93 %that divided into 42.58 yo and 9.35 %o for
protozoan and helminthic infections respectively. Giardia lamblia rate 20.32 ok was the highest rate among
protozoan infections P<0.05.According to gender the rate of giardiasis among males 27.92 o/o was higher than
16.08%in females P<0.05.While according to age of the patients, statistically the differences among the ages
were not significant F>0.05, but conelation age with the gender high rate of giardiasis 14.41 o/o md 7.2 lo were
recorded in males aging from 7 to8 years and from ll to 12 years respectively, P<0.05. For detection of Giardia
lambli4 the differences in sensitivities, specificities and accuracy ofthree methods were not significant P>0.05,
but when compadng these elements alone, direct microscopy have had significant differences on other two
methods. Statistical analyses reveal signihcant differences in Positive Predictive Values (PPV) among three
employed methods P<0.05, While Negative Predictive Values (NPV) analyses were not significant P>0.05.

The study was carried out on 100 attendants to mean private laboratory in Kirkuk, liom beginning ofJanuary to
the end ofNovember 201 l.
The holactin hormone and urea level were estimation from uremic male patients.
Prolactin is a glycoprotein synthesized by anterior lob ofthe pituitary gland. It was responsible to milk secretion.
It was found that percentage of prolactin was 57 7o in make patients. which was high than in control group. And
this may be attributes to high level of urea in serum, due to Acute or chronic Nephritis, Polycystic kidney,
Nephro sclerosis, tubular Necrosis and obstruction of urinary Tract.
These disease cause delayed clearance and filtration ofprolactin in kidney which was lead to retum back to the
blood circulation and increased the prolactin concentration

Abstract
H)?ertension is a chronic cardiac disease in which the systemic arterial blood is elevated. This study was
planned in AL - Azizya district governorate of Waset during the period l/72011- l/10/2011, to detect the role of
Iipids in high blood pressure .One hundred and five (105) hypertensive patients from males and femals their ages
from(20-70) years and measured their lipids in the blood and also fteir blood pressure were taken and compared
with fourty fiye (45) healthy individuals of similar ages .The result of this study revealed that the level of lipids
was within normal in the majority of h,?ertensive patients (79.470) .At the same time the study revealed that
there was high level in lipids profile concentration in some healthy individuals. From the above we conclude that
the increase level of lipids profile is the one cause of high blood pressure also smoking, emotional factors and
genetic factors have the same role in elevation of blood pressure. Finally the study clearly clarified that age has
an important role in inoeasing the blood pressure

A study was carried out to isolate and identi$ microorganism associated with computer keyboards and mice. A
total of(250) samples were collected ftom two different objects (150) samples from the keyboards and (100)
samples fiom the mice. Samples were collected from diferent Computer centers places some computer
laboratories (multiple- user) in college ofmedicine, Al-Batol Teaching Hospital, Al-Jamhory Teaching Hospital
in Mosul City and Laptops of Single user (staff rooms).The collected samples were inoculated on Nutrient
agar,, Salmonella Shighella agar, Blood agar, Chogulate agar ,Maconkey agar,Brucella agar and Minnitol Salt
agar .The isolates obtained were examined and identilied by colonial morphology; biochemical characteristics
and Gram stain,99.2o/o of total sarnples collected were contaminated with mixed bacterial groMh. The bacteria
that have be€n isolates includes, Gram positive bacilli, Gram negative bacilli, Staphylococcus aureus ,
Staphylococcus epidermis ,Enterococcus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus.The study indicated that the number of
microorganisms present on multiple-user computer keyboard and mice were greater than the single user
computer keyboards and mice. The presence ofpathogenic and commercial bacteria on the computer keyboards
and mice indicates that they might acts as environmental vehicles for the transmission ofpotentially pathogenic
bacteria. Our data recommended that regular cleaning and disinfection ofthe different parts of computers must
be used to reduce the microbial load especially for multiple user work station.

This research used both of the Discriminate analysi(DA) and the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) for
differentiation between malignant and benign oral lesions ,that has been dune on a sample of lesions defined
them t?es by the competencies in this field .
The aim is to compaxe the actual medical diagnosis oforal lesions with both: output ofthe DA and ANN.
In the DA part, each of discriminate function ,cut point ,rate of error have been founded ,in ANN a perceptxon
artificial neural network has been used as a successful procedure in classi!,ing the cases of infected and non

the disease in two case :Benign (01) and Malignant (01).
The research show a coincidence between medical diagnosis and output ofdiscriminate function which we can
depend on to differentiation between cases and output ofneural network.

ofC.R.P. between group 1(96&48 mg/dl) and group 2 (<6,12,24mldl) in the l'l month p<0.0001 -p<0.0002 in
the 2d month and p<0.0001 in the 3d month The results of these calculations the future it may be useful if we
research about a relation b€tween these two parameters (CA125 &, CRP) in the case of metastasis of breast
cancer

Plastization of new prepared esters with poly vinyl chloride (pvc) which containing pendant esters group on
polymeric chain .
Preparatiom of ester containing pendant ester on polymeric chain by reacting of acidic anhydride with copoly
(vinylchloride-vinyl alcohol) in acidic medium under reflex at 62 'c for six hours,filter and Purified by
Tetrahydrofuran (THF) .Then plastization of diflerent wights of new prepared with lgm of solid poly vinyl
chloride . The prepared polyrners were identified by FTIR and by studying physical properties such as softening
points
, melting points, and solubility in different solvents

Three t)?es ofSchiff-base have been prepared derived form 4-hydroxy benzaldehyde with semicarbazide , urea
and thio urea L1, L2, L respectively. All these were bidentate ligands reacted with Fe (II), Co(II) & Ni(II) ions
in l:2 metal to ligand molar ration to form [M(L> Clr] complexes.
The complexes have been characterized by means of metal analysis M%, I& Uv-Visible spectroscopy and
magnetic moment measuement as well as the molar conductivity measurements

A series of neutral and anionic mixed metal complexes of cobalt(ll), nickel (ll), and copper (ll) have been
synthesized by the reactions oftheir metal salts with the Schiffbase ligand bis(vanillidene) phthaloloylhydrazide
(VP[L), derived from vanillin and phthaloloyl hydrazide. Structual features of the complexes were obtained
from thet elemental microanalysis, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance, UV-visible and IR spectral
studies. The data showed that these complexes have compositions ofthe O/pe:

\rPHa and VP are the neutral and tetra-basic forms of the ligand and X= Cl or NO3. Neutral complexes were
obtained from neutral reaction medium where the ligand acts as neuhal hexadentate forming octahedral
structure. In alkaline reaction medium, anionic complexes were obtained where the ligand acts as tetrabasic
hexadentate giving tetrahedral and square plana! structures. The study of the natue and stability of the
complexes was carried out by Job method and revealed the formation of l:1 metal to ligand species in neutral
solution which have similar stability constants.

Due to their lighter weight, conjugated (semiconducting) polymer cells have a potential of displacing
conventional silicon cells. The most studied conjugated polymer solar cell is the bulk heterojunction cell. Here,
the active Iayer is made up ofa mi(ure ofthe conjugated polyrner donor and the C66 based - fullerene acceptor.
The efliciency of the cell is determined, using a solar simulator and the AMl.5C standards, after determining
existence ofan open circuit voltage (V.") and short circuit curent. Using Design ofExperiments (DOE), V""has
been marimized. The variables considered in the DOE were solvent t)?e, numb€r of layers ofPEDOT:PSS and
polymer/fullerene mix, as well as spin-coating times and speeds, and annealing time, temperatue and
applications per cell layer.

Objective:- Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder and associated with number ofdisorders including bone,
kidney,liver, nerves, had and blood vessels dysfunction. C- reactive protein (CRP) is a sensitive physiological
biomarker ofsubclinical inflammation associated with hyperglycemia. The objectiye ofthe present study was to
establish the relationship between CRP with blood sugar, Calcium (Ca-'?), Phosphorus (PO4':) and Alkaline
Phosphatase (ALP) in serum of Diabetes Mellitus t,?e 2( DM2). Methods:- The study involved of 40 DM2
patients and 30 non-diabetic individuals as control. The colorimetric analysis has been applied for blood sugar,
Ca *2, PO42, ALP and CRP. Samples were collected from February 2013 to August 2013 of Tikrit Teaching
Hospital.

Abstract:
The research included determination of Arylesterase activity and its relationship with some biochemical
parameters of Type I diab€tic patients serum. Significantly decreasing (p<0.05) activities of antioxidant
enzl,rnes, namely, Arylesterase, Glutathion-S-transferase, Catalase and lipoprotein lipase activities, and non
enzymatic antioxidants levels, Glutathione, yitarnin C levels, as well as insulin hormone , while non significantly
decreasing in Glutathione peroxidase actiyity, vitaminE and Ceruloplasmin were found in type I diabetic
patients as compared to control. Our rssults were demonshates a significantly increasing (p<0.05) in
Llpoxygenase, Polyamine Oxidase, Superoxide Dismutase and Xanthine Oxidase activities, in addition to
Glucose, Malondialdehyde, urea, creatinins, glycosylated hemoglobin and insulin resistance in patients compare
to healthy subjects.
There was a significant positive correlation between ARE and Glutathione peroxidase (r=0.421), Ceruloplasmin
(r:0.525), glutathione (r:0.411, vitamins C(r:0.735) and E(r0.61l), while it was a significantly negative with
Xanthine Oxidase (r= -0.597), glucose(r: -0.721), Malondialdehyde (r: -0.834) and HbAlc(r:- 0.843).
The partial purification of Arylesterase from serum of Type I diabetic patients was studied by using dialysis,
diethylaminoahyl cellulose ion exchange chromatography and electrophoresis techniques. One proteinous peak
of ARE activity were obtained with specific activities of 0.944 lfung Fotein and with a molecular weight of
42666 dalton.

Abstract
A series ofsome newly [ 1,3]-benzodiazepine derivatives ofNicotinic acid hydrazide have been synthesized by
treating the hydrazide-hydrazones of nicotinc acid hydrazide with two different phthalimide, glycene
phthalimide and pamino benzoic acid phthalimide using the microwave irradiation technique to give a newly
seven-membered ring containing two nitrogen atoms. This method is facile and eflicient and afforded 1,3-
Benzodiazepine derivatives in an excellent yield. The sfuctures of synthesized compounds were established on
the basis oftR, 'H-NMR, ']C-NMR and mass spectral data. The microbial inhibitory effect of the new agents
has been evaluated in vitro against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as antifungal activity. The
most significant antimicrobial activity was obtained with compound l8 in addition to the antifungal activity.

This research included study of stability ofrock slopes for Pilaspi formation in Bina bawi anticline at Darbandi
Gomaspan area in Erbil, by selecting four stations on the outcrops ofPilaspi formation on the south westem limb
ofthe anticline, Detail surveying ofrock slopes were carried out in each station with engineering describtion and
classified according to (1) (2). The study reyealed that the t,?e of rock slopes were oblique lateral and parallel
t)?e according to the relationship of the strike of beds with the strike of the slopes, and concordant, right
emergent according to (3) classification.
The unconfined compressiye strength values ofthe rocks calculated indirectly from point load test which ranged
between (55.677-59.31 l )MPa for Limestone and (34.734)MPa for marly limestone. The t,?e ofthe rocks were
strong to moderately strong respectively according to (4). The average value of Tensile strength (ot) for
limestone is 15.45 lvtPalm2 arld 7.l2MPa/m2 for Marly Limestone. Also the fracture analysis was performed
using stereogmphical projection. The tlpes of failure in the study area were rock fall, toppling and rock rolling.
The factors affecting the stability ofthe rock slopes were evaluated which included presence of discontinuities in
tie rock, over hanging slopes, differential weathering and cutting rocks for different purposes for example roads
and road widen.

Dam, North Iraq. These species are: Acanlhocythereis (Acanthocylhereis) erbilensis sp. nov.; Acanthocytlpreis
(Cqntlrylqythereis) chonraetsis sp. r.ov.; Mquritsita khalifanensis sp. nov.; Ordoniya (Ordoniya) halabijaensis

Jordanian basalt was added to china clay on different mixes up to 60% by weight. Physical thermal and
structural propenies were studied. Mixes basalt have showed a remarkable increase in density with
increasing basalt addition. porosity was property greatly affected with increasing the firing
temperature. Maximum reduction in porosity was observed at high firing temperature for all mixes and
this will cause increase in hardness values.
The different phases were determined by X-ray anallsis. The expansion coefficient decreases with
increase ofthe basalt content . No sfong difference ofthe heating rate are observed on the properties of
the thermal expansion after firing at I 100'C for all mixes

In this study, Lead sulphide (PbS) thin films were deposited on glass substrates using the thermal vacuum
evaporation technique at pressure 106 torr. The prepared films were annealed to 200'C by using oven under
vacuum with pressure l0 2torr then the samples irradiated by CO2 laser of power (l watt) and wavelength (10.6)
pm at distanc€ (10 cm) from the source for (5 sec). The optical characteristics of the prepared thin films have
been investigated using IR spectrophotometer. Optical constants such as absorption, reflection, absorption
coemcient (o), Band gap energy (EJ, extinction coefficient (K), refractive index (n), and complex dielectric
constants (E&q) were evaluated from transmission spectra. The results show that the laser irradiation cause
decreasing in fransmittance, reflection, band gap energy, refiactive index and in the real part of dielectric
constant while increasing in the absorption, extinction coeflicient and imaginary part ofdielectric constant, in
the investigated regio0 .

Q-switched Nd:YAG laser has been ernployed to prepare colloidal solutions of silver nanoparticles. SEM
investigations as well as the surface Plasmon of UV-Vis spectra reveal formation of silver nanoparticles. Those
nanoparticles were exhibited antibacterial activity on some bacteria which live in human body. It is found that
higher concentration of silver nanoparticles of 50 pglml and small nanoparticles (less than 25 nm) would
increase the inhibition zone around the implanted bacteria and reach 15 nn fot Proteus, Remarkable increment
of antibiotics when silver nanoparticles added to improve the antimicrobial eflect against gram-negative and
gram-positive bacteria. It is also found that the most sensitive bacteria for silver nanoparticles was Proteus and
the minimum inhibition concentration of l5 Fglml was obtained for Staphylococcus.

Charged particles interact with matter in several methods, one these method is Stopping Power .
In this research we haye calculated total mass stopping power using [Bethe - Block] equations, in
Semiconductor Compound ZnO. within the range ofenergy (0.1 9)MeV.
The total mass stopping power include from two types of interactions, the flllst called collision stopping power (-
dE/ dx)-1, and the Second radiation stopping power (-dE/dx).6. the collision stopping power calculated using
Bethe equation , and the radiation calculated using three Bpes of equations derived fiom [Bethe and Hietler]
equations.
The results have been compared with the data of Estar which shows a good agreement among the values that
using the MATLAB Program

In this work. we study the ft,n;f)-arcs in a projective plane PG(2,q), q=ph, p is any positive prime number
greater than 2 , and h is any positive integer number.
This research presents a new and fast method to determine tlese arcs, by using this method we can prove that
the number of (k,n;{1,2})-arcs in PG(2,q), q=ph are (q+2). Then finding for example all (k,n;{I,2})-arcs in
PG(2,17) whose numbers are (19). Only two types ofthese arcs are known in [6], also finding all ((n;{1,2})-
arcs in dre two projective planes PG(2,23) and PG(2,25) which has been not researched until now, to enable
finding in general all arcs in PG(2,q), q:ph , by using an easier equations and in a shon time.
Bearing in mind that the previous approach was able only in limited manner to speciry a limited number ofthose
arcs in the projective plane PG (2,19), no other study exists for those arcs ofq >19 values

Abstract
This paper provide a software simulation to enhancement performance system using hybrid Erbium doped fiber
amplifier/Raman amplifier (EDFA./RA), by the way, RA provides a continuous amplification along the fiber.
The (8 x lOGb/s) wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system show successful transmitter work at (193.1
to 193.8 THz) all input channels have the same power with (-6.66dBm) these signal are amplified through EDFA
and RA of (20km), two pump laser used. The total output signal is (29.36dBm), total output noise is (-
l3.53dBm), and output optical-signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) is (odB). The average maximum Q-factor for all 8-
channels is (4.79), and the average of minimum BER is(3 x 10-7), this mean the optical network is exploiting
for high speed nefwork communication with low error rate, and the major contribution is the development ofthe
multi-destination communication oyer the lightwave WDM system. The system is simulated, tested, and verified
using OptiSlstem Software Package

Data pre-processing stage is also known as (data preparation) stage and it is a fundamental stage for data anallsis
and knowledge discovery. lf there is much inelevant and redundant information or noisy and unreliable dat4
then knowledge discovery during analysis and mining phase will be more diflicult. Therefore we consider the
pre-processing stage as an important step for knowledge discovery process and has a significant impact on
predictive accuracy. Essentially, while each customer attribute may require special treatrnent for each algorithm,
so the choices of data pre-processing (DPP) depend on the individual dataset or database used. h this paper we
have chosen and explained two different pre-processing techniques which are (consistency, reduction) depending
on our data warehouse of marketing which contains inconsistent attributes and also contains duplicated records.
We have also proposed two new algorithms for reduction named (Removing Duplication Algorithm) and for
consistency named (Resolving Inconsistency Algorithm) so that achieving the best performance for their data
set. In this paper we applied and implemented our two new algorithms on our data warehouse using (C#
programming language) and (Microsoft Access file), and gained cleaning data warehouse with consistent
attributes and empty of duplicated records that is ready for preparing quality data as input to the algorithms of
data mining process or any other analysis method which also influences ofknowledge quality that is discovered
during data mining process.
