This paper attempts to carry out a close analysis of trauma representation in two American novels : Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2005)written by Jonathan Safran Foer and Don Dillilo's Falling Man which was written in 2007. I attempt to convey the event of Sep 11 and the emotional responses to this shattering event. Trauma is a word that is used more in psychology than literature , but in this paper ,I'll discuss the effect of trauma on fictional characters who try to cope with their traumas through language and other means

Academic writing in English is a mode of writing that, to a greater or lesser degree, underlies various academic tasks and assignments across almost all disciplines at the university level. It is one of the most demanding skills to acquire. Students need to be aware of the cognitive operations they go through in the process of composing, and the discursive norms of writing in order for them to operate successfully in academia.
This paper sets out to demonstrate the significance, purposes of academic writing and its key demands from both the cognitive and socio-cultural perspectives. The significance of this paper arises from two complementary angles: First, it foregrounds the demanding aspects of writing in English that teachers should focus on in an endeavour to help Arab students extend their writing competence. Second, the practical implications of the socio-cognitive demands may inform and guide teachers, course designers and education policy makers to develop an appropriate instructional writing model and design classroom activities that are believed to better meet these demands and thus help Arab students overcome them. The paper finishes off with a conclusion.

The fourth section included the presentation of the results of the long-term dynamic performance of long jump and its analysis as well as it has included the discussion within statistical tables.
So the fifth section has included the conclusions and recommendations that the researcher concluded according to the study, he had concluded and obtained the most important results.
The researcher recommended the adoption of intensive method in learning the motive performance of the long jump and conduct research using different methods to promote this sport.

The goal of research to identify ( The effect of the self-questioning strategy in acquiring rhetorical conceptions for the fifth literary stage for female students ) . To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher followed the procedures of the experimental method, and chose a experimental design with a partial control consisting of two groups, the first ( experimental ) study rhetoric according to the strategy of self-questioning, and the other taught the rhetoric using the traditional way. The researcher prepared a test and a test to acquire concepts . The number of members of the research sample (60) students , (30) students for the experimental group, and (30) students for the control group. The researcher rewarded the students of the two groups in (age, language ability test, intelligence test).
The following statistical methods were used are ( t-test for statistical differences, Kronbach equation , and paragraph difficulty coefficient ) . The researcher chose three topics from the book of rhetoric in the teaching of the two research groups, and prepared a collection test of the type of multiple choice. His honesty and steadfastness have been verified. The present study found that there is a difference of statistical significance at (0.05) between the average achievement of the students of the two groups of research and the interest of the experimental group.
