Abstract

For public expenditures several effects in various purposes, political, social and economical in all countries, Iraq one them it is possible for these expenditures to be contribute in desired changes if they could be employed by a way& coming back with advantage aims for society and economics.
This research try to clarified the effect of public expenditures at a general level of price in Iraq, then it be clear by the research there was alternate effects between the two variable so it must give an appropriate interest to reach the particular requested aims from increase public expenditures size and avoid or decrease harmful reflections to take into consideration that public expenditures seems as weapon with two borders so it is useful when employ in appropriate fronts and quantities but it perhaps give disadvantage results when it employ in a bad way.

للنفقات العامة آثار عديدة في مختلف الأوجه السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية في جميع البلدان والعراق واحد منها, إذ يمكن لهذه النفقات المساهمة الفاعلة في إحداث التغيرات المطلوبة إذا ما تم توظيفها بشكل يعود على المجتمع والاقتصاد بالفوائد المتوخاة ، وهذا البحث يحاول بيان أثر النفقات العامة في المستوى العام للأسعار في العراق إذ وكما اتضح من البحث هناك آثار متبادلة بين هذين المتغيرين مما يستوجب أن تعطى الاهتمام المناسب لأجل الوصول إلى الغايات المنشودة من زيادة النفقات العامة وتفادي أو تقليل حصول انعكاسات ضارة اخذين بعين الاعتبار أن النفقات العامة تبدو وكأنها سلاح ذو حدين تفيد إذا ما استخدمت في الأوجه والمقادير المناسبة إلا أنها قد تعطي نتائج ضارة إذا ما أسي استخدامها.

The nutritional behavior and its relation with obesity and health of a sample of female students at Baghdad university/ Jadiriyah complex.

Abstract

Hundred female students were randomly selected from the four class levels (1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th of the various colleges of jadiriyah complex.
Their ages range from 19-30 years their body weight indicator was obtained after taking their height and weight as well as looking over their health status. As for the nutritional behavior, it was obtained via a questionnaire prepared for this purpose.
The survey results show that females of the age 22-24 years scored the highest increase percentage in weight amounted to 54.83% whereas those of the age 25-27 years scored the lowest increase in weight. As for obesity, the females of the age 25-27 years scored the highest percentage which was 65% while those of the age 22-24 years scored the lowest rate which was 46.14%.
As far as the nutritional behavior is concerned, it was found out that 15% of the samples had their breakfast regularly while 78% ate snacks and light meals regularly. As for milk and dairy products, vegetables and fruit regular consumption, the percentages were 23%, 17% and 22%, 88% and 65% of those female students had sweets and soft drinks. The percentage of consumed meat regularly was 86%. 82% of female students did not practice sports.
The survey came up with the fact that 40% of these students suffer from arthritis, 35% suffer from Anemia, 15% suffer from Gout and 10% suffer from Diabetes.
In light of these results raising the nutritional awareness is recommended among students concerning nutritional behavior through health education programs and reading health bulletinsas well as urging students to practice physical activity.

Abstract

شملت الدراسة 100 طالبة جامعية بطريقة عشوائية من مجمع الجادرية/ جامعة بغداد في الصفوف الدراسية الأربعة (الأول والثاني والثالث والرابع) ومن كليات مختلفة والتي تتراوح أعمارهن مابين 19-30 سنة، اذ تم التعرف على مؤشر كتلة الجسم بعد قياس الوزن والطول ومعرفة الحالة الصحية لهن، أما السلوك الغذائي فقد تم التعرف عليه بأعداد استبانة خاصة بذلك، وبينت النتائج أن الفئة العمرية 22-24 قد سجلت أعلى نسبة زيادة في الوزن وهي 54.83%، في حين أن الفئة العمرية 25-27 قد سجلت أقل نسبة زيادة في الوزن حيث بلغت 35%، أما بالنسبة للسمنة فأن أعلى نسبة سجلت بلغت 65% للفئة العمرية 25-27 و 63.63% للفئة العمرية 28-30، أما الفئة العمرية 22-24 فقد سجلت أوطأ نسبة للسمنة بلغت 45.16%، وفيما يخص السلوك الغذائي فقد ظهر أن 51% من عينة الدراسة يتناولن وجبة الإفطار بشكل دائم وأن 78% يتناولن الوجبات الخفيفة والوجبات السريعة بشكل دائم، أما بالنسبة للحليب ومشتقاته والخضراوات والفواكه فكانت نسبة اللاتي يتناولنها بشكل دائم هي 23 و17 و22% على التوالي، وأن 88 و65% منهن يتناولن الحلويات والمشروبات الغازية على التوالي، أما اللحوم فكانت نسبة الطالبات المتناولات منها بشكل دائم 86%، وان ما يقارب 82% لا يمارسن الرياضة، كما لوحظ أن نسبة الإصابة بأمراض المفاصل هي 40% وبأمراض فقر الدم 35% وبأمراض داء النقرس 15% وبداء السكر10% بين عينات الدراسة.

Abstract

This study was included the effectiveness of the Terpenes extract from Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves in to the pupa stage for Lesser grain borer Rhyzopertha dominica in two ages 24 and 72 hours under conditions at temperature 30±2 Cº and relative humidity 65±5%, research has included three test concentrations 3, 5 and 7% (g/100 ml), the concentration 7% gave higher rate of killing 25% of the age 24h. compared with other concentrations, whereas the age 72h. have equal rates of kill by 30% to both concentrations 5 and 7% with increase in the proportion of total partial emergence and distortions 45% and decreases to 40% to pupae at 24 hours.

تضمن البحث دراسة فعالية مستخلص التربينات لأوراق نبات اليوكالبتوس E.camaldulensis في الدور العذري لثاقبة الحبوب الصغرىR.dominica وللعمرين 24 و 72 ساعة في ظروف المختبر بدرجة حرارة 30±2 م ورطوبة نسبية 65±5 %، تضمن البحث اختبار ثلاثة تراكيز 3، 5 و 7% (غم/100 مل)، وأعطى التركيز 7% أعلى نسبة قتل بلغت 25% للعمر 24 ساعة مقارنة بالتراكيز الاخرى، اما بالعمر 72 ساعة فقد تساوت نسب القتل بمعدل 30% للتركيزين 5 و 7% مع زيادة في نسب مجموع البزوغ الجزئي والتشوهات لتبلغ 45% لتنخفض الى 40% للعذارى بعمر 24 ساعة.

Effect of Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) and (Cinnamomum cassia) Extract on the biochemical variables for Induced diabetes of alloxan.

Abstract

Phenolic compounds and active compounds were extracted from the cinnamon in an attempt to produce a drug of vegetable origin for the diabetes of treatment. the results showed the water extract of cinnamon contained (Phenols, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides, coumarins, resins, alkaloids, terpenes, and saponin). Cinnamon effective groups phenolic, Aldahid, Esturian, hydrocarbon, alcohol and carbocsilic compounds were diagnosed by using Infrared spectroscopy (IR). Morever the half deadly dose (LD50) was also examined by testing the toxicity of on cinnamon extract. Rats were used as laboratory animals in conducting the experiments. The rats were fed by the dose (100, 200, 300, 500 mg/ kg of body weight). The results have shown that there is no toxic effect in the cinnamon extract. Similar concentrations were used to determine the effective dose of the extracts in reduces the level of glucose in the blood of healthy animals. It is noticed, that the dose of (300) mg/kg of the animal body weight has proved to be the most decreased efficient as it decreased. and after the expiry of the experiment for peroid 30 days of induced diabetes for alloxan and cinnamon extract and Aldaanal treatmed for been animals fasting 18 hours for the measuring the level of glucose in the blood serum of animals has been showin low level of glucose in the serum, a significant decrease following giving cinnamon extract comparison with the control group (the infected) and predominete Aldaanal treated group.
Biochemical tests showed the concentration of each the following went down cholesterol (TC), Triglyseride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL- C) in the group wihch were treated with cinnamon extract in comparison with the positive groups (infected) throughout the duration and (30) days and predominate Aldaanal treated group. while the high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) level increased in cinnamon extract group But (HDL-C) concentration level decreased in the control group (infected), extract has be proven for Efficiency of treatment. Concentrations of enzymes (GOT) and (GPT) were measured to determine the function of liver where by their levels went up during the duration (15) days with all the groups treated. However, after the (30) days the levels went down in both groups of rats which were treated whith extract of cinnamon compared with two groups, the control (positive) and the Aldaanal.

أستخلصت المركبات الفينولية والمركبات الفعالة من نبات القرفة (الدارسين), في محاولة لإنتاج علاج نباتي ألاصل لعلاج مرض السكري، وبينت النتائج احتواء المستخلص المائي على الفينولات والفلافونيدات والتانينات والكلايكوسيدات والكومارين والراتنجات والقلويدات والتربينات والصابونيين، كما شخصت المجاميع الفعالة للمركبات الفينولية والالديهايدية والاسترية والهيدروكاربونية والكحولية والكاربوكسيلية باستخدام مطياف الأشعة تحت الحمراء، بعدها تم دراسة الجرعة نصف القاتلة (LD50) باختبار السمية لمستخلص القرفة باستخدام الجرذان المختبرية بوساطة التجريع الفموي بتراكيز بلغت 100 و200 و300 و500 ملغم/كغم من وزن الجسم، وبينت النتائج عدم وجود أي تأثير سمي لمستخلص القرفة المائي، كذلك فقد استخدمت التراكيز ذاتها لتحديد الجرعة الفعالة للمستخلص في خفض مستوى الكلوكوز في دم الحيوانات السليمة, إذ لوحظ ان الجرعة البالغة 300 ملغم/كغم من وزن جسم الحيوان كانت الاكفأ، وبعد انتهاء مدة التجربة 30 يوم من الاصابة بالسكري المستحدث بالالوكسان والعلاج بمستخلص القرفة المائي والداؤنيل, تم تجويع الحيوانات لمدة 18 ساعة لغرض قياس مستوى الكلوكوز في مصل الدم الحيوانات ، وقد لوحظ انخفاض مستوى الكلوكوز في المصل انخفاضاً معنوياً بعد إعطاء مستخلص القرفة في المجموعة المعاملة به بالمقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة الموجبة (المصابة) وايضاً تفوقت على مجموعة العلاج بالداؤنيل، واظهرت الاختبارات الكيموحيوية انخفاض تركيز كل من الكوليسترول والكليسرايدات الثلاثية والبروتين الدهني واطئ الكثافة في مصل دم مجموعة الحيوانات المعاملة بمستخلص القرفة انخفاضاً معنوياً قياسا بمجموعة السيطرة الموجبة خلال مدة 30 يوم وتفوقت ايضاً على مجموعة العلاج بالداؤنيل, أما تركيز البروتين الدهني العالي الكثافة فقد ارتفع مستواه في المجموعة المعاملة بمستخلص القرفة وانخفض مستواه في مجموعة السيطرة الموجبة وقد اثبت المستخلص كفأته في العلاج، كما اظهر قياس تراكيز كل من أنزيماتGOT وGPT لتحديد وظيفة الكبد ارتفاع مستوياتهما خلال مدة الايام الاولى من الاصابة في كل المجاميع المعاملة، ولكن بعد فترة 30 يوم من العلاج انخفضت مستوياتهما في المجموعة المعاملة بمستخلص القرفة قياساً بمجموعة السيطرة الموجبة وبالمقارنة مع مجموعة علاج الداؤنيل.

Inhibition Activity of Thuja occidentalis Extract Against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans Isolated form cases of Skin Infections.

Abstract

The study includes isolation and identification of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans form cases of skin infections and evaluation the inhibitory effect of Thuja occidentalis extract by measurement the inhibition zone and Phenol coefficient. The identification of bacteria and fungi was carried out by morphological, cultural and biochemical tests. Forty seven isolates of S. aureus , 31 isolates of C. albicans and 26 isolates of mixed infection were recovered from 104 positive swaps taken from cases of skin infections. All isolates were submitted to sensitivity testes to antibiotic and it was found that S. aureus isolates exhibited complete resistance to Ampicillin, Tetracycline, Gentamicin, Rifampicin, Ceftriaxon, Cefalexin, Trimethoprim, Streptomycin and Neomycin. While C. albicans isolates exhibited complete resistance to Miconazol, Clotrimazole and Ketoconazole. The results of phenol coefficient revealed that the effect of the Thuja occidentalis extracts have higher effect on S. aureus and C. albicans in comparison with phenol. The outcomes of measurement the inhibition zone indicated height antimicrobial activity of Thuja occidentalis extract reached to 29 and 38 mm against S. aureus and 23 and 31 mm against C. albicans at concentration 40 and 50% respectively.

تضمنت الدراسة عزل وتشخيص بكتريا Staphylococcus aureus وفطر Candida albicans المعزولتين من الالتهابات الجلدية وتقييم التأثير التثبيطي لمستخلص نبات العفص occidentalis. Thujaضد هذه المسببات المرضية بحساب الهالة التثبيطية والعامل الفينولي Phenol Coefficient. وشخصت العزلات اعتمادا" على صفاتها الشكلية والمزرعية و الكيموحيوية, اذ تم تشخيص 47 عزلة من S. aureus و 31 عزلة C. albicans و 26 عزلة اصابة مختلطة للبكتريا والفطر من اصل 104 عينة موجبة اخذت من حالات الالتهابات الجلدية واختبرت حساسية العزلات لبعض أنواع المضادات البكتيرية والفطرية وأظهرت جميع عزلات S. aureus مقاومة للمضادات Ampicillin و Tetracycline و Gentamicin و Rifampicin و Ceftriaxon و Cefalexin وTrimethoprim و Neomycin Streptomycin و بينما أبدت C. albicans مقاومة تجاه Miconazol و Clotrimazole و Ketoconazole أما نتائج اختبار العامل الفينولي فأظهرت أن مستخلص نبات العفص كان ذو تأثير كبير مقارنة مع تراكيز الفينول المستخدمة في هذا الاختبار .في حين دلت نتائج حساب الهالة التثبيطية للمستخلص على القابلية التثبيطية العالية له حيث بلغت 38و29 مليمتر ضد S. aureus في حين بلغت 31 و23 مليمتر ضد C. albicans عند التركيزين40 و50% على التوالي.

Effect of laser radiation on different stages of Drosophila melanogaste

Abstract

The effect of different doses of laser on some biological aspects of Drosophila melanogaster exposed as larvae of 3days and pupa of 1days old were studied . Both laser have significant effect on the larvae, pupa period emerged adults and life span of emerged adult.
The result showed that the percentage of death in larva exposed to radiation were 5, 10, 5, 30, 25, 25 and 30% when exposed to doses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 minutes respectively compared to control 0%, the number of adults emerging were 75,55,85,45,25,40 and 45% respectively compared to control 100%.
The pupa to doses of radiation 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 minutes reach the percentage of death of 5, 25, 25, 15, 15 and 30% respectively compared to control 0% and emergence percentage of natural adult of 85, 65, 75, 80, 85 and 70% respectively compared with control was 100%.

تمت دراسة تأثير الليزر في بعض جوانب الأداء الحياتي لحشرة ذبابة الخل المشعة ويرقات بعمر 3 يوم وعذارى بعمر يوم واحد وأوضحت النتائج ان لأشعة الليزر تأثير معنوي في نسبة خروج البالغات وأداءها الحياتي كما لوحظ انه كلما تقدمت اليرقات والعذارى المعرضة لأشعة الليزر بالعمر فأن التأثير يكون اقل وكلما تكون مدة التعريض أكثر يكون التأثير اكبر، اذ أظهرت النتائج ان نسبة موت اليرقات المعرضة الى الإشعاع كانت 5 و10 و5 و30 و25 و25 و30% عند مدة التعريض 1 و 2 و 3 و 4 و 5 و 6 و 7 دقيقة وعلى التوالي مقارنة بالسيطرة التي كانت 0% وانخفضت نسبة بزوغ البالغات من 75 و55 و85 و45 و25 و40 و45% على التوالي لنفس مدة التعريض مقارنة بالسيطرة حيث بلغت 100%.
إما العذارى المعرضة للمدة 8 و10 و12و 14 و16 و18 دقيقة فبلغت نسبة موتها 5 و 25 و 25 و 15 و 15و 30% وعلى التوالي مقارنة بالسيطرة التي بلغت 0% في حين انخفضت نسبة بزوغ البالغات الطبيعية من 85 و 65 و 75 و 80 و 85 و 70% على التوالي لنفس مدة التعريض مقارنة بالسيطرة حيث كانت 100%.

Abstract

Environmental Pollution is considered the one of The most important problems that facing the world in all its countries because of its negative effects on all organisms that live on the earth. This calls as to thinking about solutions that minimize the effects of that problem and control on it.
The porpoise of this study is to use of statistical approaches (multiple comparison in experimental design) to analyze the effects of polluted air in secretion of fibrin factor which helps to blood clotting in mice.
A real data was obtained when the mice injected by different concentrations of pollutants 1.5 micro later, 2 micro Later and 2.5 micro later, the results of statistical analysis show a significant differences due to the use of these pollutants, the study also concluded the main conclusions and recommendations.

Abstract

يعد التلوث البيئي من اهم المشكلات التي تواجه العالم بكافة بلدانه لما له من آثار سلبية على جميع الكائنات التي تعيش على سطح الأرض، وهذا يدعو للتفكير في حلول تسهم في التقليل من آثار تلك المشكلة والسيطرة عليها.
تهدف هذه الدراسة الى استخدام احد الأساليب الإحصائية "المقارنات المتعددة في تصميم التجارب" لتحليل الآثار الناجمة عن دقائق الهواء الملوث على الفئران في إفراز عامل الفبرين الذي يساعد على تخثر الدم.
استحصلت بيانات حقيقية عند حقن الفئران بتراكيز مختلفة من ملوثات دقائق الغبار:1.5 مايكرولتر و 2 مايكرولتر و 2.5 مايكرولتر، أظهرت نتائج التحليل الإحصائي وجود فروقات معنوية نتيجة استخدام تلك الملوثات، كما احتوت الدراسة ايضاً على ابرز الاستنتاجات والتوصيات.

Evaluation of Some Inflammatory Markers with Calcium Status in the Blood for Diabetic Patients in Al- Samawa City

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. The chronic hyperglycemia of diabetes is associated with long-term damage and dysfunction of kidneys, nerves, heart, and blood vessels.
Materials& Methods: colorimetric analysis had been applied for glucose concentration, ALP, Ca, CRP test as well as ESR*.
Results& Conclusions: There is a significant increase in (glucose, ESR, ALP) level in diabetic patients as compared to the control group (P< 0.0001), but no significant difference in (Ca and CRP levels) in diabetic patients as compared to the control group.There is a significant increase difference between (type1& type 2) diabetic patients & control group in (Glucose and ALP level). There is no significant difference between patients with type1& type 2 in (Glucose, ESR, ALP, Ca, CRP levels). There is no significant correlation between (Glucose, ESR, ALP, Ca, CRP level) between patients duration (<5) & duration (5– 10) years. There is a significant positive correlation between (Glucose, ESR, Ca, CRP level) in diabetic patients with duration of the disease (duration <5) &( duration >10) years, there is a weak significant positive correlation in (Glucose, ESR, CRP level) in diabetic patients with duration of the disease between patients (duration 5- 10)& (duration >10) years. Also a significant positive correlation between (Ca level) in diabetic patients with duration of the disease between patients (duration 5- 10)& (duration >10) years.

وجود زيادة داله في مستوى ALP و ESR و Glucose وعدم جود فرق معنوي دال في مستوى CRP و Ca بين مرضى داء السكري مقارنة مع مجموعتي التحكم، كما لوحظ وجود زيادة داله في مستوى ALP و Glucose بين مرضى داء السكري للنوعين الأول والثاني مقارنة مع مجموعتي التحكم، وعدم وجود فرق معنوي دال في مستوى CRP و Ca و ALP و ESR و Glucose بين مرضى داء السكري للنوع الأول مقارنة مع النوع الثاني، كذلك عدم وجود فرق معنوي دال في مستوى CRP و Ca و ALP و ESR و Glucose بين مرضى داء السكري ذوي فترة الإصابة بين (اقل من 5 سنوات و 10-5 سنة)، في حين يلاحظ وجود زيادة داله في مستوى CRP و Ca و ESR و Glucose بين مرضى داء السكري ذوي فترة الإصابة بين (اقل من 5 سنوات و أكثر من 10 سنوات)، بينما يلاحظ وجود زيادة ضعيفة داله في مستوى CRP و ESR و Glucose بين مرضى داء السكري ذوي فترة الإصابة بين (من 10-5 سنة و أكثر من 10 سنوات)، وأخيرا وجود زيادة داله في مستوى Ca بين مرضى داء السكري ذوي فترة الإصابة بين (من 10-5 سنة و أكثر من 10 سنوات).

Immunogenic Activity of Lipopolysaccharide Isolated from Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium and Conjugated with Liposome in Albino Male Mice.

Abstract

This study was designed to evaluate the role of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium as a causative pathogen in hospitalized diarrhoeal patients younger than five years old, extract and purify endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide; LPS) from isolated and identified S. Typhimurium, and determine the immunogenic activity (humoral and cellular immune responses) of LPS-liposome conjugate in albino male mice. The patients (95 cases) were admitted to the Central Pediatric Hospital and Al-Kadhiymiah Pediatric Hospital in Baghdad during the period 24/10/2010 - 30/11/2010, because of severe diarrhoea and fever. Bacterial evaluation of stool samples revealed the identification of two (2.1%) S. Typhimurium isolates (S1 and S2). Antibiotic sensitivity test demonstrated that S1 isolate was more resistance than S2 isolate; therefore it was considered more virulent and subjected for extraction and purification of LPS. Chemical characterization of the extracted LPS revealed that the carbohydrate content was 2.34 mg/ml, while the protein concentration was very low (0.52 μg/ml). Partial purification of extracted LPS by using gel-filtration chromatography (Sephacryl S200) showed three peaks, and after determination of protein and carbohydrate concentrations for each peak, peak two was observed to have the highest carbohydrate content (25%) and the lowest contaminated protein (0.001%). The LPS of this peak was immunologically evaluated in mice at a concentration of 100 μg/ml, alone or in conjugation with a commercially available liposome (LIP). These evaluations revealed that LPS-LIP conjugate was able to modulate the humoral and cellular immune responses against live S. Typhimurium.

Abstract

صممت الدراسة لتقييم دور بكتريا Salmonella enterica الضرب Typhimurium كممرض مسبب للإسهال في المرضى الراقدين في المستشفى وبعمر أقل من خمسة سنوات، واستخلاص وتنقية الذيفان الداخلي (متعدد السكريد الشحمي) المعزول والمنقى من بكتريا S. Typhimurium المشخصة، وتحديد الفعالية التمنيعية (الاستجابتين المناعيتين الخلوية والخلطية) للمقترن متعدد السكريد الشحمي-الجسم الشحمي في ذكور الفأر الأبيض. أدخل المرضى (95 حالة) إلى مستشفى الطفل المركزي ومستشفى الكاظمية للأطفال في بغداد خلال الفترة 24/10/2010-30/11/2010 بسبب الإسهال الحاد والحمى. وفي ضوء التقييم البكتيري لعينات الخروج، تم الحصول على عزلتين (2.1%) من بكتريا S. Typhimurium وهي S1 وS2، وكانت العزلة S1 أكثر مقاومة للمضادات الحيوية من العزلة S2 وبالتالي عدت أكثر ضراوة واستعملت في استخلاص وتنقية متعدد السكريد الشحمي. أظهر التوصيف الكيميائي لمتعدد السكريد الشحمي المستخلص بأن المحتوى الكاربوهيدراتي هو 2.34 ملغم/مل، في حين كان تركيز البروتين واطئ جدا (0.52 مايكروغرام/مل)، وعند التنقية الجزئية للمستخلص باستعمال تقنية الكروماتوغرافي على الهلام (Sephacryl S200)، ظهرت ثلاث قمم وبعد تحديد المحتوى الكاربوهيدراتي والبروتيني لها، انفردت القمة الثانية بأعلى محتوى كاربوهيدراتي (25%) وأقل تلوث بالبروتين (0.001%). أجري تقييم مناعي لمتعدد السكريد الشحمي لهذه القمة في الفئران بصورة مفردة وبتركيز 100 مايكروغرام/مل أو بصورة مقترنة مع الجسم الشحمي. أوضحت هذه التقييمات بامتلاك مقترن متعدد السكريد الشحمي-الجسم الشحمي القدرة على تعديل الاستجابتين المناعيتين الخلوية والخلطية ضد بكتريا S. Typhimurium الحية.

Abstract

Methanolic extracts of different parts of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (roots with rhizomes, stems, leaves and seeds), were tested for antibacterial and antifungal activities. Antibacterial study performed against six bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Escherishia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi and Shigella dysenteriae), and antifungal activity performed against one fungus (Candida albicans). The effect of the extracts was tested separately using Agar- well diffusion method. Indicated that investigated plant parts have potent activity against all microorganisms especially at 2.5 and 2.0 µg/ml. the inhibition zone in seeds extract reached 37& 35 mm for bacteria S. aureus and B. cereus respectively, by compared with Streptomycin and also reached in seeds extract 20 mm for fungus by compared with Nystatin. Also the results showed that seeds extract have a good effect as antibacterial while the roots extract showed a best effects from other extracts as antifungus.

Abstract

اجريت الدراسة لمعرفة الفعالية التثبيطية للمستخلص الميثانولي للاجزاء النباتية المختلفة (الجذور مع الرايزومات والسيقان والاوراق والبذور) لنبات السوس (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) تجاه 6 انواع بكتيرية متمثلة بـ Staphylococcus aureus و Bacillus cereus و Escherishia coli و Pseudomonas aeruginosa و Salmonella typhi و Shigella dysenteriae فضلاً عن خميرة الفطـر كانديدا Candida albicans وذلك باستخدام طريقة الانتشار بالحفر اذ تم تقدير الفعّالية التثبيطية للمستخلص بقياس معـدل النمو القطري للبكتريا والفطر واظهرت النتائج وجود تأثيـر تثبيطي معنوي بالنسبة للاحياء المجهرية كافة قيد الدراسة، اذ بلغت اوجها في اعلى تركيزين (2.0 و 2.5 مايكروغرام/ مل)، وبلغت منطقة التثبيط في مستخلص البذور (37 و35 ملم) للبكتـريا S. aureus و B. cereus على التوالي مقارنة بالمضاد الحيوي Streptomycin للمقارنة مع البكتريا وبلغت ايضاً في مستخلص البذور (20 ملم) للفطر كانديدا مقارنة بالمضاد الحيوي Nystatin وكذلك بينت نتائج المقارنة بين مستخلصات الاجزاء النباتية ان مستخلص البذور اعطى تأثيراً جيداً كمضاد للبكتريا بينما مستخلص الجذور اعطى افضل تأثير من بقية المستخلصات كمضاد للفطر.
