Journal History

Baghdad Science Journal is a refereed scientific journal issued by the College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad. It was established in 2004 under the title \"Um Salama Journal.\" The new title, Baghdad Science Journal, was first commissioned in 2009. Beginning in 2024, the journal transitioned to a monthly publication frequency, producing 12 issues per year instead of 6.

Digital Archiving

Baghdad Science Journal is preserved through CLOCKSS, (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), which provides robust digital preservation and all published articles are systematically archived in the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals. To guarantee permanent accessibility, articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) by Crossref. Additionally, Baghdad Science Journal ensures that all published articles are deposited in the Digital Repository of University of Baghdad, and Sherpa/Romeo making them accessible without requiring additional deposition by authors. The journal applies the license of CC BY (a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license). This license allows authors to keep ownership of the copyright of their papers.
