Differential diagnosis of protozoan parasite Entamoeba histolytica is of great clinical and epidemiological importance in the case of acute dysentery by microscopy. The present study was carried out from October 2009 to February 2010. This study focused on relationship between some parasitic infestations, anemia and blood picture. A total of 424 fecal samples were collected from patients. The stool specimens were examined by lightmicroscopy (Direct slide smear, Iodine wet mount) to distinguish E. histolytica. Also venous blood sample collected from each patient was tested for hemoglobin concentration (Hb%), packed cell volume (PCV) and leukocyte count (WBCs differential). Overall 16% ( 68/424) of the examined patients had parasitic infestation with E.histolytica. For each of E.histolyticainfestation , ≥ 65% of the infested patients were anemic.The results showed that the higher infection and the lower hemoglobin rate (anemia) in age (under 10 years old).The male was predominant. There was no significant difference in occurrence of anemia between genders ( X² = 0.58, P <0.05). This study has shown that some parasitic infestations, at least , contribute to anemic in Wasit province

High levels of sister chromtid exchanges (SCE) in patients with breast caner reflects a genomic instability that may be operative in carcinogenesis.The frequency of sister chromatid exchanges in peripheral blood lymphocytes was analyzed in patients with breast cancer in relation to clinical stage in 12 stage II and 5 Stage IV untreated breast cancer patients.Moreover,SCE baseline values in patients were compared with a control group of 12 healthy women. A significant difference emerged between patients and control (P<0.01).SCE increased significantly in stage IV breast cancer patients compared with those patients of stage II (P<0.05).The results reveal that SCE frequency increases with the progression of clinical stage of breast cancer.

A streamer in dielectric liquid (transformer oil) is consist of charged particles (electron, positive and negative ion). It has many properties such as: streamer velocity, streamer diameter, mean electron energy, number of streamers branches and current density. Some of these properties have been detected by using the photographic technique to get a data and it should be in a good agreement with theoretical and experimental results. The streamers diameters and streamers velocity are increased with voltage.

The trail conducted to study the effect of sinaflor drug Syrian origin which contain 1 mg [NaF] on the reproductive system of twenty adult male mice. . the mice were divided randomly in to four groups .first group were given 0.500 ppm fluorine in drinking water second and third groups were given 0.250 and 0.125 ppm fluorine in drinking water respectively .The control group was given drinking water .The experiment continue fifty days and mice were scarified at the end of the period to study the fertility parameters Results showed that Sperm count and, dead sperm percentage had significant difference's( p<0.05 )in treated mice groups compared with control, while. Abnormal sperm and abnormal acrosome percentages had no differences between treated groups and control . Here was a significant difference( p<0.05) in sera testosterone level between the treated groups compared with control group .fluorine accumulation in the testes was also measured and found the accumulation is increased and follow the increasing concentration of NaF in drinking water

A total of 91 rodents were identified including Rattus norvegicus (n=58) , Rattus rattus (n=31) & Mus musculus( n=2) which were collected from five districts of Baghdad area during 2005-2006 ; with total general ectoparasites prevalence infestation (72.5%). A total of 306 ectoparasites were collected comprising flea, lice, mites and tick . Eight species of ectoparasites were identified , comprising flea , Xenopsylla cheopis ; tick , Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum ; lice , Hoploplerura oenomydis, H. acanthopus, Polyplax spinulosa; mites , Dermanyssus gallinae, Ornithonyssus bacoti , Laelaps echidnina. Mites recorded highest prevalence and index then lice with least flea and tick prevalence's and indices in general ; Only mites were collected from Mus musculus. Rattus rattus ectoparasites means were higher than that of Rattus norvegicus but not statistically significant (P=0.231) , while there were Statistically significant differences detected with chi square (P = 0.008), and Kruskal-Wallis one way analysis of variance on rank (P > 0.001) at 0.05 level between one or two means of lice , mites , fleas and ticks of Rattus norvegicus , Rattus rattus & Mus musculus . Given parameters of rodents vector arthropods understudy could assists in control of zoonotic diseases such as plague and murine typhus .

This study had been carried out in order to measure the efficacy of crude hot aqueous and alcohol exracts for leaves of Adhatoda vasica at 2500 , 2000 , 1500 ppm on nymphs and adults of Ommatissus Lybicus.Also, It was fownd that , the alcohol extract gave killing percent age 100% on adults after three days at 2500 ppm were the hot aqueous extract gave Killing percent 100% on adults after one week from treatment at 2500 ppm the alcohol extract gave a killing 96% on nymphs at 2500 ppm after one week from treatment and the hot aqueous extract gave higher percent age 84% at 2500 ppm after one week from treatment .

In this research was fabricated SnIn/c-Si Hetrojunction Solar Cell, where SnIn/c-Si heterojunction Solar Cell fabricated by deposition of SnIn film with thickness 500 nm on c-Si by using thermal evaporation. Electrical properties of SnIn thin film include d.c conductivity and Hall effect at different annealing temperature. From d.c conductivity found the electrical activation energies Ea1 and Ea2 increase with increasing of annealing temperature from 323K to 348K. From I-V characteristics, measurements efficiency of the found increasing from (1.5 to 4.67)% with increasing of annealing temperature.

Two trails were carried out to study the relationship between sexual characteristics of buck and doe with some blood parameters in New Zealand white rabbits . Atotal of 10 male rabbits ( 6-7- months old) and 8 primiparous doe rabbits (6 months of age)have been used in the first and second traits, respectively .The results of the first trail showed that buck trails were within the normal range .The correlation coefficient values, were positive (P > 0.01) between ejaculate volume and total protein , albumin and between blood electrolytes (Ca , Na and K) and each of sperm motility and sperm concentration were negative(P > 0.01 or 0.05 ) between Ca , Na and K and each of dead and abnormal spermatozoa . Inorganic phosphorus was positively correlated. (P > 0.05) with sperm concentration. The correlation coefficient values between globulin, urea-N or creatinine and each of libido, semen physical characteristics and fertility ability, were not significant . In the second trial , the mean values of doe trails were found within the normal range . the correlation coefficients were significantly ( P > 0.01)positive between total protein and conception rate and between creatinine and each of litter weight at day 21,litter gin weight at weaning also between Ca and each of gestation length , gain weight at weaning , Na and litter size at day 21 and between K and gestation length .Correlation coefficient values between globulin, urea-N or P and each of doe traits , were not significant . Generally, the overall means of blood constituents were nearly or within the normal level of Rabbits

Raman Fiber Amplifiers offer an adjustable gain spectrum in terms of band width ,gain window and gain spectrum shape ,thus the composite Raman gain can be very flat over a wide band In this work an investigation on Raman gain with backward pumping is introduced using twelve pump lasers with optimum pump power to produce gain flattened for 94 nm band width from 1520 to 1614 nm that contains 100 equal spaced channels, with again ripple of 1.28dB which contain the C-and L-band. Over 25 Km span. Then the effect of fiber length on the gain flatting were introduced and the gain saturation have been analyzed.

A new series of heterocyclic amides have been prepared (2a-k) from the reaction of phenyl acetyl chloride with a series of heterocyclic amines containing a 1,3,4- dithiazaol unit. The structures of these new compounds were confirmed on the basis of IR, and one of them by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR. The synthesized products were tested for antimicrobial activity against a variety of test organisms: Staphylococcus aureus(+ve), Escherichia coli(-ve), Enterobactria Cloacae (-ve) & Klebsiella(-ve).

The present study has been carried out to determine the hypoglycemic effect of (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed and (Syzygium aromaticum) fruit extracts administration as well as insulin injection in alloxan – induced diabetic female albino mice. Forty mice were randomaly assigned into two groups, control (10 mice) drenched with drinking water, while treated group (30 mice) were injected with alloxan (150 mg / kg) body weight. Treated group was further divided into three equal groups , first group drenched with (Trigonella foenum-graecum ) seed extracted (200 mg / kg .b .w ) , second group drenched with (Syzygium aromaticum ) fruit extracted ( 200 mg / kg .b .w ) , and third group injected with insulin ( 0.02 unit / mg / kg . b. w ) . The results revealed potent hypoglycemic effect of both (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extract and (Syzygium aromaticum) fruit extract in diabetic groups which showed no significant differences when compared with that of control and Significant differences when compared with that of alloxan group . On the other hand (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extract revealed more potency than (Syzygium aromaticum) fruit extract.

The δ-Multipole mixing ratios of  -transitions from levels of 70As populated in the Ge 70 32 (p,nγ) As 70 33 reaction are calculated by using the constant statistical tensor method (CST). This method has been used in other works [1-5] but only with pure transitions or with transitions that can be considered as pure transitions. In our work, we used this method for mixed gamma -transitions in addition to pure gmma - transitions. The experimental angular distribution coefficients (a2) was used from previous work [6] in order to calculet δ-values.

Entamoeba histolytica is intestinal protozoan parasite still major health problem in tropical and subtropical areas. Diarrhoeal stool specimens from 78 persons between age of 1 month and 60 years attending to Al-Karamah's Hospital at Wasit Province of Iraq, were examined for the presence of Entamoeba hitolytica. Of these,13 out of 78 patients, (16.6%) were found infected with parasite. The distribution of Entamoeba hitolytica infection among the population surveyed were also analysed according to the gender and age.The higher infection was appeared in males (20 %) than females (10.7). Prevalence of E. histolytica was found to increase with age group(21- 40) years (22%) whereas absent in age group ( < 1).

This study was conducted in 2010 to know the effect of the pathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana on eggs and larvae of wax moth Galleria mellonella and by using the following dilution 6.8 × 10‾¹ and 6.8 × 10‾ ² and 6.8 × 10 ‾ ³ and 6.8 × 10 ‾ 4. The result showed that the best dilutions used and affecting the hatching eggs is to reduce 10 ‾ ¹ and 10‾ ³ reaching less than the rate of cracked eggs was seen 0.67 eggs, either the effect of mushrooms on the roles of larval found that the best mitigate any effect on the larvae of age I was 10 ‾ ³, which gave the murder rate reached 2.91 larva either the best treatment used is the treatment of spray + feed, which gave 3.27 larva dead, either dilutions the best in the killing instar larvae II 10‾ ³ It gave 3.12 either the best treatment is treatment of spraying, which gave 3.25 larva dead, either in the third age, the best dilutions is 10 ‾ ¹, which gave an average of 3.58 and transactions were the best and most impact in this age is the treatment of spraying as Attt 2.91 larva dead, either in the larvae of old fourth, the best dilutions was 10 ‾ ³, which gave an average of 3.10 either the transaction is better at this age was treatment spray + feed, which gave 3.41 larva dead, either the dilution that achieved the highest murder rate in the larvae of old V was mitigation 10‾ ¹ It gave 3.22 either transactions surpassed the number of larvae dead were treated spray + feed, which gave an average of 3.17 larva dead, either instar larvae VI felt mostly mitigation 10 ‾ ¹, which gave the murder rate stood at 3.22 either the best treatment was the treatment of spray + feed, which gave 3.33 larva is dead, or the age the last affected by mitigation 10 ‾ ¹, which gave an average of 3.22 either transaction the best in the influence that age were sprayed + fed and which gave the murder rate stood at 3.08 larva dead.

Methionine is an essential amino acid. When the metabolic pathway of methionine are interrupted, Homocysteine (Hcy) level will be elevated ,and this elevation is pathogenic. Folic acid can effectively reduce blood Hcy levels. The thirty adult male rats were randomly divided in to three equal groups and were treated daily as follows for 42 days. first (T1) served as control group. Rats of the second group (T2) were intubated orally 100 mg / kg B.W. of methionine . rats of the third group (T3) were intubated same doses of methionine plus 5mg of folic acid supplementation . Fasting blood samples were collected at 21, and 42 days of experiment to study the following parameters: Serum creatinine (SC) concentration, Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) concentration and Serum uric acid (SUA) concentration . Furthermore; section of kidney was assessed for histopathological studies. The resulted revealed significant increase (P< 0.05)of methionine group in SC , BUN and SUA concentrations in 12 , 42 day of treatment as comparing to control (T1). On the other hand that animals treated with folic acid plus methionine (T3) showed significant decline in SC , BUN and SUA concentrations in 42 day of treatment . Histological section of rat kidney received methionine showed monocyte cells around collected renal tubules ,while folic acid supplementation in groups T3caused regression of renal damage induced by methionine. It seems that methionine was effective in induction of oxidative stress and change in some biological markers related to kidney disease. Also it seems that folic acid exert protective actions against the damaging effect of methionine.

This study conducted on inpatients admitted to Al-Diwaniyah teaching hospital at period from January to June 2010 to recognize the histopathological changes of tumor cells of urinary bladder in comparison with normal cells. The histopathological examination of urinary tract infections (UTIs) showed normal thickness of urothelium, in addition, the submucosa and the muscular tissue were congested and oedematous. The present study showed that the transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder divided into three major grades: Grade І , Grade ІІ, Grade ІІІ. In this study, the immunehistochemical expression of cytokeratin 7 used to confirm the diagnosis of urinary bladder cancer. The results revealed a positive and negative reaction between tumor cells and cytokeratin7 antibody.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between overweight and dental caries in primary and permanent teeth among Iraqi children aged 7-9 years of both genders in Wassit Governorate . The sample was collected during a period started from 1/ September to 1/November 2010. The weight and height of children were measured using Electronic Body Scale and BMI was calculated to each child in this study. In the present study, it was found that percent of overweight and obesity was 6% and it increased with age. Results showed the mean of DMFT for overweight children was (1.4±1.38) while for normal weight children was (1.29±1.42) and the mean of dmft for overweight children was (4.52 ± 2.51) compared to (4.27 ± 2.56) for normal weight school children. In addition, it was found that prevalence of dental caries in overweight children was 100% and 60% for primary and permanent dentitions, respectively and the prevalence in normal weight was 92.8% and 53.6% for primary and permanent dentitions, respectively. Statistical analysis showed no significant association between overweight and dental caries in primary and permanent teeth. It was concluded that overweight school children had higher mean dental caries scores( DMFT and dmft) and higher prevalence of dental caries in primary and permanent teeth than normal weight school children but there was no significant association between overweight and dental caries prevalence and severity.

This paper was carried out to study the effect of the velocity ratio of cooling air on the temperature distribution in the turbine blade passage0The experimental and computation method gives a clear picture of the penetration area and the temperature distribution in the passage. All the calibration of the instrument and the laws of the five hole probe may be notes in the section test rig. Several cases have been studied in this research by using three-velocity ratio (VR=0.5, 1and 2), and three different locations (99% ,90% and 75%) from the end wall with the jets angle θ= 450.the hole diameter (d= 0.1 cm). The procedure solves the governing equation numerically by using the finite volume method semi implicit method for pressure-linked equation. Therefore the present results show an accepted agreement if compared with experimental work. The maximum temperature occurred of VR=0.5 and the jet location (99%) from the end wall .Therefore the temperatures are fluctuated at the core, and decreased gradually from the jet core to outside. The temperatures are increase with decrease the velocity ratio at the same the jut location from the axial chored.

This study was made to evaluate the watery extract both hot and cold of Glycyrrhiza Glabra root on the growing of Candida albicans comparing with Nystatin and Clotrimazol .both cold and hot extract shows inhibitory effect with significant value on (P<0.05) on the growing of Candida albicans comparing with distal water and Nystatin in which the yeast was resistant to that drug . The hot extract in concentration (200 mg/ml) more effective than Clotrimazole , while the cold watery extract did not show the same effect . The hot watery extract was more effective than the cold one .The average of inhibition zone for the first extract on the concentration 50,100,150,200 mg/ml were 11.2,14.6,17.1,21.5 mm, while the average of inhibition zone for the second extract at the same concentrations as following 9.3,21.1,16.6,17.7 mm ,the results shows that the watery extract of Glycyrrhiza Glabra root can be use as an antifungal in the infection with Candida albicans

Afield study aimed to identify the burns in children and relation with some variables such as Age , sex , order of child in the family , education level of motherThe sample of the study involved (50) case of burn from Al-Diwaniya educational hospital for the period 1 / 6 / 2008 – 30 / 11 / 2008 Data were collected by special questionnaire designed for purpose of the study and analyzed by using frequency distribution and relative frequency. The result of the study revealed that 34% of children were Toddlers, male more than female (54%) , (58%) of children were intermediate order in family. 50% of mothers were illiterate 70% of burns were fires, 50% the degree of burn of 20% , 48% of mothers were removed the clothes of burn child and put ointment. The study recommends about follow the toddlers children and health education of mothers about true first aids of burns.

This study was design to find out the effect of curcume on the liver enzymes and the function of the kidney by giving these animals curcume 150,300mg/kg/body weight with water in adult female rats .Twenty one adult female rats was divided randomly into 3groups :control group which was given normal drinking water and diet ,treatment (k1)which wasgiven curcume150mg/kg/body weight with drinking water ,treatment(k2)which was given curcume 300mg/kg/body weight for five weeks . Blood samples were taken in 1,3,5weeks of the expermental period to measure (urea,creatinine,Gpt,Got,alkaline phosphatase ,total serum bilirubin).the study revealed the treatment by curcume150mg/kg ,300mg/kg due to increase in the liver enzymes and metabolic product of the kidney
the conclution from this study curcum play role in the function of the liver enzymes and lead to increase the production of secretion of bile salt and this lead to filteration the blood from the product and toxic material.

In this study the progress in the realization of environmentally stable, high phase thickness, long-pass edge filters for UV applications is reported. These filters are characterized by extremely sharp transitions from full transmittance to deep blocking. Such filters are manufactured via physical vapor deposition of Hafnia (HfO2). Filters with highest phase thickness exhibit the steepest edge slopes. In this work we produce two types of filters, the first one manufactured using Ion Assisted Deposition (IAD), and the second one prepared by Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technique. When comparing the results for moisture stability of edge filters produced by IAD and PVD, it is found that the filters produced with ion assist exhibit wet-dry shifts in edge wavelength location less than 0.05%.

The research aimed to evaluate the process of extension field day implementation conducted by the State Board of Agricultuml Extension and Cooperation in some of the Iraqi middle governorate , through discovery of the weak points and diagnosing the strength points in each process to reach judgment and giving recommendations which can serve the decision makers . Arandom sample of extension field days from wasit and Babel governorates was chosen . The population of the study consisted of (119) farmers , (10) administrators , (11) subject matter specialists , and (10) extension workers . To collect the data a questionnaire covered (40) items was used . The study concluded a weakness of implementation of some parts of field day . About two- third (66%) of investigated categories (administrators , specialists , extensionists , and farmers) showed that the availability of materials ( improved seeds , fertilizers , herbicide , and machines , etc…) was weak and the profitability of adoption of these technologies was low . There was also unavailability of implementation materials like the full backage that facilitate the use of improved agricultural technologies . This is due to the lack of enough number of extensionists and specialists on the implementation levels of farms and extension units. The results also indicated that the most education tools that used in the field day were theoretical ones rather than practical. It is recommended the importance of availability of materials and equipments such as improved seeds , fettilizers , herbicides , and machines at the appropriate time as well as availability of technical materials like extension packages which are necessary for adoption process of new technologies by subjected farmers

Mathematical model for co-current spray dryer is developed . The model is axisymmetric dimensional model and two way coupling .It includes the mass, momentum, and heat transfer for a single drying droplet as well as for drying medium . The system used is water-air.The model used a system of equations to compute the axial and radial distribution of droplet diameter, its velocity , temperature and rate of evaporation , and air temperature , humidity and velocity in spray drying chamber .The model includes a system of non linear first order differential equations as a function of the axial distance of thespray drying chamber .The results obtained from the model are shown to be in agreement with experimental results.

The red wasp vespa orientalis and yellow wasp polistes olivaceusis the Iraqi ecological .the information about them is little. this study was doing to know what the nature nest composed of. this study was doing in the college of Agriculture of Baghdad and in the company research of Agriculture (Soil research's ) during the period 1/2/2007 –1/7/2008 . this study appears that the nest of the red wasp was biger than the yellow wasp and the diameter of it was longer than yellow wasp .and the ratio of the nature composition of the nest for red wasp was : clay 46.5 , silt 22.1 , organic material 13.5 organic carbon 8.4 , sand 8.0 , cellulose 1.5 and the ratio of the nature composition of the nest forthe yellow wasp was : cellulose 30.7 , clay 19.9 , organic carbon 12.2 , silt 11.8 , sand 8.9 , so that the nature composition for the nest of the two kinds wasps is different each other .and this study show that the distance of flying for both kinds of wasps was , 400m from their nests , and in the test of attractive to to the fish while the yellow wasp attracted to the honey and insects

An example is presented in this study, the characteristic of multi-disc mill for a good construction has an important role modeling of forces and area milling of the plastics in recycling specifically analysing loads quasi-shearing. In this theoretical study advanced software such as Solid Works are preformed. The authors used a program of quasi-shearing for plastics specimens made of primary and recycled polymer in order to determine strains and loads in actual mill. Continuous machine crumbling of recycled plastic materials is also examined. This allows the authors to determine efficiency and power requirements, in direction of optimization.

In this work, particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) models have been built for the design of microstrip antennas in various forms such as rectangular and equilateral triangle antenna. The analysis problem can be defined as to obtain resonant frequency for a given dielectric material and geometrical structure. This approach has a few advantages: giving a clearer and simpler representation of the problem, and totally avoiding binary encoding and decoding so as to simplify software programming. The antenna designed using PSO is implemented using Microwave Office software 7.1 produced in 2007.

The main objective of present study is estimation of cost of a typical house located in Kut center ( Wassit governorate), suitable for a family of eight persons ( the average no. of persons per house hold in the govern orate is 8.13), with an average built up area 130 m2 0n a plot of 10m *20m(200 m2).The design of the dwelling unit consists of a ground floor only with a family room, kitchen, two toilets, two bedrooms, living room, one bathroom and staircase with penthouse. The structure of this dwelling unit consists of 25 cm thick load bearing. This study gives all the percentage of each item of materials and labor from the total cost and the cost of sq.m for year 2009 and the comparison with year 2002.The cost of the house (material and labor) per sq. m was estimated to be 375663 I.D, while the
cost of (material) per sq.m was 233048 I.D, and the cost of (labor) per sq.m was 142615 I.D. and the total cost with the benefit of the contractor was estimated to be 53719910 I.D.This study declare that the cost of the house frame represent 57% of total cost and the finishing work represent 37% while the sanitary and electrical work represent 6% of the total cost. In comparison build cost between 2002 and 2009 it was found that the cost of same house increased about 379% due to increasing of construction materials and labor cost during this period. The prices of construction materials and labor in 2009 are more than 2002 as follow (brick 850%, cement 544%, labor 410%, sand 586%, and gravel 497 %.)
