This research focuses on the significance of context in the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an. Context is considered one of the most important sources in Qur’anic exegesis, as there is hardly a verse in which this source is not present and influential in its interpretation and clarification. I have chosen *Tafsir al-Jalalayn* to illustrate the importance of this source, as it is one of the valuable and beneficial commentaries that has gained widespread acceptance among Muslims and has been widely utilized across the Islamic world. This is due to its concise expressions and clear, straightforward style, free from complexity and ambiguity. In my modest research, I have presented examples from Surah Yusuf (peace be upon him), demonstrating how the two esteemed commentators relied on context in interpreting these verses, and highlighting the profound impact context has in attaining the intended meaning of Allah.

يهتم هذا البحث بأهمية السياق في تفسير القران الكريم؛ اذ يعدّ السياق أحد أهم المصادر في تفسير القرآن الكريم؛ إِذ ما من آية إلا ويكون هذا المصدر حاضرًا ومؤثرًا عند تفسيرها وبيانها، وقد اخترت تفسير الجلاليين لبيان أهمية هذا المصدر كونه من التفاسير القيمة المفيدة، التي لاقت انتشاراً واسعاً بين المسلمين، وعمَّ النفع به في ديار المسلمين كافة؛ ولما امتاز به من عبارات وجيزة، وأسلوب واضح بين، ليس فيه تعقيد ولا غموض، وقد بينت في بحثي المتواضع نماذج من سورة يوسف (عليه السلام) في استدلال المفسرين الجليلين بالسياق في تفسير هذه الآيات وما للسياق من اثر بالغ في الوصول الى مراد الله .
