Abstract
Antibiotic susceptibility test showed that all isolates of
Staphylococcus epidermidis were resistant to penicillin G and
they have a high resistant to cefitriaxone & azithromycin ( 88.5 ,
87.2 ) % of isolates respectively . A moderate resistant shown in
resistance of isolates to amikacin (40% ) . While , the isolates were
less resistant to ofloxacin , ciprofloxacin , cephalothin &
vancomycin ( 20 , 14.3 , 11.4 , 10 ) % respectively . there were
high significant differences ( p<0.01 ) in susceptibility of isolates to
antibiotics except for cephalothin & vancomycin , also between
cefitriaxone & azithromycin under ( p<0.05 ) . 31 ( 44.3 % ) of
isolates had the ability to produced biofilm on a plastic surfaces of
microtiter plates .
