Abstract
The types of US-Russian competition over the South Caucasus region date back to the Cold War and post-Cold War periods, due to its geopolitical importance bordering near the European continent, and its proximity to the oil and gas reserves in the Caspian Sea basin, where pipelines pass through Azerbaijan and Georgia towards Europe, away from Russian territory itself. Abstract
تعود أنماط التنافس الأمريكي الروسي حيال منطقة جنوبي القوقاز إلى مرحلتي الحرب الباردة وما بعدها؛ بسبب أهميتها الجغرافية السياسية المتاخمة للقارة الأوروبية من جهة، والقرب من احتياطيات النفط والغاز في حوض بحر قزوين، حيث خطوط الأنابيب التي تمر عبر أذربيجان وجورجيا باتجاه أوروبا بعيداً عن الأراضي الروسية من جهة أخرى. في الوقت الذي تسعى فيه الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية للتوجه نحو دعم بدائل الطاقة الأوروبية وتقليل الاعتماد على الغاز الروسي، وبخاصة عقب قيام روسيا بغزو المناطق الجنوبية الشرقية من أوكرانيا (إقليم دونباس) ضمن عملياتها العسكرية الخاصة التي شنتها في الرابع والعشرين من شباط للعام 2022. ففي مرحلة سابقة، جاءت محنة الحرب الروسية في جورجيا
