Effect of toxin fractions of protoscoleces (P) and hydatid cyst fluid (HCF), isolated from hydatid cysts of sheep origin
on phagocytosis was investigated. Mice of the species Mus musculus were injected with these TFs, at different
concentrations (2.5&5µg), prior to infection with secondary hydatid disease. Results show that neutrophils express a
different affinity towards TFs of different concentrations and different sources (P and HCF). Phagocytosis was higher in
+ve control compared to –ve control, and was higher at concentration 2.5µg compared to 5µg in P and was the other
way around in HCF at 5µg, indicating that there is a correlation between concentration of TFs, their source and their
effect.

A prospective study designed to investigate the histopathological changes in livers of 67 patients undergoing
cholecystectomy and to relate these changes to the underlying biliary tract pathology.Sixty three had gall stones, one
cholesterolosis only, and there were three cases of acute acalaculous cholecystitis. Only 34% of the patients had
completely normally liver biopsy specimens.
The most clinically important pathology was found in 11 of the 14 patients with choledocholithiasis: three of these had
cholangitis and eight had features of large bile duct obstruction (four also had chronic cholestasis and portal-portal
linking fibrosis). Non-specific reactive hepatitis was the most common abnormality in remaining 53 patients with
cholecystitis alone, and was found in 18. A further four patients had chronic cholestasis without fibrosis was a
coincidental finding in another. Clinical symptoms were poorly correlated with gall bladder and liver pathology apart
from an association between jaundice and choledocholithiasis. Liver function tests of obstructive pattern were noted in
23 of 58 patients ,most of whom had choledocholithiasis or non-specific reactive hepatitis .Bile cultures were positive in
10 of 42 patients predomininantly in cases of cholangitis and acute cholecystitis.
Cholangitis and extensive fibrosis associated with large bile duct obstruction are
common findings in patients with choledocholithasis. The liver disease may progress to secondary biliary cirrhosis if
the obstruction is not relieved, emphasizing the need for early surgery. A preoperative liver biopsy may be useful to
exclude cirrhosis in these patients, but is unlikely to be informative in those with cholecystitis alone.

Background: This study concerned with the effect of Trichomonas vaginalis parasite on the histology of Mice testis.
Objective: many histological changes in the mice testis infected with this parasite.
Design and Setting: 25 experimental mice were used (10) as a control group and (15) mice of one month age .The
parasite was taken from the vaginal swab of the female consult AL-Battol teaching hospital and after (15) days of
inoculation of the parasite in the mice the testis was taken which showed many histological changes while no such
changes in the testis of the control group.
Results: The testis of the second group showed the presence of the Trichomonas vaginalis together with intense
inflammatory cellular infiltration, edema and congestion of blood vessels. Cessation in the process of spermatogesis
with destruction of ledig cells.
Conclusion: All these changes indicated that the infection with the Trichomonas vaginalis parasite could affect all
organs in the body especially the male and female genital organs.
The aim: This study was to show the effect of Trichomonas vaginalis in Vivo infection on the genital tissue of mice
through histological section examinations

This Study was conducted to estimate the level of some antioxidant , including (Vitamin c, Glutathion (GSH), albumin,
and Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity). Also to determine Peroxynitrite radical (one of the reactive oxygen species
ROS) and total protein in (88) infected women with Toxoplasmosis (Whose – anti – Toxoplasma gondii antibodies
were Positive), in addition to (31) women, (whose anti- Toxoplasma gondii antibodies were negative as control group ).
The results showed that , serum vitaminC and glutathione levels were significantly lower ( P< 0.05) in toxoplasmosis
women than control group, however there was a significant increase (P< 0.05) in serum total protein and peroxynitrite
radical in toxoplasmosis women, compared with control group . The study showed a significant reduction ( P< 0.05) in
albumin / globulin ratio in toxoplasmosis woman, while there were no changes in serum albumin and superoxide
dismutase (SOD) activity in these infected women when compared with control group .
This study concluded that , infection with Toxoplasma play a role in oxidative stress induction and reduced the
antioxidant – defens system

During a 3-years period ( from October 2005 to October 2008) we saw 65 boys from 80 (NPT) on either or both sides.
All were examined by the referring physician, underwent (US) examination, and were then re-examined afterwards by
urologist. Finally, all boys were surgically explored for testicular position and treatment.
Ultrasonography located 64 NPT (80%), 20 (25%) within the abdomen and 44 (55%) in the inguinal canal.
we found 90% sensitivity of US for inguinal testes and 66% sensitivity for abdominal testes. When US located a testis
it was also found at that site during surgery in 96% of NPT (PPV 95.6%). In our study, only two viable testes were not
located correctly, being in the inguinal canal at US and within the abdomen at surgery. This can be explained by the fact
that there was a patent internal inguinal ring with a mobile testis.
Ultrasonography is useful to determine localization of( NPT), which facilitates planning the surgical procedure. An
inguinal exploration is called for when US identifies the testis in the inguinal canal. Because the sensitivity of US for
viable abdominal testes is only 66%, we recommend to perform laparoscopic exploration when US is negative.

A descriptive, microbiological and ultrasonic study was done on 100 patients with urinary tract infection under age of
10 years attending pediatric Department of Tikrit Teaching Hospital during the period from 1st of February to the last of
October 2007. The patients were divided into two groups (50 patients for each), the first group were with first attack of
urinary tract infection and the second group were with recurrent urinary tract infection. Most of the patients in the first
group (60%) were between the ages of 5-10 years, and most of them were males (58%)and they were from the urban
areas (64%), while those with recurrent infections were at the ages range between 1-5 years (88%) , most of them were
females (86%) and they were also from the urban areas (88%). The commonest presentation of patients with the first
attack urinary tract infection was urgency (44%) while those in the second group present with failure to gain weight
(98%). E.coli was the most commonly isolated microorganism in both groups with regard to age as well as for sex of
patients ( 56% and 66% respectively). Cystitis was the commonest ultrasonic picture in patients with first attack of
urinary tract infection (58%)while bladder wall thickening was the commonest picture in the recurrent attack group
(66%)

This study was designed to diagnose Johne's disease infection in serum of cattle. Ninghty two blood samples were taken
from cattle of Ninevah province and tested for detection of antibodies against Johne's disease. Indirect ELISA Kit for
Mycobacterium avium subspp. Paratuberclosis used to examined animals serum samples, Clinically cattle show
emaciation, decrease in milk production and some cases of persistence diarrhea. ELISA test show that 1.08 % of serum
samples were positive and all the seropositive animals were more than 2 years aged. In conclusion the cattle were
infected by Johne's disease and animals above 2 years were more susceptible to infection

Number of new saturated poly esters were prepared as derivatives of poly (vinyl acrylate). This polymer was prepared
form reaction of poly (vinylalcohol) with acryloyl chloride by condensation method.
The synthesized poly (Vinyl acrylate) were allowed to copolymerized with six vinylic monomers including methyl
acrylate, methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile, acrylamide, maleic anhydride and P-toluidine maleimide respectively, and
cross–linked via homo polymerization and with cross linking agent.
The prepared polymer were react with electrophilic reagents as bromine in (CCL4) and bromine water. Structures
conformation of all polymers and copolymers were identified by using F.T.IR spectra-scopy and some of them were
proved by using H-NMR in addition to elemental analysis.

The electrolytic conductance of ChloropentaammineCobalt(ІІІ)chloride Complex [Co(NH3)5Cl]Cl2 Complex in a
different percentages of Water (1) + Methanol (2) Mixtures at (288.15,293.15,298.15 and 303.15) K are reported . The
limiting equivalent conductance λο ,association constant KA and distance of closest approach of ions (R) are evaluated
by means of
Lee –Wheaton equation .
The association constants obtained at different temperatures were used in determining the thermodynamic quantities of
the association reaction of [MX] 2+ ions and Clions (where [MX] is the coordination complex ) and the results are
discussed on solvent effect on the conductivity parameters of this complex

This research included a study the effect of some ascorbic acid derivatives on Acetyl Choline esterase (AChE) activities
in different cancer patients activitities . Blood samples have been taken from patients of different types of cancer
(Breast cancer, Lung cancer, Leukemia, Prostate cancer ).The results revealed that the derivatives have an inhibition
effect on the activity of Acetyl choline esterase activity .

Penicillium, Aspergillus, Rhizopus, Altrnaria, and Helminthosporium, were genera of fungi that isolated and identified
from local black Barley Hordeum vulgare were obtained from local market of Erbil city. The percentage of infection
were 14 ,16 ,8 ,9 ,and 20 % respectively ,the fungus Helminthosporium sp showed highest infection so it was chosen to
control it by plant extracts. Flower part of Pick tooth plant Ammi visinaga and root part of plant Rhubarb Rheum ribes
two plants which have been used for this study. The chemical compounds that isolated from both plants were phenolic
compounds, alkaloids, and tannins. Anti-fungal activity of plant extracts was tested at concentrations 0.01 and 0.04
g/100ml of medium against pathogenic fungus. The results showed that phenolic compounds and alkaloids at 0.01 and
0.04 g/dl of the medium for both plants, exhibited maximum inhibition of mycelium growth, and significantly decreased
the dry and fresh weight of culture and spores germination compare with control treatment, while the tannins appeared
less activity against mycelium (dry and fresh weight) and also spores germination when compared with other
substances

Two independent irradiation techniques (as unconventional heating)were used to enhance the yield of 7- hydroxy – 4-
methyl coumarin( Hymecromone) : microwave and ir lamp irradiations, together with conventional method.
Highest yield (95%) was obtained with shorter reaction time(4 minutes ) using catalytic amount of sulfuric acid and
magnesium sulfate (as conductive support) by the microwave irradiation, while the ir lamp irradiations gave low
yield(50%)with long reaction time (8hours).

The present work deals with the adsorption of some heavy metal ions such as Cr (II) and Mn (II) on some commercial
adsorbents namely commercial activated carbon ( CAC ) and commercial silica jell ( CSJ ) .The effect of contact time
and pH were investigated. The study disclosed that the adsorption capacity was increased with time until the
equilibrium was reached, and the pH value =2 was the higher adsorption capacity. The adsorption of metal ions
adsorption on the commercial adsorbents ( CAs ) and was found to follow a pseudo first order kinetics.Also,the
thermodynamic functions such as ∆G, ∆H and ∆S were determined. The adsorption of metal ions on the studied
adsorbent was found to be spontaneous due to the negative values of ∆G. The adsorption results of heavy metal ions
were analyzed to Langmuire model of adsorption and was found fit to it, as well as the adsorption isotherm of heavy
metal ions on the studied adsorbents were determined

Two series of Chalcones (3a-j) and Imines (4a-j) have been synthesized in high yield via simple and convenient solventfree process from the same starting material p-amino acetophenone with different substituted benzaldehydes(2a-j) by
using the catalysts sodium hydroxide and acetic acid respectively. The structure of the synthesized compounds were
elucidated spectroscopically using FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and 13C-Dept -135 spectra.

Abstract
The cross sections of 22Na(n,α)19F reaction were measured through the 19F(α,n)22Na cross sections available in the
literature using the principle of detailed balance in the energy range of α-particles (0.9 -6.65) MeV. This work covers
for the first time a wide energy range, and a considerable correspondence observed within the resonances of both direct
and inverse reactions

The operational matrices of the Haar wavelets method is applied for finding numerical solution of non-linear Murray
equation, we compared this numerical result with the exact solution for non-linear Murray equation. the accuracy of the
obtained solutions is quite high even if the number of calculation points is small, by increasing the number of
collocation points the error of the solution rapidly decreases as shown by solving an example.

In the present paper, we deal with the linear infinite dimensional systems in a Hilbert space, where the dynamics of the
system is governed by strongly continuous semi-group. Then, we examine the concept of regional gradient observability
in connection with the structures of sensors on time finite horizon. Thus, the aim of this paper is to extend these results
to the case of infinite time horizon. We explore the concept of regional gradient detectability in connection with the
strategic gradient sensors. Furthermore, we consider two dimensional systems and the specific results related to some
applications of sensors structures and G-observer

this technique (least significant techniques (LSB)) to implement encoding secret data in images JPG kind by using
MATLAP version 7. The paper will close by looking at how we can use Steganography in an open-systems
environment such as the Internet, as well as some of the tools and resources available to help us accomplish this

The aim of this research is to build a ciphering technique by using artificial neural network to protect data against
unauthorized access to the data being transferred.
The encryption data includes three stages: first Stage :- Training a network by using backpropagation to obtain weights.
Second Stage:- Encryption data by using the weights obtained from first stage and consider the weights of first layer as
a public key. third Stage:- Decryption data by using the weights obtained from the first stage and consider the weights
of second layer as a private key. The three stages are attained 100% success for data encryption process and data getting
back process.
This technique is similar to coding asymmetric, and have the ability of coding a group of data such as:- text, characters,
numbers and waves. This work is executed by computer type P4 with whole equipments and Matlab language version 7.

In this paper, we conclude the stability conditions of Lorenz differential system at it is critical points by depending on
the parameters where this system has three critical points:
O(0,0,0), A( (r 1) ,  (r 1) , r 1 ) ,
B(  (r 1) ,   (r 1) , r 1 )
. We study the stability at these critical points. It is concluded that the value of
parameter r determines the stability solution of Lorenz system and the critical points.
The results are compared with Routh-Hurwitz criterion.

Mobile commerce (m-commerce) is providing commercial services that are accessible by using mobile devices,
typically a mobile phone. The main advantages of such services are their high availability, independence of physical
location and time. Yet the move to create a wireless version of internet means a new set of problems. As with the
existing fixed internet, the biggest problem is security. Despite the fact that operators are announcing or rolling out
Wireless Applications Protocols (WAP), I-mode and java-based information, the platforms have gaping security holes.
This research aims to present some suggestions to improve m-commerce security and limit the m-commerce
drawbacks. These suggestions related to the following functional: End-to-End Transport Layer Security by Java 2
micro edition/ mobile information device profile (J2ME/MIDP). Using J2ME/MIDP to mobile communication
overcome the security challenges faced with WAP technology, but securing the XML messages transferred between the
mobile phone and the server would give high level of integrity for the data itself not for the physical connection.

The current study succeded to induce cultures of callus out of explants Apium graveolens L. from
roots, hypocotyles and leaves in asolid MS medium. This medium is reinforced by adifferent
concentrations of auxins and cytoaukynines. The percentage of callus induction reached to (100)% in
roots, hypocotyles and leaves by using MS medium. This combination contains of kin (2.0,1.0,3.0)
mg/L and 2,4-D(1.0, 0.5, 0.5) mg/L respectively . Regeneration of shoots from the callus was obtained,
specially from callus of roots which gave the higher percentage then come the callus of hypocotyles
and leaves . Also the result show the one step regeneration for all types of callus . the best medium with
(3.0)mg/L kin and(1.0)mg/L 2,4-D , while the best medium to differentiate of hypocotyles and leaves
explants is MS medium with (0.6) mg/L kin +(0.5) mg/L 2,4-D.
Apium graveolens L. shoots that have been watched in callus culture was customized in greenhouses.
After rooting in MS medium containing (1.0)mg/L NAA,The plants proved to be highly successful
when they are cultured in the soil.

The result should that the value of Sodium Anions, Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) and EC. Are
decreased at the end of wadi-Al-Naft chaals as they compared with the beginning of this chanal there
for significant differences are appeared in the feature of the (fresh weight of stem, leaf and roots) for
the plants of hybrid 3003 variety. Also significant differences in the characteristics (stem length, dry
weight, leaf length, leaf area, number of root broaching and dry weight of root) in the plants of
Buhooth 106 and hybrid 3003, are appeared.
The two varieties differed in correlation between the growth characteristics that the (leaf length, dry
weight of stem, were the most characteristics correlated significantly with other studied characteristics.
While leaf with numbers of leaves don't correlate significantly with other characteristics

This study were done on broilers ( No. = 60 ) 1day old , divided in to 4 groups:-

st & 2nd group were drenched with oily extract of Thymus vulgaris and Zingiber officinalis (dosage:
1000 mg/kg B.W) from both extract respectively using gavage needle for14 time each 48 hours and
then this tow groups were vaccinated with Newcastle disease vaccine at 7 day of age orally, 3 rd group
(control positive) were vaccinated only with Newcastle disease vaccine, while the 4th group considered
as the (negative control ) (non treated) . the HI & ELISA tests are used for the titration of antibodies.
the experiment continued for 28 days.
The result showed significant increase in the antibodies titer of 2nd group in comparison with 3rd group.
While there is no significant change of the antibodies titer between 1st & 3rd group. This result ensured
that the effect of Zingiber Officinalis in the stimulating of immune system in comparison with Thymus
Vulgaris. both extract in the 1st & 2nd group showed significant increasing of the body weight in
comparison with 3rd group & the increasing of the body weight in the 2nd group is significantly higher
than the 1st group

The present study was designed included to investigate the effect of cadmium on some blood
components and biochemical parameters in blood serum for male albino mice Mus musculus, Mice
were divided into three groups (10mice/group). The first was giver a distilled water (as a drinking
water) and used as a control, second group was given a drinking water containing the concentration of
(50) mg cadmium/L and the third group was given a drinking water containing the concentration of
(150) mg cadmium/L. All groups were treated daily for a period of (30) days. The results revealed a
decrease in the haemoglobim concentration of blood, packed cell volume and total erythrocyte count in
the blood of treated mice with those concentrations compared with control. The reduction in the above
mentioned parameters was progressive with the time of treatment and it was more prominent in animals
treated with (150) mg cadmium/L. The results also showed a significant in the total protein
concentration in blood serum of mice treatment with those concentration compared with control group,
Cadmium also caused a significant increase in total uric acid, cholesterol concentration and the
enzyme activity of transaminases (Alanine aminotransferase "ALT" and Aspartate aminotransferase
"AST") in blood serum as compared with control group and the results showed that reduction and
highest were more prominent in mice treatment with (150) mg cadmium/L of drinking water

The study comprised the collection of 114 swabs from the nose and throat of suspected hypersensitive
patients . Skin test were performed on the patients at Hypersensitivity Center in the Zahrawi Teaching
Hospital .
The results showed (98.3%) positive skin test for all types of allergens , the highest of which was HDM
(32.5%) and to lesser extend T2 (1.7%) .
The results of bacterial isolation showed (78%) for Gr +ve bacteria and (60.6) for Gr –ve . In the throat
the genus Streptococcus was the highest isolate (33.4%) , and the genus Micrococcus was the least (1.8
%) for Gr+ve bacteria , while for the Gr –ve Neisseria was the highest isolate (32.5%) and Moraxella
was the least (3.5%).
The isolates from the nose showed that Staphylococcus was the highest(27%) and Micrococcus was
the least (2.6%) for the gr +ve and Neisseria was the highest (23.7%) and Klebseilla was the least
(1.8%) for the Gr _ve bacteria , a definite correlation was formed between allergens and bacterial
genera

The study include field survey about some emission resources of gaseous pollutants in Mosul city, Iraq.
These resources were represented by private commercial gas oil electric generators, vehicles and some
domestic service machines as dumpers, for given a simplified scope about some air pollution resources.
This survey is playing an important role in planning for atmospheric pollution control, as well futurity
planning for civil development of enlarged cities. The emitted pollutants of electrical generators to the
city atmosphere (NOx, SOx, CO)gases, hydrocarbons (HC) and partical matter (PM) were monthly
estimated, also (COx and H2S) gases of old (less than 1990 models) and new automobiles were
measured.
The study was reveals that yearly amount of gaseous pollutants emitted from commercial electric
generators more than 5000 ton ,and the concentration of those pollutants were significantly more
emitted from old vehicles than new models. In general, these pollutants were caused photochemical
reactions in the atmosphere , and produce secondary pollutants .

This study deals with the effects of four concentration (0.25 , 0.5 , 1 , 2.5%) of aqueous extracts of
pomegranate punica granatum leaves on the histological structure of the midgut and ovaries of the
house fly (Musca domestica).
Results showed a serious effect on the midgut of the larva, the circular muscle deattached from
epithelial layer , also cells of epithelial layer have undergone a great and clear disintegrate in many
places.
The extract also have significant and clear inhibition on the growth of the ovarian follicles especially at
the concentration 0.5 and 1% we found evidence of nosepration of the follicles from the
germariumzone and their is no formation of yolk is seen specially at 96 hour after emergency .
Deformation in emerged adults were depicted , unability was seen on the larval stage

The effect of Ultra violet (UV) different concentration of carbon and nitrogen sources, yeast extract and pH values on
the ability of extracellular polysaccharide production in Bacillus subtilis were studied. The higher value of
polysaccharide production is 5.15 g/l after 7 days from incubation when the bacteria were exposed to UV for 60min.
Different carbon and nitrogen sources were added to the media. higher production of polysaccharide were found after
adding sucrose and sodium nitrate to the media (5.63 , 5.10 g/L),
respectively. Also, adding lactose and sodium nitrate showed decreasing in polysaccharide production (1.70 and 1.99
g/l), respectively. Supplementing the media with yeast extract at 2 g/l revealed increasing in polysaccharide production
(5.41 g/l). Also, adjusting the pH value of the media to (5.5) showed increasing in polysaccharide productio

Genera Clostridium and Bacillus .
This study shows the capable of bacteria to reduce uranium salts concentration by reducing the levels
of iron in the soil to get the required energy for growth uranium molecules decay and use this decay
energy for there inner electron transfer, and this kind of metabolism is the faster way to reduce uranium
molecules from the soil and water.
The study focused on soil taking from an open aria at Addaya to the west of Mosul city and the
remedies way to reduce of poisons levels in it, and it was founded that the rate of bacterial cells

Fifteen isolates received as Rhodococcus spp. marker as pure culture from nose, ear, throat & sputum
of patients infected with pneumonia depending on clinical symptoms observed by specialist physicians
, and also from soil.
Classification was based upon the morphological, biochemical, ecological, environmental and
sensitivity to selected antibiotics characteristics using conventional numerical taxonomy, cluster
analysis and average linkage method. The similarity level between strains were determined and
compared using simple matching coefficient Ssm.
The results indicated that (34) isolates are belongs to species Rh. equi and were differentiated into
three main clusters within the hierachical dendrogram. The cluster A and B include 15 strains for each
of them & the remaining four strain divided into clusler C due to difference in sensitivity to selective
antibiotics

Sinjar, Tal-Afer rigeon and Mosul city, 75samples for each rigeon.
The present study was under taken during October 2007 to April 2008, children's age were about7-
12years in this study, each under finger nail sample was examined using floatation method in Zinc
sulphate solution. Results revealed the presence of the following protozoan cysts parasites : Entamoeba
coli, Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica, also the eggs of the following intestinal helminthes:
Enterobius vermicularis, Trichuris trichura and Hymenolpis nana, also results showed the highest
proportion of infection appeared in 9 years old children who lived in Sinjar and Tal-Afer region in the
same age, also results showed that male was more affective than female9.75%and 5.73% respectively

he seed percentage and period of germination as well as the length of the plant itself, in addition to the
number of the plants leaves for the three hybrids of sunflower plants. The Iraqi type “Araqi flower”,
the French type “Euroflor”, the Turkish type “Flamme”. These types have been planted in big plastic
flower-pots ,as four replication for each type . Then they have been irrigated by polluted water of oil
deposal from Beji strainer. Another flower-pot has been irrigated by the normal water which is
considered a control of group by comparison. Results have shown that plants which are irrigated by
polluted water have been negatively affected in the growth qualities if they are compared with the
(control- group). It has been also shown that the “Euroflor” is more affected than the other two types.
Mean while “Iraq- flower” is the less affected type by the mentioned polluters.

Enterobius vermicularis, Trichuris trichura and Hymenolpis nana, also results showed the highest
proportion of infection appeared in 9 years old children who lived in Sinjar and Tal-Afer region in the
same age, also results showed that male was more affective than female9.75%and 5.73% respectively

The study of elm tree seeds' safety revealed the existence of seven bron fungi species : Alternaria ,
Aspergillus , Cladosporium , Fusarium, Rhizoctonia , Stemphylim and Candida , with Alternaria
species having the highest frequency.
The effect of aquatic and alcoholic extraction of eucalyptus plants Eukalyptus camaldulensis and
peppermint Mentha piperita was studied , the inhibitory effect rate of the aquatic was between 20-38 %
for coriander plants , 16.6-25.0 % for peppermint and 37.5-50 % for eucalyptus , in association with
Fusarium solani , Aspergillus niger and Alternaria alternata fungi. The alcoholic extracts of coriander,
peppermint and eucalyptus plant had a stronger inhibitory effect than of the aquatic extracts. The
inhibitory effect rate of alcoholic extracts was 91.6 % for coriander plants associated with A. alternata
and F. solani fungi, 81.2 % for peppermint associated with A. niger fungus and 91.6 % for F. solani
fungus, while the inhibitory effect rate of eucalyptus leaves' alcoholic extracts was 77.5 % with A.
niger fungus and 91.6 % for A. alternata fungus. The alcoholic extracts of eucalyptus leaves inhibitory
the growth of A. alternata fungus by 91.6 %, followed by F. solani with a rate of 83.3 % and A. niger
with a rate of 77.5 % the inhibitory effect of the alcoholic extracts varied according to the variance of
the fungi. The inhibitory effects of coriander plant and peppermint had a distinct influence on F. solani
with a rate of 91.6% and 86.6%,respectively, respectively,while the alcoholic extract of eucalyptus had
a stronger inhibitory effect on A. alternata fungus 91.6% , followed by F. solani 83.3 % and A. niger
77.5 %.
The testing of some active materials in plants using chemical detection methods showed that
coriander plant seeds (Coriandrum sativum ) contained alkaloids, flavones, resins and phenols, but no
glycosids ,tannins and saponins .As for the leaves of peppermint(Mentha piperita) and leaves of
eukalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis),the results showed that they contained all the active compouned
detected earlier

A field Experiment was Conducted on Fenugreek Crop in University of Tikrit Agricultural Farms, in a
factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with Two factors. The first was Inoculation with
rhizobium bacterial [with and without inoculation ]and the second was addition of Cobalt [0,2 mg / l
sprayed on the Plants 2 mg\\l added with irrigated water ,2+2 mixed spray and irrigate]The Important
results obtained in this study were summarized below:-
1-Inoculated plants which received 2+2 mg\\L of mixed Cobalt consist on a highest concentration of
macro and micro elements compared with lowest concentration of these elements in a control plant .
2-Inoculated plants with 2+2 mg\\L of mixed cobalt gave a highest significant values in all vegetative
characteristics [plant high, number of leaves- number of branch- %vegetative dw, %root dw ,leaf area,
number and weight of total and active nodules]Compared with a control plants which gave the lowest
values in all of these characteristics .
3-Inoculated plants with 2+2 mg\\L of mixed cobalt gave a long pod-long number of pod \\plant- long
number of seed\\ pod- long 100 seed weight- long dry mater in the seeds and yield compared with
lowest values in a control plants.
4-Inoculated plants with2+2 mg\\l of mixed cobalt gave a highest significant ant values in gelatinous
substances [30.8 gm\\100 gm seed] a highest oils[9.3 gm seeds]- a highest VB12[in the leaves 0.285
mg\\kg-0.321 mg\\kg in the root and 0.480 mg\\kg in the nodules]Compared with 20.3 gm\\100gm seeds
of gelatinous substances – 7.1gm\\100gm seeds of oils- o.o8 mg\\kg of VB12 in the leaves- 0.087 mg\\kg
VB12in th roots- 0.165 mg\\kg VB12 in the nodules in the control plants.

This study was carried out by using male albino rats , the animals were divided into five groups
,different levels of vitamin C were added to four groups, while the first group with out any additional
ratio (control diet ),the levels of vitamin C were (100,250,500,1000) mg\ kg diet respectively, after
feeding of the various vitamin C levels for four weeks the animal were killed .
No significant differences in final body weight between the control group and (100,250) mg group
while the increase were significant (P≤0.01) among the control group and the others ,there were
significant differences (P≤0.01) in the rate of body weight gain among control group and the others, the
results show no significant difference in feed intake and feed conversion between the control group and
(100) mg group , while the increase were significant(P≤0.01) in others.
No significant differences (P≤0.01) in serum cholesterol between control group and (100)mg group,
while the decrease was significant among control group and the others, there were significant decrease
(P≤0.01) in low density lipoprotein +very low density lipoprotein (LDL+ vLDL) among control group
and (100,250,500,1000) mg\kg diet groups, but not in high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL).
The study pointed out presence significant increase(P≤0.01) in liver weight and lipids among control
group and other groups, and significant decrease (P≤0.01) in liver cholesterol among control group and
the others.
There were significant increase (P≤0.01) in heart weight among control group and other groups, there
were no significant difference in heart lipids between control group and (250) mg group, while the
increase were significant(P≤0.01) with others, there were significant decrease (P≤0.01) in heart
cholesterol among control group and others .

The present study include the anatomical features and histological structure of eye in the Iraqi Pin –
tailed Sandgrouse bird Pterocles alchata caudarus. Ten birds eye were dissected and the results
obtained were as follow:-
The cornea of the eye composed of stratified squamous epithelium which settled on undulating
Bowman's membrane . Alternative to the membrane was corneal stroma which composed of dermal
and scleral regions. Beneth the stroma was Descement membrane which lining with single layer of
endothelium. The specific results was the presence of pigment cells at the inferior border of the stroma
at the base of the peripheral portion of the cornea . The scleral structure include cartilage and
collagenous fibers.
The choroids appeared as a high vascular layer which comprised blood capillaries and more larger
vessels. All the vessels surrounded by arings of pigmented cells. The seldom structures in the birds
which appeared in the choroid of Pin – tailed Sandgrouse were the lymphatic vessels and tapetum
lucidum. On the other hand the Bruch's membrane, which separate the choroids and the retina,
appeared folded. The folds of ciliary body was structurally distinct as two triangulars near the retina
and at the base of iris . Two epithelial layers covered the fold surfaces, which were an inner pigmented
and outer cleared one.
The iris appeared convex anteriorly toward the cornea and appeared thin at the base, as well as, at free
end. The anterior surface of the iris covered by pigmented epithelial cells.
The lens appeared biconvex , smooth and translucent. There were two incisions at it's surface and had
no annular pad.
The retina of Pin – tailed Sandgrouse appeared duplex, and a vascular with one central fovea superior
to the optic nerve. One area centrales also appeared as a strand upper to the fovea. The dorsal retina
thickness more than that of ventral one. The pigment epithelium of the retina were columnar cells layer
with central nuclei and folded basement membrane. The retina consist of one type of rods , three types
of single cones and double cone. The cones density more than rods. On the other hand, Oil droplets
appeared in the apex of ellipsoid in all cones types the other layers of the retina resembles that of other
vertebrates except the thickness in the dorsal region more than the ventral region.
The pectin oculi appeared as a sphenoid structure originated from the optic disc region as a transverse
bridge . About twenty fold extended from the bridge which appeared as accordion system . The apex of
the folds free without bridge. Histologicaly the pecten oculi composed of a dens network of capillaries
with pericytes, blood vessels large and small and pigmented intervascular tissue. The pecten oculi
protrude in the vitreous humour but not reach the lens.

This study has taken change occurred in some biochemical characteristics and their relation with the
blood components which take place to women infected with polycystic ovary syndrome which was
considered as gynecology that effect apparently the infected ones and same side effects could
accompany this kind of chronic disease like Hypertention, Dialbetes, Dislipdimia in the body and
sometime Cardias –arteries.
This study has been carrird out (189)blood sample of these infected women who has polycystic ovary
syndrome .After diagnosis of their cases has been known from the clinical and laboratorial test ,they
also undergo the Uiter Sound pictures. These women aged (17-45)years. They sexual hormones
concentrations have been measured (LH, FSH, PROL, Testos) .They level of the lipid component
concentrations in the blood plasma of these infected women was also measured .As well as the
measurment of the blood sugar ,performed there is also field study to each patient by asking her some
questions including :Age,arriage, Discipline of menstrual cycle ,the relationship between the menstrual
cycle and nursery , weight ,height ,and chronic disease ,the druge used and operations in the ovary .The
results of the research have shown significant rise of the (LH, FSH, PROL, Teston )compared with
controlling group with significant levels of 0.001)which shown that the highest concentrations of
prolactin (20.61+9.73) < p )ng/ml within these suffering patients of the Hypertention and Diabentes
,and the lowest concentrations was (9.55+0.51) ng/ml. This shows that the highest lowe of the
LH(19.96+3.30)MLU/ml .within the patients who suffer from Hypertention and Diabetes. and the
lowest one of (6.61+1.12)MIU/ml ,Asfor the FSH the highest level was (2.83+1.2)MIU/ml .Whilst the
highest concentrations of Testos. (1.33+0.13) ng/ml within these suffering patients who suffered from
Hypertention and the lowest one was (0.33+0.02)ng/ml. The results in lipid level in (p 0.001) where the
highest concentrations of Cholesterol (7.19+4.1) mmol /L of the Hypertention and Diabetes .Patients
while the lowest one was (4.01+1.99)mmol/L of the some Patients ,while the highest concentrations of
Tighlyceride (mmol/L ,and the lowest one was (1.1+0.01) mmol/ L. As for the concentrations of HDL,
the highest one was (0.71+0.27) mmol/ L, and the lowest one was (0.32+0.022) mmol/L of the
Hypertentionand patients. For the one VLDL, LDL, the highest conentrations was successigely
(0.44+0.18), (5.67+2.69) mmol /L and the lowest one was (0.24+0.14), (2.11+1.87) mmol / L. The
results of the late study have referred to f pregnancies occurrence in patient when they have taken the
Metformin druge in an arranged way ,the concentrations of prolactin has been lowered when they take
Parlodel druge .The average obesity has been lowered too as well as Hirsutismin the chin and most
achareras .It was also found that the P.C.O. cases have been risen within the married women rather than
the un married .This study also showes the increase of the amenorrhea for several months of the
patients of this disease ,through the field study ,it was shown that more than one patients of P.C.O.S
were found in the same family .

An accurate, sensitve, selective and reproducible method for quantification of Doxycycline
hyclate(doxy) in pharmaceutical preparation has been developed. This method is based on construction
of selective liquid membrane electrodes using phosphomolybdic acid (PMA) as an active material and
either tir-n-butylphosphate (TBP) or di-n-butylphthalate (DBPh) as a plasticizer and and PVC as matrix
for all electrodes.
The results showed that the linear concentration is 10-4
–10-1 M for both electrodes, correlation
coefficient, slope, limit of detection, optimum pH range and the life time were (0.9681and0.9595),
(32.2and36.1 mV/decade), ( 1.0 ×10-6 and 8.0 ×10-7 M ), (1.5 - 1.8 and 1.5) and (14 and 11 days) for
DOXY-PM+TBP and DOXY-PM+DBPh electrodes respectively .
This method was successfully applied for the determination of (DOXY) in DOXYSAM Capsules with
percentage recovery of not less than 97 %

The study included preparing a cold aqueous extract of Mushroom fruit Gel filtration technique were
used for the isolation of proteinous precipitate in to compounds and the determination of their
molecular weight approximately. Also were studied the effect of cold crud aqueous extract , non
proteious extract ,proteinous precipitate, and their compounds Aand B which were isolated from it on
haveing hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, and anti-oxidant properties for alloxan –induced diabetic
mice.two compounds (A and B) were isolated from the proteinous precipitate using gel filtration
technique and their approximate molecular weight were for A(193152) and for B were (2266) Dalton
respectively..
The results were indicated After one week of treatment intraperitoneally of diabetic mice with the cold
crud aqueous, non proteinous extracts, proteinous precipitate and protenious compounds (A)and (B)
asignificant decrease in the level of blood serum glucose, of malondialdehyde in liver and kidneys
tissues, whereas significant increase in the level of high density lipoproteins – cholesterol in blood
serum and the level of glutathione of liver and kidneys tissues of alloxan – induced diabetic male mice.
From these results conclude that some extracts of Mushroom fruits have anti-diabetic and antioxidant
effect in alloxan- induced diabetic mice

This study was included to prepare a basic extract contain basic amino acids fraction(baaf) of Lens Culinaris seeds by
using ion exchange chromatography from non proteinaceous supernatant , concentration of basic amino acids was
determined in isolated basic extract that analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography technique, the project
contained the effect of basic extract in levels of glucose, total lipids(T.L), total cholesterol(T.C), triglyceride(T.G), high
and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),(VLDL-C) in blood serum also glutathione(GSH) and
malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in liver, kidney, and heart tissues in normal and alloxane diabetic mice
After(16) days from treatment with (125)mg/kg body weight (baaf), the results indicated to significant
decrease(p<0.05)in glucose , T.Cho, T.G, VLDL-C in blood serum and MDA in liver and heart tissues ,in which it lead
to significant increase(p<0.05) in HDL-C level in serum , and glutathione level in liver and kidney alloxane diabetic
mice . With a significant decreased(p<0.05)in T.C, T.G, HDL-C and VLDL-C levels in blood serum and GSH in
kidney , MDA levels in liver, kidney and heart in tissues, while basic extraction brought about significant
increase(p<0.05) in glutathione in liver, heart levels in normal mice. Finally; we propose that the basic fraction may be
contribute in treatment patients with diabetes

In this research study the effect of doping by Ni on optical properties of CdS thin films of (1)µm
thickness has been prepared by heat evaporation method .optical properties were include recording of
absorbance spectra for prepared films in the range of (400-1000) nm wave lengths, the absorption
coefficient and the energy gap were calculated before and after doping, finally the doping affected

In this work, the effect of 514nm argon laser radiation on the alpha particles tracks diameters, tracks
growth velocity and the tracks appearing time in LR-115 nuclear track detector has been studied.
Increasing the exposure time of laser radiation found to improve the above mentioned parameters up
to7min of exposure time, then it decreasing gradually with exposure time and become near data of
standard sample of detector at 15 min

The Meteorological Baji Station Lays in north of Iraq in Baji town that has followed to Salah Aldin
Governorate at Longitude and Latitude ( 43º 32´ and 34º 54´ ) consequently , on elevation (115)
m.a.s.l . After we had made the statistical analysis on the data record of maximum daily rainfall of Baji
Station to period (1981- 2008) , It was showing where the values lays between ( 10.7 – 112.1 )mm and
in average (34.27)mm and the probability of the frequency for maximum daily rainfall (112.1)mm is
(27) years while the lowest value has return period in each year . The correlation coefficient (R2
)
between the values of maximum daily rainfall and their return periods was high and to reach (0.954) .
Finally the climate of the region that represented by the records of the station , Its in Dry cycle and
influenced by the regional climatic changes

In this paper a statistical test has been used for the meteorological elements that may affect the
magnetic field of the earth. These elements include temperature, rain, sunrise, quantity of clouds, and
finally the atmospheric pressure.
Correlation coefficient has been evaluated between the earth's magnetic field and the above mentioned
climatic elements by using the records for the year 2002 for Baghdad-Iraq and the magnetic
observation records of Baghdad's as well. The paper reaches that the meteorological elements have a
little or negligible affect on the magnetic field of Baghdad since there is no disturbance or magnetic
storms

Silicon doped -Indium detector has been constructed in this research (n -type) single crystal with (111)
direction using laser diffusion impurity. The results showed that the diode (detector) was junction
abrupt have spectral response was about (0.4A/W) at wave length (0.85µm) and rise time around (80

The aim of the project is in develop parallel approaches for Iteration Methods (Jacobi & Gauss-Seidel
Methods) that are used in linear programming to solve linear module systems.
Most of these models are time consuming when executed and processing in the sequential
microprocessor computers. During the project we try to decrease this time and increase the efficiency
of the algorithm for this two Methods, through developing parallel methods appropriate to be executed
on MIMD type computers.
In this paper, three algorithms were suggested for paralleling, two for a developed algorithm of Jacboi
Iteration Method and one for a developed algorithm of Gauss-Seidel Iteration Method and a
comparison was made between the three algorithms and the original.
In general, the practical results and the suggested programs for theses new algorithms proved to be
better in performance than their analogues that are executed in computers of sequential processor in
view of the two elements of execution time and algorithm time

The present study described the form of fuzzy number represented by function in terms of membership
function, namely Symmetric Triangular Membership Function and Asymmetric and how to use this
function in the regression and application by a numerical example and comparison between symmetry
and asymmetry .Two methods were used (Ishibuchi and Nii, 2001) and (Yen et al., 1999) thus fuzzy
coefficients , the least total of coefficients spreads which is represented by objective function and the
linear model could be obtained.

The present research studies the petrographical and chemical composition diversity of basaltic rocks in
ABO-ZOUHOR - JARJANAZ region. The polarizing microscope, spectrofluorometry technique
accompanied to X-ray diffraction were applied. Our data reveal the distribution of two petrographic
kinds of basaltic rocks such as alkaline (olivine and augetic - olivine) basalt – Phenocryst persantage >
5% (for ol. and px.). The rocks show a strict similarity in their chemical composition despite of the
local and petrographic variety. These rocks belong to the sodium -potassic kind of alkaline basaltic
rocks with magnesium percentage varies from 10 to 45 % with Fe-Mg lava development.
