Abstract

We present in this paper using of two evolutionary computations tools for design and training feed-forward neural networks . We use genetic programming algorithm to discover suitable design for neural network that modeled the selected problem . This discover design it have features that make neural network less cost in structure (the smaller network topology) that give desired output for problem . Genetic programming it is a search algorithm that dell with population of tree structures , each of these tree structure it use as suggested design for neural network . The optimization is done throw minimization number of hiding layers and number of neurons in each layer with less connectivity with other neurons . Each new generated neural net send to genetic algorithm for training . Genetic algorithm work as learning algorithm that specify the training set of weights that linked with neural network connection . This work represent global approach that give promising result for some problems .

Proposed Steganography Method to Hide Image Data in Wav File

Abstract

This paper produces a new suggested method for hidden image information in the wav file. The method takes any type of image file format such as (BMP, GIF or TIFF) that contain the image information to be hidden that represented in binary form, then this file hides in the wav file by replacing image information with wav file digits. The replacement is done into separate distance. This method is done with out making noise in sound file. We implement our proposed system using MATLAB ver. 7.

Abstract

Abstract

There are many approaches for motion detection in a real-time video stream. All of them are based on comparing of the current video frame with one from the previous frames or with background.
Another approach is to compare the current frame not with the previous one but with the first frame in the video sequence. So, if there were no objects in the initial frame, comparison of the current frame with the first one will give us the whole moving object independently of its motion speed. But, the approach has a big disadvantage - what will happen, if there was, for example, a person on the first frame, but then he is gone? Yes, we'll always have motion detected on the place, where the person was. Of course, we can renew the initial frame sometimes, but still it will not give us good results in the cases where we can not guarantee that the first frame will contain only static background. But, there can be an inverse situation.
The most efficient algorithms are based on building the so called background of the scene and comparing each current frame with the background. There are many approaches to build the scene, but most of them are too complex. Our approach for building the background is to get the first frame of the video stream as the background frame. And then we'll always compare the current frame with the background one. Our approach is to "move" the background frame to the current frame on the specified amount (we used 1 level per frame). We move the background frame slightly in the direction of the current frame - we are changing colors of pixels in the background frame by one level per frame. To build the background we use the Morph filter, because the implementation of this filter is more efficient, so the filter produce better performance. The idea of the filter is to preserve specified percentage of the source filter and to add missing percentage from overlay image.

Abstract

ان عملية الكشف الحافية هي عملية كشف عدم الاستمرارية او التغير المفاجيء في بعض الخواص البصرية مثل (شدة الاضاءة ,التركيب,او اللون) ومن العمليات والمعالجات المهمة جدا في فهم الصور و تحليلها وقد تستخدم في عملية تمييزالاهداف والاجسام في الصور الرقمية .
تم في هذه الدراسة اقتراح وتطبيق مؤثرات لكشف الحافات في الصور الرقمية بالاعتماد على طريقة المربعات الصغرى لتقريب بيانات الصورة الموضعية الى دالة كاوسية و تم اخذ الصورة الملونة كأحد انواع الصور الرقمية وفي كل صورة تم إيجاد الحافات التي هي عبارة عن تغير في الشدة اللونية بين منطقتين متجانستين ويمكن الكشف عن هذه الحافات من خلال تطبيق شرط العتبة وذلك من خلال اخذ كل صورة ملونة وإجراء عملية التنعيم عليها التي تستخدم لازالة الضوضاء من الصورة بدون أضرار للحافات الحقيقية للصورة وبعدها استخدمنا مؤثرات الكشف الحافي على الصورة الملونة والمتمثلة بمؤثر سوبل وهو مؤثر الكشف الحافي القياسي والمؤثر المقترح الجديد والذي يعتمد على طريقة التربيعات الصغرى الكاوسية وهي إحدى طرق التحليل العددي واستخدمنا صور ملونة ذات تدرج لوني مختلف وتم تطبيق مؤثر سوبل عليها تبين ان الطريقة الجديدة قادرة على كشف الحافات في الصور الرقمية الملونة وبجودة عالية قياسا بالطرق القياسية لكشف الحافة .

Abstract

In the present study 2kg from the Arial parts (shoots, leaves, flowers) of the plant mullein (Verbascum sp.) were collected from Sharbazher province in Sulaimani city, during the summer season ,the specimen was deposited in herbarium of biology dept. Sulaimani university. Each parts of plant were grinded separately, given to the Cyprinus carpio fish in different times and groups with different dose according to concentrations. Low (10gm), moderate (40gm), and high (90gm) concentrations were used. Ecological factors were conceders by the assessment of water temperature, pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity, Total dissolved solids, and dissolved oxygen. Physiological study includes some haematological parameters, and histopathological effects of plant on liver, brain and heart sections. There is a significant difference between some haematological parameters and concentrations.

Abstract

Fat percentage and Water content in muscle tissue of 600 individuals under six commercially important fishes of Carassius auratus, Cyprinus carpio, Barbus esocinus, Barbus grypus, Capoeta damascina, and Silurus triostegus from Derbendikhan Reservoir within Sulaimani governorate, were analyzed,. Total fat content of the muscle in Barbus esocinus was of the highest value (76.27 %) and the lower water content (8.14%) among other studied fish, during summer season. The fat content was inversely related to water content in muscle of studied fish for different seasons. The aim was to evaluate fat percentage and water content in fish muscle tissue then relating them to the seasonal variation in addition to its health benefits to consumers in order to get best fish oils among seasons and among species.

Abstract

Free radical mediated oxidative stress has been implicated in the etio-pathogenesis of several autoimmune disorders. Hypothyroidism in humans is widely believed to impair health. The biochemical factors mediating decline in health, however, are poorly elucidated. Pathological consequences of hypothyroidism point to a high potential for antioxidant imbalance. The study population consisted of 60 subjects divided into two groups: 30 people with hypothyroidism and 30 age-matched healthy participants. This study examined the levels of total triiodothyronine (T3), total thyroxine (T4), thyroid stimulating hormone, (TSH), and some enzymatic antioxidant status. The mean TSH level was significantly higher in hypothyroid patients than in control group.
On the other hand, the levels of T3 and T4 were significantly lower in hypothyroid patients compared to control group. However, the activities of catalase (CAT), and glutathione –S- transfers (GST), and reduced glutathione (GSH) were significantly lower in hypothyroid patients than in healthy group. These results confirm the hypothesis that people with hypothyroidism have reduced anti-oxidative defense.

Abstract

Giardia lamblia is a parasite that causes giardiasis in humans and other mammals. The common treatment includes different classes of drugs, which were described to produce unpleasant side effects. Zingiber officinale (Ginger) is a plant that is frequently used in the popular medicine to treat gastrointestinal symptoms. So, we examined the effects of watery extracts against G. lamblia on the basis of killed trophozoite number, The antigiardial activity of Zingiber officinale were demonstrated using experimental infections of Giardia lamblia in balb/c mice. the extract of Zingiber officinale was more active specially when mixed with honey, so the percentage of dead trophozoite reach to 97.7 %. This study recommend to utilization of the mixture of ginger with honey as antigiardial drugs.

Abstract

A prospective study was conducted on (104) persons: classified as 74 patients with B-thalassemia major.,30 patients as control group (healthy people ) for the period of May 2008 to February 2009.Their age range from (1-30) years who were attending the thalassemic center at Babylon Maternity and children hospital .By using the kit of Anti nuclear antibodies (ANA). They were studied, as the level of ANAtiter had been estimated, and the results analyzed by using the statistical methods. ( 10.8%) show positivity of ANAtiter at level of (55 U/ml or more) for thalassemic patients and (89.2% ) show negative result below (40 U/ml) for those patients ,while all control group were negative. The positive titers where studied according to deferoxamine treatment (Iron chelating drug) where 87.5% for patients receiving deferoxamine , and 12.5% for patients not receiving this drug.Also the positive titers according to the age of thalassemic patients were analyzed, and the results correlated with the age, where most of positive titers for patients older than ten years (represent 75% of positive titers) ,in compare to (12.5%) from the positive titers for patients their age five to ten years and a similar percent (12.5%) for patients under five years. Finally (62.5%) of positive titers for patient who were spleenectomised, whereas (37.5% )for non spleenectomised patient.

Abstract

تم عزل الفطر Microsprum canisمن مريض يعاني من السعفة الحلقية ((Tinea corporis في الذراع وتشخيصه بالاعتماد على الصفات المظهرية المزرعية والمجهرية. أظهرت نتائج دراسة تأثير الظروف البيئة على نمو الفطر بان أفضل نمو كان في وسط سابرويد كلوكوز اكار (SGA) يليه وسط مايكوبايوتك اكار (MBA) ثم وسط اكار البطاطا والكلوكوز (PGA) بدرجة حرارة 25م ولمدة 14 يوم, وكانت درجة الحرارة المثلى لنمو الفطر في 25م , إذ بلغ معدل النمو عندها 35.5 مليمتر في حين كان معدل النمو عند درجة حرارة 20 و30 ْم هو 33 مليمتر و 24.3 مليمتر على التوالي، في حين اصبح النمو ضعيفا جدا في درجة حرارة37 م في وسط سابرويد كلوكوز اكار ولمدة 14 يوم. وقد تناسب معدل نمو الفطر تناسباً طردياً مع مدة الحضانة وقد ازداد معنويا (0.05) طيلة مدة الحضانة ولغاية 14 يوم . إذ بلغ أعلى معدل لنمو الفطر في اليوم الرابع عشر هو 35.5 مليمتر، في حين كان معدل نمو الفطر في الأيام 5،و 7،و10 هو 19 و25 و32.8 ملمتر على التوالي.
تم دراسة تأثير الظروف البيئية على انتاج انزيم البروتيز المحلل للكيراتين وذلك باستعمال اربعة انواع من المواد البروتينية كمصدر وحيد للنتروجين لدراسة قابلية الفطر M. canis على انتاج انزيم البروتيز وهذه المصادر هي الشعر 2.6 غم/ لتر، والببتون 2.6 غم/لتر، ونخالة الحنطة 2.6 غم/لتر، والكازئين 1%. واظهرت نتائج المسح ان الفطر M. canis له القابلية على انتاج انزيم البروتيز باستخدام المصادر النتروجينية الاربعة. أي ان الفطر ينتج انواعاً مختلفة من البروتيز. فكانت الفعالية الانزيمية عند استخدم الببتون كمصدر وحيد للنتروجين في وسط الانتاج هي 124 وحدة/مل في حين كانت الفعالية الانزيمية لكل من وسطي الشعر ونخالة الحنطة هي 20 و48.5 وحدة/مل على التوالي. اما فعالية انزيم باستخدام الكازئين بتركيز 1% فكانت 16 وحدة/مل. تم اختيار شعر الانسان كمصدر لبروتين الكيراتين لتحفيز الفطر على انتاج البروتيز المحلل للكيراتين , اذ استعمل بتراكيز مختلفة واظهرت النتائج بان 5,2غم/لتر من شعر الانسان افضل تركيز لانتاج الانزيم اذ بلغت الفعالية الانزيمية عند هذا التركيز 40 وحدة/مل. في حين كانت الفعالية الانزيمية 3 وحدة/مل عند التركيز 13 غم/لترمن شعر الانسان.ووجد أفضل رقم هيدروجيني لانتاج الانزيم من الفطر M. canis هو 9، اذ بلغت الفعالية الانزيمية عنده 12 وحدة/مل. كما لوحظ ان انتاج الانزيم يكون في اقصاه بين الرقم الهيدروجيني (8-10) مقارنة مع الرقم الهيدروجيني المتعادل الحامضي الذي تكون عنده الفعالية الانزيمية أقل ما يمكن. درس تأثير درجة الحرارة عن إنتاج إنزيم البروتيز المحلل للكيراتين من الفطر M. canis باستعمال مصدر وحيد للنتروجين هو الشعر 5.2 غم/لتر وبرقم هيدروجيني 9 ووجد ان افضل درجة حرارة لانتاج الانزيم هي 35م ، إذ بلغت عندها الفعالية الانزيمية 45 وحدة/ مل، في حين كانت درجة الحرارة 20 م عندها اقل فعالية انزيمية وهي 5 وحدة/مل. ومن دراسة تأثير عامل التهوية والمزج على انتاج البروتيز من الفطر M. canis , وجد ان التهوية غير المستمرة (أي الحضانة لمدة 5 أيام بدون تهوية ومزج وثم الحضانة مع التهوية والمزج لمدة 5 أيام اخرى كانت الأفضل في انتاج انزيم البروتيز مقارنة مع ظروف التهوية المستمرة وعدم التهوية. إذ بلغت الفعالية الانزيمية باستخدام التهوية غير المستمرة 49.5 وحدة/ مل في اليوم 9 من الحضانة في حين كانت الفعالية الانزيمية باستخدام التهوية المستمرة وعدم التهوية هي 9و 44 على التوالي في اليوم التاسع من الحضانة . كذلك اظهرت النتائج ان اليوم 9 من الحضانة هو الافضل في انتاج الانزيم.

Abstract

أجريت هذه الدراسة للتقصي عن الفعالية البايولوجية للمستخلص الكحول الاثيلي وخلات الاثيل لنبات الختمة Hibiscus rosa sinunsis تأثيره على الخصوبة في إناث الفئران السويسرية البيضاءmus musculus من سلالة c\balb)) وبواقع (72) فأر وقسمت الإناث إلى ثلاثة مجاميع وأعطيت الجرعتين( 125-250) ملغم/ كغملكلا المستخلصين وقورنت مع مجموعة السيطرة ولثلاث مدد حقن( 4-8-12) يوميا.بينت النتائج ما يلي:-
وجود زيادة معنوية (p<0.05 )في وزن الجسم الكلي للإناث المعاملة بمستخلص خلات الاثيل والكحول الاثيلي مقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة وجود انخفاض معنوي (P<0.05) في أوزان المبايض وزيادة معنوية في أوزان الأرحام للإناث المعاملة بكلا التركيزين ولكلا المستخلصين مقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة وكان مستخلص خلات الاثيل هو الأكثر فعالية مقارنة مع المستخلص الاخر.
أظهرت الدراسة النسجية حدوث انخفاض معنوي (P<0.05) في أقطار المبايض وأعداد الجريبات الأولية والثانوية وحويصلات كراف وللمستخلصين ولكلا الجرعات المستخدمة مقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة.
بينت نتائج اختبار الخصوبة للإناث تأخر ظهور النطف في المسحة المهبلية وتأخر حدوث الحمل وانخفاضا (P<0.05) واضحا في أعداد الأجنة ولمدة(12) يوم لمستخلص خلات الاثيل والكحول الاثيلي بالمقارنة مع مجموعة السيطرة ومن خلال المتابعة اليومية لمدة (30) يوم.

Abstract

جمعت 50 عينة لويحة سنية (plaque) خلال مدة الدراسة البالغة سنة (2007) والتي تمت في كلية العلوم للبنات قسمت على 25 عينة من الأطفال و25 عينة من البالغين .عزلت118 عزلة بكتيرية من هذه العينات تبين إن العزلات البكتيرية الموجبة لصبغة كرام هي السائدة(88.2%) إذ سجلت النسبة الأكبر لبكتيريا Streptococcus تلتها بكتريا Lactobacillus ثم بكتريا Staphylococcus في حين سجلت البكتيريا السالبة لصبغة كرام نسبة 11.8% موزعة بين بكتريا E.coli و E.aerogenes.
وجد إن هنالك تنوع بكتيري في العينة الواحدة ويشير هذا التنوع إلى تكون الأغشية الرقيقة الحيوية Biofilmعلى الأسنان. كان التنوع البكتيري في عينات البالغين أكثر منه في عينات الأطفال . وضحت النتائج إن بكتريا Streptococcus وLactobacillus (45.1% و 28.3% على التوالي ) هي السائدة في عينات الأطفال وبنسب اكبر من مثيلاتها في البالغين (34.5% و 25,8% على التوالي ). كانت نتائج العد البكتيري الكلي في عينات الأطفال (بمعدل 1.63 ×109 cfu\ml\plaque) أكثر من البالغين ( بمعدل 1.94× 108 cfu\ml\plaque).

Abstract

Dependence on sensitivity and selectivity for imidazole compounds to transition metal elements as cations ,extracted Ni+2 ions from aqueous solutions by solvent extraction method to produce ion pair association complex by use ligand 2-[(4-Chloro-2-methoxy phenyl)azo]-4,5-di phenyl imidazole (4-ClMePADPI).The study demonstrated the optimum conditions for extraction was (pHex=9) ,shaking time was (15-minute) and Ni+2 ions concentration was (70μg)(2.38×10-4M),the organic solvents effect on the extraction shows there is not any linear relation between distribution ratio (D) and dielectric constant (ε)for organic solvents used ,but shows there is an effect for the structure of organic solvent on the extraction ability and stability of ion pair complex extracted ,from other hand the stoichiometric study shows the more probable structure for ion pair complex extracted was (1:1) (metal:ligand) [Ni(4-ClMePADPI)]+2SO4-2. Thermodynamic study illustrated the complexation reaction between Ni+2ion and ligand (4- ClMePADPI ) was exothermic.

Abstract

A series of 7-aryl-2-cinnamyl-8-etoxycarbonyl[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine have been prepared by the reaction of 2-etoxycarbonylcinnamonitriles with 2‾-cinnamoyl-2-cyanoacetohydrazide. An alternative cyclization leading to the formation of piperidinium pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridinides. This compounds were isolated from the reaction mixture as the corresponding piperidinium salts due to the high stability of the heterocyclic anion. Acidification with dilute hy- drochloric acid yielded the neutral 7-aryl-2-cinnamyl-8-etoxycarbonyl[1,2,4] triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine. Depending on the reaction conditions.

طـريقة جديدة لتحضـير الفيروسين ومشتقه نورمل بيوتيل فيروسين

تم تحضير الفيروسين بطريقه جديده ومحوره بعد الاستفاده من الطرق السابقه المنشوره حيث حضر من خلال اضافة FeCl2 الى مونيمر السايكلوبنتادايين في مذيب diethylamine ومزجهما معا مع التحريك لمدة ثماني ساعات لضمان تفاعل المواد الاوليه.
تم الحصول على نسبة ( yield ) 48%وهي نسبه جيده مقارنة مع مامنشور في الادبيات وبأستخدام مسلك جديد في تحضير المشتق نورمال بيوتيل فيروسين يختلف عما منشور في الادبيات عن طريق الالكلة غير المباشرة للفيروسين.
تمتازهاتين الطريقتين بتوفر المواد الاولية , سهولة التحضير , توفر منظومة التحضير ورخص ثمنها أضافة الى اختزال الوقت كما امتازت هذه الطريقة بوفرة الناتج (yield) 80 - 90 %مقارنة بالطرق المنشوره الاخرى .
تم اثبات تكوين الماده ومشتقها بواسطة طرق التشخيص الطيفي والتقليدي من خلال طيف الاشعه الحمراء وطيف الاشعه فوق البنفسجيه والمرئيه وتقنية كروموتوغرافيا الغاز وتقنية معامل الانكسار والامتصاص الذري لحساب نسبة الحديد في المعقد المتكون و تم مقارنته مع الماده المستورده والتي أعطت تطابقا تاما .

Abstract

تضمن البحث تحضير ليكاند جديد هو (MBAHB) 5-[(6-methyl-2-benzothiazolyl)azo]-2-hydroxy benzoic acid من خلال إِِزوّاج ملح الديازونيوم للمركب 2-أمينو6-مثيل بنزوثايازول مع حامض السالساليك في محيطٍ كحولي قاعدي.
حضرت ثلاث معقدات كيليتية جديدة لليكاند مع أيوناتCu2+, Ni2+,Co2+ وتم تعيين صيغها بإستخدام طريقة النسبة المولية , تم حساب ثوابت الإستقرارية لهذه المعقدات بإستخدام مطيافية الأشعة فوق البنفسجية- المرئية وعندَ درجات ٍ حرارية مختلفة ٍوبالتالي حساب الدوال الثرموديناميكية لتكوّين هذه المعقدات .
تم تشخيص ودراسة المعقدات الصلبة بعد عزلها بإستخدام الأشعة فوق البنفسجية – المرئية إذ أظهرت محاليلها في الإيثانول إزاحةً حمراء مقارنةً بمحلول الليكاند في حين أظهر طيف الأشعة تحت الحمراء تغيراتٍ عديدة إذ ظهرت حزم جديدة لم تكن موجودة بينما عانت حزمٌ أخرى من تغيراتٍ في الشكل والشدة والموقع وقد أعزي السبب إلى حصول عملية التناسق مع الأيونات الفلزية .
بينت دراسة التوصيلية الكهربائية المولارية إنعدام الصفة الأيونية لمعقدات الليكاند ومن النتائج أعلاه فقد أقترحت الصيغ التركيبية والأشكال الفراغية لكلٍ من الليكاند ومعقداتهِ والتي توصلت الى إقتراح الصيغة ثمانية الوجوه مشوهة للمعقدات المحضرة.

Abstract

In this work the calculation of the concentration of radionuclide Ra226 in some samples of soil in governorate of Karbala have been done by gamma-ray spectroscopy NaI(TL) scintillation detector. The range of Ra226 activity was found from 11.41 ± 3.37 to 99.6 ±16.8 Bq/Kg. The concentrations of radon gas in the air was determined as well as the activity concentrations of Ra226 in vegetables. The doses resulting from the consumption of vegetables and those were coming from the inhalation of radon gas were estimated using some of mathematical equations , also the mean value of the activity concentrations of Ra226 inside the soil samples that measured in the present work were compared with the values of the other countries in the world and it is found that within the permitted limits.

Abstract

تم في هذا البحث دراسة تأثير درجات الحرارة C) 30C,40C,50) على بعض الخواص البصرية والكهربائية لبوليمر زانثان سيليلوز المذاب في الماء المقطر وللتراكيز من 0.1 الى0.5 بوحدات (gm/ml). حيث تم عمليا قياس معامل الانكسار بواسطة جهاز (Refractometer ) والتوصيلية الكهربائية لدرجات حرارة مختلفة ومن خلال هاتين الخاصيتين تم حساب كل من الخصائص البصرية والكهربائية مثل الانعكاسية والعكورة والانعكاسية المولارية ومعامل الرقة والاستقطابية زاوية بروستر والزاوية لحرجة وكذلك التوصيلية المولارية ودرجة التفكك.
وقد أظهرت النتائج أن جميع الخواص المذكورة آنفاً تزداد زيادة خطية(Linear) أو زيادة آسية (Exponential)) مع زيادة التركيز أما الزاوية الحرجة ودرجة التفكك والتوصيلية المولارية والانعكاسية المولارية. فقد وجد أنها تتناقص مع زيادة التركيز, بالنسبة الى تأثير درجة الحرارة فقد وجد بان هذه الخواص تتناقص مع زيادة درجة الحرارة ماعدا الزاوية الحرجة والتوصيلية والتوصيلية المولارية ودرجة تفكك المحلول حيث تزداد بزيادة درجة الحرارة .

Abstract

Salts like sodium chloride or potassium chloride are often added to drilling mud system to protect sensitive formations; especially when an oil well is drilled through a salt dome. One major concern with the burial of drilling wastes is the waste potential like salts migration of all directions. In this study, forty samples of total waste (before burial) and the same number of soil (after application of burial on-site disposal method) have been collected from four drilling sites at Bi-Hassan oilfield. Total dissolved solid (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), pH, chloride mass were determined in all samples in order to identify weather these sites containing high salts levels.
It was found, that most samples have EC and SAR values higher than of standard levels. This salinity will adversely impact vegetation, land and groundwater. Otherwise, no environmental effects will be expected from soil analyzing after adding soil to the wastes since the EC and SAR values are less than 4 mmhos/ cm and 12 respectively.

Fractures System Analysis of Nukhaib Area in Western Desert of Iraq Using Landsat Image Data

Abstract

Landsat ETM+ image data and one scene of digital elevation model (DEM) are used in the Nukhaib area. The image is geometrically corrected and has a resolution of 30 meter which can easily detect the lineaments in the study area. Three different software packages are used in digital processing of Landsat image data, interpretation and drawing lineaments, calculating their lengths and numbers, and to contour them. The image, which occupies bands 2, 3, and 4, has been stretched across the 0-255 range, in order to enhance the image contrast. Two methods are used to interpret the lineaments; filtering operations method which enhances the small scale features while maintains the large scale features, and color composites method which is used to enhance the image digitally and makes it easier to identify linear patterns of lineaments. The final map for the study area is generated from these two techniques and showed that there are 89 lineaments, with lengths between 452.94 and 19193.39 meter. The frequency rose diagram is extracted from the final map. This diagram represents the statistical directional distribution of lineaments, and showed that the northwest direction is the primary direction in the Nukhaib area which is the same direction of the dominant forces in the western desert of Iraq.

Abstract

اجريت دراسة مختبرية على دودة الارض L. terrestis خلال الفترة من كانون الثاني 2009 ولغاية آذار 2009. وذلك بالاضافة الاوساط الغذائية (نخالة الحنطة، مسحوق نبات الجت، مسحوق بذور الدخن) الى التربة وتحت درجات حرارية (20، 25، 30)م، حيث بينت النتائج تأثير مادة النخالة كوسط غذائي ولدرجتي (20و 25) م وقد بلغت الزيادة في طول الديدان (2.8 و 3.4)سم لدرجتي الحرارة اعلاه وعلى التوالي . اما معدل الطول فقد كان (5.3و 6.0)سم على التوالي . اما بالنسبة لوزن الديدان فقد كان مقدار الزيادة (0.15و 0.17)غم مقارنة بالعينة الاولى لدرجتي الحرارة (20 و 25)مo على التوالي والمعدل العام للوزن كان(0.61، 0.62) غم لدرجتي الحرارة المذكورة على التوالي.
وجد ان الزيادة في طول الديدان 1.7 سم بتأثير مادة النخالة تحت 30مo حيث كان هناك فرق معنوياً على معاملة المقارنة وتبين ان المعدل العام هو 5.4سم باستعمال المادة المذكورة وتحت 30مo أما استجابة الديدان لمسحوق الجت فكانت اقل ولم يظهر فروق معنوية في كل من الطول والوزن مقارنة بمادة النخالة . اما مسحوق بذور الدخن فلم يظهر اي استجابة معنوية على الطول او الوزن نقارنه الاوساط الغذائية الاخرى ولجميع الدرجات الحرارية المستعملة.

Abstract

شملت الدراسة أستخدم90 بيضة مجننة بعمر 18 يوما قسمت إلى ثلاثة مجاميع متساوية بواقع 30 بيضة لكل مجموعة . حقنت المجموعة الأولى بلقاح نيوكاسل الحي المضعف عتره لاسوتا بجرعة مقدارها 0.1 مل/بيضة الحاوي على 4×108 من االمستضد وكذلك عقار اليفاميزول بجرعة مقدارها 0.1 مل / بيضة الحاوي على 1.25 ملغم من المادة الفعالة بطريقة تلقيح الأجنة بعمر 18 يوما , أما المجموعة الثانية فحقنت بلقاح النيوكاسل الحي المضعف عتره لاسوتا بجرعة مقدارها 0.1 مل / بيضة الحاوي4×108 من المستضد بطريقة تلقيح الأجنة بعمر 18 يوما , وبالنسبة للمجموعة الثالثة فحقنت 0.1 مل من المحلول الملحي الوظيفي بنفس الطريقة المذكورة سابقا واعتبرت مجموعة سيطرة , أظهرت النتائج بان عقار الليفاميزول له تأثير جيد على نسبة الفقس وحيوية الأفراخ .
أجري اختبارتثبيط التلازن الدموي HI بالاعمار (28,14,1) يوما ووجد فرق معنوي بمقدار 0.05≥P بين المجموعة الأولى وبقية المجاميع وهذا يدل على أن لعقار الليفاميزول تأثير في زيادة نسبة الأضداد مما يؤدي إلى زيادة الاستجابة المناعية ضد مرض النيوكاسل لفروج اللحم .

هدفت التجربة إلى معرفة تأثير المستخلص المائي البارد لنبات الياس وجزء الهيدروكسيد للمستخلص الكحولي لنبات الثوم في تثبيط نمو بكتريا Pseudomonas aeruginosa داخل جسـم الفئران البيض السويدية.
كما أظهرت الدراسة أن حقن الفئران بالمستخلص المائي البارد للياس فقط دون عالـــــق بكتيري يسبب موت الفئران المعاملة بعد ستة أيام من الحقن بينما لم يسبب جزء الهيدروكســـيد للمســــــــتخلص الكحولي أي حالة موت للفئران المحقونة به وبذلك فقد وفر جزء الهيدروكسيد للمستخلص الكحولي للثوم حمــــــاية عالية ضد التأثـــــــــيرات المرضية لبكتريـــــا P.aeruginosa من خلال محافظته على القيم الطبـــيعية لمعايير الدم الفســـلجية وعدم أظهار أعراض سريرية واضحة على الفئران المحــقونة بالمســتخلص وبالبكتريا في الوقت الذي حدثت فيه تغـيرات في معايير الدم لدى الفئران المحقونة بالبكتريا فقط مع ظهور أعراض سريرية واضحة انتهت بموت الفئران.

Abstract

أجريت هذه التجربة في حقل خاص في قضاء النعمانية في محافظة واسط للموسم 2010 لدراسة تأثير الرش بمستخلص الطرطيع ومنظم النمو Grofalcs بالتراكيز (20 و 30)% و (0.2 ، 0.3 و 0.4) غم/لتر على النباتات لمرتين الأولى في بداية التزهير والثانية بعد 30 يوماً من الرشة الأولى في النمو الخضري والثمري لصنف الباذنجان المحلي. أظهرت النتائج ان اعلى معدل لارتفاع النبات ومساحته الورقية ومحتوى الاوراق من الكلوروفيل الكلي والـ IAA والـ GA3 وطعم الثمرة وصلابتها قد تحقق عند الرش بمستخلص الطرطيع 30% + Grofalcs 0.4 غم/لتر والذي بلغ (122.13 سم ، 954.25 سم2 ، 124.17 ملغم/100 غم وزن طري ، 31.58 ملغم/كغم وزن جاف ، 26.41 ملغم/كغم وزن جاف ، 4.00 و 5.12 كغم/سم2) على التوالي وبفروق معنوية قياساً بمعاملة المقارنة التي اعطت اقل القيم ، في حين ادت معاملات التجربة المنفردة والمشتركة الى تقليل معنوي في محتوى القشور من صبغة الانثوسيانين قياسا ًبمعاملة المقارنة التي تفوقت باعلى معدل لهذه الصبغة 530.16 ملغم/100 غم قشور.

Abstract

The use of gas turbine is increasing day by day for producing electricity and for various industrial applications. It’s well-known that thermal efficiency of open gas turbine varies with the fuel used in the combustion process. In this work an investigation for the effect of different hydrocarbon, alcohol and hydrogen fuels on the performance of simple and modified gas turbine has been studied. A computer program was written in Quick basic Language has been accomplished to calculate the thermal efficiency, work ratio, specific fuel consumption….etc. in gas turbine working with different types of fuels. It’s found that specific fuel consumption is margined according to the fuel used because its dependency on the enthalpy of reaction of the fuel. Also it’s noted that hydrogen fuel has higher thermal efficiency and lower fuel consumption than other fuels, but its requires high pressure to insert it to combustor. Therefore we must use methane as fuel in the plant since it is more common type than other.

Abstract

It is a common practice to assume infinite rigidity when analyzing and designing mat foundations, using the conventional “rigid” method, a case in which the effects of the mat flexural rigidity and the modulus of subgrade reaction of the supporting soil are ignored. The intent of this research is to investigate the effect of the flexural rigidity, modulus of subgrade reaction and the corresponding variations of the pressure of the soil under the foundation in the linear static analysis results (bending moment, shear forces, and deflection) in a typical raft. The soil is considered to be homogeneous elastic materials and the linear finite element analysis is carried out by using the rectangular four-node thick plate element, in which the shear deformation is taken into account. It was concluded that the flexural rigidity considerably affects the analysis more than the soil modulus.

Modified Fault Diagnosis Method For Power Transformers Using Fuzzy Logic Technique

Abstract

The most commonly diagnosis method for power transformer faults is the dissolved gas analysis (DGA) of transformer oil. Although various methods have been developed to interpret DGA results such as IEC gas ratio code method, and key gas method, they sometimes fail to determine the faults. Although Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) has widely been used in ‘the industry, but in some cases, this conventional method fail to diagnosis. This normally happens for those transformers which have more than one type of fault. Also, in some cases, the DGA results cannot be matched by the existing codes making the diagnosis unsuccessful in multiple faults.
This paper presents integration between software Programming using fuzzy logic technique (intelligent technique) and IEC gas ratio code (classical technique) to diagnose multiple faults in a transformer. This modified approach is recommended for fault transformer diagnosis and the advisable actions to be taken. It has been proved to be a very useful tool for transformer diagnosis and maintenance planning. For instance, in fact, the gas ratio boundary may not be clear, especially when more than one type of fault exist. Therefore, between different types of faults, the code should not change sharply across the boundaries. The proposed method has been implemented using C++, version 6.0 language, where several case studies are tested.

Abstract

The addition of Al to alpha brass alloy yields a significant improvement in the oxidation resistance. In this work, pure aluminum (1- 2% wt.) added to alpha brass alloy. These alloys were prepared by melting and casting in a metallic mold.
Cyclic oxidation tests were conducted on the alpha brass alloy with and without aluminum addition at a wide rang of temperatures (500- 900 °C) in still air for 52 hrs at 4 hrs cycle.
The oxidation kinetics follows breakaway behavior for alpha brass alloy at 800 and 900 °C. This indicates that the oxidation behavior of this alloy is non-protective. The phases presents on the cyclic oxidation of alpha brass alloy with out aluminum addition as revealed by XRD analysis are: ZnO, CuO and Cu2O.
Alpha brass alloys containing Al demonstrates high oxidation resistance. This is attributed to the formation of protective alumina. Oxide morphology was examined using light optical microscope.

يعتبر برنامج كوكل أرث(GOOGLE EARTH) العالمي من البرامج ذات الاستخدام الواسع في شتى المجالات منها مايتعلق بأعداد الخرائط والمخططات لكافة مناطق العالم وتحديد الإحداثيات والمسارات لجميع المشاريع والطرق, ولغرض الاعتماد عليه لابد من تقييم دقة الإحداثيات المستخدمة فيه ومدى إمكانية تصحيح هذه الإحداثيات بحيث يمكن الاستفادة منها في المخططات والأعمال التي لاتحتاج إلى دقة عالية.
تم في هذا البحث تقييم عدد(20) من النقاط ذات الإحداثيات التربيعية الشمالية والشرقية (E,N) الموجودة ضمن مدينة كربلاء وإيجاد مقدار الخطأ فيها بعد مقارنة إحداثيات هذه النقاط مع صورة فضائية رقمية مصححة من قبل شركة (Info graph) بدقة(0.64m) بالاعتماد على نظام التسقيط العالمي(GPS) لعدد من النقاط في مدينة كربلاء وبأستخدام برنامج(ARC MAP V9.1) الذي هو احد برامج نظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS).وتم أيضا استخدام أسلوب التحليل الإحصائي في إيجاد معدل الخطأ لهذه النقاط وتصحيح الإحداثيات على ضوء ذلك,وقد وجد ايضا ان مقدار الخطأ في النقطة الواحدة لايتساوى في الاحداثي الشمالي والشرقي لنفس النقطة وكذلك يختلف من نقطة الى اخرى,وان مقدار الخطأ في الاحداثي الشمالي دائما موجبا و مقدار الخطأ في الاحداثي الشرقي دائما سالبا
